Eight is GREAT! 8️⃣ 👏🏻✍🏻🙋🏻‍♀️💙

It’s early October. If you’ve been here you know but if not, it’s anniversary time. 8️⃣ years of these warrior writings will be official on the 4th, 7️⃣ years of my book ” Spirit and Belief” getting published on the 7th, (7 on the 7th- yay!) and 10 years of my story about “The Box” told on here ages ago but also detailed in the book. That’s a 3️⃣ count and what a great win! Before “gearing up” today, I’ll address the title a little more. Yes, it rhymes and I liked it but NO~~| it doesn’t reference the 8th of April with Warrior’s passing. Maybe you fans read that as such but it isn’t what my 8 is about and for this post, it’s great! I’ll say it like “Tony the Tiger” in the Frosted Flakes cereal commercials. 😂

I have mentioned spiritual meanings of numbers before so you can look up the GOOD pertaining to 8, but I will always think of it as infinity. When kids, maybe you made your 8 with those two circles as it was easier. Turned sideways, it represents the infinity scroll as you might know. I wanted that logo under my chapter headings when they misunderstood and used a book scroll but it still works. Warrior has infinite energy and so many other good spiritual traits with 8, perhaps it was Destiny how that number came to be with his return back to parts unknown. I love how THAT meaning of THAT number shares with my warrior writings today (or in a few days, technically.) From 2016 to now, how?

Hard to believe a year has passed since I took that pic of me on my living room TV hutch posing for a “selfie” alongside Warrior in a tux from the “Always Believe” DVD. That doesn’t seem like 12 months ago. This month’s photo was quite comical when the idea came. Some of them I just dread as I can’t think of anything creative but then I did! For the first time, you get to see MANY of my posts in their original format scattered on top of my box . I couldn’t leave them inside for as Warrior told me: ” I don’t belong in a box.” More on that in a bit. I wanted to somehow display some as after a few years, I run out of room and up to the attic they go. That’s an even bigger plastic tub which contains writings and my books. I did the best I could showing just a small sample with taking the shot on my own. Any more attempts and my pile of folders would’ve fallen over! Oh will my kids have fun looking at these someday when I’m gone. I won’t wanna watch up above if they don’t, ha ha! I’m sure Dana had to decide what to do with all Warrior’s journals as well. Yep, I have several of those. Not to worry though… I do have them all organized for me. I just wanted to show some of the sheer ultimate volume to you all!

I recently just met up with a friend who wanted to buy my book, how sweet was that? We had a great convo at my house and she is enjoying it so far. She loves the writing and sent the nicest compliments my way. I’m always so touched. 💖 She and I go back several years with my days as a vendor and only after seeing her at a Reiki healing session did she remember my book! I honestly don’t bring it up much anymore, but I’m so glad she felt inclined to personally purchase from me. A beautiful lady indeed with gifts of her own. 7 years, just a few days within a year of the blog. It seems like yesterday and forever ago once again…

That takes us to ” The Box.” I’m not detailing the exact story, but it was funny how I used my actual box and put the writings on top for the photo today. It was only then how I was reminded of as yes~~~ 6 months to the day after he passed, I had the box experience with Warrior that will be 10 years as well in a few days. His other phrase was: ” Don’t put me in a box.” 📦 I will link that post but it is paraphrased from my book. Gosh, my writing was so simple back then. The book story has MORE details than the blog post. My first reaction after reading the post again was: “That’s it?” I didn’t even include my OMG reaction or even questions, but I hope you gain some spiritual Warrior perspective. Always am I still totally overwhelmed but grateful for answers now I didn’t have back then…

Wait a moment here…. *** PAUSE*** While typing that out, my left ear was ringing quite loud. Give me a sec to clear my tears… thank you Warrior… 🥹

There you have my annual 3 October anniversaries as I reflect every year. I am also close to achieving a HUGE number on these writings and if I do the math right, it’ll be coming right in time for the new year. Oh my, 2025 soon it will be. I cannot possibly thank you all in person with those who truly feel compelled to read each week or at least often enough. Honestly, it does mean so entirely much to this warrior woman bringing Warrior to you all in a different way. Always some of my life mixed in because well, it needs to be that way too. If you ever feel like reaching out to share your stories, memories, or positive inspiration from Warrior, please do. A few of you have and I am so honored by your beautiful words. Thank you for your trust as it takes guts to open up to a stranger on the Internet. I do hope you regulars look at me and these writings as more than “strange” after all this time but if you read for the entertainment purpose, I still appreciate the support. 🤍🥰

It’s been an incredible journey, traveling all over the world each week as wherever you are reading makes a difference. It’s such a lost art with us adults anymore like writing which I’ve stated, but it’s so important in many ways. We need to always be educated and learn no matter our age as Warrior himself had said. Social media nowadays occupies much of our free time but for those who look to my blog or any others instead of the latest social post, I bow to you. To those who pick up an actual book, I bow to you. To those who write down ideas, goals, or simply inspiring quotes in a journal, I bow to you too. You get special warrior recognition for those added interests we so still NEED to savor in our lives here. You don’t need to be like Warrior or even myself, but just take time to do what fills you up. If it is a forsaken skill, even better.

Thank you readers for this ultimate ride of 8 or even 7 years! I love sharing and love your interest always. Mr. Warrior~~~ you know what’s it’s in my heart so thank you isn’t enough, but it needs to be for now. ❤️ Here’s to year 9 and keep reading fellow warriors! Happy anniversaries as we begin this new month…~

From Skinny to Strong 💪🏻💙

Welcome to June warriors! Summer☀️ will officially be here in my area later this month as it’s my favorite season. I told ya I’d be using some newer pics on here once again so as you can see down below, we have a young junior bodybuilder named Jim Hellwig, aka- Warrior. Yes, I can finally relate to *** THIS*** topic just a little as that part of Jim’s career was off-limits to me. If I can’t connect, it doesn’t get written as you readers know. Now, however, I have a story. I’m quoting from my book: “Spirit and Belief” for the second week because well, this story comes right after the tattoo one of last time. I had to look it all up since I couldn’t remember but how awesome to have a story about my daughter and my son in a row~~~ not planned. That story is called: ” My Skinny Strong Warrior” from chapter 24.

To rewind just a little, several years ago my husband bought our kids a beginners workout bench to use. I thought at the time it would get ignored and at first, it did not. After a bit though, it did as he eventually gave it away. 😟 The novelty wore off but I so enjoyed seeing them put it together. Here’s part of the story I wrote back then: ” My son seems so young and yet I was reminded of Warrior who was around this same age when he began lifting weights.” My son at that time was 12 and is now 20. 😳 I continue on with this: ” I hope he develops a consistent practice so his interest peaks more and more. This young man of ours might be finding his destiny just like another skinny kid did back in the day.” Well, he is finally more so doing just that- only 8 years later…

This final semester in college he had gotten a new roommate briefly. His one friend transferred back closer to home, so the new guy hailed from Maryland! Why he is studying in Ohio, I still am not sure 🤔 but we were told he is an amateur weightlifter. He had piqued my son’s interest and gave him some pointers. Some of those ideas I had given years ago but it’s always different coming from a peer and not a parent. When our guy got home for his summer break, he started using my husband’s workout bench as I just SIGHED knowing we had given away the other one. Nowadays, you can download a Fitness app to your phone or watch YouTube videos which is what he is doing. Times have changed, haven’t they?

Lately, he’s been slacking but began running 🏃🏻, playing more basketball while working up a good sweat 🏀, and then finishing with weights 🏋🏻‍♀️. He also improved his diet but by being home eating Mom’s meals and packing a lunch more, it helps. No more of McDonald’s 🍔🍟 while working all the time, heck no! He’s even lost a few pounds so it’s turning into muscle. Is he into bodybuilding? No, but is definitely taking a more active approach to fitness which started with his new friend. He may not see him that much come fall but hopefully, my son will continue down this more physically fit lifestyle. He was never a big kid but wanted more strength in his core.

We shall see what the future holds with his endeavors, but like I said in my book ~~~ I will stand by him and who knows, he might just have some help from that “warlord” up above. Years prior when in middle school, one of my son’s vocabulary words in social studies was warlord AND he even was a warrior in a game they played at school. All of his friends were peasants or merchants but HE was a warrior. He only shared that story with me and not his dad. How about that? 🥹 Warrior went from skinny to strong and now my kid is doing the same only of course not in the exact way. He was just inspired by another young bodybuilder type of a different generation.

Have you ever had something in your life that didn’t exactly work out the way you’d hope but then years later, it finally does? If you truly think about it, we probably all have at some point. Sometimes, it just isn’t meant to be or wrong timing maybe. Months or years go by and then it gets “locked up” to make it work. It could be a job that didn’t pan out, a move which doesn’t line up, or other issues in your life. You can let it go for a bit and just let it FLOW or keep pursuing it (like most of us do) where we push too hard, fight, and it doesn’t happen.

We need to abandon things at times because honestly, it shouldn’t be that hard and if it is~~~ it’s forced. The Universe helps or however you define it but we still need to do our part. Just don’t “over effort” like I’ve said before as I truly need to remember always. My husband pushed our workout bench on the kids and got them excited to keep track of reps, lifts, etc. but then it waned. We really tried to get them into other interests besides video games or YouTube. We need as parents to back off and let them choose their own way. We can give foundations or directions but then let it be as the seed gets planted. You can go from skinny to strong on your own terms but often, we need time to develop. It worked for Warrior to go fast but for most of us, we are not that rocket ship at full blast. 🚀 Enjoy June my readers and pick up a copy of my book if you feel so inclined for summer reading! You’ll find that story, last week’s and many more at a retailer of your choice… 📗Book plug, week 2…

P.S. Remember summer reading lists for school if you are old enough? Not to worry, no book report due! I always read mine— of course… 😉📚

Believing is Feeling… 🥹✨🤍

It is 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ warriors🥳🎇! Oh wow, the New Year is here whether we were ready or not. It’s always creeping up on me and will be another busy one. So many dates but those are all coming soon and if you read often, you’ll share in them all with me. I do hope your holidays went well and that you got that R and R I mentioned. We all need it and are worthy of downtime. We are worthy~~~ always remember that warriors. I’ve written this post a few times now. I think I’ve only done that once before… Before getting into the depth of this post today, I would like to THANK all of you who’ve been reading during these past few weeks that I have been gone. The numbers have completely been off the charts!!!I do know, however that some of those numbers are related to the release of “The Iron Claw” movie about the Von Erich Family. I know this because my post “Family Business Banter” got *TONS* of views, more so than it had ever in the past. I used a pic of U.W. and Kerry… I’m overwhelmed as usual, but I thank you all for reading as I did go back and reread that post recently. I hope to see the movie but I just don’t know…..

I told you I’d talk about a book but it’s more than just me sharing my recent reading material. I haven’t mentioned books on here lately and there hasn’t been one that impacted me as much as this one has. I’m not going to recommend reading to all of you as the title and author won’t be shared, but I’m going to get a little DEEP into it. Believing is feeling or is it the opposite? It’s like the expression of “seeing is believing” or vice versa. Today’s title came to me after reading this book’s extremely profound text that had been on my list for years. Warrior had said to read real SH*T and I do! OK, I loved my summer romance novels as we all need a break from the “thinking mode” to get into the “feeling mode” but this book did both for me in a different way.

Several years ago, I had heard of this somewhat controversial book and put it on a reading list but then forgot about it until recently. I never completely put it out of my mind but it just wasn’t my title match. It wasn’t until the author was a guest on a podcast I listen to often that it came back into being for me. The topic is spiritual, but NOT religious and NOT on psychic gifts either. It’s historical and connected to my past in many ways. It concerns a relationship that has been talked about in like-minded groups for centuries now. I was brought up thinking about these folks a certain way and yet there were always questions surrounding them throughout history. A *HUGE* question looms as I too wanted an answer and thought someone, somehow would have one. Despite researchers efforts, they like us will never fully know the true nature of that connection between those celebrated individuals. There are many books on this subject out there for sure. It’s not like “The X-Files”, nope~~~ nothing at all but more about peoples roles in our taught history.

I believe another reason it became a topic of controversy was because the author incorporated many of her own personal stories into the text. People didn’t respond well to that and thought instead she should’ve stuck to more history, facts, logic, and science. Boy, that made me love her book even MORE! Yes, of course we need all the proof if we can find it but there are other ideas that will never fully get proved and that’s how life goes. We can question, research, and probe all we want as that is our journey but if we had all the answers to all the mysteries, we wouldn’t be fully human, would we? She interpreted these historical documents in the way that worked for HER and not necessarily how it might work for others. That’s how it needs to be for all of us. We might agree and then we might not. It’s all about how and why we believe the way we do. I can identify so much with the work in this book as questions will always abound. Fans of Ultimate Warrior, (including myself) will always have our questions too about his final days. Let’s feel and believe in the good…

The truth is, we NEED stories and that’s why I share mine. Sure, I would love to know the BIG answer to that debatable question “wrestled” by historians as much is common knowledge but the truth is, we may never know and need to be fine with it just like other questions.

The people written about in this revealing story lived over a millennia ago and yet even now, their connectedness and closeness remains a burning topic. ❤️‍🔥 Even if those interested would know the real truth, does it really matter? Maybe to some, but it wouldn’t change the trajectory of history all that much. It would just validate what many already thought to be true. This author went to places in history while researching her version of the story but never came up with the answers many wanted. History is a mystery, but what does your *** GUT*** tell you? Interpret all the facts received and then feel them warriors.

So, to back up a bit on all this… I had called my library and they had two copies but both were out so it became a waiting game. After a few weeks, I called again being the impatient one I am. It was getting closer to holiday time and I really didn’t want to get into such deep language with the craziness of shopping, decorating, etc. and all that starting up. 😬 Time was ticking and I felt rushed, ugh… That was very typical of me to feel I won’t have time and then I always do. Still no book and I had other agendas on my mind then. I forgot about it for a few days and then the library contacted me— it was in, a month later. Just when I had almost decided to cancel and wait until after New Year’s. I’m so glad I didn’t.

It was the perfect book for me to read despite all that was happening externally. We need the quiet and stillness too warriors and we need it alone. The LOVE and SPIRIT contained in that little red book 📕 gave me such PAUSE with tears 🥲 as I totally GOT IT unlike some other biographers of late. It explored so much of my journey in a unique profound aspect involving others I had only heard about throughout my life, but never fully knew. This author needed to capture the essence of those two main characters by relating her own experiences because it’s more personal that way. If my blog was always just rhetoric or a bio on Warrior, I wouldn’t like it or enjoy writing at all. Some of you might prefer all the logistics of wrestling, just like other readers would prefer more specifics in Ms. Author’s book. We are all entitled to be our own selves but again, it’s about the feelings that help us to remember to believe. We are not learning for the first time warriors, we are remembering. It’s complicated~~~ I know, but without personal reflections, we can never share and say “Yes, I’ve been there too and feel the same” or something similar.

She mentions about how being human isn’t a failure since many think it has to be such a struggle all the time. It’s really the Soul’s chance to be HERE. Wow. Let that absorb for a moment. Yes~~~ that sounds a bit much for most of you but if you know the story, it would make sense. We may not be understood by others because of how we feel and it can create distance. Some might be jealous (Warrior knew this,) since a few are “privileged” to know or understand in a way others can’t. Hand raised here. 🙋🏻‍♀️This relates so much to me which I cannot fully express to you, but it’s true. 🫢 We believe because we feel and feel because we believe no matter who or what it is. I needed this book during the holidays and wrote down more passages in my journal. I have the answer to MY BIG question and have for years but critics of this book will not have theirs answered. What is true in your heart without logic? Do you feel it? That’s the true human experience. Be your own warrior and go inward to discover your realness…

P.S. Heal in ways your soul needs. Start now and keep going into this new year. Books, movies, music, genuine connections, and anything else that inspires you. Do good SH*T and believe what you feel every day. I only thought it fitting to use a collage of Warrior for this one. Oh, and the word warrior is mentioned several times. Every book I read, it seems. ❤️‍🩹

The Introverted Warrior

Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert? Believe it or not, most people exhibit both qualities but let’s take a look at the one in the title.

I am NOT listing synonyms of being introverted since many I dislike but AM sharing some traits. They are:

~~ internal, introspective, enjoy solitude, have a strong sense of self, different views, don’t like small talk, need time alone to recharge energy, and like to think.

Quite the list, isn’t it?

Often times they are misunderstood and struggle to become accepted socially. WE do not have constant social anxiety or extreme shyness. So many misconceptions, so little time.

Let’s take a look at that other word in my title. Do you fans know that Warrior (aka The Ultimate Warrior) was really an introvert? Yep, he has said so in many videos and on The Ultimate Collection DVD. I am too. Here’s another connection between us both. Many of those above traits describe him as well as myself. It’s not so negative but is often viewed as such in society.

He wrote. I write and even published a book! So extremely honored to be included with these fellow authors at the library (which Warrior also loved.) Perhaps most introverts do write, that’s easy for us. Dana has also called herself an introvert and she writes as well. To get out there and sell a book or even a character like he did is very extroverted. I must say that most folks I know are SHOCKED to see my published book but then of course excited too. Is it because of the task? I don’t believe so. I believe it’s because of the nature of my personality that shocks them.

Warrior was told in high school that he “wouldn’t succeed” much in life. Wow… I think he proved them wrong! Once us introverts have a strong passion, we go for it despite the cultural label. Many people I associate with also can’t believe how s_ _ I was in school. Sorry, dislike that word! You can probably guess…

It’s all about the adult you become by following and believing in your purpose. Many of Warrior’s competitors back then didn’t understand his ways considering the character was so extroverted. Deep down he wasn’t. Still intense– yes, but an introverted thinker.

I hope if you are an extrovert reading this, you don’t misunderstand my post but if you do, that’s your right. I’m not bashing a more outgoing personality as I know many whose qualities are very admirable. Just am adding more of that myth busting I do so well! Also, to always educate so we all can let go of assumptions is the real way to be. Don’t be the first three letters of that word!! 😉

The title of this post is me just like the man since us warriors stick together. Introverts LIKE people, really. Sometimes we might not be up for that big party and would much rather stay home. Please don’t misinterpret that message as many do. It’s not that we don’t want to go anywhere so no taking things personally.

I can’t fully imagine how it was for Warrior back then but yet again, he never ever strayed from his core self and I don’t either. O.K., sometimes I do but not that often anymore. If you feel this way as an introvert, don’t let it consume you. We can’t people please and really shouldn’t. All of us judge based on the most silliest of reasons, including me.

Remember to focus on being better while still OWNing yourself everyday. Be better~~ not bitter. I never ever thought that being an introvert meant I couldn’t get a book published. It did hold me back from other things when I was younger though. My book Spirit and Belief has a chapter on removing labels and without them, we all could be kinder.

Whether or not you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert, just know that as people we all want and need acceptance. That’s it. I could go on and on about my struggles with this but the present is now. I was very surprised when I heard more about Warrior’s past but it really explains so much of him and why he never gave up.

We do need to be challenged but shouldn’t have to prove ourselves in order to be accepted. Our personalities do mold us but they don’t need to define us. I have some extroverted aspects but I use them for myself and not to spite others. Introvert, extrovert, whatever.. Just be YOU and let others be THEM.
