Voices Never Die! šŸŽ¤

Absolutely not warriors unless we let them. I’m not exactly sure what Ultimate Warrior was specifically referencing in the pic below but he always used his voice, despite naysayers. My guess is that was during his feud was Goldust as I believe it to be 1996, ā€œ In Your House.ā€ That’s also the time he alluded to the RAW crowd with his words of ā€œ you spoke to me… all you spoke to me!ā€ He said how there was one thing that wouldn’t die in the 3.5 years of his absence~~~ and that was the voices. It was the voices of all YOU fans who supported and cheered him on through it all. My wish is that you never lose your voice for what matters most, never let it die. I certainly am not as you well know and it continues on other ways. I will not be silenced for what I believe in and what is important to me, including the truth of Warrior’s messages mixed in with my own. Don’t let those uneducated pin you down to submit!

This ā€œropesā€ into how my voice never dies when it comes to sharing my thoughts on here about life, Warrior, or hopefully inspiring you all in someway. I’ve had many opportunities over the years as it’s always such an ultimate adventure when new ideas get brought to life. Some I initiate and yet others naturally seem to flow as we need both. I’m always grateful when you too dear readers~~~ reach out to share your stories or memories with me, some personal and some about Ultimate Warrior himself. See, your voice needn’t die either and I remain humbled you think highly enough of me to trust. My heart thanks you from one warrior to another as we need it all. šŸ¤—

Most recently, I resumed taping for the ā€œ The Ultimate Truthā€ podcast under ā€œ The Masters of Wrestlingā€ YouTube channel. It was me and The Master Emir once again bringing more Warrior topics your way. The four we discussed were: ~~~ Linda Hogan on the Hulk doc and her comments on UW, ~~~ the dismissal of the Warrior Award, ~~~ where has Dana been, and some of (perhaps) the REAL reasons why WWE finally decided to induct Ultimate Warrior into their HOF. I will link all the episodes as I receive them but please fans~~~ like, subscribe, share, and hype the video into the algorithm to blast this like a rocket ship šŸš€ for all those interested! We can use the support moving forward on various deeper topics as time goes on. Emir called our time together ā€œ brilliantā€ and ā€œ perfect.ā€ Aw shucks, I do my best. I will * NEVER* dishonor Warrior while remaining truthful to what I know in my heart. I might not have a microphone like UW below but still get my messages across like he did with a voice that will never die.

Emir will have some ā€œshortsā€ available on a few of these videos so check it out when you can. I’m so excited being a cohost and hopefully soon we can bring Mike back as he worked with Warrior years ago as a young college kid wanting to get into the wrestling business. My voice as the only female (as well as often times on the 80s wrestling podcast) will continue on as my own warrior spirit preaching truth as only I can.

Will you warriors continue to make sure your voices are heard and never will die in all that you do? For some of us, we can say a resounding yes without a doubt but then again~~~ we might falter based on our lives and how we approach ideas or even taking a stand. I’m not that picket line kind of gal, but maybe some of you are. We all make a difference with however we share opinions and I hope you know it does count, whether or not one agrees… Lately I’ve learned to defend myself more without ā€œforeign objectsā€ getting in the way. If it offends someone no matter how they are connected to me, well, that’s on them and over time, I’m able to let it go. Notice how I say able to let go and over time because some life events take a while to process as I’m sure many of you are aware of too.

I will say this to you. Once using that voice in one way or another, you will get better and stronger with more confidence which we all need. Say no sometimes without a reason. Stick up for yourself the way you would a friend. Don’t accept what society deems you should do. Don’t do favors or errands for everyone just to be nice. Yes, I realize some of this is quite difficult to master but start small with little changes and as always then the bigger ones will come easier. Warrior chose himself over the business when many disagreed. He used his voice in ways several of us can’t or won’t ever do. We won’t be in his exact position but it’s up to you deciding how your voice gets used and whether it dies or not.

Warrior, even after all these years later has a voice that lives on in all HIS fans or those willing like myself to tell the truth others may not know. We are the ones he needs because his voice physically is no more. Are you willing to take those risks on some of his controversies others do not? We are all different types of fans and are entitled to be, but can you get into the deeper topics of the Ultimate Warrior character or even Warrior himself? It can be quite the ultimate challenge, but I for one am honored to have an opportunity to share my thoughts in ways deserving of him. I will always honor Warrior while respecting my own privacy with what I know on this journey. I know I have referenced using a voice before, but it needs repeating as more comes to the surface of the wrestling mat~~~ especially with all the news out there. Head on over to ā€œ The Ultimate Truthā€ podcast at ā€œ The Masters of Wrestlingā€ to get more behind the scenes with voices you won’t hear anywhere else in any other format. I am biased, but TRUE fans will know and become more educated in ways never before.

So, will your voice remain strong as long as it can or will it die without truly ever being heard? Your life, your way. You can look to Warrior but look to others too. What really makes your voice stand out and why? You don’t need a microphone or even a podcast, but be that warrior with a voice which will NEVER die.

Hollywood or Hollyweird?šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ¤”ā¤ļøšŸ©¶

Before covering today’s title, I will begin by remembering the last date within these past two weeks in April. Yesterday, marked 12 years since RAW aired their emotional tribute to The Ultimate Warrior. You will notice a pic below šŸ‘‡ as I finally got a shot of him greeting fans on RAW but also with ā€œ Hall of Famerā€ above his name. I had yet in all these years used HOF with him in that way. Glad the thought came to my mind as this month continues. Yes, I know that photo was from his final RAW appearance a week prior but wanted to stick with these memories.

We all know Warrior DID in fact go to Hollywood in 1993 but wasn’t there long. He did refer to it as ā€œ Hollyweirdā€ a few times as a career movies was not in him to keep pursuing. ā€œ Hollywood Hoganā€ can have that attached to his name but with Warrior, it wasn’t a future he envisioned. Sure, he had the look šŸ’Æ totally and did act in the movie ā€œ Firepowerā€ , but the second project with him in the starring role fell through. Warrior wanted to recreate the ā€œ Conan the Barbarianā€ movies, but did not want to be typecast based on his physicality. I decided to reference this idea a little deeper after listening to a podcast episode of ā€œ The Masters of Wrestlingā€ most recently. Speaking of that, my episode 3ļøāƒ£ of ā€œ The Ultimate Truthā€ podcast is finally out. I will link it at the end. It’s all about how his character influenced women so you guys should give it a listen absolutely!

The Master Emir was discussing how the roles of men in Hollywood have changed much over the years. He cited a few actors, (even some wrestlers) and movies they starred in. Long gone it seems are those Conan type of characters portrayed by men~~~ well being MEN who are brawn and built or even ā€œmacho.ā€ I agreed with much of what he said but then disagreed on some. I commented and he actually loved my ā€œwomen’s perspectiveā€ so glad I wrote in! Emir admonished some actors for taking on goofy or perhaps oofish types of roles that seem to demean their quality of being a man. I always like to see both sides of this as with it being Hollywood or Hollyweird. Yes, a few roles I frequently thought were extremely silly based on the guy playing a specific character. I will say this though~~~ people in Hollywood (or weird,) want to challenge themselves and be different than what is expected of them. That sounds like Warrior to me, doesn’t it? These guys have that face or body, which fits a certain ā€œtypeā€ but then they want to think outside that for a softer, funnier part just to switch it up sometimes.

Think of ā€œ The Rockā€ Dwayne Johnson. Most of his roles involve a tough guy image but then as Emir pointed out years ago, he did the ā€œTooth Fairyā€ movie which made fans go~~~ huh? Did he pull it off? Well, you can decide that. Perhaps he just wanted a lighter script. He is a father so maybe that changed once he became part of the Disney family. No, all of his roles will not be goofy but we will still know him as that muscled wrestler turned actor.

Another example is Arnold Schwarzenegger. We all know his beginnings with bodybuilding and the Conan movies as I mentioned. How about a few of his different roles for a moment. Anyone remembered ā€œ Juniorā€ where he was a pregnant man? How about ā€œ Kindergarten Copā€? No I just didn’t like it since it came out in 1990! I actually love that movie though as it was truly great to watch him with the little kids. I bet Arnold had fun making both but once again, we were used to seeing him a certain way and then he made us all look twice. Emir mentioned him too in that podcast episode but I do understand why they want to take on unexpected characters that keep fans guessing. It’s similar to a WWE superstar. Does it truly diminish their acting skills? For some I can see how it does but then again, I can see how it does not. What is your opinion on this? I have to find that photo taken of a young Jim Hellwig back in his early days of bodybuilding where he met Arnold. Maybe that’s a good idea to use soon?

I bet you can think of other men in Hollywood that perhaps took on weird roles from time to time. John Cena is another as he also has portrayed an action hero~~~ even with his own series but then again, moves into some ridiculous and often times raunchy guys on screen. John was a huge UW mark too and was acknowledged by W in his HOF speech! Emir was alluding to the fact how the action hero seems to be fading with some men normally primed to take that on and instead succumb to Hollyweird and create a puzzling choice. Again, though~~~ just like with the gimmick matches of the ol’ WWF years, we need the humor to balance out the serious.

As serious as the Ultimate Warrior character seemed to be, there were those times of humor. Very few, but they existed. His funny moments were often like mine of being not fully understood by some but a style all its own. I think many things are humorous when others may not think so. See? We need the balance but are always entitled to our opinions of what we prefer. Emir is included, but I get why he appears so biased. After all, he comes from a wrestling family and has based his business on the physique of men. He does though have Hollywood connections but does that make it weird? It all depends on how one uses it but he is doing the work he loves with passion and purpose. That’s the warrior way.

So, is it Hollywood or Holly weird for all of you warriors out there reading today? Maybe it doesn’t really matter to you as long as you get entertained in a way suited to your preferences. Men can still be macho but also show silliness when needing to. Even ā€œ The Macho Manā€ had hilarious promos! At least I thought they were. I couldn’t ever see Warrior in a comedic role with a movie but we will never truly know, will we? He definitely had a funny side though, and I’m so glad to at least have known that. Hulk Hogan can be ā€œ Hollywood,ā€ Randy Savage can be ā€œ The Macho Manā€ but Warrior? He’ll always be ultimate and was never weird to me… šŸ’™

P.S. I still remember telling my family the night of WWE’s tribute to Warrior how we had to start game night early. Mama needed to watch something important to her…

P.P.S. Here’s episode 3 of the U.T. podcast. Check it out from ā€œ The Masters of Wrestlingā€ on their YouTube channel (:

When is it too Much? šŸ¤”šŸ˜¬šŸ˜

Yes, I know what you could be thinking. First, my title’s a little long but it’s what came so be it. I was thinking of: “when is enough, enough?” but thought that to be kind of negative. It’s probably not entirely what it seems so I hope you continue reading. Next, I also know that photo down below could be used within a few weeks~~~ appropriately so but nope, I’m using it today. This topic has been brought up a little before but it’s nice to take a different “run” on it with other info.

So, when is it too much? That’s not an easy answer because we all see things differently. It can be very diverse as this relates to several areas of our lives. With Warrior, many will say his workouts and intensity were too much but for him personally, he felt it to be right. An expression I read talked of “over-efforting” and yes, this can be true. I KNOW too how you would usually read the opposite on here. Warrior’s mantra of : ” do the work” is such a part of me as it should be. You will know your work and when you need a break. At least I hope you do. Most of you remember my mantra about breathing and to slow down. Yep, that works too. When it becomes too much, how does it feel or look to you? Do you recognize the stress or do you ignore it? For me, I get lethargic or disoriented much like those negative dreams I wrote about. ļæ¼

I’ll take this another way. If any of you own the “Always Believe” DVD, Hulk Hogan had this to say about Vince’s 2 “monster entities.” on their way to do battle in WMVI. He states how they both :“didn’t have to do a whole heck of a lot.” This meant that despite them putting on quite a show back then for fans, not much was needed to make the match work. Their immense popularity at the time sold it to crowds so anything they did in the ring, even little moves would be enough to excite. That was exactly true and ALSO true of the Ultimate Warrior’s career. Enough is enough already! There, I will use that phrase after all. No more naysayers saying how U.W. didn’t do this or that in his time of wrestling despite him not making the “A-list” of being “friendly” or a “good worker” backstage. That was not his priority. Just like Hulk said, he didn’t have to do a heck of a lot to (make an impact.) By that I mean a ton of technicalities or anything similar to get that ***POP*** from the crowd which is what he wanted. I’ve said enough on that for sure…

Let’s take that photo below. Warrior didn’t want to do that much on Monday Night RAW either for what would be his final television appearance. His idea was to say a few words, thank fans, and walk out of the ring. Of course, Triple H and possibly Vince thought otherwise. Fans had waited 18 years to see U.W. again and they deserved more than a few minutes, we all did. Who would’ve guessed Warrior’s final speech would generate such reactions that it is totally remembered 10 years later and will forever be? I could’ve known as most speeches of his were quite memorable including promos and those outside of the ring. Again though, he didn’t have to do that much to know it would be enough. Sure, he worked his A** off to get to a certain level but once attaining that, he didn’t have to push so hard. He still did in many ways though. Some may think his “rhetoric” was too much at times, but that just proves to *ME* how he was always destined for so much more when pursuing other opportunities.

I’ll look at myself here with my practices. As you probably are aware, I am a spiritual seeker and read much (like Warrior did) but I also meditate, journal, (yes, he wrote too,) and work with other tools. I LOVE it all just like this blog but need my breaks as well. Even though Warrior had mentioned āœšŸ» writing for 3ļøāƒ£hours a day, I could not do that. If he did indeed, when did he have the time? šŸ•°ļøšŸ˜² We do love our stuff though, but literally cannot do one thing all day as we can get burned out. I understand discipline, really I do but we need to switch it up from time to time. It’s ā˜Æļø Yin and Yang like I’ve written before. Warrior might’ve said it’s never too much and perhaps for him that worked but for most of us, it’s too extreme. ļæ¼

Think of your interests or even challenges. Those things that fill us with joy are easy to do for lengths at a time but what about the triggers? We want to get away from them very quickly as it becomes extremely draining. I’m sure you can think of plenty but with it all, too much does become too much. We do have to be assertive sometimes with those triggers and either confront or surrender but either way, a break from the person, place, or emotion is needed. We also want “new” stories to pass on as some on repeat become too much over and over and we have had enough. The same old thing doesn’t work in the way it once did and it becomes time for the new. It’s similar to wrestlers who rebrand their character or gimmick over the years. How about STING of my P. S. last week? We might not need to do much at all making something happen as trying too hard only leads to frustration. Remember also to go with the flow. 🌊

If too much is too much, ask yourself how it makes you FEEL? If you answer positively, it can still be time for rest. The negative feelings will definitely let you know when you have “over-efforted” and need to choose something else. We have to always “do the work”, but also need to know when the work has taken over and we’ve lost part of ourselves. Just do your part and know that it is enough for the day. Love the good but let the bad go. Even too many “Warrior-isms” can cause us to submit. Know your limits and you’ll get that neutral mentality. It’s like when you’re on vacation but then are glad to be HOME… Trust your best effort and know we are all imperfectly perfect (or is that reversed?) and enough…

P.S. Sometimes even with writing this, I overdo it but nowadays~~~ I am better. It is what it is. Thank you for being my readers!

P.P.S. You U.W. collectors can have your merch as I have my crystals. When is it too much? We hate to be asked that. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤ØšŸ¤šŸ˜œļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼
