That’s a Wrap! 🎁💪🏻

It’s the end of 2025 warriors with my last post of the year and what an ultimate one it will be. Today, though is my husband‘s birthday so we will celebrate him later. 🥳 Also, this month is all of Warrior’s girls with December being their birth month along with my mom on Christmas Eve. Whew~~~ that’s a lot. Yep, Warrior and I both married a Sagittarius! You’ll see him ⬇️ for my last photo this year as Dingo. I couldn’t edit to make it “Christmasy” so that’s what you get as I wrap up all my writings to end until January. There have been 50 posts this year! What a nice round number. It all started with number 400 early on and all the way to now. Thank you to all who read, follow, like, or even subscribe to my writings. I wish everyone a fun and relaxing last few weeks and new year of 2026.

I’ll begin by asking what any of you thought of John Cena’s final match on SNNE last Saturday. I do not have Peacock so had to watch clips on YouTube. Gunther is a brute and I expected a little more offense from Cena. I kinda expected the outcome but I think it could’ve gone a little better for fans. Great to see all the talent and legends there to support him as well. He’s an amazing guy and wrestler so only fitting that he would get such a tremendous sendoff. He will be missed in the ring but I’m sure has lots of projects in the works. John has been so very dedicated to WWE and I loved this quote of him from an interview. “ My skills can’t match the product.” So very humbling to say that. Warrior alluded to similar words too in his HOF speech to the roster of talent.

Let’s get into my tradition now of listing the MOST memorable posts for the year. I picked 6 because well, that number makes sense! Seriously though, I did not know at all until making my notes. There are 3 honorable mentions because we need a 3 count, right? A few I stayed away from as I was too angry then and didn’t want to end the year like that. I also did not choose “ I will Always…” concerning the 11 years of Warrior’s passing. It was not overly sad but I just wanted to concentrate on others. I had to write about the 35th anniversary of WMVI as 2 more Warrior WM’s will have their milestones in 2026. Hulk Hogan‘s passing (with my tribute) and my yard with 52 Bluejay feathers was in the same post as that truly filled me with joy and then comfort… 🥹

So many good ones, where to start? Honestly readers, I did look at my entire list this year as many always stand out as some do not. LOTS of great ones as I can be a little biased, but I should be! I do hope any, some, or all affected you in a way be fitting to my style of writing, experiences, and of course Warrior himself. Maybe you even can remember your favorites. Ready for my list? Here it is:

TOP 6

~~~My Happy Harmotions
~~~The Kindness of Kamala

~~~Blast From the Past ( Dream…)
~~~Hand me the Sledgehammer!

~~~ “Hello, my Name is…”
~~~ Before You RUN!

Honorable Mentions:

~~~ The Sci-Fi Cyborg
~~~ The Galaxy of Self

~~~ My February Loves ( this is about SONGS, not just Valentine’s Day…)
No to need to explain but with those titles, feel free to look up on your own if you missed any. Also, if you have extra time during my two weeks off, catch up on old posts to relive memories I wrote about this year. I still could’ve picked a few more to add to that list but I think those topped it and became winners as this year long match comes to a close. Oh, and the BIG winner that remained at the top of the stats was “ Family Business Banter.A great read too from several years back. “ The Mysterious Batteries” and “ Disciplines of Destrucity” also remained much viewed. I actually had a little dream a few weeks ago of explaining “ Destrucity” to my daughter as I was showing her Warrior’s 8 disciplines from the first comic book! He was not part of it but his beliefs were. I’ll take that tag from him anytime.
Another newbie to add this year, even though it wasn’t a post technically is the new spiritual app I began using back in August. It’s still frequents my time for a few moments, a few times a week. I love playing around with ideas and keeping track of my notes although more has to be deleted from my phone storage! It has provided me with more clarity which is one of the C words I have been working on. We’ll see what 2026 holds but I’m always inspired by the content. Hard to believe that this week marks 4 months but I did take some time off just to regroup a little and organize my thoughts.
I actually want to end with this today. Last week on “ 80’s wrestling the podcast” it was all about Wrestling Biographies so I did call in once again around the 20 minute mark. I was referencing my brother’s books ( and of course the one I own on Warrior) , but then randomly brought up my own which guess I never did before!!! The hosts were very interested and then of course I had to do a shout out to this blog as well. I really did think I had brought it up, but they said NO!!! Tommy Fierro also turned into Santa 🎅🏼 by sending a Christmas gift package to all the callers! More on that in a later post but I was very overwhelmed and touched. I can’t wait to hear their thoughts on my book 📗 as I can answer any questions they send my way. Always will I do my best in making my experiences relatable to all.
Well, that’s a wrap warriors for 2025. I can’t forget another post that is worth the read called “ Stomp out the Dust.It concerns the word NOUS… Sounds intriguing, right? I do wish you all a wonderful season however you celebrate, and with whomever you celebrate. Take some time for YOU as well since we deserve to care for ourselves too. I wish you all happiness, good health, peace, and relaxation. Whatever you do, bring Warrior intensity to it all. I will too. Until January in a few weeks, this is Kathy saying~~~ that’s a wrap!
P.S. Check out my book if interested! “ Spirit and Belief” is on Amazon or wherever you find books. Had to plug 🔌 it right??? I’m always ultimately grateful. ☃️🎅🏼❄️🎄🦌🫶🏻🧑‍🎄
What’s the Word? 🤭
***A quick mention first. Natayla Neidhart appeared at “The Wrestling Collector” store last night on the 18th, not on the weekend. Sorry, my bad! It was part of my PS last time.
There’s so many words to discuss today but 2️⃣ I need to say are THANK YOU! My numbers on the blog lately have been amazing! I never know how people just find it, look me up, or whatever but much gratitude to you ALL for finding these writings. I hope you continue reading if truly interested or it impacts you in someway. I’m grateful for you all and not just in this month of November. Keep reading loyal warriors. I haven’t seen numbers like that in a while, I am humbled always… 🥹
Another mention I forgot was Veterans Day last week which I’ve done a post on in the past. Warrior respected our vets and did much for them over the years. Just a random pic of him earlier in his WWF time today but I wanted to acknowledge. I have many veterans in my family as I thank them for their service to our great country. It was 11/11 so that is a great spiritual number. I am a master 11 in numerology if anyone follows that. Also, 11 years this year since Warrior’s passing so we have that connection. You don’t have to follow that spiritual path I am on as all numbers are great. Happy belated Veterans Day to any readers today as I thank you all for your service as well… 🇺🇸
So, let’s move onto other words, shall we? I did say I would share what happened with the “ Wrestling Families” podcast episode. The guys always teach me new things so they listed a few I had not thought. What was fun though was a little game we played. “ Family Feud” was my favorite game show for years and like wrestling, it still is around today! I chose the McMahon’s (although they were promoters first) but also for those 4️⃣ generations they embodied. According to a Google poll, they were listed as number 3️⃣ out of 10. Most of mine were on that list with a few others in the mix. Next week is that elusive G.O.A.T. topic. Well, actually tomorrow it will be. That is going to be a loooong episode for sure. I will say UW personally but I have a huge list on that so who knows what each caller will pick. 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️
Here’s some more words to share. Recently, a guy on X (or Twitter) commented on one of my posts in a nice way and of course I responded. He admired my “obsession” with Warrior but stated how he could tell there’s true affection. Yes, sir there is, but I did dismiss that word of obsession. I totally * CAN* relate how others feel that way with my writings though. I actually wrote a post on this comparing obsession with passion and the difference. Believe me readers~~~ I KNOW those who have obsessions but in the wrestling forum~~~ many share. Yes, merchandise is a business but then there are others who take it a little too far by my standards. They might not see anything wrong~ however, I can relate photos, videos, or stories shared through groups that are “ kooky.” I will not though. 🙄 That was one of Warriors’s words. I did thank him for reaching out and acknowledged his words. I have defended my actions on this topic but no need to anymore as I know much and it makes sense. Believe as you wish…
This last one concerns a song I have mentioned before. It’s “ Word-Up” by Cameo. Remember my story about changing those 6 letters into 7 to spell Warrior? I was a teenager then! They do spell in the song. Well, my life truly factors in. Just last week, I decided to reread a few older posts that were fun for me. “ Word-Up” was about being at a restaurant and hearing it along with a few other goodies. In high school, the seniors did a skit to that song and I totally remembered. During my workout that day of last week, I asked Alexa to play it so I could dance. I laughed as I’m sure Warrior was too. 😂
Later that evening, my husband and I decided to get sundaes at this ice cream shop I went to often as a kid. We still go there sometimes but it was the anniversary of when we first met. It just happened to be last Wednesday on blog day! We were waiting for our ice cream and they had music playing softly over the speakers. I could BARELY hear it, but then I did! Guess what? Yep, it was “ Word-Up!” Unbelievable… They don’t play that type of music in there. I just said “no way!” to myself over and over while hiding my giddiness from my husband on our special day. 😳 What would be those odds? I tell ya warriors~~~ I can’t make this stuff up. I couldn’t wait to laugh more when alone and just think how my dancing earlier started all that. You better believe I wrote that note down to add with today’s words… 🤣🤣
There ya have it readers. My words for today and boy, were they ultimate! Oh, one more thing. Before going to the ice cream shop, my right ear started ringing. Could that have been a sign??? I do get those kinds of messages, so not entirely sure. I always believe of course. I respond and just say “ thank you for visiting me, whoever you are.” Often I think about what was just happening but this was a future event. Always is it a positive when that occurs so perhaps the universe or Warrior was giving me an “inside scoop?” Pun intended. ~~~ I will connect next week but it might be a few days before the Thanksgiving holiday here~~~ we’ll see. Thank you for reading as I hope to brighten your day. Make words your passion as they truly are mine on here. Before I end, go get some ice cream with hot fudge! You can work it off tomorrow. 🍧🍨😋
Back to the Mat 🤼💪🏻
Hey there, warriors! I am back with some wrestling news for this one. Not always my favorite topic so much anymore, but I share to stay in the loop or even just to have my own point of view. We all need that, right? First off, that pic today is from one of the many ol’ WWF commercials that aired back in the day. This one was from 1990 when UW was champ. I had never used one so yet another that came to mind. Yeah, I know it’s a little blurry but super hard to capture an action shot.
So, the first HOF inductee of the WWE this year is Stephanie McMahon. I think it was kinda early to announce someone already but that news broke a month or so ago. Guess I forgot to post about it so here it comes today. I do believe she deserves it but here’s my POV. With her husband Triple H just receiving that honor last year, it seems a little too close together. Maybe that was their plan. Maybe they wanted to induct her last year but because of the scandal with Vince, they switched to him~~~ who knows? Vince should be there for his daughter so we shall see what happens. Who will induct her? I believe it should be a female opponent of hers years ago, just my thought. It shouldn’t be Triple H, she didn’t induct him. Undertaker is an idea, but he inducted his wife last year even though he does seem to be everywhere… 😯 Time will tell on it all, but she should be in. The only McMahon that might possibly ever be…
Now, we’ll move onto John Cena as I’ve been following the end of his career just a bit like I had said. So, there’s going to be a tournament to see who his final opponent will be. Wow. Has that ever happened before? He has been with the business over 20 years but not consecutively as is the case with many popular performers nowadays. He’s had a reality show and is a big movie star along with his own show “Peacemaker” on HBO. I’m so glad he will not end as a heel, at least I hope not. They might bring back a few of his past opponents from years ago which would make it interesting. It all happens mid December. Let’s just hope he doesn’t pull a Tom Brady and come back out of retirement a year or so later! 🙄 My guess is a no what with all the other WWE programming available nowadays. John can have his own podcast, cohost another show, or whatever. He did write a book and cohosts the obstacle reality show “Wipeout” so the future is bright for him. He’s still so young.
It’s my turn now, yay! I will G.L.O.W. for a minute here. Last weeks “ 80’s wrestling the podcast” was all about that big Vegas showgirl venue of highlighting those Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Any readers remember it airing from ‘86 to ‘90? Of course I had to call in as it was pretty exciting to talk about more women for a change. The guy caller before me even was interested in what I had to say~~~ from my perspective so I had to bring my A game for sure.
I spoke for almost 10 minutes and wanted to remember much from memory instead of googling. I eventually did look up a few performers and watched one match with my favorite- Americana. 🇺🇸 I had others, but she was my girl., Ah, the memories and it was a great episode listening to all the other callers. They asked me to pick a topic for next week! What pressure. I DID before the show ended so they’ll expect a call from me again. it will be all about “ Wrestling Families.” You can say dynasties too, but not the Heenan family! My idea is several members who wrestled related by blood. OK, we do have a few parent child combos but I’m looking for at least three in a family. Here are a few I thought of : The McMahon’s, – (of course) The Hart’s, The Poffo’s , The Roberts’s, the Rhodes’s, The Funks’s, The Von Erich’s, and the Anoai family. Some are still quite active in the business, but some have hung up the boots or passed on. So many criteria to choose a favorite so I’ll be waiting to see how the guys do with that topic.
Well, I guess that makes yet another 3️⃣ count for you all today. Stephanie McMahon, John Cena, and G.L.O.W. What a combo. I hope you readers enjoyed and we’ll see what next week brings. I will let you know what the group explored on the podcast all about wrestling families so stay tuned for that! Oh, and a few guys added these comments regarding G.L.O.W. It did have similarities with “ Hee-Haw” in some country type of segments so Minnie Pearl would’ve been great guest starring in some role. What a hoot to have seen that! Also, someone suggested Sherri Martel being on G.L.O.W. I think she also could’ve pulled that off whether she was “sensational” or “scary.” I totally agreed with both.
If anyone is ever interested or are fans of wrestling, please check them out if you can. It isn’t all 80s all the time either as they have covered way back and even to today’s world of the current WWE talent. I listen with the free Podbean app live most of the time since I’m home. It airs 10 AM, Thursdays, ET or you can find replays. They have a great group and I’m usually the only girl caller. The hosts are very friendly and Tommy Fierro is pretty famous himself. He owns ISPW in New Jersey and has been in the business since he was 17! His store is called “The Wrestling Collector” in New Jersey. If in the area, check it out as I have mentioned it before. He has tons of merch and *LOTS* of things wrestling related. It’s so super cool! They do have a website also… Tommy does 80s and 90s wrestle cons every year with huge turnouts and he also has another local podcast. The other cohost is Jumpin’ Jay and he is a fun guy too who primarily runs the show. Such a great time always.
I will connect with you all next week so enjoy whatever your day brings. Plus, they might do an action figure merchandise episode soon similar to that commercial below. I’ll have to share the story of how my UW figure came to be. I only have one ya know, and that story has been shared and is in my book! 📗 I’ll meet you here back on the mat for my Wednesday writings… 🙋🏻‍♀️🫵🏻
P.S. I just thought of this to add. Tommy and Jay are always so complementary of me every time I call. It’s so heartwarming 🥹 to hear. They want me to call in more often and they say how I know more than I let on. It is true, but if I talked, I would talk forever! 😂😂😂
*** Nattie Neidhart will be signing her new book at Tommy’s store this weekend!
PinFall for the Win!🎹
Before all this today to end September, (hard to imagine) are a couple extras from last week. First, I neglected to mention those few other dates of my birthday. The 1986 interview with Dingo Warrior in WCCW when I turned 14 AND the 1992 interview with “ The Ultimate Maniacs” when I turned 20. It was their TV debut. That team consisted of UW and MM ( Macho Man,) naturally. Second, I thought of a few more food items I love! Besides shrimp, I do enjoy those other crustaceans like crab 🦀 and lobster, 🦞 ~ always yummy to me! No ocean visit of course here in Ohio, but I am enjoying a good book 📕 and had a lovely dinner out. Lobster pizza for the win!!! Oh, and cheesecake too. 😋
Speaking of wins, let’s get into that title, shall we? I did notice how never had I used the word fall or autumn in a post. The other seasons have had a mention, but not this one us folks here in the northeast are having. So, I created a title with a wrestling reference although it kind of connects today. It’s probably not in the way you could be thinking, though. The photo below is just that~~~ a photo to use with no connection. Soooo, with all that out of the way, here’s the story.
Anyone remember years back when I talked all about pianos? I’ll link that one at the end to refer back upon. It resurfaces a little today as my daughter gave me a goodie that left me laughing, still am. 🤣How does she do it? I don’t know, but it’s always great on my end to have some mystery she will never truly know. 🤭
It started with my girl trying once again as she does with her keyboard on occasion. She gets out her phone and plays around with notes, it’s super cool. I couldn’t take it any longer, so I peaked in and said how I bet Mama can still play her songs. Oh boy… it’s back again and so I ventured into her room. It began with chopsticks that of course most all know but I have my other songs. Fans might see where this is going as I DID learn another song while taking my early childhood music class years ago. It’s a cute lil’ ditty called “Peek-A-Boo” so working together, we got the notes. Then I HAD to bring up my better song that I’m sure she totally forgot about. It’s just three 3️⃣ notes that I play even though it does go on and on. That “ Unstable”theme came running back and yes, I do still know it. I hadn’t played it in such a long while. For those new, that was Ultimate Warrior’s theme. It will never disappear from my memory…
Here’s the funny part with her that got me laughing, and I will continue to do so. I played it~~~ at least that part I know and then she says this: “ Everyone knows that!” I started laughing and said back to her: “ No, they don’t!” This banter went on for a bit and I couldn’t stop my giggles from continuing. It was so nice to have a belly laugh as those are quite rare for me nowadays. She kept sticking to her words as it’s a popular melody and maybe on the keyboard it is? but I know better. If SHE only knew like the song states… 😜I’d play it a few times and she’d say the same thing, it was getting hysterical to me.
I seriously could not stop laughing after our keyboard discussion so guess I needed that. Maybe I’ll play it again soon as a pick me up which I would love. Speaking of those, the wrestling podcast guys were so sweet in wishing me a happy birthday. Seems I share that day with another guy in the group as we became tag team partners! The best comment was when someone told me “ to have the most ultimate birthday!” That made me well up a little. 🥹Another said how I am “ one of their favorites.” Wow, I was honored. I am the only woman pretty much but still very special receiving that compliment. 🙂‍↕️ I wasn’t connecting until later on with that episode but super nice to feel missed. I’m glad they have accepted me as part of their wrestling “family” of sorts. I don’t always go live and call in, but every guy has nice things to say. We truly do need to hear good words from others once in a while, it does make a difference. BTW~~~ it’s called “ 80’s wrestling the podcast.” Not always 80’s though… Feel free to check them out.
So, how are YOU all doing out there? Leaves 🍂 are falling here and it’s still pretty warm out. I dislike the cold as many know and all the yardwork. We will only have a few trees in our new space next year and not all the massive ones here. So much I will miss but not all that physical manual labor I don’t want anymore. It will be 25 years for me next spring so what a great milestone. I will begin again with all the emotions. More on that when the time comes… Hard to believe my next post is October already! That brings my anniversaries with a venting post so gear up for it all warriors. I didn’t want to tag all that kind of stuff in, but it goes together so writing it out I need to do.
I’m going to close this one earlier today because of the short story with my girl’s keyboard. I do wish you all a beautiful day wherever reading today and hope you continue to enjoy these writings with all my various topics every week. I thank you all if loyal OR if new, everyone of you matters to me. Don’t ever forget that warriors. Feel free to send me feedback, your stories about UW, or anything POSITIVE you’d like to share. I will honor your time in reaching out if you do. You can find me in an Ultimate Warrior Facebook group, Twitter ( or X) Instagram with a few UW groups, and my YouTube channel. I’m not that active on the channel anymore but browse videos as there are many on Warrior.
Sorry to all those Snapchat, TikTok, or even now Threads ( yes I am aware of them…) users. Not for me as I am not a social media queen with all those apps. 🤦🏻‍♀️Too many to keep up with which leads to people pleasing on my end.. It’s just too much personally, and I don’t need every detail of my life examined and posted daily, ha ha! I know some people who post a pic just to post and that’s fine for them, but I don’t crave that type of attention. I post occasionally and that’s enough for me… I see many pet photos and I gotta say- mine are not that photogenic at all! They look terrified in most pics, haha… To each their own. If * MY* people wanna know more of what I am really up to, they can text me to find out… My daughter sends me around 10+ IG videos a day and I do look at them because they’re funny but it’s not something I’m totally into. Society has changed so much, hasn’t it? No judgment from me (as I hope you return that sentiment…) as many in my life will do just that and judge… Be you however it is and I will be me…
P.S. http://www.mywarriorwritings.com/the-ultimate-unstable-pianos/
*** 4/24/19~ read if you wish! It totally connects with today’s post…
P.P.S. “If You Only Knew” was a group song sung by the wrestlers and Elizabeth as part of the WWF ‘87 Slammy Awards. This is for anyone wondering of my song reference earlier… It’s on YouTube if you have never seen it, too funny to me always!!! 😂😂😂
A Different Feeling 🤍
Before this different feeling post of today~~~ always a few other things, right? First, glance down when you can. Yep, a selfie but here’s why. It actually is a pic I am using on some socials right now but the real reason is this. I just didn’t like any lately of Ultimate Warrior on media or looking at my collection., That hasn’t happened in such a while so what the heck, you get me today. So there. Second point as a lead in and I have to share a little funny. When watching SmackDown a few weeks ago, (like I said with Hulk’s tribute,) and after that segment was over~~~ I really wasn’t going to keep watching. They did, however insert other clips throughout the show. Here’s where it gets funny.
I told my husband how we can change the channel with no DVRing wrestling as that part was all I wanted to see. He said NO!!! Huh, who is this person? He didn’t feel like switching around and decided to keep it on. I said he totally can watch something else because seriously, I totally didn’t care. So, guess what? I kept watching too just to see or hear any reactions as my son came in. He just mentioned it being fake but his responses really weren’t the ones that surprised me. It was my husband and daughter whose interest became held~~~ more so than mine. I say, it was comical in a way but hey~~~ I got to share in a 2️⃣ hour episode about wrestling with them. What universe is this? 😜 The excitement that intrigued them were the upcoming “SummerSlam” matches. My husband was amazed by Jelly Roll, while my girl is a huge Logan Paul fan on YouTube already so she came in during that time. Of course I had relayed celebrities being part of WWE for years now so it isn’t a new thing. It was just an unforeseen moment in time to watch and see them kind of cheering for someone in their own “wrestling way.” 😲
OK, then~~~ onto those feelings which have crept up within me and stayed. It just is different somehow as I knew it would be. Time does go on and yet, bit by bit the past fades. Always legendary as remembered and yet still hurting. Do you understand wrestling fans? Yep, Hulk’s passing it is and with it brings newer perspectives for sure. I’m not making this another sad tribute but bittersweet while contemplating. I just have so much greater respect for them all now it seems more than ever. ❤️‍🩹 Yes, we move forward to the here and now and have to but there’s still that lingering sense of loss and sadness.
As adults, we are still kids at heart, true? We are allowed to hold onto those people, things, and events that once defined us and yet not too tightly as I blogged a few years back. It’s super tough redefining ourselves and going in another direction. Memories will always remain and we choose to make new ones~~~ however that works for us. It just takes time to adjust to a new “normal” without what once was. I just believe in my gut that somehow, someway we think it will be the same or that some are indeed “ immortal” despite their actions. We know this is not true and yet with being human, it just comes. To quote Ultimate Warrior: “ physically, none of us can live forever!” *** The feel is different. Maybe you are this way too or with other situations that have happened in your life. Can you tell?
I remember when watching old matches and thinking how EVERYONE of them involved is gone now. How can that be? Wasn’t it just 1989 (or fill in a year, I thought of “SummerSlam” as that’s the theme now.) UW versus Rick Rude~~~ more on him in a bit… Wasn’t I just 17? We can’t wallow and yet need our own time to process~~~ TIME… Another reason I love the genuine folks keeping moments alive with pro wrestling and especially the old WWF days. Check out “ The Wrestling Collector” store in New Jersey owned by Tommy Fierro who also owns ISPW. He has TONS of merch and even old VHS tapes. That takes me back… 🙂‍↕️ Legends make appearances too. He cohosts the 80s wrestling podcast where I am a frequent caller! Some even make it such a huge passion but as long as you don’t live there. One day with my kids, this will all be a forgotten piece of my life but right now I am fully present as I have to be. I so enjoy being part of the weekly podcast and tomorrow’s is all about “Ravishing Rick Rude.Maybe I’ll call in again. I mentioned him earlier…🤔
A different feeling absolutely and perhaps the next time I watch WMVI ~~~ “ The Ultimate Challenge” I will applaud it all as it was too soon a few weeks ago… Will I be watching any other WWE related content soon? Who knows but I’m following John Cena’s storyline and catch some YouTube videos when I want. It’s so crazy today what with social sites, videos everywhere, etc. that it’s tough to NOT know what’s going on. But all is a choice and for a little bit, I still care~~~ a little…
Warrior might say I’m such a “mark,” but I am selective, ha! The old days are behind us as memories are irreplaceable. Yes, I did look up results for “ SummerSlam” but didn’t share with my husband or daughter. You know what though? He actually KNEW results as it came with “ news”on his phone. How about that? A different feeling yet again… I’ll tag you all in next week, hopefully with a UW photo too!
P.S. Here’s a quote I recently read from a YouTube video: Legends don’t die. They echo.” WOW… 😮 A different feeling once again… 🥹
AND~~~ I have recently added Hulk’s name to my list during meditation. I tell Warrior to say hi to many from me… I jokingly add to just not have him win “ The Ultimate Challenge!” 😉
The Sci-Fi Cyborg 💪🏻🤖
He’s back! Welcome to August dear readers. How is this school month already for most? Crazy… The “he” I am referring to is about that title above. Yep, the sci-fi cyborg but before that, here’s a little something I noticed. Like I said~~~ I do not watch WWE but here lately I did watch SmackDown and a little of RAW. I had to see the Hulk Hogan tributes as I sure hope they have a separate special on him. With everything he did for the business, he does deserve more than the traditional 10 Bell 🛎️ tribute and a few clips shown. I know they also did a tribute for him this past “SummerSlam” as well. Perhaps that will be it? 🤷🏻‍♀️ The beginning of the shows when they announce their: “ Then, Now, Forever, Together” slogan, many wrestlers are pictured. Ultimate Warrior is part of “ forever.” Many may know this. I love that but yes, they all are forever to me~~~ every generation.
Do any recall “ The Wandering Tent Dream” a few years back? I saw a movie playing that featured Warrior in the starring role as a cyborg. It was science fiction and I totally KNEW in that dream how that was the second movie he made. He was only in “ Firepower” but at the time, a second was in preproduction. There’s a reason I bring this as a topic today. Another dream I had only this time, it was just a photo shown to me~~~ that’s it. The photo? Well, it was one in my “ Wrestle America” magazine from 1993 with Warrior on the cover. The black-and-white pic is him sitting behind a camera on the set of the movie. I have used it on here years ago and he looked so happy. He truly was… That’s all I wanted for him and actually said that to the magazine in the store back then. It was kinda intense but totally makes sense now. 😌
After seeing that photo in my dream (or mind’s eye???) , it got me thinking. Why was I “randomly” shown that? I couldn’t answer for a bit but then as usual, it came to me. I had to go back and reread that article by Dave Rosenbaum to check on a few things. Here’s a quote: “ Don Boyle, who conceived ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’ for TV, wrote a science- fiction movie script with the Warrior in the starring role.” How about THAT readers? I have read this multiple times over these decades but NEVER put it together with the “dream movie” of a few years ago. Warrior left ICM before that project could happen. I would not have remembered the sci- fi connection between that magazine article and my cyborg dream. Ok, maybe he would not have been that way or perhaps the plot couldn’t be exactly the same BUT still a total connection. The photo of Warrior on the “Firepower” set inspired me to think, reread the article, and remember my dream. How truly ultimate…
Here’s another interesting connector. Because of the nature of Warrior’s spirituality, I often wondered later on if he ever explored some of the other aspects that are not religious. I know he was philosophical but how did he navigate through all this higher learning? He was self educated but like previously stated, it came from somewhere, right? Years ago, when this began for me~~~ I pondered if he meditated or looked into other ways of tapping into one’s Higher Self. It is similar to praying. I do both. Meditating = listening, whereas praying = talking. He had to I’m sure. I actually asked that question to some in different forums once. Their answer was all about his fitness. “ He meditated thru his workouts.OK, that’s a fair statement to say BUT here is where that same article works. Granted, this was from 1993 and not many years after when his life became busier with a family. I hope he still had time to meditate maybe but just in a new way and not just through his intense workouts. Here’s another from the magazine: “ … and isn’t ashamed to admit the beautiful Arizona scenery sometimes causes him to meditate.” That of course was when he was living in AZ alone but it’s there in black and white. Times changed obviously but I am glad to have known that about Warrior. Thanks to the Ultimate one for leading me back towards that “ Wrestle America” piece on Warrior’s life after his longest reign in the WWF.
So, the sci-fi cyborg almost started working on a second movie that is explained a little in that article which I had sort of forgotten. He also meditated back then as many in his later years he considered friends might not have known. Perhaps he discussed little with them on these subjects but I have evidence and a dream to prove otherwise. Some might have that article too. No bragging, just honesty like always. One last thing to end with as it concerns writing so I have to share. A woman I follow on YouTube is an energy practitioner who specializes in healing your nervous system and stress responses. We all need this! Her work is amazing and it’s truly helped me. The reason I reference here is a few other quotes from her work and I echo these sentiments. I hope all of you do too. She states: “ I stand by everything I create. It’s always the best I have to offer at any given moment. Because sometimes the most powerful thing isn’t finding the right answer, it’s returning to the work… and seeing it with new eyes.” ~~~ Sukie Baxter
We won’t have all the answers but do our best in our own way…
Isn’t that powerful? 😮I think it totally fits today because I was seeing the magazine through new eyes 👀 and always standing by what I create. Hopefully you can see Warrior through new eyes too. 🥹It’s the best I can give with these writings. Feel the same about what you give out to this world. It doesn’t have to be writing, dreaming (like me) or even reading. Just do with your whole heart because it’s what we are. My favorite sci-fi cyborg did too, meditating along the way.
*** P.S. Go and listen to “ 80’s wrestling the podcast” with their latest episode, a tribute to Hulk Hogan. I call in around the 42 min. mark. I hope you enjoy… I was very emotional and almost didn’t call in. Am glad I did… ❤️💛
The Three Titans 💪🏻
1️⃣, 2️⃣, 3️⃣!
Hello warriors! We all are anyways whether you followed the Ultimate one’s career or not. I looked up some info and never had I used the word Titan at all on here. The number three has been repeated multiple times but never titan so how about that? I used it today because of 3 guys I am mentioning and one ~ well~~~you know him but the other 2? Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan. I’m sure you know them too. I will start with Ultimate Warrior because of the most recent “80’s wrestling the podcast” episode. It was all about UW’s ‘90 Heavyweight title run.
When it was first announced how that would be the topic, I gotta say I SIGHED… I hated to do that, but it comes and stayed with me a bit. One never knows with topics that involve Warrior so I cringed well fully knowing calling in would be a must. I can be unbiased, of course but some discussions~~~ people need to watch out or should I say BEWARE of me! You will know more on that word later. It was finally podcast day and they took me first. WHAT? 😳There were 4 callers ahead of me. I was stunned and overwhelmed but they know me and UW facts (or maybe emotions…) so I went first. The episode is called “ The Ultimate Warrior’s World Title Reign.” It was from June 19. It’s almost an hour although for some reason it got cut off early! 😤 I don’t know what happened but I am on about 16 minutes in for 10 minutes or so. The callers were all so positive and blamed poor booking on his not “ Hogan- like run.🙄
I loved everything that they said, and it was the longest I ever spoke! Feel free to check it out wherever you can get podcasts. I downloaded the free Podbean app but if you are a UW fan, it’s worth a listen. Just not the end that gets cut off. 🤦🏻‍♀️ They made some excellent points and Warrior was defended well so after all my sighs~~~ they didn’t let me down. No gorilla press slamming on my end!
Let’s move onto Vince and some news which few that follow might know already. He and a business partner who is a previous WWE executive have formed a new company. I’m not entirely surprised as Vince is not going to just sit around and rely on lawsuits to keep him in the news of wrestling. His company isn’t mentioning sports entertainment per se but one never knows. It’s called “ 14th and I” which are 2 streets in Washington DC where his Dad created “ Capitol Wrestling Corporation” or CWC. Nice touch on the name but we shall see what transpires… It’s an investment firm handling sports, media, and entertainment. He has the money, but it’s his personal reputation that could hinder some success. Both Vince and Brad Blum are part of some impending legalities so time will tell.
Lastly, Hulk Hogan. He and Eric Bischoff (former president of WCW) are partnering together to embark on a new wrestling company called “ Real American Freestyle” or RAF. I’m sure they got the title from HH’s old theme music. Its launch will be this August near ME in Cleveland, Ohio so that will be a crazy night down there come late summer. Both guys will oversee much along with a longtime wrestling coach named Israel Martinez. It features men and women competing in weight classes with time limits. They have teamed up with some former NCAA legends and tickets have already gone on sale. There were rumors of Hulk and Eric working together on something for months so now it’s freestyle wrestling. Maybe my husband would be interested as it’s closer to “real” wrestling and he was very good in high school. 🤼‍♀️ Another time will tell on this one but with those men involved, I’m sure curiosity will invite fans to follow. Also, athletes they are familiar with already.
That’s enough about Vince and Hulk as I don’t like getting into all that but news is news and I thought the three Titans worked! After all, WWEHQ was called “ The Titan Towers” for years and writers often referred to Hulk and Warrior as their two Titans, especially around the time of WMVI. I think it totally connects today, don’t you? I also wanted a pic of UW as champ since the podcast focused on that so it is a little off center. The magazine was folded over as I had no need for the words, just the photo. I had fun adding his colors so it worked out. 🩷🧡💚
Did fans miss me talking wrestling? It will be a rarity on here from now on unless I feel something worthy to mention like today. Hard to believe July is next week! My, time is running just like the Ultimate Warrior and my time is running out with you all for this post. Check out “ 80’s wrestling the podcast” to hear me once again. I’ve called a bunch lately! I love those guys, everyone has embraced me being mostly the only girl caller so it’s humbling to have some ultimate love! 🥰
P.S. When I first started calling into the show, they were giving everyone nicknames. I was called “the ultimate caller.” Recently, I have been outside so they were hearing lots of birds. They started calling me “the Bird Woman.” The following week, the episode was all about “ The Birdman” Koko B. Ware as a fan suggested. I was then called Kathy B. Ware!!! I loved it as they do need to * BEWARE* of me on certain topics! 🦅😂
Make Life Simple 🩵☺️
A little sidenote here with bringing up last week for a minute. I forgot to say this, but “ Express Yourself” by Madonna was one of my songs on a mixed tape. 📻 I had many tapes, but remembered that song being on one so there ya have it! Those were the days for sure when kids (probably mostly teen girls) had blank tapes in the deck waiting for a favorite song to come on the radio. We loved it all despite easier conveniences of today. I still have all mine, but can’t play them anymore… 😞 *** AND a correction here… “Fantasy” NOT “ Emotions” by Mariah Carey was played at the dentist’s office. I actually remembered it in the middle of the night! Crazy how things come to me so I just had to share that… 🤪
You’ll notice that smiling photo of Ultimate Warrior back in his early days below. Ah yes~~~ he had the best smile. 😊 He also inspired my title today as no, not always! I decided to watch a little of the “Always Believe” DVD, just some snippets of my choosing. I rarely watch Disc 1 much but closer to the HOF moments, I will more along with parts of 3. Warrior was talking about life in the beginning of the DVD. Most fans know how he portrayed the character of UW, which allowed him to be somebody larger than life which then allowed him the opportunity to do life his way~~~on his terms. Warrior got the chance to be a superhero of sorts, which then enabled him to do a simple thing called LIFE. Huh? What does that mean exactly?
I will expand on his words somewhat today as I have in the past but for many of us, it can be tricky. Life isn’t always simple. It’s messy and complicated at times, right? It sure is but again warriors~ it’s all on how we respond to it that matters. I do realize that some of you readers will highly disagree with me and frankly, I don’t blame you. After all, many are in dire circumstances or distraught with pain, family obligations, debt, and lots of other scenarios. I get it, truly I do. This isn’t about all that although I am not naïve to the frustrations of others. It’s real and it’s ugly quite often.
We need the simple though, we absolutely do. When was the last time you did something simple and easy but were fine with it? Really FINE with it? No big fuss, no extravagant details but maybe bordering on boredom? That’s good once in a while despite warriors probably thinking that if one isn’t busy, it’s not living. That is false, so don’t buy into that expression. The reason people don’t want downtime is because it scares them. Yep, it does. When you aren’t on the go all the time, your mind might play tricks on you but here’s the great part. You don’t have to let it!
There are the moments when we need alone, quiet, or stillness to think and let our soul speak to us. That doesn’t mean to sound crazy, but inspiring. Be creative and do something fun that isn’t so cerebral or brain based. I’m not saying to be irresponsible but just to lighten up some. Even warriors need fun and silly stuff, including Mr. Warrior himself . I have shared plenty on here… 🤭 We can have our thinking caps on (like I used to say to my preschoolers) but shake those ropes and let your heart decide what will come next. I know it’s ultimately hard for many of us to do, but we need it all. By all I mean the head, heart, and gut like I say on repeat. The gut has the final say so let it be your #FinalBoss.
Making life simple will look different for any of us. It can be to declutter, buy frugal (yet nice,) plan an easy day, or things similar. Don’t be bored out of your skull but just to~ here it comes~ my mantra~ “go with the flow.” See where the day takes you if you can without the hustle and bustle of work, schedules, or routines. We need our livelihood for sure but make space with a relaxing time to just be. It can entail a self love day or just hanging with those you want. That could’ve been mentioned last week! Sometimes, we do have to schedule those kinds of events but please fit them in because it’s necessary. You don’t wanna leave this planet someday and think all you did was work, work, work, do you? Again, I do understand commitments and expectations to survive financially but life is supposed to be fun too, correct? It sure is and most of us crave more of it.
I know if I don’t get a little break from heavy events that drain me, I would scream or should I snarl? 😬Even just a simple change in environment helps too. It might not be much but the serotonin in our brains will respond along with our endorphins of the heart. Listen to what your intuition tells you. I am doing that more and more without overthinking or overreacting. This means I’m not analyzing so much that I can’t just * FEEL * my way through a situation. Yes, we need the logic but allow the simple to come forward. Life will be easier when we respond in healthy ways instead of giving into those negative feelings of insecurity, doubt, or worry.
Warrior allowed his life to become simpler as he withdrew more from the professional business of wrestling. No, he didn’t just sit around on his 10 acres in New Mexico but found exciting ways to let life work in different directions with more flow. He was always a busy guy for sure but listened to his gut, which determined how life would go. Warrior always did that but with his family, it became more simple for him to just be without obligation or pressure. Life can be simple warriors if we let go of those ropes just a little and allow ourselves to flow into who we truly came here to be. I hope you can let life work for you and not work for your life. Then, like Warrior you can say “…to make a life and to be ME!” 👏🏻🏜️🥰
P.S. if any of you are followers of “ 80’s Wrestling the Podcast,”
they have a new platform since late December. It’s called Podbean, which you may be familiar with. Just download the app as it is so easy to navigate. There even is a chat room during the live episodes… Check them out sometimes if you are able… 👍💪🏻🤼‍♀️
The Vacation Magazines 💙💙
This post has a lot of details BUT before getting into all of it, I heard WWE’s “Most Wanted Treasures” on A & E will FINALLY air The Ultimate Warrior episode this Sunday, July 14. Check your local listings to be sure so we will wait and see… 😬🤞🏻
Ok warriors, are you ready? Let’s start this match! As some readers may know, I have mentioned the 80s wrestling podcast guys on here a few times so those WWF magazines you see below are from them. The owner of ” The Wrestling Collector” store in New Jersey is a cohost on the podcast so quite often they have contests on Twitter or X ( if you will.) He will show a magazine, poster, some autographed merch, or anything similar. The first one to type ” CLAIM” gets it for whatever asking price, shipping paid. I had never done this, but decided to give it a try. I know they have to make money but $25 for one magazine seems steep to me. What the heck, I tried it and WON…
The magazine cover showed Ultimate Warrior after winning the IC belt from HTM (Honky Tonk Man.) it was November 1988 and the funny part is *THAT* was the same magazine I wrote about years ago. I was at the library as a senior in high school doing research and happened to come across that WWF issue in the stacks! So, after remembering that story, I played their game. They messaged me for shipping info and asked if this was Kathy from the podcast! Yeah, it was me. Payment was either PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or some others I never use. I mentioned PayPal and they gave me the store’s email. That was it. I have used PayPal in the past but wasn’t sure about their particular procedures, if there are any. Hmmm…
I waited a few days but no response back so I emailed them asking how to proceed with payment and got nothing. Our vacation (you knew that was coming from the title right?) was the next day so I kind of forgot about it. We were pulling out of the driveway on our way and my husband asked me to get the mail. I did and guess what? Yep, something was addressed to me from NJ. I couldn’t place it and hadn’t ordered anything recently. Then, after a bit, it hit me~ the magazine! As it turned out, it (or they) didn’t come with us as my daughter forgot her phone so we had to go back. Luckily, we hadn’t gone too far but perfect for me to put my package inside although I peeked a little. It was then I saw two, not one and neither was the cover they showed for the contest! What was going on? Maybe they do too many of these things as it gets mixed up! 🤪
So, both of them were from 1990 and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I only have one other WWF magazine from 1996 as I am no collector but to have both is ultimate!! More photos to come soon. The guys never have contacted me back at all, so no payment for them! Maybe Warrior himself helped me out on this… 🥰🤷🏻‍♀️
I have a few “funnies” from our trip too. The owners informed us that there was a snake, a 7 foot harmless non-poisonous one they named “Beatrice.” Later on, I saw a friend of hers, only much smaller. I was the only one to see the second one. I got close for some pics of Miss B, but she seemed to disappear after a storm. The owners have moved her, but she kept coming back to this big tree stump. I wonder if she’ll return to new guests? She was no Damien (Jake The Snake” Roberts snake for those wondering) but still. 🐍🐍😮
One of our first nights, my son was watching “SpiderMan 2” with his dad while his sister and I played a game. He decided to watch them all lately and this movie was from 2002. That was the year his dad and I got married, Warrior’s daughter Mattie was born, AND “Macho Man” Randy Savage was in this one. I knew that years ago, but had forgotten. His wrestling character’s name was “Chainsaw McGraw.” That I had to watch in order to know. Ah- Randy, thanks for being on our trip too, but stay away from Beatrice, ha ha! If you know how he got bit by Damien. 🫣
When driving home, we passed a fireworks store. 🎆 No, we didn’t stop then but did a few weeks later in Ohio as we were in Michigan then. The store’s name was SHANGO FIREWORKS… Yes, Kathy would notice that name. Maybe they were voodoo fireworks? If any wrestling readers know who Papa Shango was and his feud with The Ultimate Warrior. I’ll stay away though. 😂🤮Just kidding as I laughed like I usually do. The last tidbit was when my daughter and I went into the rest stop gift shop to get some candy for the way home. I bought us each a candy bar totaling $11.11 🍫That’s a great spiritual number if anyone follows that but I do so different number combos pop up on receipts for me from time to time. I love it, so cool. Thank you universe. WOW… 😉
Here’s another funny as one connects to the trip, the other one when we got back. The owners of our rental were Mark and SHERRY. We had a DANA 10 years ago on our very first rental and now a SHERRY. Warrior’s been gone 10 years so I’ll let you make that connection… Warrior was involved with 2️⃣ Sherrys- one personally and one professionally. That name can be spelled different ways. How about that?
Fast forward to after the vacation when I had to take my daughter for her wisdom teeth consult. We were sent to room 6️⃣ (welcome back number of mine) and later, the finance lady handling the money at the end was named Sherry. Oh my goodness, another laugh to myself warriors.
*** That’s the post this week so I hope I made you all laugh too and don’t forget about the A&E show this Sunday!
P.S. I’ll let you know if any more info comes my way about the magazine (s) as I probably can just go in and make the payment myself but I wasn’t sure? Oh, we left for our trip on 6-15. Our first full day there was 6-16, Father’s Day and Warrior’s birthday. Not planned on purpose, ever. Oh my.
🙏🏻💪🏻
Never Play Small 🫵🏻💪🏻🏋🏻‍♀️
I am sure you’ve heard of that saying above as Warrior would 100% agree. Yes, I know he writes about 1994 there on the side and a memory I have is from 1993 (I think?) but that’s in a bit. I must admit, I used to place small but not so much anymore. Why? Because it doesn’t lead you anywhere except to frustration and disappointment all centered around expectations. It’s kind of like how back in the day, some would never ask for directions if physically lost while driving or something like that. Now, we have Siri but I’m sure you all can relate. I can be quite stubborn but nowadays, I ask for help because it sometimes is necessary. If it pertains to the kids, I’ll ask questions if need be instead of struggling on my own. Nope, not playing small on most topics anymore.
Let’s talk birthdays a moment. Maybe you celebrate yours in a grandiose fashion but maybe you’re more low-key. When younger, it’s all controlled by your parents or maybe older siblings help to plan a party. Once in school, did you tell friends when your birthday was? I did but we all have to let go of any possible outcomes. Just because you tell someone, they may not get you anything except telling you : “Happy Birthday!” 🎂 How about as adults in a workplace? My husband hates the attention which I can understand but we all deserve to be celebrated and not just as kids or on milestones. I’ve had a few fun surprises over the years (and still do 🤭) from others but in a workplace is different. A few coworkers of mine brought a beautiful lunch one year just for me, which was in 1993 that I mentioned earlier. One had asked if I liked chicken salad~~~ very random?! It totally floored me as I had no idea. I have never forgotten that… At another job, we used to do birthday lunches where everyone contributed. It was so fun, but then I never wanted to work the afternoon class!! Was that playing small? Nope, because if you don’t share, nobody ever knows. Some prefer it that way but to me, it gets lonely. We deserve that special attention but can’t expect it..
I have played small when younger like I said but other times it affects us differently. It isn’t just speaking up or sharing but also acting. Always playing small will never increase confidence as Warrior came to know many times in his life. He didn’t even play small alone doing his workouts! If he never walked into that weight room back in high school, Coach Pate never would’ve seen his potential which went from small to BIG… That of course led to so many other opportunities career wise for him and with Vince McMahon~~~ NEVER small either! I’m so grateful he had mentioned those in his HOF speech who motivated him to keep going and to not play it small. He never forgot them but we shouldn’t forget those in our lives too who motivate us for similar reasons. 🥹🔥
We all have those down days or even moments, but then something snaps us back when another picks us up. No, I don’t mean a press slam! Those who truly care will know the right thing to say or do when we think we aren’t making a difference. On my spiritual journey, there’s been several people who saw, and still see my potential and despite some humility always, I don’t play small with unworthiness. OK, I don’t go out there and do book projects anymore but I am still doing what I love~ just in another ways. I’ll have those “Ms. Resistance” times and then I’ll get a message full of compliments that I wasn’t expecting. Sure, I can always go BIGGER in many areas but there are ideas I prefer to stay smaller . Does it mean I shy away all together though? No and it shouldn’t for you either. What are some ideas or projects you might be playing small upon? Maybe you can just amp them up a little if you like. We all deserve our own praise. even if others disagree.
Lately, I’ve had people reach out to me for various reasons that I wasn’t anticipating. I even got asked to go on a retreat with my former book club ladies. I couldn’t attend, but so nice to be included and feel special. They could’ve just invited the current group but thought of the others they begin with. That’s not playing small fellow warriors…. Some friends take pics of my kids with their bands and not because they have to but because we have gotten close and they enjoy doing it. The lengths they go to get the right shot just for us parents is no small feat indeed~~~ at least sometimes. I even get sent some from extra parents which is so sweet. I have returned the favor because I am a proud mom too. 🥰📷🎼
How about those 80s wrestling podcast guys I have referenced? If you’ve heard them, they certainly have included me with their mostly regular male callers. Talk about a BIG deal. Nothing small about that and I can run with the big boys anytime! *****Switching my gear over to the feminine, my cousin doesn’t hold back when sharing spiritual topics with me either that she can’t share with anyone else. I certainly don’t restrict by being small around her as well. We won’t be small when it’s with those we truly care for and vice versa. Sometimes, I might over share but it’s only because I trust the other and feel myself enough to be ME… That includes humorous antics too as very few experience that side of myself. When I’m goofy, I’m not playing small and those select few just know my vibe! 😜You have people like that too, I know you do. I bet they let their guard down and don’t play small with you either.
Just because stuff is the best because we can celebrate friendship without there being a big celebration of sorts. It’s those real ones who ask how you are despite their own chaotic life and don’t mince words. Some of us love BIG but it isn’t because we’re clingy, it’s because we are genuine and the real deals. Playing small just kept us that way and then we’d never evolve into the big hearts we want to give without expectation. I’ve been there~ I know, but this girl doesn’t place small because there’s no winning that match. You can do you, I will do me. Let’s just agree that some things are worth playing big for. You get to choose which ones. Look to Warrior. He knew too… 💙
P.S. Guess what? No P.S. this week! It’s been a long time for that… 😉
