A One Time Return πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΈπŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ€Όβ€β™‚οΈ

Once again, I wanted to share a different opportunity Warrior had so you see his 2008 return match in Spain here. This was 10 years after he officially retired from wrestling and also 6 years before he passed. 6 again. Am sure most fans have seen this NWE (Nu Wrestling Evolution) match involving Orlando Jordan but I wanted to learn a little more, so I did. Why Spain? Well, Warrior was there receiving an award in Madrid from an Italian wrestling organization as this all came about. It wasn’t really a “comeback” in true fashion but more of a one time return to the ring. I believe he also wanted to show those cute little girls of his what Daddy did. My favorite parts are seeing them in the ring with him, oh my heart… πŸ’–

I had also found out how he had stomach flu before this match and was quite sick. Hard to believe and none of us would ever know. A while back, I thought to mention this Spain return but always stopped. Sometimes, other stories would come to me and I favored those. The real reason was this- I’d cringe. Yep, there, I said it. Sorry everyone but it’s true. Yes, he was the same age I am now and even trained very differently but alas, I still cringed even watching it again recently. He did some videos promoting the match about “following” him to Barcelona and he and Orlando fought for almost 30 minutes. Many wrestlers today are quite active even past the age Warrior was in Spain but it felt different to me. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

I was so grateful he was able to be there but seriously, I did not want him hurt even though in some ways he was. Of course it wasn’t the same as his days of being Ultimate Warrior but he did many of his traditional signature moves which became nostalgic to see except a few biggies! I didn’t want this idea to come across as sad because that isn’t my intention at all. I’m just being honest as I am. I love that Warrior could make a return to the ring and have the match that he did. Once again though, another moment to remember that us fans will have thanks to all he did.

Have you ever had that one chance again to prove you could still do something from your past? Not for a lengthy time but just for a moment or a day to engage in an activity you loved. I could still teach preschool as a sub if I wanted to. Maybe a curriculum might be a little different but I could, easy. It needs to be an area of your life you’ve moved away from for a while but could just relearn or pick up again. It doesn’t even need to be a former profession but maybe another skill or trade you’ve abandoned and possibly get coerced into trying again. I bet most of us still want to prove either to ourselves or to others that those yesteryear talents exist if we make them reappear. Just always do it for the right reasons as am sure you can figure those out. Warrior explained all his reasons on video to us fans.

Many of us think back to a time in our lives when we were let’s say more athletic, prettier, and all that because of youth. You CAN be athletic again if you start anything. You ARE prettier, you just need to feel it to believe it. Some old ways are meant to be put away to never resurface but in little doses, they can still be part of your life. How about seeing an old friend of yours that you haven’t connected with in years? They might be in town briefly or just for a day. Some may find it awkward or try to impress but some may pick up where they left off as if nothing had changed. I guess it would depend on the person or situation. We might have to adjust but then it could feel like home all over again. Warrior had to train hard for his return match but never forgot his old wrestling moves.

So, warriors- you can have a great comeback or return to something you loved even for that brief moment in time. Just make it ultimately yours in the best way. You can prove that you still have what it takes while tackling whatever is on your “to-do” list for that return. I hope you don’t cringe in the process but I know Warrior isn’t mad at me for that. At least I hope not! I bet the girls remember that special time as am sure they’ll have stories of their own to share. Take pride in knowing you did something or had something pretty important once and you’ll never forget it. Sure, it may not be the same now but some of it can be. Prove that it’s still part of you by reflecting or acting. You get to decide if it’s a one day return or more. That was Warrior’s last match in a wrestling ring but he makes his return every time we see him on videos again.

Go for that return just once and see how it makes you feel. You don’t need to be famous or 10 years older. Just one day do it for you, even if nobody’s watching…

P.S. I totally forgot from “The Tamer Rockstar” post to list the 80’s song “Amanda” by Boston! Yes, I hear it often too (:

P.P.S. Just recently I posted my “Ultimate Warrior Numerology” video on the U.W. fb group and forgot a BIG number connector. Warrior had won the 1984 Jr. Bodybuilding Mr. Georgia title in New Orleans and then 30 years later, he gets inducted into the WWE HOF during WMXXX weekend again in New Orleans… How about that?

Your Powerful Purpose

Do you know your purpose warriors? It just might not be what you’re thinking as most will probably equate purpose with a profession. Sure, it can be that partially but really- it’s so much more. It isn’t necessarily your titles in life either but the CORE of who or what you are.

That smiling man above knew his purpose and kept striving for that- always. Self belief became his purpose that propelled him to study the chiropractic field, bodybuilding, and then pro-wrestling. He also added becoming a true husband, father, artist, writer, speaker, and entrepreneur while still knowing his purpose. You can have multiple purposes but there will be one that does stick out most.

Think about your life for a moment. Underneath all the layers of what you do, can you identify with a genuine purpose? As kids, it’s so simple since we move towards independence from parents to siblings and then friends. We often tell our children that their purpose is to go to school without elaborating. That is true but as they age, purpose will come into their life more. It then becomes career driven from college and beyond. The question to ask yourself is WHY you do what you do. I sure hope your answer is more than just liking the job.

Expand your thinking like a warrior can. This is also a topic on my other blog Spirit and Belief. You need the why behind your purpose.

If you’re stuck- here’s a tip. Just do what you love or enjoy and that purpose will find you. You will know with the feelings behind your actions. It’s all about your feelings towards something. I always wanted to teach young kids and did but now find myself teaching adults in a different way. It found me by indirect acts of my own. Think about a “main event” message you want to passionately share with others. Mine became about intuition and busting myths based on my experiences. Quite the powerful purpose and one that brought about ways I could connect like this blog, YouTube videos, my other site, and book.

Even if you’re in a career you love, think of how to do more than just the job. Do you motivate with a powerful work ethic or ways of relating? Do others reciprocate? Warrior’s self belief methods were not for everyone considering his intensity behind them but you need to look further. He never wavered from his powerful purpose while encouraging others to find theirs.

One can say he was a performer or entertainer but then there’s the why again. No, wrestling wasn’t his first career choice but his purpose always was the same. Some might add other ideas to his message but belief was his ally more than another.

It shouldn’t have to be a struggle like many make it out to be. I realize some are forced into situations or even guilted into societal rules. Once you have a passion like I’ve said before, your purpose will come forth. We can say everyone’s purpose in life is to just be happy and that is true. We all have gifts though and yours need to be used in this great time you are given.

My passion ( or at least a biggie!) is of course writing but the purpose is to educate or inspire others recognizing signs along their journey. It is similar to Warrior’s after all as is my mission to carry his legacy forward.

Your powerful purpose isn’t just defined by what you do but the voice behind it. Every action you take, every thought, word, or anything with genuine intent becomes your purpose. If you go searching, you’ll become frustrated and filled with anxiety. Some may never know or some may just be content with simple things and realize that’s their purpose.

We all don’t need to be the Ultimate Warrior and there was only one him anyway. Our lives can take many different turns but look to the REAL you and what you want to put out there. Your powerful purpose will come. It may not be until later in life as maybe family dynamics change but you’ll be guided with activities you love doing.

Warrior always knew his purpose and stuck with it throughout his lifetime. As a spirit, he’s still all about belief and wants that message brought to life thru his warriors. Be happy with your powerful purpose because your CORE is truly ultimate! πŸ’«πŸ’œ

Passion or Obsession?

“What’s your

F***ING Passion?”

Another intense yet honest quote from Warrior. No, it wasn’t part of that interview above and don’t be swayed by this title. You could be thinking I am referencing something else here but that is not the case. Does a passion lead to an obsession? If Warrior not had passions that led to obsessions, he never would’ve achieved success in the way he wanted. These can overlap in some areas and an obsession doesn’t have to be all bad. Being extreme isn’t the healthy way to be but let’s explore this a little more..

Passions should be those things in your life that truly interest you like I’ve mentioned before being hobbies, activities, or anything outside your livelihood. These lead to benefits not necessarily linked to money and may serve you well in the future. We need them to keep our creative energies flowing throughout life.

Obsessions tend to be a little more tricky addressing. A brief interesting story was when I was around 11 or 12. My best friend lived across the street and she was a year older. Obviously, this involved a teen girl’s emotions as you guys can never relate directly but go with me on this. Well, my friend had a HUGE “crush”( I have always disliked that word) on John Stamos when he was on the soap “General Hospital.” Her entire bedroom door was full with photos of him. Not one piece of wood was showing. Big centerfolds, little pics, color shots, black and white– you name it and she added it on.

I remember just staring at that in awe not knowing what to make of it. Was it creepy or a masterpiece? Did any of you guys do this back in the day? So much time and effort but something I could never do. Ironically, I “liked” him years later when he starred on “Full House” but just hung up a few photos on my closet door. No photos ever of Warrior as I’ve said that before…Was my friend passionate about her collection? You bet. Was it obsessive? Kinda for me but not hurting anyone and it was just a teen girl expressing her feelings. I know there are those extreme collectors out there as I have blogged about in the past. It is too much for me but it’s a passion and it’s yours. No judging as that is not what we should do.

From my perspective, obsessions can also be like those crazy people on shows or in the movies. You know what I mean with the magazine cut outs and putting an X on their significant other while placing their own photo in that spot. These are adult situations and not teens but those obsessions can become a reality outside of shows or movies.

Obsessions can turn into addictions if we aren’t careful. Passions we can possibly walk away from and try something new but obsessions aren’t that easy to move out of our lives or at least make them healthy. It’s all your own viewpoints as some may highly disagree with what is regarded as passions versus obsessions. Some may even attack me with my relationship to Warrior in spirit. My passion with sharing stories and the book Spirit and Belief led to a greater purpose. Am I obsessed with it to the point of isolation or extreme thinking? No. Could some be? Sure.

Warrior’s passions led to obsessions that some viewed as destructive however, they never interfered with his family or life obligations at all. He knew how to schedule his time well and once again, we should not judge but respect. It was his destiny and he followed it. His passion truly was self-belief and getting others to believe that as well. He ultimately embodied that discipline of the mind over the body throughout his life and wanted people to fight for that passion.

Am sure you will know the difference when something gets out of control and others need to interfere for your well-being. I do hope nothing gets like that for you where a passion that is an obsession becomes an addiction affecting your overall life.

O.K, warriors I bet you have some passions in your life but are they obsessions? I guess it truly depends on what you classify as those and how you manage them. Just know they can lead to greatness ( remember my genius post?) or they can lead to destruction. It’s your choice and you have free will to decide.

Take that f***ing passion and make it work. Go for the good since only you can choose how to best succeed. That obsession can be healthy if you allow it to be.
