PinFall for the Win!šŸŽ¹

Before all this today to end September, (hard to imagine) are a couple extras from last week. First, I neglected to mention those few other dates of my birthday. The 1986 interview with Dingo Warrior in WCCW when I turned 14 AND the 1992 interview with ā€œ The Ultimate Maniacsā€ when I turned 20. It was their TV debut. That team consisted of UW and MM ( Macho Man,) naturally. Second, I thought of a few more food items I love! Besides shrimp, I do enjoy those other crustaceans like crab šŸ¦€ and lobster, šŸ¦ž ~ always yummy to me! No ocean visit of course here in Ohio, but I am enjoying a good book šŸ“• and had a lovely dinner out. Lobster pizza for the win!!! Oh, and cheesecake too. šŸ˜‹

Speaking of wins, let’s get into that title, shall we? I did notice how never had I used the word fall or autumn in a post. The other seasons have had a mention, but not this one us folks here in the northeast are having. So, I created a title with a wrestling reference although it kind of connects today. It’s probably not in the way you could be thinking, though. The photo below is just that~~~ a photo to use with no connection. Soooo, with all that out of the way, here’s the story.

Anyone remember years back when I talked all about pianos? I’ll link that one at the end to refer back upon. It resurfaces a little today as my daughter gave me a goodie that left me laughing, still am. 🤣How does she do it? I don’t know, but it’s always great on my end to have some mystery she will never truly know. 🤭

It started with my girl trying once again as she does with her keyboard on occasion. She gets out her phone and plays around with notes, it’s super cool. I couldn’t take it any longer, so I peaked in and said how I bet Mama can still play her songs. Oh boy… it’s back again and so I ventured into her room. It began with chopsticks that of course most all know but I have my other songs. Fans might see where this is going as I DID learn another song while taking my early childhood music class years ago. It’s a cute lil’ ditty called ā€œPeek-A-Booā€ so working together, we got the notes. Then I HAD to bring up my better song that I’m sure she totally forgot about. It’s just three 3ļøāƒ£ notes that I play even though it does go on and on. That ā€œ Unstableā€theme came running back and yes, I do still know it. I hadn’t played it in such a long while. For those new, that was Ultimate Warrior’s theme. It will never disappear from my memory…

Here’s the funny part with her that got me laughing, and I will continue to do so. I played it~~~ at least that part I know and then she says this: ā€œ Everyone knows that!ā€ I started laughing and said back to her: ā€œ No, they don’t!ā€ This banter went on for a bit and I couldn’t stop my giggles from continuing. It was so nice to have a belly laugh as those are quite rare for me nowadays. She kept sticking to her words as it’s a popular melody and maybe on the keyboard it is? but I know better. If SHE only knew like the song states… 😜I’d play it a few times and she’d say the same thing, it was getting hysterical to me.

I seriously could not stop laughing after our keyboard discussion so guess I needed that. Maybe I’ll play it again soon as a pick me up which I would love. Speaking of those, the wrestling podcast guys were so sweet in wishing me a happy birthday. Seems I share that day with another guy in the group as we became tag team partners! The best comment was when someone told me ā€œ to have the most ultimate birthday!ā€ That made me well up a little. 🄹Another said how I am ā€œ one of their favorites.ā€ Wow, I was honored. I am the only woman pretty much but still very special receiving that compliment. šŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø I wasn’t connecting until later on with that episode but super nice to feel missed. I’m glad they have accepted me as part of their wrestling ā€œfamilyā€ of sorts. I don’t always go live and call in, but every guy has nice things to say. We truly do need to hear good words from others once in a while, it does make a difference. BTW~~~ it’s called ā€œ 80’s wrestling the podcast.ā€ Not always 80’s though… Feel free to check them out.

So, how are YOU all doing out there? Leaves šŸ‚ are falling here and it’s still pretty warm out. I dislike the cold as many know and all the yardwork. We will only have a few trees in our new space next year and not all the massive ones here. So much I will miss but not all that physical manual labor I don’t want anymore. It will be 25 years for me next spring so what a great milestone. I will begin again with all the emotions. More on that when the time comes… Hard to believe my next post is October already! That brings my anniversaries with a venting post so gear up for it all warriors. I didn’t want to tag all that kind of stuff in, but it goes together so writing it out I need to do.

I’m going to close this one earlier today because of the short story with my girl’s keyboard. I do wish you all a beautiful day wherever reading today and hope you continue to enjoy these writings with all my various topics every week. I thank you all if loyal OR if new, everyone of you matters to me. Don’t ever forget that warriors. Feel free to send me feedback, your stories about UW, or anything POSITIVE you’d like to share. I will honor your time in reaching out if you do. You can find me in an Ultimate Warrior Facebook group, Twitter ( or X) Instagram with a few UW groups, and my YouTube channel. I’m not that active on the channel anymore but browse videos as there are many on Warrior.

Sorry to all those Snapchat, TikTok, or even now Threads ( yes I am aware of them…) users. Not for me as I am not a social media queen with all those apps. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøToo many to keep up with which leads to people pleasing on my end.. It’s just too much personally, and I don’t need every detail of my life examined and posted daily, ha ha! I know some people who post a pic just to post and that’s fine for them, but I don’t crave that type of attention. I post occasionally and that’s enough for me… I see many pet photos and I gotta say- mine are not that photogenic at all! They look terrified in most pics, haha… To each their own. If * MY* people wanna know more of what I am really up to, they can text me to find out… My daughter sends me around 10+ IG videos a day and I do look at them because they’re funny but it’s not something I’m totally into. Society has changed so much, hasn’t it? No judgment from me (as I hope you return that sentiment…) as many in my life will do just that and judge… Be you however it is and I will be me…

*** 4/24/19~ read if you wish! It totally connects with today’s post…

P.P.S. ā€œIf You Only Knewā€ was a group song sung by the wrestlers and Elizabeth as part of the WWF ā€˜87 Slammy Awards. This is for anyone wondering of my song reference earlier… It’s on YouTube if you have never seen it, too funny to me always!!! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

The Ultimate ā€œUnstableā€ Pianos šŸŽ¼šŸŽ¹šŸŽø

All Ultimate Warrior fans know his theme music of “Unstable.” It’s one of those WWE melodies you’d never forget and I never have either. Never will. Once I heard it, it was in my head just like all those other songs we hear over and over which become favorites.

When I was that teenage girl, one day our piano was calling my name. This piano belonged to my great uncle and now we had it in our home. My mom would play, my sister took lessons briefly, and my Grandpa played when he and Grandma visited. They also had a piano in their home for years.

Well, guess my brain wanted to learn the notes for “Unstable.” Not that whole song you see above but just the three basic ones. It’s so simple! The music itself looks complicated but really it isn’t. I got it after a few short tries. Nobody recognized this but me, probably not even my brother. Many times I’d be psyched about seeing the Ultimate Warrior on T.V. or an upcoming match, I’d pass by the piano in our dining room. I’d play those three repetitive notes of “Unstable.” Also, when I’d be having a bad day and needed a pick me up, those notes on that piano worked every single time.

Years went by and after my parents divorced, mom sold our house. My sister took the piano so it remained in the family. Flash forward a few more years to 2014. Don’t worry– no sadness. Christmas Eve we were at my sister’s and the kids always gravitated to the piano in their front room. I hadn’t thought of U.W’s theme in years but that year was different.

Immediately, I went towards the piano and told the kids I wanted to play. Those three notes came easy as I remembered like always. There was such mystery of saying how I learned this little song years ago and never forgot. Oh, the memories that pop in our heads! I left the room giggling as they continued tickling the ivories.

My son had a toy keyboard and yes, again “Unstable” was played. Maybe I had that same silly mentality with this song like I did with grief. “If I don’t cry, I’ll forget him. If I don’t play Unstable, I’ll forget it.” None of this is true and yet perhaps part of me believed that back then. A few Christmases ago, my daughter got a REAL big keyboard (the one in the photo.) Guess this really does belong in the family.

Of course, where did my mind go? You got it. I had to play and sometimes when the mood strikes, my fingers find their way into her room and onto the keyboard. About a month or so ago, this girl was desperately needing my attention with a song she taught herself on the keyboard. She does have a book but this song was a little bit special. NO– it was not “Unstable!” I mean, really??? She was convinced Mama would KNOW this song but I knew she had been playing cartoon themes. She played a little and wanted me to guess. I had no idea. It was played again and I tried so hard but nothing came to me. She hummed it and then I knew. It was “Heaven” by Bryan Adams. Just a few lines but I was impressed! How did she know this?

I asked her why this song? She didn’t really say except that I liked it. I asked her to play it later so Dad could hear but no, it was just for me. Yeah, it’s a romantic one but the title– hmmm… She didn’t find a YouTube video and we don’t have it on a CD. It does get played on the radio sometimes but she just learned it. Maybe she can learn by ear like her great aunt? Maybe she was also given a message?

A day or so later, my husband and I were in the car and the song “Heaven” by Bryan Adams played on the radio. I then told him the story of our girl and her keyboard. Music strikes again as synchronistic. šŸ˜‰ She hasn’t played it since but just like with “Unstable,” now I won’t forget “Heaven.”

The number three connects as well with my childhood piano, (becoming my sister’s) my son’s toy keyboard, and then my daughter’s REAL one. All three notes. She could’ve had any song in her head but it was very specific and just for me. I am still amazed every time as at first this story was just about the other two. Quite possibly I needed that three count once again.

Those “Unstable” pianos will always be ultimate but now a little piece of “Heaven” connects them all. šŸ™šŸ»šŸŒ„

P.S. When I first got the “Life Lived Forever” book, I asked my son to play “Unstable” on his trombone. He says:”Um, mom, this is for guitar!” Back then– brain freeze!!

P.P.S. We DO have “Waking Up The Neighbours” by Bryan Adams circa 1991. Another song about Heaven on that one! Bryan Adams is Canadian=WMVI=Canada šŸ˜šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦
