Our History of Warriors🇺🇸❤️

Welcome back readers or if you are just joining me, hello. I’m glad you are here. Whether you find this blog entertaining, knowledgeable, or anything in between~~~ I thank you. Today you will notice another pic of the Dingo Warrior below. These next few weeks in September will connect to my birthday. Well, just this intro part now but they happened significantly so always worth a mention. That promo of DW was shown on WCCW, September 19, 1986~~~ my 14th birthday. Yep, it truly was and began the “face” or good guy era of the Dingo Warrior so check it out if you can. It’s on the “Always Believe” DVD as another birthday date of mine is coming up too. Some may know but we need to get out the ol’ WWF years and dust them off for that one. I have mentioned it before. ☺️I wasn’t obviously following WCCW then or it at all really but how about that? Knowing Dingo became a good guy on a birthday of mine, aw shucks. 😉I was a freshman in high school too.

OK, well now there is another memorable date here in the U.S. today. It’s Patriot day. For any outside of America, that date of 9/11/01 is when terrorists attacked our nation with commercial aircrafts which ended thousands of lives. I remember that day very vividly as I’m sure you U.S. readers do too if you are old enough. Those that risk their lives in true sacrifice for others are real warriors through and through. Even though I say I will not watch any of the specials, every year I seem to catch one. Last year, it was all about the firefighters and their families. It might’ve been new but despite emotion~~~ I am glad I watched. We don’t want to see that image of those planes hitting the World Trade Center and yet, we become mesmerized every time.

Just like that tragedy of 23 years ago, every generation seems to have one if not several. My mom still remembers where she was when JFK was assassinated in 1963. That day also marked my father-in-law’s b-day years before I was born. Of course with him, he had that memory too. I was very young when a few bullets struck then President Ronald Reagan and then Pope John Paul II in the early 80s. Luckily, they both survived so huge tragedies avoided but still affecting us all over the world. My generation had the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion of 1986 which killed all on board. I was in 8th grade and saw it live as our classes always watched the lift offs. My Dad worked for NASA 50 years so it was a mess of emotion at my house. I had a science test the next day too, I couldn’t study. 😓

Now, this place in history has the COVID pandemic as that is a global event. Not to mention more dated history with veterans, survivors, or lives lost in any wars. We will always remember and never forget those horrific events of our lives that affect all of us in different ways, but let’s move into the wrestling aspect.

Fans of Ultimate Warrior, the WWF, E, or wrestling at all~~~ I bet you have your memories of being somewhere when something dramatic happened. Maybe you weren’t somewhere specific but you know what you were doing, who you were hanging with, or any of those moments in time. When UW won WMVI, I was at home but on pins and needles all night it seemed. Of course, I didn’t know any results for days as it was back in that time. I can think back on other huge wins of his but will stick to 1990. I know some of you can recall those important events in wrestling history too. How about Hulkamania? Those unprecedented or first time ever matches that remain etched in our brains for life will always be there. We’ll all reminisce about how iconic even this past WMXL was or even when the company no longer had a McMahon at the helm… I don’t want to dwell on the WWE tragedies, but you know those that mattered most to you. Besides Warrior’s passing, there have been so many others and a few we don’t want to remember and yet we do. Could they be historic wrestling warriors? It’s all in our own perspective.

Who are some true and real warriors to you? They can be those throughout history as I’m sure Warrior would name a few but even those you know personally. What makes them a warrior of importance to you? Warrior recognized many past leaders of not only history, but philosophers, writers, artists, authors, and others. They may have qualities we aspire to or admire for their success. We look up to their determination to make things happen despite potential outcomes. Do they and did they sacrifice to help others or is it for some other reasons you deemed them worthy? It doesn’t necessarily also mean they have been in any kind of physical battle.

Pro wrestlers put themselves through so much just to entertain us fans and of course, I will NEVER compare any of what they do with those other more prominent people of past history who gave up their lives. Wrestlers are a different breed of warriors defined in another way, but they make sacrifices too being part of that sport. They don’t fit in the typical category of how other pro sports are brought about. Matches are predetermined, much is “staged” and all that, but still~~~ they remain heroic in the minds and hearts of true fans everywhere.

The history of pro wrestling has been around longer than other numerous sports and they have proven their longevity throughout time. It dates back to ancient civilizations. They are our own historic warriors, but just remember~~~ there’s only ONE Dingo and of course Ultimate one… 👍

P.S. My heart goes out to all those today who lost someone on 9-11-01. This Patriot day honors all of you and forever will… ❤️‍🩹

I'm a wife, mom of 2 and have always been a huge fan of WWE’s the Ultimate Warrior despite his passing. I created this blog to share my stories relating to him that happened years ago and some are continuing today with his Spirit alive and well! I hope some fans out there relate and enjoy my blog!!! Check out my book “Spirit and Belief” on how Warrior influenced me in spirit. It is filled with humor, family stories, psychic terms, following my intuition, and how everyone has natural abilities we can tap into or get guidance upon.
