We truly need fans, all of us everyday warriors. Despite this global pandemic we still need fans support all the time. Sporting events are not the same without those people getting behind a team, performer, or event. COVID-19 has affected us all in numerous ways and some more than others. We generally associate the word “fan” with following fame but really it is for everything. WWE needs fans to thrive but so do other businesses as well.
I bet you are a fan of your favorite restaurant. Patrons, yes but fan always. You probably also have favorite products which makes you a fan of those. Think of where you like to visit or travel. You’re a fan of that. It can be anything or anyone at all. Financially lately, everyone has suffered including teachers who are fans of their students missing school right now ): Fans keep us going with or without money and we need them to survive.
Even simple acts of kindness matter like a smile or hug ( not yet for that though…) You give and receive because you are a fan. A fan of the act and the recipient. Words of encouragement can go a long way to make someone’s day better. We ALL are of course fans with the millions of health care workers around the globe. πThey work tirelessly to help keep us all safe. Am sure you’ve been on both ends of being a fan and that’s the balance of life essential to humans. Without fans, we are all nothing.
Some may say that certain famous people are successful because of their co-workers, boss, or a storyline written for their character. Those do and can in fact be true but they make no difference at all without fans attending, watching, buying, or listening. It doesn’t matter the profession. I never knew how fans would treat the Ultimate Warrior after his many returns but there they were once again showing support for their favorite. It’s like that for us too.
Parents are their kids first fans, then teachers, and then peers. If any relationship is genuine, they’ll back you no matter what. Authentic people are like that. Can you say you are a fan of someone despite obstacles life throws at them? For some, it may be difficult but for others they stand by because being a fan of another is in their blood. Don’t you want that as well for yourself? You want and need those fans beside you even though s*** happens!
Can you say that being a fan of someone or something has worked well in your life? Let me think about that for a second with Warrior…. π€To quote Steve Austin: “Hell yeah!” It does apply to other situations too… There are those things we may abandon over time and cease our fanship. It can be the simplest of ideas or the more complicated of relationships. Right now, am sure the world’s people are not fans of “social distancing” but it is our lifestyle without a choice as of late. Some concepts, places, or people we outgrow and need to move on with newer fan bases. Then, there’s the long haul as you Ultimate Warrior fans can surely relate. Regardless of any little or big events, we keep our fan base strong. π―πͺπ»
I bet your list is huge with everything deserving of fanship in life up to now. Yes, businesses need the money so people get paid as is their livelihood which we support. Besides personal relationships, every other fan base you project involves an exchange of money that keeps industry going. We still need to do our best with being fans of who and what we love.
I can honestly say my list with what I love has changed somewhat with age and time but there are many constants. Think small and then move onto bigger stuff that has always been there. For me, I’ve forever been a fan of the color pink, nachos, nature, bike riding, swimming, (last week’s post!) bubble baths, reading, shrimp, and summer. Later additions include fitness, nail polish, writing, (of course!) little kids, singing, crystals, meditation, avocados, and the best for last– Warrior.. Not to mention virtues and belief systems we should all be fans of. Other people as well.
Warrior had his list of being a fan with many interests too but held a special place in his heart for those that would never waver despite adversity– US. I thank you ALL for the ultimate support of his legacy and for the support of my work keeping it going always. Whatever else you are a fan of, you’ll know if it’s worth the longevity or not. During these unprecedented times, keep your interest as a fan of what you love close. People, businesses, ideas, places, attitudes, and anything in between.
We all deserve fans and we need to be one as well. I honor all fans because as people, we can turn nothing into something.
P.S. The biggest fan you can be is to YOURSELF. ππ€
