Warriors make the Command! šŸ’ŖšŸ»šŸ¤¼šŸ’™

I promised you readers how another * BIG* anniversary was coming your way so today is the day. WMVII turned 35 yesterday on the 24th. It was that iconic and unprecedented match between ā€œ Macho Kingā€ Randy Savage versus the Ultimate Warrior in a career ending retirement bout. You will see UW below during the contract signing saying: ā€œ My gods have spoken and the warriors have made the command- ā€˜til the end!ā€ ! I still get teary every time I watch the end when Randy reunites with Elizabeth and as I always say~~~ ratings GOLD at that moment. To all reading who might not know this, but a million NO’s here. Warrior respected Randy so much and would NEVER just pressure the ā€œ Macho Kingā€ to get pinned by UW’s boot over his chest. Those guys rehearsed how that match went numerous times and Randy would never have agreed to something like that unless it worked for the match or helped business.

I’m not entirely biased as there are interviews but it’s also knowledge I just know so true fans will understand that. Of course, I can’t forget the other matches of WMVII but MK and UW stole that show as many others will attest. 35, my oh my~~~ another milestone for more of UW’s WM’s and the only time he walked and not ran to the ring. He and Randy were so unique and special together as I’ve written about plenty. That’s my command as one of Warrior’s warriors but many know this about them or I hope you do.

I hope all of you make the command to do in your life what will live forever as that was another of Warrior’s words of wisdom. Those two guys did just that with their unforgettable WMVII match, but we too can do things which become impactful. Think about it for a minute. Us wrestling fans STILL talk about our favorite times from certain eras ( the Golden one for me) even 35 years later. Sure, what they did is not what us regular folks will do, but we all have our own unique purpose~~~ however you find it. If you feel like you aren’t sure what yours is, I command you from one warrior to another to search well and keep searching. It might take 35 years but at least you can say you found it.

What is commanding you until the end warriors? It’s OK if you can’t directly pin it to the mat but your intuition will be nudging you until it gets brought forth. It might not be slamming in your face but more of a little snarl starting in your chest. I was struck by a line in a recent email which made me *PAUSE* yet again. I guess you can say, despite my work~~~ the snarl in my chest started to form as it never truly leaves. It pertained to doing the work which yes, Warrior alluded to in many speeches. To summarize, we all are given a roadmap of sorts to interpret in our own way with many paths. We have choices but need to decide which way to go as one will command you more if you truly feel it to be so.

If believing you are commanded to continue or even begin certain work in your life, DO IT despite naysayers. For me, this cannot be more true. I do feel I was ā€œ prepared and readyā€ which was another quote from Warrior on the ā€œUltimate Collectionā€ DVD to move forward with my writings, speaking, and sharing truth with all of you. Warrior’s work is continuing through me as I perceive him in differing ways. No, my commanding isn’t the same as what story was referenced in that email surrounding a millennia ago, but nevertheless~~~ it started my snarl as the gods have spoken til the end. I know this might sound a little much for some of you but remember as my friend wrote: ā€œ you sound like an expert and not a gushing fan.ā€ Another truth told by one who knows me well.

You may have many roads commanding you and even though a choice needs to be made, change can be made later and nothing’s wrong with that. We are allowed to have options as that is what our free will enables us to do. Sometimes, that road ends or the path gets well worn guiding us to new ones. You might not see it along the way but deep in your gut, it knows the direction on command. Those nudges will turn into slams but always in a good way. Some of them marked on our roadmap may not make sense but later on they will. Here’s a direct quote from that email: ā€œ so, the work, the purpose in being human is to try, and fail, and try again to remember the soul of who we are.ā€ Yep, our soul knows that true path meant for us with roadblocks and all. We still need to try and see where it takes us. Just make sure your commanding work is coming from your soul and not the ego. Our true work ā€œ returns us to the heart.ā€ ā™„ļø . That’s a quote too. I don’t believe any critics will question that of me anymore, but if they do~~~ I let them. Perhaps they’re not meant to truly understand.

So warriors, as we remember WMVII of 35 years ago this week, think about what your soul is commanding you to do. Randy and Warrior did their work but now, we need to do ours. I hope you are but when in doubt, ask that inner voice we all have just waiting on the ready. No overthinking or planning is needed unlike those two guys getting ready for their retirement match. Tune into yourself to listen to those gods commanding you. They won’t pin you down to the mat with a boot either. Make sure your work lives forever till the end, no matter what it is. Your work is your work and the roadmap is there. You just need to decide what path to take, even 35 years later…

Steel Cage Survivor ā›“ļø

ā€œ The caged bird sings…of things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard…and he names the sky his own.ā€

~~~ Caged Bird by
Maya Angelou
I have paraphrased that popular poem above as it relates to the photo of Ultimate Warrior used today. Once looking at it, I decided if any references fit and that poem came to me. I had forgotten Maya wrote a book titled that as well, so I did some research just to ā€œropeā€ it all in. I think those stanzas above fit with Warrior, don’t you? No, I’m not thinking of ā€œ The Birdmanā€ Koko B. Ware here! The WWF years were known for many steel cage matches. One I thought about (of course) was SummerSlam ā€˜90 when UW got that IC belt back from ā€œRavishingā€ Rick Rude. Another was mentioned in my book: ā€œ Spirit and Beliefā€ involving ā€œ Macho Kingā€ Randy Savage and ā€œ Sensationalā€ Queen Sherri. UW lost that match but slammed Sherri at the end. I know there were others and he wasn’t always the ā€œsurvivorā€ like my title implies, but we all can be~~ even without a WWF (E) Survivor Series.
We all tend to be in those steel cages of sorts~~~ is yours blue? Think about it just a moment. When we’re young, we get raised in our parents’ home (hopefully most do) and have their values, rules, and all that they teach us. It’s not really a cage but we learned from those four walls first before anywhere else. It’s like a fortress nobody can bend or break, until we want out. I’m not saying all of us totally rebel but there will come a time when we need and should be out on our own to begin a new.
I feel like a caged animal with all this winter snow we are still having! I love my home life and like to be comfy, but then have to just get out. We all need to do that at times despite the outside world. For me, I still have those moments like a caged bird singing hoping someone hears me. That can act as a metaphor with these writings to all of you but I mean something deeper. I know I am of service but often ask myself if there is more. Are there more ways I can break out of my steel cage to serve? Quite possibly when we move in a few years, I will receive new downloads in a new environment. It is desperately needed as who knows what the future will bring. For right now, maybe my life is to remain in this cage of sorts like I said before with the presence to just be. When we know we should change something, we’ll feel it but if not, perhaps that’s OK for the time being. We all don’t contribute to life in the same way and shouldn’t.
I have studied much spiritually these last 11+ years (yes, a few before Warrior passed) and I’ve learned A LOT. I can do so much more or get certified in other forms of energy healing, but don’t feel compelled to do so. Maybe later in my life there will come a time for that. For me though, I’m seldom a creature of habit in that way. My meditations are pretty consistent with how I practice and what I use, but in other areas ~~~ I tend to stray out of my cage. Yoga studios changed, how I approached the Fairs changed as I seek out speakers now instead of vendors, and all this is good. Life needs to be kept moving. I’m not a ā€œliferā€ in many paths except a few. Warrior was the same. We became multi passionate seekers. I have said before how wrestling wasn’t going to be his entire career with nothing else, and my life went in that direction as well. I never returned to teaching preschool and have no desire to do that again. I feel more like a student and not a teacher so much anymore.
Do any of you feel caged in a way waiting for the escape hatch or door to open? There’s a chance you wanna break through those bars but aren’t sure how. We might not have that tag team partner to tap us in or out really, and we have to decide on our own. There is a no scripted wrestling match pre-decided for us, but we are still performers acting in our life with free will. Sometimes we need a blank slate, canvas, (or even cage,) to truly see what lies before us.
I am realizing how that fits for me. ā€œ Life is like a dress rehearsalā€ which Warrior said and we don’t always have the answers or it all figured out. Let that be how it needs to be for a while. You can decide without rushing to get out of the cage before the match ends. You can ring your own šŸ”” and know your worst opponent is yourself. We are free to come and go in our cage without it feeling like a trap keeping us locked in. Be that co-creator you are meant to be as the Universe isn’t going to do all the work for you. If you rush into something~~~ that is not your soul, but the ego deciding for you. Yes, sometimes it’s OK to be spontaneous but big changes require much thinking. Just don’t overthink and talk yourself out of a new thing. Follow those passions warriors so your cage is a safe haven, but not one you are stuck in forever.
My caged bird sings for more but what that is has yet to be determined. She is searching, but it remains unknown for now. I know I’m heard and when a time arises, I will be ready. All this prep work isn’t for nothing! You need to believe in that too despite what isn’t working in your life right now or if you feel a bit frustrated. We might lose direction and want the old cage, but birds need to fly (even out of nests) and explore. Remember~~~ it’s the journey, not the destination.
P.S. Be the Ultimate Survivor of your own cage match, you deserve to be the victor! Come and go as you please or begin again. It’s all up to youā€¦ļ漚Ÿ¤¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ’ŖšŸ»šŸ«µšŸ»
