Warrior Odds & Ends

I decided to use a short phrase from last week to “rope” into today’s title. Yep, it’s kinda a part 2 with mixed up tag teams if you will. I love that shot of UW below smiling after WMVIII when they held a press conference. It was mostly about his return to WWF after a 6- 7 month long absence. WrestleMania season is coming soon and for all you WWE followers, my prediction is John Cena will be part of it for sure with 2025 being his retirement. We’ll see how the Royal Rumble goes first!

***A few days ago, it was the 11th anniversary of when the Ultimate Warrior was announced as part of the 2014 HOF class. My statements about time are yin and yang ☯️ but I have to say, 11 is a great spiritual number. Well, they all can be but 11 is a master in many ways as I have stated before. I will take it for this year with Warrior… 💙

Let’s stay with numbers here as this actually is a big part of the post today. Going back to December ( I know again…) brought 9 years since I began my meditation journey. I’ve told that story of getting a panic attack, texting my sister, and finding the CALM app, which I still use today. After that brought the dreams in 2016, which was~~~ you guessed it 9 years ago. 2025 also adds up to 9 for any of you numerologists reading. I’m not a pro but most know my connections to numbers. Also, my birthdate has a lot of 9’s but nope- I am an 11… See, great number this year… I will have to get out my book and reread a few of my first spirit visit dreams from Warrior, which is my tradition this time of year. After beginning meditation, a month later~ the dreams began. They’ve all been written, but those first ones are in my book, 📗” Spirit and Belief” if you’re new here.

The next number 9 gets its own paragraph because well, it just does. Some may recall the story of a visit to my psychic friend which will be 6 years this year, but that’s not the 9 reference of course. Near the end of our session when Warrior came through, he had said “ cloud 9.” She asked if that had any reference to me at all or if I say that popular phrase often. I really didn’t but do know what it means. She relayed how that phrase would help me in times of stress or to just think of him ( Warrior) as he is one of my cloud 9’s. Parts of that time were comical to me but I tell you what~~~ it worked and still does. I made a little paper cloud with a number 9️⃣ in the middle to adorn my writing box for years. Just recently, I made another as the other got worn out! My go to cloud 9’s are many with Warrior being right up there at the 🔝. I thank him for working through my friend to deliver that much needed message. 🥹

I’ll stick with this topic a little regarding my writing and journal box. I’ll stick with it as it involves stickers. Oh, this story is just too cute and made me laugh as I was putting away my writings of last week. I’m still smiling over this! 🥰 I had seen those WWF magazines in my box from “ The Wrestling Collector” store last summer (remember how I got a free one?) and decided to get them out for possible future post ideas. It was then how I noticed a sticker on the side of the November ‘90 issue with UW on the cover. My daughter still loves stickers and gives me some to decorate my journals and such with. I use enough and give her back the rest. For some reason, this one sticker with a **BEAUTIFUL** word got stuck to the side of that issue! It seems odd how it got placed like it is, but I’m leaving it on. It works in that spot. Also, it could’ve been ANY of the stickers she gave me of various words, cute animals, etc., but it is the perfect one. I’m still smiling. ☺️ 💖

Well, that brings me to another book I mentioned a little last week. I wanted a new library book as it’s time again. With it being so cold outside, I chose a closer smaller library. They have limited selections, but I did see an author’s name I recognized. It’s an easy read but next time, I’ll venture further out. I go to check it out along with some movies and after trying twice, a librarian needed to assist. She had to type in the number as the scanner wouldn’t work. A message pops up that the library no longer recognizes this title! What? It’s 5 years old, but they only stock current books. She said how it’s mine to keep! I know libraries sometimes have book sales but this was new to me. Guess it happens a few times a week, how about that? Once again though, it fits for me in my life right now with areas I need to work on. The author is this woman who is now almost 90, a Buddhist nun, and has a great sense of humor despite some serious chapters on spirituality. I got a free book and a lovely chat that day! Little wins, warriors…

My Warrior odds and ends are winding down this week as I pin them to the mat. Sometimes, we don’t need a big topic or area to discuss as the small ones matter too. Just go with the flow of your day and see what transpires. Start off with a grateful heart and let the universe guide you to find those little moments of happiness. They are there if you just let go and allow them to find you. No press conference, psychic friend, or bigger plans need to be made. Sometimes, it’s just a fun sticker or a free library book. I even get excited for those aligned numbers, how about you?

For these last few weeks, I also haven’t had my “cheat sheets” with notes. Nope, not once so far for this month. I have written that way before but 3 weeks has got to be a record. Not sure what next week will hold, but I got my photos for this month so that’s set at least! I hope your goals~~~ not resolutions are going well if you’ve made any. Dream BIG as I need too as well. Don’t let Mr. or Ms. Resistance get to you. Make sure you are the winner in that match which is your life. For my friends up north, stay warm and safe during this snowy cold winter. It’s that indoor more introspective time of kinda hibernating but do what makes you feel good. Find your own cloud 9️⃣ , make one, or even find a positive sticker that makes you SHINE, laugh, and anything ultimate!

P.S. I haven’t used the word ultimate or Warrior since September in a title. That’s probably another record…

P.P.S. I did see some more current numbers for RAW’s premiere on Netflix. 4.9 million… We shall see if that continues as WWE moves forward globally! 🌎

What a YEAR! 💙💪🏻😳

We are here warriors ~~~ the end of 2024 and what a year it has been for sure. UW down below from “ The Arsenio Hall Show” is wishing all of you Happy Holidays! No extra Christmas props this time in the photo. I still have the paper elf costume I made last year! 🤭 Did you know there are around 17 holidays from the U.S. Thanksgiving until New Year’s? That’s a bunch which are celebrated worldwide. Whichever ones you acknowledge, I hope you have wonderful memories before we pin December to the mat. 🎅🏼🎄

As you readers know, I do my own recap of blog posts, dreams, and other times that perhaps stood out during these last 12 months. I started this in 2020 which was the Covid year. I had to gather my notes and place them in order pretty much but warriors~~~ it was exhausting to my mind reliving them all. 49 posts, one shy of 50 and the next time you’ll read from me will be NY day as I take 3 weeks off…. I’ll just mention how there were 6 dreams this year. 5 I have blogged but one I did not.

The one I didn’t post involved Warrior speaking (once more) at a convention that also included my mom and spiritual cousin. I was there of course and it became quite comical. Warrior had said a statement identical to one on the “ Always Believe” DVD but it referenced *** ME*** in a way, so kinda personal. 💕 It also included my mom and a topic Warrior joked about. I won’t say exactly but it did make me laugh! Still does. I probably woke up laughing. 😂

We also had a dream about “ Slam Jam” (with those wrestlers in that pic,) Warrior signing: “ Kathy- may all your dreams come true” in my book, he and I doing paperwork together, him being interviewed while I listened and watched, AND my son watching UW at my grandparents house?! I had my magical number of 6 visit me once again as those dreams total that this year.

I’ll continue with a few posts relevant to me and the first one was written January 3. It was “ Believing is Feeling” which became a topic centered around a book I read over the winter break. What a profound experience that was in my life and one I reread quite often. It was the first one ever that I rewrote I believe 3 times…***There were so many family milestones this year as well, but a few significant ones written are having both kids in college and my husband and I meeting 25 years ago. Lots of others involving numbers and still my mom’s 80th to come on Christmas Eve.*** How about the WWE? We had the lawsuit at the beginning, The Rock joining the board, WMXL, Hulkamania turning 40, and the first time in over half a century with no McMahon running the company. Oh, and “ SNME” makes its return this Saturday night with Jesse Ventura as one of the commentators! My bro reminded me of this… I will have to look for clips when we get back from our trip…

That leads us to the 10th of Warrior’s passing on that day of the solar eclipse in April. I just *** PAUSED*** a moment. I also wrote about my love for him being the first time on paper, which surprised me but I thought it fitting to do so. My UW tattoo also turned 10 on my daughter’s 18th birthday, which was on a Wednesday! 💚

How about the memory of when I got two old WWF magazines from “ The Wrestling Collector” store in New Jersey and one was free!? That led to new pics and quite a funny story before our summer trip. So, that began using other photos that I thought I never would. Warrior’s career with The Blade Runners, Dingo, and even earlier on with bodybuilding were just a few. I’m so glad I could write those stories. A&E’s “ Most Wanted Treasures” on UW finally aired that episode in July which also became a goofy post with my girl writing her graduation thank you notes on that night. 😉

I hope you readers read some silly stuff about “ The Warrior WHAT’s?” and other close-ups. It was time for that banter after some serious posts back then. 8 years of these writings and 7 for the book were celebrated in October. “ Spirit and Belief” is still out there for any interested readers as I always believe and thank you for the support. 📗 I also worked with a new energy healer this year a few times and had a little oops at the center… 🤢 So grateful she was able to come to my home to finish that introspective session. You can read all about that experience.

Another topic I had failed to mention in my original notes was the “ Mr. McMahon” docuseries on Netflix. I disliked writing that post. I did include some nostalgia and empathy though. You can decide for yourself if it was Fascinating or Ruthless? That was the title.

Well, warriors~~~ that’s the bell 🛎️ at the end of this match. 2024 brought A LOT of interesting and busy posts for sure but we always need the mix of being simple at times too. I hope all reading enjoyed them and perhaps you have your favorites! Who knows what will come our way in 2025 but I will be here bringing you my writings in early January. I wish you all a beautiful holiday time with celebrations that bring you fond moments to look back upon. In a few days, we leave for my niece’s wedding in TN and then back home for the wisdom teeth girl all before her dad’s b-day. My goodness~~~ this has been a crazy year bouncing off all the ropes! 😬Next month, marks a HUGE number so you will have to stay tuned… 👏🏻

I hope your year was busy, but that you also got or will get some rest before this year ends. If it’s been a rough time, please know I care and just keep being the warrior that you are. Do *** YOU*** because nobody else can. I will connect with you all in 3 weeks so enjoy (or at least try) to have fun in whatever way you can during this festive time. The Vacation Magazines 💙💙

This post has a lot of details BUT before getting into all of it, I heard WWE’s “Most Wanted Treasures” on A & E will FINALLY air The Ultimate Warrior episode this Sunday, July 14. Check your local listings to be sure so we will wait and see… 😬🤞🏻

Ok warriors, are you ready? Let’s start this match! As some readers may know, I have mentioned the 80s wrestling podcast guys on here a few times so those WWF magazines you see below are from them. The owner of ” The Wrestling Collector” store in New Jersey is a cohost on the podcast so quite often they have contests on Twitter or X ( if you will.) He will show a magazine, poster, some autographed merch, or anything similar. The first one to type ” CLAIM” gets it for whatever asking price, shipping paid. I had never done this, but decided to give it a try. I know they have to make money but $25 for one magazine seems steep to me. What the heck, I tried it and WON…

The magazine cover showed Ultimate Warrior after winning the IC belt from HTM (Honky Tonk Man.) it was November 1988 and the funny part is *THAT* was the same magazine I wrote about years ago. I was at the library as a senior in high school doing research and happened to come across that WWF issue in the stacks! So, after remembering that story, I played their game. They messaged me for shipping info and asked if this was Kathy from the podcast! Yeah, it was me. Payment was either PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or some others I never use. I mentioned PayPal and they gave me the store’s email. That was it. I have used PayPal in the past but wasn’t sure about their particular procedures, if there are any. Hmmm…

I waited a few days but no response back so I emailed them asking how to proceed with payment and got nothing. Our vacation (you knew that was coming from the title right?) was the next day so I kind of forgot about it. We were pulling out of the driveway on our way and my husband asked me to get the mail. I did and guess what? Yep, something was addressed to me from NJ. I couldn’t place it and hadn’t ordered anything recently. Then, after a bit, it hit me~ the magazine! As it turned out, it (or they) didn’t come with us as my daughter forgot her phone so we had to go back. Luckily, we hadn’t gone too far but perfect for me to put my package inside although I peeked a little. It was then I saw two, not one and neither was the cover they showed for the contest! What was going on? Maybe they do too many of these things as it gets mixed up! 🤪

So, both of them were from 1990 and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I only have one other WWF magazine from 1996 as I am no collector but to have both is ultimate!! More photos to come soon. The guys never have contacted me back at all, so no payment for them! Maybe Warrior himself helped me out on this… 🥰🤷🏻‍♀️

I have a few “funnies” from our trip too. The owners informed us that there was a snake, a 7 foot harmless non-poisonous one they named “Beatrice.” Later on, I saw a friend of hers, only much smaller. I was the only one to see the second one. I got close for some pics of Miss B, but she seemed to disappear after a storm. The owners have moved her, but she kept coming back to this big tree stump. I wonder if she’ll return to new guests? She was no Damien (Jake The Snake” Roberts snake for those wondering) but still. 🐍🐍😮

One of our first nights, my son was watching “SpiderMan 2” with his dad while his sister and I played a game. He decided to watch them all lately and this movie was from 2002. That was the year his dad and I got married, Warrior’s daughter Mattie was born, AND “Macho Man” Randy Savage was in this one. I knew that years ago, but had forgotten. His wrestling character’s name was “Chainsaw McGraw.” That I had to watch in order to know. Ah- Randy, thanks for being on our trip too, but stay away from Beatrice, ha ha! If you know how he got bit by Damien. 🫣

When driving home, we passed a fireworks store. 🎆 No, we didn’t stop then but did a few weeks later in Ohio as we were in Michigan then. The store’s name was SHANGO FIREWORKS… Yes, Kathy would notice that name. Maybe they were voodoo fireworks? If any wrestling readers know who Papa Shango was and his feud with The Ultimate Warrior. I’ll stay away though. 😂🤮Just kidding as I laughed like I usually do. The last tidbit was when my daughter and I went into the rest stop gift shop to get some candy for the way home. I bought us each a candy bar totaling $11.11 🍫That’s a great spiritual number if anyone follows that but I do so different number combos pop up on receipts for me from time to time. I love it, so cool. Thank you universe. WOW… 😉

Here’s another funny as one connects to the trip, the other one when we got back. The owners of our rental were Mark and SHERRY. We had a DANA 10 years ago on our very first rental and now a SHERRY. Warrior’s been gone 10 years so I’ll let you make that connection… Warrior was involved with 2️⃣ Sherrys- one personally and one professionally. That name can be spelled different ways. How about that?

Fast forward to after the vacation when I had to take my daughter for her wisdom teeth consult. We were sent to room 6️⃣ (welcome back number of mine) and later, the finance lady handling the money at the end was named Sherry. Oh my goodness, another laugh to myself warriors.

P.S. I’ll let you know if any more info comes my way about the magazine (s) as I probably can just go in and make the payment myself but I wasn’t sure? Oh, we left for our trip on 6-15. Our first full day there was 6-16, Father’s Day and Warrior’s birthday. Not planned on purpose, ever. Oh my.
