Moments and Memories

This post will conclude my experiences and emotions regarding five years ago with Warrior’s passing. I’m not sharing my whole day of shock upon hearing the news on April 9, but wanted to relate my grief and the tribute on RAW April 14.

When my brother informed me of the tribute, I had no idea of what to expect. I just knew for those brief minutes that WWE would be on my T.V. that night. The whole day my stomach was in knots as time passed way too fast. I became more immersed in my activities while trying to avoid distractions. So many scenarios played out in my head as I anticipated that volcano inside my throat. 🌋

I had to tell my husband why I wanted to watch RAW which we don’t. So needed to form my words correctly without tears. Prior to this, it was our family game night that the kids initiated a few weeks before. They picked Clue Jr. and Mama calmed her heart to play. Sometimes these games take too long and had to mention possibly cutting it short. There was something on T.V. their Mama needed to watch. Luckily, it ended with about 20 minutes before 8:00–RAW time.

I explained to my husband how my favorite wrestler passed away recently and they were giving him a tribute on RAW. No big deal to him really. Why did I care so much? After all, it wasn’t just his T.V., right? The eerie part for me was where I sat to watch. Really wasn’t even thinking but ended up in the exact same spot I sat a week ago. A week ago when Warrior was still alive making his last television appearance on RAW. That didn’t faze me until later. Very different feelings just 7 days ago.

While watching after several minutes, my husband saw part of the Ultimate Warrior‘s IC title win over Honky Tonk Man. He looked at the T.V. pointed to HTM, and asked:“Is that him?” He meant Warrior. Since I never liked the bad guys as previously blogged, my face grimaced some while slowly saying:“Noo, he’s the other guy…” Not wanting to cry, a little smile formed on my face. Let’s just say emotion-wise that his comment about HTM was better than if we’d seen Undertaker!!! So very glad to see the Honky Tonk Man get inducted this year.

Guess the humor was needed for just a moment. My husband was completely clueless about all this and I wasn’t ready to share. I was actually better than I thought during the tribute but music gets me every time. Every single time. The song “One More Time” by

7 Lions was perfect with the part played. It seemed so wrong to hear the Ultimate Warrior’s theme music without seeing him running or just physically there. I applaud Triple H for getting the crowd going as hearing that music, well, you just can’t sit still. I do have a post about “Unstable” coming soon so stay tuned… Of course the next day, I watched it all again by myself tissues in hand. 💔😢

After the memorial tribute was over, I knew that volcano needed to erupt. I tapped my foot constantly while digging my nails into the side of the couch. I told my husband he could change the channel as I left the room.

Going upstairs to be alone seemed too obvious so I made my way into our half bathroom off the kitchen. After a few moments of silenced sobs, I turned on the faucet full blast to mask my tears. My ugly cries came yet again. That early April made me lose my voice from grief but I blamed it on the exceptionally warm spring which brought about my “cold.”

I’m sharing my story not out of extreme sad memories or my horrible emotional state back then at all. It is being written to show how grief knows no barriers whatsoever. We all grieve, even over losing things. It isn’t just people. I’ve even grieved over getting our new van a few years ago after having our first one 11 years. This year, it’s a new pool that’s replacing our old one and yes, I’ll grieve again. Am sure Dana grieved when selling Casa de Warrior a few years back.

Your grief is yours alone and it knows no time. You will know what journey is truly yours and there is no comparison. Some can say I was crazy to grieve so long and hard for a celebrity. Believe me, I questioned it also. Grief never fully goes away but just changes over time. I debunk many myths we buy into in my book Spirit and Belief.

I kept so much hidden for various reasons and very glad not to hide anymore. Slay those naysayers warriors! Don’t ever feel like your grief doesn’t matter because it does!! Perhaps Dana seemed so strong to all of us but she has such a huge support system which I never had.

Remember that we all need to be validated and go thru a process to get where we are today. We all go in different directions but need support along the way. I validate your grief for whatever reasons and truly understand. We need to let it out and not push it down. Without my process, I wouldn’t be doing all I am now in memory of Warrior. He gave me that validation and supported me from the start.

So, I am moving on from these moments and memories as I continue making new ones. Please do that too. My humor will be back very soon as it is the backbone of many posts! I realize sharing your grief or stories can be so challenging but know you are not alone. Grief makes us stronger.

Just don’t wallow too much as the spirit needs to laugh as well. Make that grief your OWN and let it pass as it needs to. A Warrior is strong but also tender. Celebrate how your sadness makes you real because it matters. A relative, celebrity, an object or memory, we have them all. Some we lose but some we keep. Make sure you keep what’s important as it reflects your life. The ones you keep are imprinted in your soul. Never let anyone deny that of you.

I will never forget April 14 as another moment and memory for me but know it let to a higher purpose. My story makes a difference just like yours does for you. Never by defined by myths, they are meant to be debunked. Grief will lead to joy. Go with it and your strong warrior self will make it truly ultimate. Being “sensitive,” “emotional,” or “too dramatic” isn’t a curse. It’s a blessing and what a life lesson it has been for me. 💙💪🏻🙏🏻~~~ Kathy

Five HOF Warrior Years

With Wrestlemania 35 and the WWE HOF this weekend, I’d like to share a few of my HOF related memories. I, like most true Ultimate Warrior fans will always remember his induction five years ago on April 5, 2014. As readers of this blog and quite possibly my book Spirit and Belief also may know, two signs in my home fell on April 5, 2016. The third April 5 connector was just last year when I attended a book event that became “The Library Lift-off” blog post. So, April 5 will always remain as another of my most fondest memories with dates and Warrior. Maybe I’ll get something next year with those even numbered years?

Five years ago also brought the first basketball game we attended as a family. My husband and I had gone to a few but never with the kids. My son in 4th grade (yet again with that grade!) had won a ticket to see the Cleveland Cavaliers through school. We were all so excited! Our family of four celebrated my son’s birthday a week later even though the Cavs lost. It was so great seeing this boy getting into the crowd with his chants of “DEFENSE!” I can’t believe he just turned 15.. 💙😲 Where have five years gone???

I remember glancing upward seeing retired jerseys in the rafters. Those names were of players I followed back in high school. Just like a memory of someone else I followed in high school.

While watching the game, my mind thought of Warrior who later in the evening would take his rightful place in his professional home. I did have several moments of distractions of course but all filled with such pride. First my son and then of Warrior. I guess it was a good thing being at the arena instead of home for me that night.

The Cavs may have lost but my son won with inviting our hometown team into his heart. That began those two years of emotion until our BIG title win in 2016. Warrior also won with a different kind of victory that didn’t involve a court or even a wrestling ring. He was gifted with an HOF ring meaning much more than a title or a belt.

So, again where have these last five years gone? I ask that sometimes over the years with my kids but never thought that question would involve Warrior on his passing. That’s why I wanted to remember and share in his HOF more. I’m not one of those mothers who gets all sappy with time. Sure, I can go there in a second but I don’t. It can seem like just yesterday in many ways but the feeling is neutral for me.

I was always home with my kids so heck yeah– the time is very real in its years! They are 15 and almost 13. The same is true of Warrior. Five years can seem like yesterday but then after everything I’ve gone through, it really sounds about right being that long.

When looking at photos, it’s the same yet again. I have a picture of my son from another Cavs game in his photo frame where I see it everyday. That twelve year old looking so intent had no idea Mom was taking his picture. Yesterday and now all at once. The photos I have of Warrior echo that too as is probably true for all of us.

Do you perceive time passing the same or different than me? Guess that all depends on your life and those moments lived which are different for each person. There is no time or space up in parts unknown so as a spirit, Warrior isn’t confined anymore with those terms as we are here.

However you view time, just make it count and become memorable. Warrior would want nothing less from us as he always made his moments count. Gosh, I can still view myself first watching WWF and can’t believe that was 35 years ago! BTW– I was 12. Videos bring memories back even more than photos and that’s o.k. too. It’s good to remember but just don’t live in the past too long.

I reflect on many dates and passages of time but need the happy more than the sadness. I hope you do the same. Five years, thirty, or thirty-five, remember with pride and then live for the now.

~~~ Happy Five HOF years Warrior as I look back on April 5 and know that time passes as it must. ~~~”This too shall come to pass and until we meet again, I will always believe!” ~~ Kathy (with a little bit of quoting Warrior)
P.S. I first started watching WWF 35 years ago as it becomes WM35 this year! 💖💙👏🏻💪🏻🙏🏻
P.P.S. I have used a few HOF pics before so wanted a different one for this post!
Ultimate Warrior 2019?
Before I begin today’s post, a quick acknowledgment is sent out to WWE’s own Sue Aitchison on receiving the Warrior Award this year during the HOF ceremony. Sue has been a longtime WWE employee for over 30 years and heads up the Make-A-Wish program. She has helped grant wishes to over 6,000 kids! I am so excited to see another woman receive this honor! Well deserved and congratulations to Sue!! 👏🏻🏆
A few weeks ago, I wrote about the idea of U.W. being bad but today harbors another idea… A new question has been coming to my mind lately and maybe some of you Warrior fans or WWE followers can help me? I have often wondered if the Ultimate Warrior character would work in pro-wrestling today. Let’s look at their slogan of Then, Now, and Forever. Of course then. Of course forever. What about now? My first answer was an emphatic NO! Then, I thought of the little things. Remember, I don’t watch today so again all my feelings.
The paint is still used by some performers in small ways, some guys have a lot of hair going on, yelling- yes, muscles- ok, there’s all that. The no’s of course would be the running, addressing the “gods,” thumping his chest, shaking ropes, snarling, and let’s not forget all that color. Dana Warrior has also said she misses the colorful performers of yesteryear with all their gear. Sure, a little of that still exists but not like it did back then.
The bigger issue of the U.W. character probably not working today is the lack of creativity. Warrior had also said this. The storylines can get pretty crazy– that I know but so much more is scripted today. The performers don’t have as much “control” in a way like they had years ago. Warrior would agree and walk just on that alone.
I think in the earlier years, Vince McMahon let them do so many things with less “pulling on the strings” or being fed a script. They were really trying to become more mainstream in the media and with fans. I know this is true since so much of what I’ve watched on videos is not censored like it is today! Am sure those were jokes but sometimes I literally can’t believe what some of the commentators just said!! 😬
The entertainment industry has changed of course so it’s up to them if adapting fits with their ways. There are several performers who were opponents of Warrior’s still in WWE today. They’ve probably adapted to fit in with 2019’s entertainment standards. I really believe some of what they do would intrigue Warrior. His manager Steve mentioned getting him back into paying attention just a little several years prior to his passing. Very different watching versus signing contracts and performing.
Who knows really? Warrior did always have tons of ideas but sometimes Vince had others. It’s hard to change but evolve we must. Like I’ve also said, my brain is old school with this. I do love how WWE is able to keep it fresh all the time. The women ROCK! I love how their evolution is more mainstream than ever and with Mattigan Warrior planning her run to the ring– even better! 💖
Warrior entered the then WWF at a perfect time as it was his destiny. They needed another good guy superhero and he needed them. He was involved in so many insane antics then so he’d probably love the stunts and props of today. I just feel he’d want more creative input and they don’t get as much anymore.
So, overall– would his character work today? As a whole, no. In pieces, yes. Would Warrior agree? Yes. It’s all of him or none of him (as some performers tried to emulate) and I concur. Sure, you can create a brand new “version” of a similar Ultimate Warrior but it wouldn’t be authentic and he surely is/was.
I do like the versatility of what they have in WWE today. Many performers use their real names. Rarely heard of back then unless it was part of the gimmick. Some also don’t really feel the need to add to their gear much at all. Just the basics. It works and that’s all that matters. Warrior would get bored but hey, it’s the now!
Some pay homage to our “heroes” of the past and that’s different as they consider them mentors. What an honor that is. I heard how Batista shakes ropes and Warrior loved that. To create a character that remains in minds and hearts forever is truly legendary. The current superstars are already doing this as we have our superstars of an era gone before.
To be an ultimate warrior in 2019 is much more than what he brought to television. He pointed in the crowd and said how we all are the ultimate warrior. It isn’t defined by gender. We must strive for our best selves and stay true to our beliefs. That’s what an ultimate warrior means to me as I know it’s how Warrior lived as well. Whether or not a character similar to his graces television again, there will never be another. There will never be another me or you either. Be the ultimate warrior version of your BEST self Then, Now, and Forever… 2019 into the future!!! ⚡️🔥🚀👍👊🏻
The James Boys
This little adventure involved chaperoning a Fourth Grade Field Trip of my son’s five years ago. Oh, those memories of everything back then as I remembered this one… Both my kids had a Family Fun Center as part of their end of the year field trips. These were in fourth and fifth grade and I chose the first year to chaperone both. Two mothers in charge of around 6 kids each for a group. I always loved the outdoor warmer weather trips and tagged along on a few.
When you sign up to chaperone, your child gets to pick the kids for their group. Of course my son rallied up his comrades of all boys. Once I saw the list, yet again another Warrior moment. My son isn’t a James nor was another boy but the other four were. I giggled knowing these “James Boys” were in my charge for the day. Believe me, I asked my son if he selected these on purpose because of their names but he told me how he did like them. They were all friends. Hard to believe FOUR JAMES in the same class despite the popularity of that name.
Needless to say, they all had a blast together while I just contemplated these James Boys to myself. Not all fun and games though, no way! Work also needed to be done. They had a packet to complete and helped each other out. Tasks included: figuring the depth of the bumper boats pool, finding the median/mode range of the number of strokes for mini-golf, and calculating the racing speed of a go-kart track. Ugh… math!!! I loved seeing them accomplishing their packets while having fun too.
What a great day and my son is still friends with a few of these James Boys today in high school. I happened to look up some meanings for the name James and I do believe some apply to that other guy by the name of Warrior. Here is that list:
They are honest, benevolent, brilliant, inventive, courageous, determined, original, creative, leaders, intellectual, bold, independent, a researcher of why, bored easily, has many jobs, likes to talk, inspired, likes to show abilities before an audience, an idea sharer, and outgoing professionally.
www.sevenreflections.com
WOW!! I don’t know the boys that well but who knows– perhaps more in their future adult life those James qualities will come forth. Warrior was born James and I am stunned as to the traits that fit him so well. None of these kids went by Jim since being 9 or 10, that’s kinda young for that shorter nickname.
As most readers of this blog in the past know, I had so many fun little connectors to Warrior then and still do today. Everything always surprises me and to know I even got his given name is so special to me. 💙💙💙💙 O.K, you can scream coincidence all you want but it’s the feeling, remember? If those boys were named anything else, I wouldn’t have noticed or had a story worth sharing on these Warrior writings at all!
Look up the meaning of your name as you might be educated with what is found out. Sometimes we just like a name but also realize its deeper connection to us. That’s why Warrior legally changed his. His deeper beliefs led him to make that choice since it is who HE is… Can you just imagine him as a little boy? Was he a Jimmy, Jamie, or just James before Jim? I really don’t know for sure but am thinking not a Jamie!!
Those James Boys gave me a story with an experience I’d never forget and five years later, it’s finally shared. They were a great group and I know these boys are just as great being teens as they were in fourth grade, including my son and the other boy…
I sure hope despite his name change, Warrior knew some of the James meanings. They still fit him, legally or not. To all the James, Jim, Jimmy, or Jamie Boys, enjoy your name and never forget its meanings– even if you decide to change it someday…
The Introverted Warrior
Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert? Believe it or not, most people exhibit both qualities but let’s take a look at the one in the title.
I am NOT listing synonyms of being introverted since many I dislike but AM sharing some traits. They are:
~~ internal, introspective, enjoy solitude, have a strong sense of self, different views, don’t like small talk, need time alone to recharge energy, and like to think.
Quite the list, isn’t it?
Often times they are misunderstood and struggle to become accepted socially. WE do not have constant social anxiety or extreme shyness. So many misconceptions, so little time.
Let’s take a look at that other word in my title. Do you fans know that Warrior (aka The Ultimate Warrior) was really an introvert? Yep, he has said so in many videos and on The Ultimate Collection DVD. I am too. Here’s another connection between us both. Many of those above traits describe him as well as myself. It’s not so negative but is often viewed as such in society.
He wrote. I write and even published a book! So extremely honored to be included with these fellow authors at the library (which Warrior also loved.) Perhaps most introverts do write, that’s easy for us. Dana has also called herself an introvert and she writes as well. To get out there and sell a book or even a character like he did is very extroverted. I must say that most folks I know are SHOCKED to see my published book but then of course excited too. Is it because of the task? I don’t believe so. I believe it’s because of the nature of my personality that shocks them.
Warrior was told in high school that he “wouldn’t succeed” much in life. Wow… I think he proved them wrong! Once us introverts have a strong passion, we go for it despite the cultural label. Many people I associate with also can’t believe how s_ _ I was in school. Sorry, dislike that word! You can probably guess…
It’s all about the adult you become by following and believing in your purpose. Many of Warrior’s competitors back then didn’t understand his ways considering the character was so extroverted. Deep down he wasn’t. Still intense– yes, but an introverted thinker.
I hope if you are an extrovert reading this, you don’t misunderstand my post but if you do, that’s your right. I’m not bashing a more outgoing personality as I know many whose qualities are very admirable. Just am adding more of that myth busting I do so well! Also, to always educate so we all can let go of assumptions is the real way to be. Don’t be the first three letters of that word!! 😉
The title of this post is me just like the man since us warriors stick together. Introverts LIKE people, really. Sometimes we might not be up for that big party and would much rather stay home. Please don’t misinterpret that message as many do. It’s not that we don’t want to go anywhere so no taking things personally.
I can’t fully imagine how it was for Warrior back then but yet again, he never ever strayed from his core self and I don’t either. O.K., sometimes I do but not that often anymore. If you feel this way as an introvert, don’t let it consume you. We can’t people please and really shouldn’t. All of us judge based on the most silliest of reasons, including me.
Remember to focus on being better while still OWNing yourself everyday. Be better~~ not bitter. I never ever thought that being an introvert meant I couldn’t get a book published. It did hold me back from other things when I was younger though. My book Spirit and Belief has a chapter on removing labels and without them, we all could be kinder.
Whether or not you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert, just know that as people we all want and need acceptance. That’s it. I could go on and on about my struggles with this but the present is now. I was very surprised when I heard more about Warrior’s past but it really explains so much of him and why he never gave up.
We do need to be challenged but shouldn’t have to prove ourselves in order to be accepted. Our personalities do mold us but they don’t need to define us. I have some extroverted aspects but I use them for myself and not to spite others. Introvert, extrovert, whatever.. Just be YOU and let others be THEM.
The Blue Jay Feather Dream
Mr. Warrior keeps coming thru with inspiration and I am always so grateful. This dream put us in yet another situation together and connected my sign from him~~ blue jay feathers.
Again, I was at one of my preschools~~ geez! This time Warrior was a co-worker of mine, imagine that (; We did have some men at the second job so perhaps he was revisiting my past?… Anyway, picture it being YEARS ago like near the late 90’s. In this particular school, we team taught but at certain times of the day you’d split up into groups of 6-7 kids and work on specific skills. We called it “stations” so the students could get one on one help with their group teacher. O.K.- remember neither Warrior nor myself was “attached” to someone else so we were both single. 😉
Often times we’d catch the other’s eye and look away pretending not to notice. Oh my, such sweet innocent flirting. Warrior in this dream was himself meaning his real look of 5 years ago and not the wrestling look.
It became time for us to gather the kids for stations as they’d line up one behind the other. Another teacher I worked with ( yes, she was for real!) had a girl in her group experiencing a meltdown. Their station time couldn’t even begin so our director came in while the teacher took the little girl out in the hallway. I remember the hallway in this dream having lockers which it didn’t and wouldn’t. Kinda weird…
Warrior and I just looked at each other puzzled but knew we had to continue with the day. We moved along and Warrior had the best time with these kids doing all kinds of physical activities! No mention of his name though. 🤔 Guess he was “Mr. Jim” which also was the director’s name~~ no joke! The teacher in the hallway seemed so stressed as the little girl only wanted to be comforted by her. Finally, she calmed down as the director talked to the teacher.
I was close with this co-worker and we became fast friends back then. Warrior had all these kids excited to move on as I’d still glance in his direction…
I did get a chance to talk to the teacher about little girl’s meltdown as kids were still grabbing for my hands to finish stations. We chatted a little but no memory of what was said. Then, everything changed. I went to speak with a child in my group and say how it was all over and we could get back to normal. But, everyone was gone. I was talking, looked around, and saw nobody. Not anyone at all. It was an empty room and no equipment around either. Just me. Probably was lucid dreaming since my memory recalls it maybe all having been a dream.
I spun around but it seemed like this never happened at all. Then, I noticed on the floor in front of my feet was a blue jay feather. I slowly bent down and picked it up ever so carefully. At first I was thinking: “How did this get in here?” Only after a few seconds did I realize this was Warrior’s calling card. See~~ I KNEW that in the dream. I smiled knowing and remembering the true meaning that he is still around.
Sometimes when I think he’s moved on or that he’s busy, there he is again guiding and giving me our sign. I’ve never had a dream like that where everything just disappeared but boy~~ it was fun being co-workers even if just for a little while.
Always believe in dreams and remember how spirits are there when we ask or not. I hadn’t asked but guess he wanted to remind me. There’s a song title like that too, one I heard all the time several years ago..,, It is like this for you too with your loved ones whether or not you have dreams with them. The signs or calling cards matter. Notice however you can since they are sending their love. I actually had been kinda down and this dream was what I needed.
Details don’t always matter but like I say~~ the feelings always do as does the message. The blue jay feather made all the difference and I always thank Warrior aka “Mr. Jim” for working with me. Literally WORKING with me! I am honored to have seen him as a preschool teacher. ❤️ He shared in my profession back then as I shared in his so how truly ULTIMATE connecting both…
P.S. Unfortunately, I have a correction to make regarding “The Mythology of Heroes” blog post… I found my high school report that seemed to disappear, remember? Ugh 🙁 Well, it did seem awfully big for a spirit to use that much energy (even Warrior!) I do always believe since after all, I got warrior batteries and other stuff! These things do happen but alas, not of this magnitude for me. Maybe someday though.,, Time will tell!
The Jump-Start on Journaling 📓📔📒
Do you write stuff down? Maybe not like my journals but am sure you do in one way or another. Let’s see– grocery lists, post-it’s, or a to do list for the day. I actually still do some of these but maybe you make your lists with your phone or other device nowadays!
Guess I’m just a writer (: Warrior also wrote. Every single day. I loved hearing about all the cute notes written to his lovely warrior girls inspiring their days. He also made a journal for his two daughters after they were born. I can only imagine how he filled those up with his OWN brand of fatherly wisdom. 💖📝
I was always humbled with my writing as evidenced with the notebook on the far left. Here’s another “item” I kept from high school. It was part of my sophomore service project where we had to volunteer for 30 hours at a place of business and keep a journal. This was graded and needed to be a place you’d consider for a possible career. I chose a daycare center since that really began my experience working with young children.
I loved writing my adventures with these pre-k students and gave no thought to what grade I’d receive. At the end of the school year, they were returned. The teacher was handing them out and then proceeded to give a short speech on a certain someone’s. I had no idea he was talking about me at first. Then, while moving towards my desk he held it like it weighed A TON! It was a huge compliment but like most teenagers— I was totally embarrassed! Never did I forget that moment so who knows~~ that might’ve jump started my journaling abilities!! YES, I did get an A 😉…
The other notebooks are filled with inspirational quotes, tips for writing, goals/ plans for my book Spirit and Belief, speaking gigs, techniques from others, and all great stuff. I love adding ideas while becoming educated all at once.
If you aren’t a natural with writing and would like some prompts, go for it! Sure, you can google some but you are reading this so it’s my job HERE. Just start with a few, short, simple ideas. Ask yourself personal or professional questions. List favorite activities. What makes you happy? What are some goals for the day/week/ month, etc. Whatever you like. There are NO rules. You can’t go wrong, be creative! Just don’t list too many at once.
Teachers do this activity with school kids as prompts but we adults need them too. If it really interests you, you’ll make the time without excuses. I love reading books and since some are from the library, I can’t highlight! This is a great journal idea. I wrote down some cool lines from chapters that resonated with me. I read them for a quick pick me up when needing confidence. I have bought plenty of books too. This might not be your thing and that’s ok, chose what works for you.
The fun part is to go back a few months later and see if your list is the same or different. Maybe new ideas get added and some get crossed off. Maybe small ones get turned into bigger ones. You don’t need to be a professional writer to jot down what’s important to you. Guys too!! Another great thing is if you write something down~~ you will more likely achieve it than not. This is ABSOLUTELY true! Once you focus on a thought in print, it is more willing to manifest into a reality.
It has kept me focused and not just the business end but personal events too. What a difference journaling has made for me and if you give it a try, I guarantee you’ll benefit greatly. Again, don’t start too big or complex in goals or ideas. You’ll become too frustrated and possibly even feel defeated. My suggestion for beginners is to just make fun lists or mantras you love. That way when you branch out into more challenging aspects, your lovely lists will boost you up!
Perhaps one of these days, Dana will work on releasing some of Warrior’s many journals in print for us fans. She has mentioned that since some were asking but what a daunting task! He wrote so much years ago before significant matches. I would be interested to hear what he journaled before Wrestlemania VI, VII, or others! She did have lots to pack up before her move a few years ago so what became of his many journals? Hmmmm.? I would love that answer…
I do hope you find your OWN way to take a jump start on journaling if it inspires you. Get a notebook and just jot down anything you want! I never seem to have that writer’s block but many do. There are lots of prompts out there as well as benefits but I hope my ideas got you thinking. Maybe you even kept some stuff from school like I did 😜. You’re better than that teenage “angst” but now it’s adult “angst!”
~~~ Whatever you write, just know it won’t be graded. Maybe too you can give it to your kids when they grow up!!
