Disappointment Builds Resilience… 😔💪🏻🩷

THANK YOU all again as I recently noticed a few *** NEW***subscribers, which brings the number into a whole other group of numbers. Nice to see but authentically I know it’s lower and that’s OK. I’m not disappointed. More on that… 😬

February… We are getting closer to Spring in my part of the world warriors so let’s send good vibes for warmer weather. I said how I’d be using selfies more so that one down below is showing off my Always Believe birthday sweatshirt given to me back in September. I loved taking some pics in it then and that photo is actually my icon for this blog. I had yet to use it on here though. It was a beautiful yet unexpected gift from a friend and like all my U. W. memories, I treasure it dearly. 🥰🥹🤗

Yes, memories. I’ve mentioned that word plenty and I don’t want to bring everyone down for this month of LOVE but things happen we all need to face in some way. I want to look to the positive so hence the title. We’ve all been disappointed, right? Of course we have but it’s how we’ve become resilient enough while facing it that counts the most. I didn’t want to get into the recent scandal over at WWE now, but it hurt me differently than some others. My emotions got the better of me and I thought later on about my MANY posts over the years. I wanted to delete several and eliminate a certain name mentioned, but then thought about memories. They are mine just like with all of you.

Despite some frustration, my writing remains what it is as I stand by each and every one. It is with fondness that I reflect back and remember the good, like you read from me often. We can be naïve or turn a blind eye to possible disappointment but sooner or later~ it’s there in many forms. Just think about YOUR life for a moment. We can move forward more easily if an action is perhaps momentary or a temporary lapse in judgment, we’ve all been there. How about if it’s ongoing where we may ignore but then it becomes repetitive? We also might not have all the facts but certain behaviors can persist. *** When younger, you could’ve been disappointed in not getting that toy you wanted for your birthday. *** There are always reasons as to why not but when adults, the emotion goes deeper. I’ve been betrayed by many throughout my life as Warrior will attest but as we age, we become more educated and want more answers.

Resilience needs to come, and does come from even the smallest of losses that will eventually over time turn into bigger ones. I’m not saying it’s all gloom and doom~~~ of course not, but we need to know better techniques in dealing with letdowns besides: “this is how it is, oh well, it happens…” or similar childish responses we receive when little ( or even NOW…) I have learned plenty along the way like we all should but sometimes there’s still that lingering word of HOPE.

Do you still support those who disappoint you in any way? I believe many do and myself included to a degree. It does depend on several factors and one person does not influence our decisions, at least they shouldn’t. Others come into the equation as well and there are always GOOD people who try their best. Even I disappoint at times, but I know to change behavior. Some won’t, or perhaps cannot. Again, to those who cannot~~~ I can only feel sorry that someway, somehow, they choose to never improve. 😓 Most folks are inherently good, it’s their choices and actions that are not. We become disappointed because we CARE.

No matter what happens to any of us, there will always be those times that will continue to shock — even though we may anticipate something brewing. We know no person is perfect, no business is perfect, no relationships are perfect. We only see the surface but getting past the deflatedness means we rise up once again. Some hurts stay with us longer than we want, even not getting that elusive toy as a kid. We can’t ignore or dismiss as there will always be another story behind the action. It’s what we choose to believe. Whatever your choices ~ to feel bad, or let it go, just think clearly as to your WHY. Like I said, we will always have the good to go back to. Don’t let the disappoint make your warrior resilience tap out. I know I won’t…

We try for HOPE in spite of that situation, which became upsetting.

Every time I’d hear of a new project Warrior was working on outside of WWE, (how remains a mystery… ? 🤔) my first thought was negativity of disappoint. That would SO upset me. Why? Because his reputation precluded many ideas into becoming fruition at times. I would think: ” uh-oh, they will say he’s difficult, abrasive, or unworkable.” Choose your own words. I HATED the fact that because of his past, it could influence his future business as sometimes it did. I wanted to be so excited for him, and part of me was but the bitter taste back then with WWE came along for the ride. He did rise above it all and became resilient in lieu of any outcomes. I always rooted for him to still do things his way but creatively, projects did get pinned to the mat. Those that did get brought to life were so very important to him and he always had fans support, in other ways outside of wrestling. Not everything is what it seems behind the scenes as we all know but I was overjoyed Warrior could mend those fences before he left us. Some may not get that chance ~ and for them, I am sad. 💔

Maybe we should just accept to be disappointed by some because of their nature. After all, I for one have never put anyone on a pedestal- including Warrior. That’s in my book… Where do we draw the line and say enough already?! Those ropes were shaken by Warrior to draw strength from us and now WE need that strength to be resilient through him because we are HERE

P.S. I will admit~~~ WWE gave me yet another topic this week. We can apply this post to so many other areas though. Disappointment will never go away and our feelings won’t either. Choose what is worth spending your energy on. Trust your gut. That’s what a warrior needs to do. Always believe in THAT like my sweatshirt says… 💚

Solid as a “ROCK.” 🪨💪🏻💙

I just need to mention real quick about last week’s date being 1-24-24. Yes, we will have that every month like last year but January brings the first of course. I love repeating numbers AND this is it for the first month of 2024. Wasn’t it just New Year’s Day?

OK, WRESTLING fans~~~ I’m BAACK…. Did you miss that topic? Sometimes, I need to focus my energy on different areas or there isn’t much of a story from the wrestling world waiting to be explored by ME. Now, there is yet again. (***BTW- I wrote this post after finding out about “The Rock” but BEFORE the most recent scandal broke the following day… ***)

You’ll notice if you read to the end (as I HOPE you do) that pic of Ultimate Warrior. It involved a tag team match between him and “King” Duggan (Hacksaw) versus André the Giant and “Ravishing” Rick Rude in 1989. The good guys won albeit by cheating a little, oops~~~ ha ha! As fans of U.W. know- he was part of two tag teams with Sting being the “Freedom Fighters” and then “Blade Runners.” Jim Hellwig’s name with the Blade Runners was “Rock.” . Fans may also know a few others by that name. We had “The Rock” Don Muraco who was “Magnificient” and then “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson years later. His Dad’s name doesn’t count as Rocky.

That takes me to the real topic at hand here. Any guesses? Come on. IYKYK. DJ has hinted at “possibly” stepping in the wrestling ring once again only this time as part of WrestleMania 40. They need something BIG right? It is rumored he will be facing none other than his cousin who is the universal champ- Roman Reigns. The Rock also just recently signed onto the WWE Board of Directors, while securing the rights to his name. That second part sounds a little like with someone else years ago did in a way to secure HIS name, only legally and not with WWE. What DJ is doing means nobody in the business can use “The Rock” as a moniker anymore. Well, we’ve had others in the past so let’s move on from the same name. That is similar to WWE over using (at least in my opinion…) “the King” moniker many times hence part of the pic again below. Yes, they had the “King of the Ring” tournament for years but I mean just the name like with Jerry Lawler, Harley Race, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and of course, Haku, who lost the crown he won from Jerry to none other than Hacksaw. Yes, I had to re-look all that up about Haku and Hacksaw as it’s very vague in my memory. And to think weeks ago, I just took a photo from a U. W. tag team match. Wow, the connectors that “tag” in are crazy! Writing brings out details I never had originally thought of quite often. 😜

Also, in WWE news is the recent announcement beginning next January 2025, how RAW will be moving to Netflix. My brother informed me of this before I read it on social media. It’s a HUGE multi year deal. Plus, my 80s podcast guys also covered some of that info on their episode of last week. Both SmackDown and NXT will be switching cable networks in October as well. Can you just imagine how RAW will change the face of Netflix? The guys were trying to determine the increase of viewers. I believe it will skyROCKet, 🚀 how about you? WWE will also be moving their PLE’s (paid live events) to Netflix too. Those used to be PPV’s as I always called them. No idea on that name change. How decades have evolved, that is for sure. At this time next year, they will know how viewership increased as I’m sure it will, by a LOT. It’s all business and moving through the eras WWE will always do. The Internet and streaming are the NEW now.

So, what’s your opinion as I get back to the topic of The Rock at WrestleMania 40? Yes, his appearance earlier this month drew BIG ratings for them as it would, nostalgia and all. Who knows how this will play out with a title on the line. I cannot predict what they will do and obviously with him now being on the board, he will be more involved. Is he stepping away from movies and Hollywood for a while to strap on the boots? He is generational with everyone, but is this just a one time thing? So many questions with WWE always leaving us guessing. To have a brief run for him again would be monumental but a LONG run, I actually don’t want that. Sure, he can still perform and entertain as many wrestlers continue into later years like U. W’s old tag team partner of Sting. He will be retiring this year from AEW. I just feel personally that like Warrior said in his HOF speech, you will know when it’s time to move on and pass that torch to the next generation. I understand how different it is these days with veterans still wanting roles in the business. They don’t just want to mentor or be backstage, they want to be in the ring if they still can at whatever capacity. If this continues though with the current roster, nobody would ever retire and the HOF would just honor past legends of yesteryear. The Rock of course will be part of a class one year and he is still so young (my age!) but when is it time to fully step away? I believe they should push some of the existing talent who work tremendously hard at that level. We can’t relive the past, but is it great for the Bloodline story? Of course.

Roman is close to beating Hulk’s “reign” as I’ve mentioned. My brother does not want this to happen. He was a huge Hulkamaniac. It would be more near SummerSlam if it did so if The Rock takes the title, what then? He’s on the BOE so he can maybe help Triple H with creative, ha! It would be great to see DJ back in action now that he is more part of the business end and he has the family legacy just like Roman. A brief run is what I’d like as I’m sure more movies will be calling his name. It would be that huge revenue WWE can do to make Mania 40 but we shall wait and see. Wait and see…..

All those guys with The Rock as their monikers lived or have lived up to being solid. Solid in word, solid in action. However you define it but it worked for them with the ways they needed and still is for one. Let’s just not have any more “kings” shall we? 👑😐😬

P.S. Also- most recently came THIS news. Unless you’ve been living under a rock- pun intended- you know…

***For the first time in over 50 years no McMahon will be involved in WWE. Vince’s resignation (once again) stemmed from more recent graphic allegations. All before WrestleMania 40. *** SIGH**As he always said though : “the show must go on.” Will he be back once again? I’m finally thinking NO… This hit me in a different way as I cried for many various reasons… 😞💔

Warrior Winter Weather ❄️

Yep, it’s THAT kind of weather here in Ohio as snow covers my bright green grass. It is melting though! Last week was quite yucky as no school for kiddos for a few days plus bitter, arctic COLD… 🥶 Anyone reading in a warm climate now? Oh, how I envy you. Stirring at this blank, white paper matches the color outside as my mind freezes up too. I was stumped for what to write as once again, no notes! While mentioning this to my daughter in the room, she said to write about the snow. Isn’t that cute? Not really as I tried to explain to her how I like to connect these posts with well~~~ you all know who but I never finished that statement and she thought I meant our family. Little does she know they are the topic at times 🤭 but that man ⬇️ has to be “roped” or tied in. Notice his one left arm tie says “Dingo” although the D is hidden. I guess he still wore those later on.

So, besides this winter weather equating what Warrior had in Indiana growing up, not similar unless you count in his brief time in NY. He moved to warmer states as I would love to someday. Maybe even some of you readers are having summer now instead of winter based, on where you live., Ah, the outdoors… Being inside much more of the time requires a very different attitude to get out of the gray doldrums. It is extremely hard at times as I suffer from a certain seasonal disorder. Yes, it’s a real thing. We do have a sauna and even though I set it to 130°, I still sweat very little. See I’d fit right in with a warmer climate, but not over 100° every day 🥵. I remember when telling that to my PT and he joked saying how I must be cold blooded! 😜

What are some indoor activities you all enjoy when not able to be outside much? I’m not talking about chores or errands we all must do but what leisure hobbies or interests are given more time being inside? I have my work out and yoga but lately I’ve tried to challenge myself more with different YouTube videos and ab work. I even have attended yoga at a studio once a month for a year now. I will go on occasion, but not that often. It’s been a great goal. Of course, I have my writing or journaling and I totally forgot a high school friend I used to write letters to. 📃 Found those also in the attic memories. I remember writing to my cousin, but not as many years with a friend. Gosh, those letters went on more than I thought. I also have my meditation, but some new ones caught my eye as some got sent in my direction. Yes, I do those daily but I vary the methods.

How about creating some new recipes or eating healthier? Usually folks try that more in the summer but we need to “gear” up for swimsuit season now, right? With all this cold weather, I’ve been known to take more naps. Guess I need them but really I just wanted to snuggle under covers. Then, the dozing starts😴 when I least expect it to. During the bitter FRIGID spell, I crawled under my bedroom comforter late afternoon before starting dinner several days ago. I was in between drifting and being lucid when hearing this message: “the heart is the center of emotion.” Wow… This I do know of course but what a beautiful thought to be reminded of on that cold day. I’ll have to jot it down in my journal. No images but just a voice guiding my anxiety. ❤️

Another issue here is one that connects to this post. Sometimes in spite of the outside external world and perhaps snowy winter weather, I dislike~~~ not everything has to be thought out or planned. I do try to release that every day in meditation as sometimes the overthinking takes over. So, possibly today’s writings are just that. No BIG idea or huge connector. Some days, there isn’t news but just me and what is. Maybe we all need to be that way from time to time. There will always be those situations when we do need to plan or schedule, especially with kids but even those events can get snowballed.

Well warriors, we can’t control what the weather gods throw our way, but it’s all in how we respond. Just stay safe and warm wherever you are. I focus on my sunset images from last year’s calendar as a pre-write these words. 🌄 It feels me with hope this too will pass…. Do that inside cleaning when home, binge watch a favorite shows we are currently viewing “Young Sheldon,” or just dance to some music! Beat those winter weather blues in whatever way you can. I got my daughter the game of “Taboo” for Christmas. It’s a classic and I always wanted it, so much fun. I frequently think of that scene in the movie “Four Christmases.” Another classic.

Don’t let Mr. or Ms. Resistance get you down. If you want, go build a snowman. ☃️ That’s not for me nor shoveling, but some things we must do. We need to enjoy the moment and bring some peace of mind to our being. I will go tubing though, so maybe that will be at the top of our “card” this season. I’ll take a 🔥 in the lodge any day, ha ha! Don’t over plan and remember to let love in your heart, even with the winter weather frustrations. I’ll remember this too. Bring me some color Mother Nature! At least I have the Ultimate Warrior with his colorful gear. ☺️

P.S. Look at this time as hibernation. The Bears do. 🐻The Universe wants you to slow down and be more gentle with yourself. …

To Be Courteous 😬🫵🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

This will be a venting post of sorts today, but I just feel like I need to get it off my chest and release. I’ve had so many encounters lately with certain types of situations and the lack of COURTESY amazes me. Some are ongoing but most scenarios occurred recently as I am caught off guard with how to respond. Yes, people need to be accepted but sometimes~ OOF, we need to speak up. I’m not “clotheslining” everyone but just trying to implement more respect and kindness we all deserve.

Where have courtesies gone? I remember Warrior recalling when he and Sting were first tag team partners and that they ” were good hearted guys, we had good manners.Maybe much of that does depend on how one was raised for sure but later in life to me, it’s just common sense and good thinking. I have mentioned principles (always a factor with me…) and chivalry, but today is just about every day “niceties” that we seem to have forgotten. In this global ever changing world, we teach kids those kind words of graciousness but then as adults, become too bothered to respond. Maybe I’m too “old school” on this but it’s still important, right? Everyone is “BUSY.” That’s like saying you breathed today. 🤨It’s all priorities…

I remember handwriting thank you notes after our wedding. Nowadays, most seem to get a “one size fits all” collective thank you without any personal touch at all. I find this sad but perhaps there is little concern of those writing “snail mail” 🐌 anymore. Let me tell you this though. I am sending out those graduation invites for my daughter just like I did with my son plus party invites and she WILL be writing thank yous. To me, it’s the right thing to do as an acknowledgment to a recipient~~~ a courtesy that takes little time. That 30 minutes you spend on your phone looking at social sites can be spent addressing those much deserved thank yous. It’s not so much the societal expectation as few abide by those etiquettes anymore as it is proper to do like saying, “thank you” or “you’re welcome.” Others can disagree but my heart will always feel this way. Sure, you can visit, call, or even text if convenient but sometimes other work needs to be done.

Warrior wanted always to PERSONALLY thank fans whether it was in person with a handshake, hug, or answering emails. It can seem daunting but there are those of us who feel it necessary although sometimes you might not get any reciprocation. When someone visits your home, you thank them for coming, true? The reverse applies when leaving as you thank the host. We know this and yet forget or just bypass it all together. I know I am also guilty of this if it is somewhere I didn’t want to go or with people I didn’t really want to see. We should still use a courtesy, as I put my feelings aside in those circumstances to do so. We should as well let another know important details like if you will be running late, bringing a guest, etc. We shouldn’t just show up unexpectedly without notice or assuming it’s OK. Sure, there will be enough for one more most likely but we need to physically use our WORDS warriors. That’s just being courteous.

Just because we are close to someone or by association, doesn’t mean we “help ourselves” to their personal space. Create a healthy boundary and don’t be afraid to let others know. It isn’t about being too guarded to invite another, but they need to realize limits without wearing out that welcome mat.

I have noticed with many people that if you give an inch, they take a mile and not in a good way. This means others might take advantage if given the opportunity you have bestowed upon them. My lesson learned is to refrain from overcompensating just to please and if it brings discord, so be it. What others think of you is none of your business, remember that. Warrior certainly did as he proved along his life journey. There are those who say he did not abide much by way of “wrestling courtesies” through the years and maybe he does regret that now. He does know all that and more in spirit but we need these experiences to grow. It may not be as groups, society, or families want but our gut tells us otherwise and it’s always a choice.

Here’s a quote I retweeted on Twitter last week: ” The simple truth… We all just want to be accepted, respected, appreciated, heard, and loved.” It’s by Samantha Woodbeck. Isn’t that the truth though? I will add to that by saying: ” for who we ARE.” Not trying to change or even judge but just letting it BE. Yes, I know it’s important to speak up in some situations but the reality is- people don’t change, they evolve. We can question behavior but they will still be them as we will be us- regardless. Like my one sister recently told me: ” you know I’m a snoop.” I used to be in some ways and even though she was honest, may never conform to a new thinking. I did correct her on a few topics but then later on realized despite her being a grown adult, that part of her forgetting courtesies will still be there unless SHE takes action to rectify it.

I think that photo of the Ultimate Warrior below fits as I had planned using another one (very typical… ) His face shows what I’ve been feeling lately! We need to pick our battles indeed and some wars (even on courtesy) may never be fully won. Just continue being YOU with right minded intentions, while others do them. They have their life to live but you can do better as it’s always a learning process every day. Let’s not just RSVP to certain invites but do all of life in a respectful courteous way. I even get reminder texts for appointments. That’s nice too. My vet still sends reminder postcards in the mail! 🐶🐱📭

P.S. Warrior also mentioned being courteous to the veterans in his early WWF days. Despite their verbal attacks, he still responded positively to them. I bet that was a smaller ultimate challenge back then!

P.P.S. I have a correction to make. Meditation began for me 9 years ago, not 8. Just like yoga did for me. Both in late 2015… Math is not my thing. 😜🤷🏻‍♀️🧘‍♀️🪷Boy, the numbers this year though with SO much coming…

Turn the Page 📖💚💜

Yes, OK warriors~~~ I DID sing the Bob Seger song in my head when today’s title came to me but it kind of fits for a New Year, don’t you think? We have to keep turning the pages of our “book” because that’s what life is all about. Some of us even have to rewrite an entirely new one over time but one chapter always leads into the next. Don’t panic, this isn’t another post on a book for all of you still absorbing last week’s. No, no, no. This one is a culmination of sorts with all that will be happening in my life during 2024 plus some other wrestling dates mixed in. Oh, and then there’s THIS… My husband and I were walking into Costco’s the other day and “Turn the Page” was playing on the speaker! I have never paid attention to see if music is played in there. I can’t make this stuff up… 😮🤭

This time of year always fills me with nostalgia, as I reflect on those bigger signs which started much on this warrior journey for me. I just celebrated 8️⃣ years of meditation in late December. Not a milestone, but it certainly culminated in bringing forth the DREAMS that began in 2016 and continue today. I often find myself rereading those passages from my book, “Spirit and Belief.I had little signs after Warrior passed (which most of you know) but January 2016 brought a year full of ultimate surprises. Let’s stay within a timeframe if I can here. I read on a few social sites how Jimmy Hart just turned 80! How has he not aged? I wish him so much happiness in that new decade he is beginning. Both of my parents will be joining Jimmy with that age this year. Those are ***BIG*** milestones indeed. 🎉

It will be 10 years in a few days on the 13th since it was announced that the Ultimate Warrior would be part of the 2014 WWE HOF class. (see pic ⬇️) His other dates are coming but I’m not getting into those today. Staying in January, we have the Royal Rumble coming soon. I pay little attention but know enough as previously stated. I just remember years past in the WWF days but CRINGE 😬 moment for 1991. Ah well, then we wouldn’t have had that great match at WMVII between Ultimate Warrior and “Macho King” Randy Savage. Speaking of which, WrestleMania will be turning 40 this year so that is another HUGE event. There’s so many possibilities as fans look to Roman Reigns maybe beating Hulk Hogan’s “reign” as champ soon. I’m thinking that will be around SummerSlam but you never know. Hulkamania also turned 40. I’m feeling old now…… 😳 This year is crazy and it isn’t even halfway through yet. Another sidenote here is (and I’ve done this before) but anything that happened in 1989 was 35 years ago this year. You can think of your life and not just my wrestling dates. This time in 1989 I was a junior in high school! Some of you readers might not have even been born… Of course I am biased to SummerSlam that year when U.W. got back the I.C. Belt from Ravishing Rick Rude. 35 years ago in August. My, oh my.

I’m mixing up the year now so all the pages turned are out of order but wanted to touch on some WWE events first. My family year is another busy one for sure. My son will no longer be a teen in March and my daughter will turn 18 in May. She will graduate high school and begin college in the fall. 🥺Time really does make us turn the page whether we want to or not just like reading a book. I’m reading another goodie, but no mention on here this time…

By November, my husband and I will have known each other 25 years. We met on a blind date and I had to do the math to remember that one but it’s coming. There will be 2️⃣ weddings in my family also. My brother’s second along with one of his daughters, (my niece.) No dates on those but both will be this year. Think I need to catch my breath for a few moments. 😮

Do any of you have a big year with events coming up in 2024? We all do but sometimes it’s nice to have them spread out more, right? Whatever comes your way~ just gear up and be the warrior you need to be. It does make the year go fast when we have much going on but life needs to keep moving. I just don’t want it running by as fast as the Ultimate Warrior did to the ring! Emotional times need to be cherished and I so hope despite my crazy year, I will have those moments to just *BE* which I need to do. Reflections are nice, and we need to pause through them if we can but just don’t buy a ticket to the arena of your past.

I do have the lyrics to “Turn the Page” in front of me as Metallica also recorded that song after Bob Seger years later. If there were others, I’m not sure but I do hear it sometimes during my workout. We are all up on that stage, (wait…that was another dream…) playing star again on the pages of our lives. We might not be in the spotlight like Ultimate Warrior and wrestlers were or are, but we all use every ounce of energy to perform as characters in books written by ourselves.

From January to December~ , it’s a brand new year filled with ups, downs, joys, and sorrows, but live it well instead of just going through the motions. Challenge yourself, even in adversity. Set new goals. Become a new YOU in various ways. You might not have the huge events coming like me but this year of 2024 will never happen again so make it count. It adds up to 8️⃣ so if you’re into it spiritually~~~ all positivity for sure. It is infinity sideways so take that as you will. Turn the page always warriors even though it might be hard. Life is about choices but like I said last week- “It’s your Soul’s chance to be HERE.” … That’s worth repeating. Look back in December and say “I turned the page and truly LIVED this year.” 🤍

P.S. Don’t get me started on a BIG milestone of a certain WM next year!

P.P.S. I DID find my elf pic and Diana doll in the attic cleaning for those wanting to know! Read that post a few weeks back… 🥰

Believing is Feeling… 🥹✨🤍

It is 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ warriors🥳🎇! Oh wow, the New Year is here whether we were ready or not. It’s always creeping up on me and will be another busy one. So many dates but those are all coming soon and if you read often, you’ll share in them all with me. I do hope your holidays went well and that you got that R and R I mentioned. We all need it and are worthy of downtime. We are worthy~~~ always remember that warriors. I’ve written this post a few times now. I think I’ve only done that once before… Before getting into the depth of this post today, I would like to THANK all of you who’ve been reading during these past few weeks that I have been gone. The numbers have completely been off the charts!!!I do know, however that some of those numbers are related to the release of “The Iron Claw” movie about the Von Erich Family. I know this because my post “Family Business Banter” got *TONS* of views, more so than it had ever in the past. I used a pic of U.W. and Kerry… I’m overwhelmed as usual, but I thank you all for reading as I did go back and reread that post recently. I hope to see the movie but I just don’t know…..

I told you I’d talk about a book but it’s more than just me sharing my recent reading material. I haven’t mentioned books on here lately and there hasn’t been one that impacted me as much as this one has. I’m not going to recommend reading to all of you as the title and author won’t be shared, but I’m going to get a little DEEP into it. Believing is feeling or is it the opposite? It’s like the expression of “seeing is believing” or vice versa. Today’s title came to me after reading this book’s extremely profound text that had been on my list for years. Warrior had said to read real SH*T and I do! OK, I loved my summer romance novels as we all need a break from the “thinking mode” to get into the “feeling mode” but this book did both for me in a different way.

Several years ago, I had heard of this somewhat controversial book and put it on a reading list but then forgot about it until recently. I never completely put it out of my mind but it just wasn’t my title match. It wasn’t until the author was a guest on a podcast I listen to often that it came back into being for me. The topic is spiritual, but NOT religious and NOT on psychic gifts either. It’s historical and connected to my past in many ways. It concerns a relationship that has been talked about in like-minded groups for centuries now. I was brought up thinking about these folks a certain way and yet there were always questions surrounding them throughout history. A *HUGE* question looms as I too wanted an answer and thought someone, somehow would have one. Despite researchers efforts, they like us will never fully know the true nature of that connection between those celebrated individuals. There are many books on this subject out there for sure. It’s not like “The X-Files”, nope~~~ nothing at all but more about peoples roles in our taught history.

I believe another reason it became a topic of controversy was because the author incorporated many of her own personal stories into the text. People didn’t respond well to that and thought instead she should’ve stuck to more history, facts, logic, and science. Boy, that made me love her book even MORE! Yes, of course we need all the proof if we can find it but there are other ideas that will never fully get proved and that’s how life goes. We can question, research, and probe all we want as that is our journey but if we had all the answers to all the mysteries, we wouldn’t be fully human, would we? She interpreted these historical documents in the way that worked for HER and not necessarily how it might work for others. That’s how it needs to be for all of us. We might agree and then we might not. It’s all about how and why we believe the way we do. I can identify so much with the work in this book as questions will always abound. Fans of Ultimate Warrior, (including myself) will always have our questions too about his final days. Let’s feel and believe in the good…

The truth is, we NEED stories and that’s why I share mine. Sure, I would love to know the BIG answer to that debatable question “wrestled” by historians as much is common knowledge but the truth is, we may never know and need to be fine with it just like other questions.

The people written about in this revealing story lived over a millennia ago and yet even now, their connectedness and closeness remains a burning topic. ❤️‍🔥 Even if those interested would know the real truth, does it really matter? Maybe to some, but it wouldn’t change the trajectory of history all that much. It would just validate what many already thought to be true. This author went to places in history while researching her version of the story but never came up with the answers many wanted. History is a mystery, but what does your *** GUT*** tell you? Interpret all the facts received and then feel them warriors.

So, to back up a bit on all this… I had called my library and they had two copies but both were out so it became a waiting game. After a few weeks, I called again being the impatient one I am. It was getting closer to holiday time and I really didn’t want to get into such deep language with the craziness of shopping, decorating, etc. and all that starting up. 😬 Time was ticking and I felt rushed, ugh… That was very typical of me to feel I won’t have time and then I always do. Still no book and I had other agendas on my mind then. I forgot about it for a few days and then the library contacted me— it was in, a month later. Just when I had almost decided to cancel and wait until after New Year’s. I’m so glad I didn’t.

It was the perfect book for me to read despite all that was happening externally. We need the quiet and stillness too warriors and we need it alone. The LOVE and SPIRIT contained in that little red book 📕 gave me such PAUSE with tears 🥲 as I totally GOT IT unlike some other biographers of late. It explored so much of my journey in a unique profound aspect involving others I had only heard about throughout my life, but never fully knew. This author needed to capture the essence of those two main characters by relating her own experiences because it’s more personal that way. If my blog was always just rhetoric or a bio on Warrior, I wouldn’t like it or enjoy writing at all. Some of you might prefer all the logistics of wrestling, just like other readers would prefer more specifics in Ms. Author’s book. We are all entitled to be our own selves but again, it’s about the feelings that help us to remember to believe. We are not learning for the first time warriors, we are remembering. It’s complicated~~~ I know, but without personal reflections, we can never share and say “Yes, I’ve been there too and feel the same” or something similar.

She mentions about how being human isn’t a failure since many think it has to be such a struggle all the time. It’s really the Soul’s chance to be HERE. Wow. Let that absorb for a moment. Yes~~~ that sounds a bit much for most of you but if you know the story, it would make sense. We may not be understood by others because of how we feel and it can create distance. Some might be jealous (Warrior knew this,) since a few are “privileged” to know or understand in a way others can’t. Hand raised here. 🙋🏻‍♀️This relates so much to me which I cannot fully express to you, but it’s true. 🫢 We believe because we feel and feel because we believe no matter who or what it is. I needed this book during the holidays and wrote down more passages in my journal. I have the answer to MY BIG question and have for years but critics of this book will not have theirs answered. What is true in your heart without logic? Do you feel it? That’s the true human experience. Be your own warrior and go inward to discover your realness…

P.S. Heal in ways your soul needs. Start now and keep going into this new year. Books, movies, music, genuine connections, and anything else that inspires you. Do good SH*T and believe what you feel every day. I only thought it fitting to use a collage of Warrior for this one. Oh, and the word warrior is mentioned several times. Every book I read, it seems. ❤️‍🩹

Year of Reflection… 🎄🤍🎅🏼

Well~~~ warriors, I decided to end this year’s posts of 2023 the same way I started~~~ with a selfie. The entire month of January was me without any ultimate or Warrior pics so as I break for holiday time, you get to see me again. 😉 I thought it only fitting to end wearing an elf hat as I made one for U. W. last week, ha ha! I seem to recall doing this years back with Santa hats too…… How can I sum up this year?

I will start with the ***DREAMS*** because that’s kinda what I’ve been doing and one was right in the beginning of this year. I mentioned a cousin of mine passing away suddenly back in January and within a few days, Warrior was in this beach house dream. I never fully shared all the details and won’t, but it was so comforting at the time. It wasn’t anything about my cousin at all but just beautiful timing with a peaceful setting. 🥹🌊 He did speak some words to me and I believe we went outside for a walk on the beach…. A few others I will *NOT * share concern his girls, but they were trusting and endearing enough for me. Yeah, those 2️⃣ words work well with the 2️⃣ dreams concerning them. All 3️⃣ of his Warrior Girls have December birthdays. I cannot believe his daughters are in their 20s now.

So, let’s reflect on ones I HAVE shared. There was Watching Warrior’s Stage, The Wandering Tent, Loosen Your Grip ( held in a park back in 1992,) a snake bio ( as part of another one,) and the House/ Tree/ Crystal one… A few others were snuck in, but those have all been told. Feel free to read on your own. I’m always filled with many emotions over each and every one while marveling at how dreamland, our subconscious, and the Universe works. All for divine purposes and orchestrated just for me. 💙🥱😴

Next up was a biggie that filled most of this year in photos. I finally had bought the “Always Believe” DVD. My review of that has been written along with the frustration of not seeing all the additional bonus stuff at the end. I won’t get into all that again. I’m so glad to have seen additional content after all these years that I was finally ready for. I love listening to Warrior share HIS views on his wrestling career, but Disc 1 I rarely watch as much as 2 and 3 , which are matches and promos with some HOF footage. I LOVE all the promos leading up to WMVII with “Macho King” Randy Savage. These are my favorites. I am a little biased, but I have a right to be. I can’t forget “Amanda Ultimate Warrior.” Oh my yes. Amanda was one of the names written down as possibilities in my daughter’s baby book. I always liked it. My girl does have a good friend name Mandy….. I also am not sad in the way I once was, including February when I finally had it in my hands. Sure, I have my moments but like I have said many times, it’s an ebb and flow. It’s that way with us all about anybody really. The “ Grown-ups” movie though? It surprised me if you recall that mention of a few posts ago.

The next topic that brought a post, but also more with WWE was the *** HUGE*** sale and merger involving Endeavor. I still was shocked to see the end of an era with the McMahons as my title indicated. It brought up so much for me and like I said, why do I care? It’s just emotional attachment but fans of yesteryear have that and we always will. More talent and employees have been let go but some talent has been brought back. It’s always interesting for sure and lately, WWE has been on top of the game. I hope it still thrives as fans remain entertained on the edge of their seats.

This is my 350th post. It’s mind blowing and yet to some, no big deal. It’s a tremendous deal to me along with reaching seven 7️⃣ years this past October. Thank you doesn’t seem “wordy” enough to all you loyal and faithful TRUE readers, but I thank Warrior too. He is my tagteam partner in all this along with the Universe too vast to understand. I understand more than I did over 350 posts ago, MUCH MORE. I’ll have to come up with a cool tag team name for us, why didn’t I think of this sooner? I am NOT wearing red and yellow, though, that’s for sure! Seriously though, I enjoy you all who actually take time and read, which is more on my list in 2024. You’ll hear later about a 📕 in January but for now, let’s remember some other goodies.

There was a friend who read “cards” for me and then picked up on a commonality we share spiritually. She could sense Warrior’s humor without me sharing anything.. 🤭 Awww… 🫶🏻 What a great moment for me and I’m so glad I saw her even though she had no idea I’d be there at that event. I got a little aww as well from another post as never did I think to write about “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and compare a little of his life to Warrior’s . That was such a compelling and interesting bio and I’m so glad I watched. Who would’ve thought I would write my own story, but I did on them both so it stuck out to me as a different post for sure. I found myself looking through old posts as titles intrigued me. “The Space to Be.” Oh my goodness…. Plus, “We are Never Done.” Boy, those were doozies. Here’s another: “No, I am not CRAZY!” That explored my basement workout antics when I’ve received an emotion or wanting to relate to Warrior’s many signs through music especially. And, another topic that’s a constant is my white brick wall in the basement with those messages or questions I “write.” I look to it every time. (Hint, pic below…) You still might think I’m crazy but I got you here reading so it’s all up to you to believe or not. I haven’t the need to defend anymore. All of my meditations and convos I say to Warrior daily (or pretty much) have been blogged too so content is out there if you care to remember or explore.

I could list so many others, but think I’ll stop at those. Who knows what else will come my way with year 8️⃣ now a few months in. Several milestones of Warrior’s life AND my own will all be upcoming as once again, numbers are so reflective. I also do my own family year in review as I reflect on everything of these past 12 months. Do you find yourself doing that too as perhaps New Year’s approaches? I physically look at my calendar with events listed as family connectedness abounds. We take it all~~~ good, bad, and everything in between. I hope you hang with me and feel something in your heart with these writings. Even if you giggle, you feel it. If you don’t believe, that’s OK too as I have validation and this I will always trust in along with my intuition. The mind can learn, but the heart knows. Remember that. 💕

Enjoy the rest of this December warriors and have fun with however you celebrate. Get some R&R and do something for YOU. I’ll end with a quote about this time of year: “ Always remember, taking care of yourself doesn’t mean me first. It means me too.” *** Be reflective while staying present. Your presence is more important than any 🎁 given or received. Until 2024, keep reading. ~~~ Kathy.

P.S.Tomorrow on “80’s wrestling the podcast” they will be talking about shocking moments in wrestling history. Oh boy, that’s a huge topic. You fans of Ultimate Warrior—- think here—- 🤦🏻‍♀️what do you think I would call in about? Yup, I plan to so listen if you can at 10 AM, EST! 😬🫣

The Christmas Parties 🎄🎅🏼

Ho -ho-ho everybody! It’s December warriors so get your Holiday gear on and prepare to celebrate all the festivities! The Ultimate Warrior Elf down below seems intimidating (I know…) but only presents are given if you’re good, right? You might get that lump of coal in your stocking if you cross Warrior Elf… 😬 Creating that outfit was so time-consuming to me, I’m sure Warrior himself was laughing. 🤣 I had made a few. No, it’s not perfect but who truly is? It was super spontaneous so maybe I need more of that. We need the silly! 🤪

I had to get that elf outfit similar to one I wore years ago. More on that soon. This post is a 3 count as it continues on of my attic stuff AND gifts received of last week. This idea kept coming in my head but had to fit Warrior in which was quite the ULTIMATE challenge for me. The elf outfit isn’t the only connector….. Some of you may recall the mention of my Dad working at NASA for 50 years. One of the many highlights was the annual Christmas parties that took place every year, usually the 1st Saturday in December. My entire family would go and what fun we had. Dad always helped plan in some fashion and even took over the play once his friend retired. There were costume characters, a lunch, the play, and of course~ everyone’s favorite, the Santa line.

My sister and I were made up to be Raggedy Ann and Andy one year. Kids today probably don’t even know who they were. 🫤 Very hard just smiling and nodding without words all day. She even continued with friends being Bert and Ernie of Sesame Street. Us kids couldn’t be the BIG characters with those gigantic heads walking around. So many cherished memories as I believe that party tradition has been discontinued. 😞It was amazing though. I can still taste the McDonald’s orange drink along with the ice cream getting scooped by that tiny wooden spoon. Not to mention the strobe lights always being part of the show. My mom hated those! 😵‍💫

The toy chute was the BEST part. No, it wasn’t quite like “A Christmas Story” with Ralphie getting Santa’s boot, but kinda similar. Just like Warrior Elf below isn’t dressed like “Buddy” but still both elves, at least Warrior *** IS*** for this post. The toys kids got were incredible and not just some cheap little trinkets. NASA really went all out. One year, this giant doll came down the chute for me. Each paper had girl or boy along with your age written on it. She was beautiful with long blonde hair, a gingham dress and matching hat. Once I get to THAT box in the attic, I know she’ll be found. I loved her right away and named her Diana missing the IN in front, (just kidding…!) Elizabeth. Some might get that ‘lil tidbit, haha… Princess Diana always fascinated me so I had my own little piece of the Royal family.

I’ve had countless other gifts over the years that meant so much like I’ve written, but decided to share her story today. I also know (and here’s the other small connector) how Warrior loved when he got his very own wrestling buddy doll. Multiple people have mentioned this and no, my doll didn’t mean I achieved stardom like him BUT I treasured her as he did his buddy. I’m sure you all have presents that you can still remember loving and maybe they weren’t even from your childhood. Did you read about “Braveheart” last week? See, that wasn’t from my youth at all.

Let’s get to the elf part of the story. When I was Raggedy Andy, all I could think about was being one of those very special elves helping Santa and the kids. The woman in charge was a dear friend of my Dad’s, but if I recall correctly, you had to be at least 16. Why? I don’t really know but that year I was only 15. Guess I took a year off because at 17, I was ready! My senior year was the BEST ! April 1 especially (hint look below, ⬇️) but this was only December. I was so excited after watching those elves for years and now it was my turn. Forget the characters, I was a Christmas elf. I had my green tunic with red trim, matching hat, (like Diana), and those pointy elf slippers. I even had my photo taken with “Snow White.” That photo is also probably in the attic yet to be found.

It was a busy day as no sister that year but I stayed to clean up and eat dinner with my Dad. My dream came true of all those years being at the many Christmas parties NASA held for countless families. Now, I want to go find that photo and Diana. 🥹 I’ll keep everyone updated…… Warrior had watched and practiced with so many Superstars and then finally got his big break in the business. His years eclipsed mine but again, it’s the emotion and determination we had. You might have similar stories of achieving a goal, dream, or even holiday wish. My teaching career began as an aide, and the thrill of having my own classroom finally made me so happy. I had made it (in a way) just like the Ultimate Warrior graced his “classrooms” or arenas for all those years.

Enjoy this time of family, friends, and fun, but don’t forget to take time and BREATHE… I’ll be here for one more post until my holiday break. That one is getting to be the “year in review” so I’ll have to do some reflecting. You might not have a doll, elf, or anything like mine, but look to those holiday memories and what genuinely stands out for you while creating the new. Unwrap those boxes in your heart just a little to bring the Christmas magic back in.

😇🎁❤️💚🤍

P.S. Be a little spontaneous too. You never know what you might do. Mine was the Warrior Elf, but be playful and you’ll find yours. 🎉🫵🏻🤭

Be a Brave heart 🤍💙🗡️

It probably already has been THAT time of year again for many of you, but those holiday moments of December are upon us. It is the season of giving, but we all know it is also the season of getting. You can define that anyway you wish but COME ON~~~ we want stuff as gifts from others but perhaps not in the same way when younger. I really don’t ask for gifts at all much these days although there are always a few items catching my eye. 😉 It’s just too much for me and if I want something for myself, I get it without asking. That’s just how I am. I wrote many years back on my other blog “Spirit and Belief” all about this so give me a gift card, that’ll be fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Birthdays are different celebrations in my mind so I’ll just let that be. Santa 🎅🏼 is magical (for those who BELIEVE in the spirit) as I do but I have gotten away from many materialistic approaches. Grandchildren someday will be quite another story I’m sure. 🥰

So, what about being a brave heart like my title above? Yes, you might notice the photo below with the Ultimate Warrior alongside my old VHS tape of the movie “Braveheart” and its matching cassette. Yep, ALL I wanted in that year of 1995 was the movie. The tape was a bonus. Of course I wasn’t a little kid then but boy, did I feel like one with the possible anticipation. I can’t even remember what else I asked for because really, I was 23! I’m not a big “I WANT…” person. Even the lists were small as a kid. My few things are treasures without a lot of collecting. OK, now I have many crystals, but it’s not overwhelming! Back to the story at hand….

A few months or maybe just a month leading up to Christmas that year, I would leave clues for my mom. I would also *** BLAST*** “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey. And yes, I have that CD now as well. I can sing it pretty well but just not as high of an octave with her powerful range! I sang that song just like I prepped years later when voicing the Canadian national anthem of “Oh Canada” as those NBA Toronto Raptors won the title in 2019 from the (ahem— ) Golden State Warriors. That was another post as I digress… Mariah and I were singing a duet as I kind of hoped the message was well received. 🙏🏻🤞🏻 I do remember wanting and then getting many desired gifts as a child and so that Christmas morning of 1995 felt like it did years prior. I laugh now but yes, it’s ALL me. That’s how I am. That movie is so sad in many ways but I also was a big Mel Gibson fan then. So, there ya go~~~ a little more on that other reasoning. No, as I’ve stated before I did NOT just like that movie because of the face paint or how I found out years later Warrior loved it too.

I’m not surprised he loved it because of the principle of fighting for freedom and defending a cause like previously mentioned. Back in 1995, I wasn’t even following Warrior but had heard about some passionate movies of his over the years. I can’t forget the beautiful yet haunting Scottish music either. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎼 Unlike my attic post of last week regarding donating items, this VHS tape and cassette of “Braveheart” gives me reason to wait. I don’t have it on DVD and yet it remains. I had remembered some other items stored in the basement in our old entertainment unit drawer. I’m sure others still have a VCR right? Guess I’m still a brave heart fighting for that movie. I loved it all those years ago and still do. It’s kind of the same for Warrior. Again, not the concrete idea but the emotion. Different reasons but STILL brave hearts to the core. 🥹

I’m also reminded of another movie. Not to worry as it’s a holiday classic AND a cartoon. One of my faves is “A Charlie Brown Christmas” but not necessarily for the religious aspect. I love how it was brought into a cartoon but I’ve mentioned that years ago. I compared this Peanuts classic to WMVI as I can quote both quite well! 😁 I would always joke with my brother as we imitated Linus and his “speech” about the real meaning of the holiday. I have us on tape to prove it but again~~~ a cassette, UGH! Those fun times of him with his first mini boombox. Once we bought blank tapes, watch out! Our jokes and stories were crazy but I would still laugh every single time. 🤣😂 Like Sally says: “I’ve been looking for you big brother!” “All I want is what I have coming to me. All I want is my fair share!” She just wanted money in the end but yes Sally that works too. 💵

Did any of you make those Christmas lists as a kid? I did but like before it was brief and never even filled a page. Remember a few years back how I wrote about the catalogs received in the mail? Yes, the good old days but as years went on, I did still write things down. Nowadays, kids might take screenshots or text messages like mine do.. . I’m still old-school like many know but will accept others ways. Make your list count warriors if you choose to create one. You still might not get exactly what you want but maybe one day you will. If you don’t, it wasn’t meant to be.

Be a brave heart with how you approach this upcoming season. You can give but don’t always expect to GET. If it doesn’t work, don’t let your feelings get too “gutted”. We shouldn’t be losing our lives over this crazy time like William Wallace fighting for freedom. You can sing like Mariah all you want, but it might not be as appreciated by others. Your “fair share” as Sally put it could be something even greater than a concrete gift. Look for the deeper gifts. That will be the only brave heart you will ever need. ❤️‍🩹

P.S. I was never a “Scrooge.” I was always a brave heart for years finding that PERFECT gift for someone. I had to release expectation. I don’t miss the stress. You will KNOW those worthy of actual gifts and those who just expect them. ❤️💚🛍️🎁

The Things We Keep 🥹💙🫶🏻

*** Before beginning the post today, just a little sidenote here. I’m sure most of you have heard of the movie “Grownups” as I have not fully referenced a movie since years ago when talking about “Daddy’s Home.” It is one of our favorites and was on the other night. I decided to watch. I guess I must’ve been having an emotional time because there were a few references that I had never noticed before, and they got to me. You may not even notice or even fully care, but I did. Here’s the list:

~ UCONN Sweatshirt

~ KFC bucket of chicken ( a dream…)

~ Physiology book

~ The character of Wiley

***I am not explaining all these but boy, did I have some moments… It was a 4 count, not a 3 but they do connect to Warrior. Oh, and the sequel has a big 80’s themed party at the end. The Hulk Hogan lady look alike- oh my… I will keep 3 out of those 4 above…😑🤍

If you look below, ( for some reason it did not let me post the pic but I posted it separately today, ugh…) you’ll see a banner with graphics depicting The Ultimate Warrior. I happen to see it up close on one of my DVDs and thought to keep it for a future blog post. I wonder if fans back then or even today keep those kinds of things. Maybe they sell or even give away but it does depend on its sentiment for sure. I’ve mentioned collectibles before but for this one, it’s a little different.

Lately, I’ve been cleaning out our attic. Well, it’s been ongoing for a while but this past month is when I’ve really gotten into it much more. I know I could make tons of money with tons of stuff over the years like clothes, toys, games, books, and on and on but that’s just a hassle. I donate because it suits me. We will be moving within a few years, so it’s time to declutter A LOT. My kids entire lives seem to be up there and I had turned it into a playroom when they were younger. I used to always be a huge pack rat but then with some small spaces, it’s subsided. if you have children, you become that pack rat once again. Yes, much will be kept but I cannot keep every toy or game we have ever owned despite my daughter’s objection. I want children to play with those items now, and not the future of waiting on grandkids. OK, yes, I definitely have much on my keepers list but others do no good sitting around collecting dust.

I am making headway but man, it’s a lot of busy work. I have to put it aside soon for holiday decorating, shopping, and all that but there’s a dent in the stuff. I do know what to keep but much is getting tossed or donated. I cannot imagine Dana years ago when going through Warrior’s massive amount of belongings as I know he kept much. I even got emotional looking at old teaching materials. I just recently donated them to a daycare. Laughter came to at old photographs and all the WRITING I did on the silliest things. They weren’t silly to me then but I kept track for sure. There’s that organized Virgo in me. I wrote down checks I received over many years with dates, kids names in all my classes taught, info for backs of photos, etc. The list goes on. See, even a writer then. Packing it all up is hard but something I must do. Some items are easy to decide upon (like baby books to keep!) while others not so much. Decluttering does free us though and makes SPACE. We don’t always need to fill that space again though.

I used to think that in all aspects, including deep stuff~ you know, like feelings. I won’t get too mushy but remember how we aren’t replacements even though we try hard to be. The Ultimate Warrior was NOT Hulk Hogan’s replacement (in a way) as I’ve said before although it is debatable. That post has been written as I can be objective. What I mean is how often times we are looking to fill a space, gap, area, relationship, or anything like that right away and some will but for most, we don’t have to. We need time to reflect. Business is different from our personal lives of course as we know.

Warrior moved from certain aspects of his professional life in a fast-paced way it seemed as he liked to be busy. He did, however say later on how he wished he could’ve reflected more and slowed down to make time for things to last. That was mostly about his wrestling career, but perhaps he felt that way later on too. We always go to the next so fast and that includes tangible stuff. If we get rid of something, we buy or get more to replace it. Maybe you don’t but I bet many do. We cannot see an empty space and not fill it. Our mind can work the same way. Once an idea is out and set in motion, another will come to take its place. That’s great to be disciplined but our culture of having and doing does need to slow down in order to just BE…

Have you decluttered anything lately in your life? It doesn’t have to be attic stuff like me but what about other areas? Take some time to just clean out a dresser drawer, closet shelf, or even kitchen gadgets rarely used anymore. I have done that too. It really does feel good and you know the saying of “when in doubt, throw it out.I also happen to like the year analogy. If you haven’t worn, used, or played with it (minus collectibles!) in a year, you probably won’t. I don’t stick to this as much as I should but it is important to keep in mind. Enough of the maybes, make a decision and stick to it. Keep what’s meant to be.

This is a harder concept to apply with people of course who are not things. I know it’s been difficult for me over the years deciding who should be in my life fully and who shouldn’t. Those “rules” above won’t work much in relationships but you can change them into metaphors. If you’ve had no contact or very little with someone in a year, are they still worthy to be in your life? We want to let them go but there are still lingering doubts. At least for some there will be.

Warrior had left WWF (E) several times and then had his disputes over the years with the McMahons. They were physically out of his life but am sure mentally not. That’s how it is for most of us with those who were present so many years and now for various reasons, are not. You get to decide who to keep and who to let go of. The mentality remains but only if we give it power. That is a huge lesson that might take our entire lives to process. Decide on your stuff, people, and anything else you’d like to declutter in every way. Keep the good. You’ll know because it will FEEL right. It may take a while but in order to move forward, we need to let go. Warrior, I will keep always. 💕

P.S. Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S. Friends! No, I do NOT have my 🎄 tree up yet. That begins for us after this Holiday of giving thanks.. 🧡🤎🦃🍽️
