Celebrities are People Too! ❤️

Yes, “ celebrities are people too!” as that is a direct quote from ME. More on that soon…. So, I looked up once again and noticed how not ever in these almost 10 years had I used the word celebrity or even famous in a title, not once. Hard to believe but true. It’s mentioned in my book and of course gets shared in these writings, but not in a title. Another first on my end, how about that?

OK, so back to that quote above. Of course they are people too but not with us regular folk lifestyle. My most recent dream depicted this while I was coming to Warrior’s aid. To preface, I’ve been doing some painting in our new home with more to come. Just touchups inside but our dining room needed a new coat on the one wall. Living room is next. I’ve tried many times to match with their leftover paint in the basement but to no avail, 😑 UGH! Looks like more paint is in order as the spot bugged me big time. So, just keep this in mind as I share the latest dream. I have to say though, I had not seen anything on TV or around that pertained to another celebrity in this dream. Nope, not at all and no prior “likability” factor in that way for this actor either.

Here it is…. In the dream I was married to the actor~~~ Owen Wilson with two kids! WHAT? Where did THAT come from? Sure, I love a lot of his movies, especially “ Wedding Crashers” but come on! No idea on this but that’s what I saw. Anyways, Warrior has come to live with us for a bit. No idea on that either as to the why? Was he a friend who became down on his luck after wrestling? It’s not like he was an exchange student through school or anything, ha! His look, though? That pic below, EXACTLY. So glad I found it again on media. The photo was taken before he got his arm tattoo that someone (as I still don’t know who…) took a pic of him in the chair. It has circulated for ages but I had to find it to use today.

My “husband,” ya know~~~ Owen Wilson seemed a little jealous with Warrior there, as I’m sure he connected to me somehow. I told him it’s all good, only a few days, no one will know, etc. The kids were young and loved having him around, but their “ Dad” was simply trying his best. Warrior was outside in our front yard working on a project. He looked like that pic, I’m telling ya readers. I think Owen was probably like Steve Carell’s character in “ Date Night” when he constantly says to Mark Wahlberg’s character: “ For the love of God, put on a shirt!” Do you know that movie? Oh, that could’ve been a great title today too! I disagree though… 🤭😂 What project was he doing you could be wondering? He was painting. Remember, he was an artist. This wasn’t quite the “masterpieces” you may know of him creating. What I saw was a wooden chair. Maybe it was some piece of furniture of his, no clue. I was chatting with him outside (no worries Owen…) but then we were discovered by photographers or the media of some kind. Warrior had been out of wrestling but there they were~~~ like paparazzi in my bushes just waiting to snap his photo.

He seemed to ignore them all or simply wave. I asked how he did that but he merely said he was used to it and being out of the business meant they had no real story to tell if he didn’t give one. He just kept painting as we talked. Didn’t know where Owen and the kids were but after a bit, I couldn’t take those cameras any longer. It was an invasion of Warrior’s privacy, and not to mention a home with a family. We never answered any of their questions about who I was, why he was there, or anything. I went over to our garden hose and sprayed them all soaking wet! Yep, I did! Warrior laughed, which was great and most fans know his laugh. 🤣 I said to them the title of today’s post and meant it along with another “speech” I prepared in my head! Here he was away from fame, just hanging out with a friend, painting a chair, 🪑 and not bothering anyone (unless Owen maybe…) The cameras left but who knows what “story” they reported back. We didn’t care. Warrior thanked me, although saying it wasn’t necessary. To me, it was and funny too!

The dream pretty much ended, but I know this message loud and clear~~~ except for Owen Wilson. 🤔😜 I can’t literally soak any naysayers but I will in my own way. At least I got to see Warrior doing something he loved~~~ painting. Yes, he did mostly people but I’ll take a chair. His days of getting hit with one were over, ha! *** Back to painting my house a moment. We finally did get some paint swatches to try our darndest to match. My husband’s shades were very different than mine but get this funny visual. I look at the last one he picked and there are 7 colors. Number 6 on the list is a chocolate brown called “ warrior.Well, it won’t be that one but I of course had a little chuckle on the way home from the store. Number 6, figures right? One I did pick was called “ Notorious.” That’s a little extreme describing Warrior to me but many others might think so… 🫤 Perhaps all my painting projects caught up to me and then manifested in the dream with Warrior? It’s highly likely. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to send those photographers away all wet! Warrior sprayed some summer camp kids in a dream I had years ago, anyone remember that one? Guess it was my turn with spraying adults this time! 👏🏻

So yes, readers~~~ celebrities are people too, despite their lifestyles and choices. It’s so easy to get caught up in adulation but I’ve learned so much about this over all these decades of when I first started following anyone of fame. We can love who they are but then have to give respect for their own space as it’s a challenge for so many. You can be a fan but think of the situation in reverse. You’d want your private time too, but still want to be in the spotlight in someway, hopefully making a difference. We all do whether or not our picture is taken. Honestly, we as “fans” don’t need everything the celebs do on display, do we? For some, they might but I certainly don’t. Look, read, or listen to a little but then move on for a bit. You all might think I’m the opposite but I assure you, that is false. I honor Warrior always and then move forward with whatever else comes along that day. Thank you for being my “fans” and I promise, no one will get sprayed! Oh, I’ll let you know how the painting goes too…

P.S. So~~~ just when I thought I’d heard all the “ Firehouse” songs on my playlist, a new one came along recently. TOTALLY from Warrior, I just knew it. The title, lyrics, said it all. My, my, my… Wonder if I’ll hear it again? WOW… 😮 I made a joke with him saying that song goes both ways…. ‘😉 Nuff said on that!!!!

I H(e)ART Warrior ART

I wanted to discuss Warrior’s art today and how amazing all artists are to me. From drawing to sketching, painting and sculpting, it impresses me all the time. I was spellbound the first time witnessing Warrior make his logo as it was not the way I’d drawn it at all! What a natural talent being able to create something that impacts so many and yet is so simple. I always loved his jackets and the comic book art, not to forget his love of color. My daughter is great at art too- another Gemini trait!

As a child, I must say that art didn’t agree with me. That’s putting it mildly. I realize in school that free art is rarely considered but those “cookie cutter” projects just weren’t for me. My elementary teacher terrified me to the point of faking stomachaches sometimes so I’d stay home from school on art day. I could fool my Mom a little. Am sure the teacher was following a curriculum but your personality still makes a difference, especially to an aspiring child.

If I had to do one more block paper project, I’d scream in class! Let’s not forget all the reprimanding for lack of “perfection.” So glad those days are behind me but the memories always remain. With my children, it’s quite a different story. My eyes well with tears when seeing their art and even those of the kids enrolled in my old elementary school. My kids attend PSR there so I have seen much artwork over the years displayed on the walls. Remember my 7th grade classroom What A Rush story or even The Warrior Book Dream? Those are archived but yep, that’s the school.

I did have to take art in high school as a freshman but so wish now I had taken more. It was very different than anything I ever did before and so much more variety with media. I also did many projects over my years as a preschool teacher and yes, some were “cookie cutter.” I scoffed sometimes but we did have those free art days too. Couldn’t wait to explore all this with my own kids someday. I still have some of their little creations hanging on the attic wall (: My confidence blossomed being able to create and make with the kids while not having a teacher breathing down my neck…

That harbors the question of : “Would I have wanted Warrior as an art teacher?” Yes, he mostly did self-portraits (like all the greats, hehe) and famous men in history but would he ever have been able to teach to let’s say… kids? He was a perfectionist in his own art so that might’ve come out in kids, who knows? If he would’ve approached it the way he did fitness, I’d be in trouble! If he was my high school art teacher— um…. I’d be WAY too distracted or ask for extra help, lol!! 😉Art II was self-portraits!!

All kidding aside, whether one likes his artwork or not and just like his performances as a wrestler, he brought a talent that deserves respect. There will always be those naysayers but we need to appreciate the natural abilities all of us have. Even though art frustrated me as a child, I never quit trying. Just like math thru school. It bothered me that I never could get it “just right” when it shouldn’t be that way. Yes, if you’re making a dog it shouldn’t look like a butterfly but am sure you know what I mean!

I detail a chapter in my book Spirit and Belief called “Creativity is Endless” but I mention how art is just one aspect of being creative. Teachers should look for many other forms of expression from kids that encompasses an art curriculum. My cousin is an elementary art teacher and pursued her passion. The kids love her. I have never read anything about Warrior’s natural artistic talent as a child or even later on in life but perhaps he was self-taught. After all, he epitomized that the best.

I am humbled at all artists talent but really we can be any type of artist we want. It is your interpretation of what fits in your LIFE as part of Warrior’s quote above. I hope you can have appreciation for something in a way like art has been for me. I respect Warrior’s art, my own, my kids, and all artists for doing their own LIFE! ✏️🖍🖌✂️🎨🖊

P.S. ~~~ Can’t wait to share a video about Spirit and Belief made by my friend soon!
