SNAP into it! ❤️💛📺

Yes, warriors let’s snap into it! A New Year is filled with fresh starts, ultimate beginnings, and a clean slate. Now that the holidays are over, I hope you were able to celebrate and yet get some much deserved rest as well. This post is just a great big ol’ mix of stuff without a real topic today so look at it as a “hodgepodge” of odds and ends. I had found a few pics of UW from different parts in his wrestling career (and one beyond) so you’re gonna see those these next few weeks of January. Do you WWF fans old enough remember how Ultimate Warrior was the FIRST “spokesman” for the Slim Jim meat sticks brand you see below, blurry and all? It was hard to get a still shot! He was in those commercials mostly shown on the weekend mornings along with their WWF programming. Yes, “ The Macho Man” Randy Savage made Slim Jim’s more iconic as time went on as I STILL see his image advertised to this day.

Moving on. I guess I still had a few “mentionables” from 2024 as they came into my thoughts. The Warrior Award was also discontinued this past year. If it still would’ve been presented, this year would be number 11. 10 years ago it began with Connor Michalek being the first recipient posthumously… I’m still upset that a little girl never got inducted. We never did hear officially as to why WWE decided to end it but with the release of Dana months prior, it made sense. I believe they strayed somewhat with its initial conception but nonetheless~~~ 2024 marked its end.

Speaking of dates, did you know this? 2025’s dates are exactly the same and lineup with 2014’s? I know this has happened before in years past and yes~~~ I am mentioning it because of 2014 of course. I’m not sure how I happened to look ahead at the calendar to know that, but it’s true! Check it out for yourself. So, for you Warrior fans, yep~~~exactly the same dates if you were thinking about April. I don’t want to dwell, but it will repeat of 11 years ago this entire year. I wonder how often this occurs? I’m not sure. Let’s continue this for a moment as I usually talk about a connection with wrestling. 1990 was 35 years ago. 😳 Think of your life. I was getting close to graduating high school with it being my senior year. For most of that year, UW was champion but hard to believe the early 90s were 30+ years ago now. That is crazy to me, 3️⃣ decades almost for some of those years. I started my preschool profession then too. I know you’re gonna check a calendar of some sort, aren’t ya? 😉

Another moment from 2024~~~yes, I thought of one more as it’s real funny. Remember me saying how I would try to watch any of SNME ( Saturday Night’s Main Event) but we were at my niece’s wedding reception that night? My brother actually got it up on his phone on the dance floor, but it was so loud in there to really hear. I just wanted to see the return of Jesse Ventura and hear the old theme music again! I did however, catch the last match back at the hotel. I knew Cody would retain the belt but wanted to listen to commentary. Another SNME is coming up so maybe I’ll catch it in its entirety.

Staying with WWE, did any of you fans watch the premiere of RAW this past Monday on Netflix? What a brilliant concept first initiated last year as they will for sure draw more fans and huge ratings overtime. Some might even be saying Vince who? 🫢 Well, maybe not but it’s an entirely new generation just like when VKM took it over from his Dad and Grandpa before him. I wonder how that will change the future of wrestling to be on the number one globally streaming platform?! It’s “ Unbelievable!” ! There, I quoted Vince from UW’s return in WMXII.

So, how will you snap into 2025? You don’t need a Slim Jim but what else can help you to make this year truly ultimate? I still haven’t set my goals, but I’m working more on grounding mantras. You might be confused but I need them when anxiety flares up. They are just statements to keep me centered despite what’s going on in the external world. I feel different energies and need to reset sometimes. A good book helps 📗( more on that next week…) so I’m into that. Snow ❄️ does not help but everything is temporary as we move through cycles of change.

I think I covered all those mixed up topics as more seemed to get added to the list. I hope all of you are doing well wherever reading today and again, I thank you always for your continued support of my writings. Whatever your reasons in sticking around, I hope to fill your day with some pick me ups, funnies, or even the more introspection we all need from time to time. My wish is for your year to go great as there’s no need to blast off like a 🚀 since UW did that on his own very well. Maybe you walk or even tiptoe into 2025. However you go, just go and continue going down your own warrior way. Snap into whatever feels right for you and don’t forget to always, always believe. Believe in yourself naturally before anybody else. I’ll catch up with you all next week!

P.S. I almost didn’t have a P.S. this week as I was trying so hard to see what the viewership was for RAW. Obviously, they don’t measure it the same way as with regular TV. The estimation was 3.6 million views, but I’m not sure how accurate that is. Either way, it’s totally crazy to see what the future in WWE will hold! 🫨😬😜

Fascinating… yet Ruthless🤬

That title fits for sure. I absolutely had to use some words describing and yet pertaining to it after all, didn’t I? What is she talking about anyways you may ask? I bit the bullet and it hit me HARD… The Ultimate Warrior’s face down below says it all but really~~~ my face was much more contorted. I watched it. All 6 episodes of ” Mr. McMahon,Netflix’s docu series recently released. Once I watched one, I had to keep going right? One of the words I kept using when texting my brother was “fascinating.” You can apply that word either positive or negative, but I meant indifferent. The other word of “ruthless” fits as Vince McMahon became synonymous with that expression but it also connected to John Cena with while quoting his boss became ” ruthless aggression!” I had finished watching after my bro, imagine that? There’s just a few points I am going to make that DO involve Warrior believe it or not. I also think it’s a 3 count so that fits too. They have to involve Warrior because then today it would be my Mr. McMahon writings and that is not what I am doing.

Where to begin? Let’s start with the EMF song ” Unbelievable” from 1991. You know what they say in that song? You will from me soon. For fans of UW, we can all agree on this. That infamous 2005 DVD directed at him needs to be redirected at Vince or Mr. McMahon, whatever he prefers to call himself. Yep, that’s what he did. Professionally, not entirely as us fans and the performers owe much to him but business did play a huge part along with his personal life. That’s bad karma coming back with an ultimate vengeance. *** SPOILER ALERTS*** coming so read if you wish. Here are some parts that made me want to shake more than ropes if you know what I mean. I literally was saying WTF (like the song) over and over while screaming at my TV. 🫨 This was only mostly about the first few episodes. My rant wasn’t probably what you could be thinking about all the BIG stuff most fans know already. There were a few I wasn’t entirely aware of, but let me share my fits of inner rage. I’m not objective on any and will defend Warrior on these.

Vince said how he disliked the term “pro wrestling.” That was new for me to hear. He prefers “entertainment,” which is what they became with being the WWE. It is true, but isn’t that what the UW character was doing? I won’t get into previous posts of me going on about “technical” wrestling or entertaining, but how FASCINATING that Warrior gets gutted much in the wrestling media and by former talent for being exactly what Vince was changing the company into. OK, he was the boss while Warrior wasn’t naturally, but can you see where I’m going with this? He’ll get a pass if you will because he can say that but Warrior years ago could not? WTF indeed. 🤯Vince and Warrior had some similarities in their lives as I’ve said before. They both needed a character to release in a way but all of Warrior’s extreme disciplines or beliefs are tame in my opinion to how Vince led his life. BTW, I always thought Vince would’ve made a great choice for those ” 10 Most Fascinating People” specials hosted by Barbara Walters years ago. Remember those?

Let’s move on with some moments from Vince’s talent over the years. Hulk Hogan. Yeah, he was their brand and solidified WWF on the pop culture map indefinitely. I will NEVER take away anything he did for the business ever but how about his statements. Vince asked him to be totally honest on ” The Arsenio Hall Show” about steroids and he totally lied to the world. I knew that. Well, OK that came back to bite him in the A** but here’s the irony. Vince wanted Hulk to tell the truth, good for him. Only then~~~ years later, Vince also lied on the witness stand during his trials with Warrior. After perjuring himself~ luckily he recanted his statement. Yes, we all lie from time to time to protect ourselves but I just found it RUTHLESS how Vince wanted the truth from Hulk and yet couldn’t tell it on his own. I realize those topics differ much, but a lie is a lie. I was screaming folks, 😳 I seriously was and I did know this already. It just wasn’t a front and center memory anymore.

It’s Undertaker’s turn. Yes, yes, we all know his huge loyalty to Vince among many others including Cena, Bruce Pritchard, ( who is Vince’s lapdog 🙄) and The Rock but again, not my point here. I loved when he mentioned protecting his character. I’ve written on that too. He should since after all, his career spanned 30 years. Amazing. His story involved him saying how he wanted to go out in public looking frightful like his character was. He wanted people to think that ” that dude’s not right.” He stated how his idea was for others to think he really was that way. Maybe he was being comical, but it still resonates with me. All right, he didn’t legally change his name like Warrior but really? So, UT probably got commended for maybe doing that but someone else years prior did not. Warrior would get verbally attacked for God forbid, wanting to wear his face paint in public because of his character, but it could be acceptable for UT to look like that scary freak he portrayed? Yup, another WTF time for me. Don’t get me started on more of that. I do believe Warrior would’ve loved seeing UT going out in public like that however…

WHEW… It seems I’ve come to the end if you are still with me. So MUCH more could I add but they are other clips unrelated to Warrior so I will leave it at those. I *** DID *** cry lots too. Not just for all the tragedies, but Shane’s memories . Those really touched me deeply. 🥹Overall, I will say this. Regardless of Vince’s split personalities, he did create a billion dollar business that cemented sports entertainment and made us all fans. That being said, he had a horrible childhood and never faced it, maybe he never will. His business meant more to him than anything~~~ even some of those closest to him or so it seemed. 😐 I have different emotions and found it troubling how few could describe his legacy. I agree with Tony Atlas. The greatest promoter ever. He finally did make his dad proud. I hope someday Vince and Mr. McMahon both find healing in some way. ❤️‍🩹I wanted to pile-drive Vince MANY times while watching this and yet also hug that little boy inside who deserved better…

P.S. Fascinating and Ruthless best describes this series. At least to me anyway. WTF moments are over! Oh, and I couldn’t watch some clips they showed. 🫣They were either too vulgar or too violent. Long live The Golden Era for me…

Totally out of Control! ❤️💛

How are we near the end of another month once again warriors? In my area, we are beginning autumn or fall and I get a ring side seat to all the leaves starting to come down. 🍁🍂 The place in the grass where I put my yoga mat seems to be covered every day, ugh as cooler temps are coming and soon sweater weather it shall be. I’m still not decorating for Halloween yet as that entire month gets its own devotion. I give it the entire 31 days as no other holiday shares those times so you won’t hear about any of that stuff from me just yet. Next week~~~ you’ll read about my anniversaries in October, but not today.

Tonight marks the debut of ” Mr. McMahon” which is a documentary premiering on Netflix. This 6 part series explores much about Vince’s life with many interviews and moments from his years in the pro wrestling business. It sounds fascinating but I don’t want to become addicted. Will any of you fans be watching? My brother might so I can get the “dirt” from him quite possibly. 6 episodes… Why does it have to be that number ha ha?! Mastermind or madman? You decide as the trailer promotes… 🤔🫣😬

The photo I used today might make loyal readers say: ” them again?” Yes, I know I have used “The Ultimate Maniacs” many times of Randy and Warrior but this one is yet another that shared a birthday of mine. Their premiere on that episode of “Superstars” marked the debut of a short lived tag team. It was aired on my 20th birthday so I had to include it along with the guys to end this month of September. I LOVE what they both said about being friends as perhaps not everything was preplanned. I know both of them wrote promos and such but I truly believe they meant those words to each other. It’s worth the listen if you need to “reboot” your WWF memories. They were so good together with similarities that when asked, many wanted to see their partnership continue. It wasn’t meant to be but they are together now reminiscing about it all. 🥹

I will also link at the end today as I can’t believe I forgot~~~ another story connected with my 40th that bears repeating in a condensed way. I mentioned the summer of 2012 but not a few months later. ” The Birthday Plans” details how WMVI came back into my thoughts after a long absence many years ago. OF COURSE I stuck to my tradition of watching ” The Ultimate Challenge” or the last match on my birthday. I had watched it years ago but on VHS and then after moving, marriage, young kids, etc. it got DQ’d from my life~~~ at least for a long while. How in the world did a rainy afternoon turn into watching that again when I hadn’t thought of it in years? 😳I have those answers now… It’s a great story and I still have the crinkly papers in print from another rainy day to prove it. I hope anyone new enjoys it as much as I did living it and then sharing with you all.

Let’s get back to “Mr. McMahon” and yes, even “The Ultimate Maniacs” a bit here. Why is it that we don’t let’s say, learn the lesson until things get totally out of control? This can go deep, I know but it affects us all. Some might say Vince got that way after a few earlier scandals and then once the Divas got introduced into the business. He also was accused of many other unethical things but seriously, I never imagined him being “forced out” in a way. Never. I always thought he’d be around in WWE until his passing. It’s like when things get piled up and then SH*T hits the fan! Why does it happen this way? Even with Warrior. Had the steroid accusations not been an issue, ” The Ultimate Maniacs” probably would’ve continued for a bit and become tag team champs. There were so many other issues too over the years with him but really, it isn’t just for the famous.

I know for me, both jobs brought stress but we stay for a while. Why? Well, because it’s our livelihood, it’s familiar, comfortable, and all that but is it still worth it? We wait and wait until the pot almost boils over or whatever phrase you choose. We can say this about relationships too whether they are family, romantic, or just friends. We fight like warriors but for how long until it gets out of control forcing someone’s hand to cave. We actually shouldn’t let it get to that point and yet we do, time and time again.

The upside is we are always learning so we get more chances every day. We can see our past mistakes and rectify them but only if we want to. We will be on repeat until we press stop 🛑 . The good side is that maybe something was supposed to happen in order for you to truly see it for what it is. Without the negative, there can never be a positive. Some may never see the light through the dark but it is there~~~ in one form or another. There will always also be pros and cons to every story but that is why we are able to have our own opinions on whatever life presents to us.

When was a time that you had to see everything kind of breakdown before you realized there was a need to move on? Warrior did. It can even be relocating to another town as you feel you have outgrown where you currently are. My life here. 🙋🏻‍♀️ I know that’s a tame example and not really out of control but maybe you might feel that way over little things too. Just catch yourself *** BEFORE*** it can possibly turn into something worse because it isn’t healthy for anyone involved. We let things go on for so many reasons because it’s fear of the unknown. Maybe instead of fearing gloom and doom, it could actually be the best thing in the long run? Think that way warriors and I will too. From the change of seasons, careers, friendships, and even anticipatory documentaries~~~ don’t let it all get to out of control. The Ultimate Maniacs were, but outside the wrestling ring is where we tame it for our highest good… 😌👏🏻
