This Brotherhood of Mine

Me and the boys. Yep. For many fun times it was and I always seemed more comfortable around guys. Dating? Well, that was kinda another post but this one is more about other memories. Sure, sometimes guys bring the egos but girls bring the drama and I never could get into that. Even now with both sides of the family I prefer the company of menfolk. Is that sad? Maybe, but not for me. I have often said how my brother and I were always closer than either sister as we are almost twins and share similar traits. There were other reasons though as we thrived on the silly and not seriousness of some girls.

Yes, wrestling was funny (for the most part…) when we watched together but there were many more times. I had several cousins close in age and even a few my same age but on some occasions, girls other than me got sorta mean and gossipy. I’d hang with my brother and boy cousin a few years younger. Oh what great stories we have! I laugh since on “The Ultimate Collection” DVD, there is a match from December 17, ( my husband’s bday) 1988 between the Ultimate Warrior and the Honky Tonk Man. The camera pans the crowd and there is this boy with arms raised that could be my cousin’s doppelgänger! He looks exactly like him at that age. How was he there and not me, lol?! My brother totally agreed on the resemblance. 💯

I also used to help some boys cheat on tests in school. One was even the boy who had the Road Warriors on a notebook. You’ll find that story from years ago in my book- Spirit and Belief. We were friends and never got caught. See, I wasn’t the “good girl” all the time! I still am not about some things… 🤫Even former boyfriends of my sisters I seemed to get along better with than some of the girls. Guess it all started with my girl issues that carried over when it came to trust but we do evolve over time. Some women never outgrow their snobbiness or martyr attitude but that’s been talked about too.

Don’t get me wrong here. I do have some close women in my life but honestly, no “bestie.” I’m not that close with immediate women in my family with very different personalities. I’m the black sheep for sure but am OK with that now. My spiritual cousin and I are very close as she is like the older sister I never had. Maybe I just never felt judged by boys and could be myself. We always have both energies ya know. I’ve never been a “girly” girl but let me tell you, I embrace my femininity big-time more than ever just not in a flashy way. Back in the day, girls would not watch sports or even talk about them. I did have friends in school who played their own sports but professionally on TV was never a topic with them at all. I loved our Cleveland sports teams of football and basketball in the mid 80’s but never had one conversation with another girl ever that I can recall. I have stated this about wrestling as well. My mom actually would watch with my brother and I all about how our Cleveland teams were doing. Dad started WWF but never got into actually sitting and watching the others with us. Never my sisters either. I enjoyed it all. 🏀🏈🤼‍♀️ You’d catch me more at a monster truck rally over a fashion show any day. I like the action and it showed over the years. We took our kids to a monster truck rally a few years back as it was all my idea. Two trucks were actually named “Tombstone” and “Gravedigger.” Guess who I think of on that, ha ha!

I even enjoy all the superhero movies. Yes, some do involve women as well and I am a sucker for rom-coms but between the movie “Frozen” and let’s say- “The Avengers,” yeah I think you know the answer for me. I know “Frozen” is animated but I always thought if they made a movie like that about sisters, why can’t there be one about brothers? Maybe there is, I don’t really know. 🤔When I want to be that GIRL, I sure am in other ways. I can get glammed up and feel pretty but don’t need to live and breathe it always. I’m not out to bash men and never will entirely. Despite women fighting for equality, some are just as nasty as men can be. I believe there are more fake women out there because men are more direct. Sometimes it doesn’t always work in your favor but it all depends on your experiences. Many women I truly admire really and I was shown to tap in to that feminine side more which I have done. Not all women are “cliquey” just like not all men are controlling. We always need that balance of strength and emotion whether we are that guy or gal.

I just seemed to hit it off more with a brotherhood of sorts which explains A LOT now. I remember being picky with some guys but I was afraid of not liking them if they liked me or getting hurt even. With girls it would seem one day they’d be your friend and the next, you didn’t exist. I may never have that elusive female BFF but it’s OK now as I don’t fight it anymore. I am me so that’s that. I would fight so hard for some women but you can’t fight for someone who doesn’t reciprocate.

I do wish you all friends whether it’s a brotherhood, sisterhood, or any in betweens. We just connect with whoever “gets” us and who truly wants to stick around. Thank you Warrior for always sticking around as he “gets” me for sure. 💙😉 I was that GIRL who watched the Ultimate Warrior most definitely but totally understood the guy vibe of the sport back then. We all have our real reasons and I am grateful for mine. Maybe things will change one day but our life lessons teach us to grow as we should. The guys in my life came for a reason just like the girls but my brotherhood gives me such fond memories that the sisters couldn’t. Just be you and don’t fight against it. We are all in this together as brothers and sisters in a way so be comfortable being the warrior you need to be always. We can be competitors but let’s do it in a healthy human way…,

P.S. I am very glad to have talked with a few in Warrior’s “brotherhood” outside of wrestling… it means so much…🥹

My Warrior Painting Therapy 🌊🌥💖

Hello warriors! I am BACK but then in a few weeks we will be on vacation so you get a bit of new posts until then. Miss me? In some ways, this writing break was tough but I was able to concentrate on other things~ like painting. I didn’t share my little journal art which was mostly nature inspired but decided instead to show a painting from 2017. This is called “Ocean Serenity” and it hangs in my home. Have any of you heard of these painting places that guide you to create a picture? I signed up for a class through a yoga studio at the time. I never thought I’d be painting again but it was suggested to help with my creativity in writing.

First, I had my warrior therapy last year with PT and now painting. That ocean picture wasn’t too challenging as I’m sure it would’ve been easy for Warrior. I was excited but my issues were more social besides painting back then. The owner of the yoga studio was coming and as usual, I had such high expectations. I’m learning on that… She’d be the only one I would know as we did chair yoga halfway through the class. She wanted to establish herself in the community and I loved this idea. We’d talk, sip wine,🍷and paint together. It would be such fun! No idea she brought a friend.

No big deal since we could all have some girl time despite this session being a family day at “Pinot’s Palette.” It became awkward though when she asked me to take their photo together. Yeah, then I knew they would be a twosome with me flying solo. I still followed along as music played in the background while sipping my wine. The ocean was progressing nicely and then I heard some fun 80’s music which got my groove back on. “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds was a song I would seem to hear on repeat after Warrior passed for months among others. That brought a smile and a chuckle despite the social tension. It was then that the friend of the yoga teacher complemented my painting as she was struggling with hers. I gotta say that surprised me but I humbly accepted her praise.

I actually struggled getting the skyline just right. Not perfection as this class might’ve frustrated my daughter, but just the colors. Where you see that hot pink~ should be orange! I tried but couldn’t keep over-correcting so pink it remained (: I love both colors but guess mine needed to stay pink. My favorite part is the fence posts. They just pop out from a distance but with water pictures, I usually get lost in the perspective. I never went there again and that place is now a relocated popcorn shop. The pandemic am sure factored in but grateful to have had that opportunity while proving my painting ability, albeit a guided one.

Besides painting, so much has happened in my family and there’s still more to come. My daughter turned “sweet 16,” is close to getting her drivers license, my son graduated high school, and I’ll be prepping for his party in early July. This vacation can’t come soon enough until it all returns with the boy getting his wisdom teeth out on top of all the craziness! I am trying my very best to remain calm as everything seems to come all at once. Painting truly was therapeutic as I’m sure Warrior knows. I would have an idea but didn’t give it too much thought before hand. There were some clouds against a pink cotton candy sky, a daisy flower, a monarch butterfly, a beautiful red, orange, and yellow sun, summer bugs, a sailboat in the water, some simple designs, plus a spring tree with flower blossoms. The sun, butterfly, and tree are my favorites of those. ☀️🐝🐞🕸⛵️🌳

Have you ever needed to change your routine up some to get back a spark of creativity? Maybe you haven’t but we all need to recharge and switch things around for variety sometimes. Just look at how Warrior approached his character in wrestling. Some aspects needed to remain the same but always needed to be innovative with his approach and I believe he succeeded. It wasn’t just him personally or professionally and for us fans as well.

I also worked on a new YouTube video while breaking from writing. It’s all about the challenges of dealing with our old 3D world while accepting the new 5D one. Yeah, it’s kind of spiritual but I break it down (hopefully in a simple way) for all you confused folks out there. I also updated the website with some new links of more recent Podcasts while deleting those inactive ones no longer valid. Check it out if wanting more me, ha ha!

So warriors- I do hope all of you reading are well as we move into summer quite soon in the U.S. We’ve had enough rain so I’m manifesting a warm season as we love the outdoors, our pool, and being in nature. Maybe you’ll do some painting too? Next week is more about Warrior as some of you fans might be wondering. After that post will be another week off but I have some more blogs coming so please stay tuned… Thank you all for reading and catching up on old posts if you did. Warrior himself has inspired a few more ideas and dreams so get your gear in place and head to the squared circle! Oh, and hearing that graduation song brought much emotion my way but as a warrior, I moved through it all. Hard to believe my “Until We Meet Again” post was last September and now it is June. It mentions my senior year and my son’s…, I will “see”you all next week!

The Color Blur 🎨💙💖

What a color blur April and May 2014 was for me in so many ways. No, I’m NOT gonna go back to all that but this is more a continuation of sorts. That expression came to mind because of all the busy stuff which happened in spring of that year. I had mentioned in the post of 2020 “Many Colorful Masks” about my daughter’s painted butterfly cheeks but am expanding on this just a bit today. Here’s a little recap of one event. Right around Warrior’s passing, much was going on in my family life and I needed all that craziness to do. A few days after April 8th, my girl had this dance party at school and got her face painted. I had said how she wanted to keep them on for her Grandpa’s big 70th birthday dinner that Saturday. With shaking hands, Mama redid them just enough so she could show off. There’s more to that time though which I haven’t shared.

The birthday night continued as another color blur was part of me. A few days earlier as a tribute to Warrior, I decided to paint my nails pink, orange, and lime green while alternating of course. 💅 Nobody would even notice (not really anyway) but to me, it was an honor. I wanted them to notice the butterfly painted cheeks of my little girl but my nails, that was just mine and mine alone. We all had a great time as I needed it but still felt like crawling away to be by myself.

A week later was Easter which I decided to host that year. We just had that Holiday here in the U.S. I had made this decision before April and not just solely as a distraction. My one sister offered to host considering that butterfly girl of mine was making her 1st Communion in May and back to back family events are quite a lot. I told her no but thanks for the offer to help. It would all work out while unbeknownst to them, my life needed the activities. That Easter brought more color blurs of eggs, baskets, little girl dresses, and much more fun but internally, I was a mess and would be for quite the time. I did play “Just Dance” on the Wii in our basement to “Beautiful” by One Direction against the girls. Those lyrics got me out of a funk and I came close to winning! Give that song a listen...

About a month or so later, the 1st Communion prepping was upon us. We settled for a dress online that she liked but no veil. She didn’t want one. No tiara either. I didn’t care but explained to her how just about every girl would be wearing one so when she’d see them, to not be upset. It would be too late then. She accepted this even though her mind changes quite often. That’s so anti-Gemini… ♊️ I’ve always applauded her own warrior spirit of independence and not conforming. Yet another reminder back then which would for sure get a lump in my throat. I am that “rebel” too but just didn’t have the voice enough as a child which she always did and still does.

This takes us to shoe shopping and maybe something for her hair. All of her questions made my lump get bigger as I had to stop tears. “Why does everything have to be white, I want some color!” She said that often. Guess where my thoughts went? I tried to explain it to her but even my words sound so silly to me now. White is pure, holy, and it’s tradition. They were all religious aspects which I don’t truly follow too much these days. I have instructed the kids but now they’re on their own with those belief systems. It was so forced on me as a kid and despite some beautiful memories, we need to do what works for us spiritually and religious conformity just doesn’t anymore. You can believe otherwise, no judgment but I have moved forward.

It became another color blur as we did find colorful shoes but they weren’t in her size. White ones had to match the dress after all! Much of her rebelling and questioning made my emotional volcano close to erupting. She got her color and we loved it. We bought a headband with a hot pink flower on the side. I couldn’t have been prouder and when she saw all those veil wearing girls, she didn’t mind. My warrior girl indeed. 🌺

That time was so fast for me as the month and a half ran by just like The Ultimate Warrior would! A color blur of his passing, butterfly cheeks, party balloons and cake, my nails, Easter decor, and then a beautiful pink flower to top off that white dress. O.K., she looked so cute like a mini bride and it’s sort of like “marrying Jesus” but there are many ways to be close to Jesus or any others we may worship. Not wanting to preach here but just being honest as I do. I can’t forget my purple tulips that bloomed that spring too as part of this colorful past. They’ve been mentioned plenty!

The Ultimate Warrior could be quite the color blur with all that he did over the years as time seemed to go very quickly. I’m grateful I could keep up with those exciting years of watching him perform just like I could keep up with that busy colorful time of April and May in 2014. Whew. It’s amazing I held it all together but knew my moments alone were just for me and family stuff counted too. Where are my Emmy Awards, lol?! 😂 I had to balance all that was happening around me involving Warrior, the Universe, and my present life. Another three count. What a color blur it was as time had slowed down just enough so I could take it all in. After all, we need color to paint our world. Just allow your white canvas to expand a little, you may learn something. I sure have...

P.S. In the previous post about masks, you’ll read another Easter connector. It concerned a certain egg I painted one year. It was the same colors (blur) as the batteries I got! 😬🥚🔋🔋**Of course they are both Warrior related… 😉

Out of this World 🪐

To all you space and science freaks, this one’s for you. Some of today’s content may not suit everyone but really, isn’t that most of the time? 😉Well, quite possibly not as you loyal readers keep coming back. Always many Ultimate thanks. I’m sure you’ve heard the expression: “you’re acting like you’re from another planet!” Maybe you haven’t but perhaps after a discussion, you heard something similar if someone disagrees. I bet lots of folks thought that of Warrior too with certain things he said or did over the years. ***FYI here– it seems lately that a few ideas I would have for posts in some way get brought up by the U.W. fb group. These would be ideas I thought of a while back and then up pops a post on there, too funny!

People thought he was crazy for writing those comic books among other ideas. That pic you see was from a signing after he took on that project in 1996 at the Golden Apple Comic Book Store. Was he out of this world for doing that? The stories were “interesting” to say the least but I never read them all as some of you may have. Long before that time, he often referenced some of the planets and such during many of those maniacal U.W. promos which became so iconic. His left wrist sported the planet Saturn which was part of a Terminator/ Barbarian theme. I finally found out more info on that. You can find those pics on your own but obviously it was of some interest to him. Some say Warrior was very intelligent about many things, some say otherwise but nobody pursues interests in a way outside of a career unless you are passionate about it. We pursue career interests too but I’m talking about extra hobbies you connect with.

Take me for example. You knew this was coming. These kinds of topics are usually reserved for my other blog over at Spirit and Belief, but it relates today. My Dad worked at NASA for 50 years as a chemical engineer. No, I’m not getting all “geeked” out here but space exploration and all it entails was around my life for many years. In 4th grade, we always had to do science fair projects on the planets. My brother did a shoebox diorama and the following year was my turn. Mine was on posterboard with glittered planets. It was so beautiful and I loved it! Dad would always help us down in the basement on top of our pool table. That way, it was much easier to clean up. Always was I fascinated by all the details of each one plus the sun, moon, and stars. ☀️🌙✨ Not enough to want a trip into space but it piqued my curiosity. No idea on my sisters projects. Guess I forgot theirs. I also had to do a report on a famous person in 4th grade. My choice was Marie Curie. She was a scientist! 👩🏻‍🔬🦠 🧪 Even in 6th grade, one of my “special interest” talks was on the Space Shuttle. It wasn’t just because of all the stuff Dad could bring home either. We always watched the Space Shuttle missions go up. Very sad how they had to be discontinued. ☹️ 🚀

I remember a few fun units in Science as a kid that usually made me pay closer attention. One was on astronomy (how did you know?) while the other was geology. As my son’s teacher had said : “it isn’t all about rocks!” I love learning all their names and especially geodes. Let’s move on a little with all those rocks of geology because well, that’s my memory. As a child, I recall coloring rocks with crayons. Has anyone ever done this? Of course they’d have to be white or with very little color. My poor crayons would get so dull with wax everywhere but the rocks came out great! Maybe that little girl knew all along as an adult, she’d love crystals and their healing power. Out of this world? Maybe, but it’s a compliment for me!

I’m not too sure if Warrior ever read up on the possibility of life on other dimensions or if people here on Earth are from another world. Don’t worry, I’m not getting all “Hollyweird” with scary movie drama as it mostly tends to be negative. I always enjoyed the “Men in Black” series despite possibly freaking out thinking your neighbor could be an alien! 👽 🛸 Let’s make them nice, shall we? After all, they probably come from a far advanced civilization than life here on Earth and need our “school” again to learn lessons. OK, my Dad was also a “sci-fi”nerd but I am more open minded these days. If you aren’t, no biggie. I just think anything is possible and don’t live in fear.

I know what you fans are probably thinking now. I can read your mind! No, I can’t really but your thoughts could be this: She thinks Warrior was too advanced on many topics and must’ve really been out of this world or from another planet. I’m NOT saying that at all but honestly, we really don’t know anyone’s true existence. My Energy Healer has told me how I travel to many places besides Earth at night during my dream state. I believe this as sometimes after waking in a daze, it feels like I never really slept! This is more common than you may think. Us spiritual folks just do different things and have different gifts. It’s those things we don’t have to truly question to know they are true for us.

Are you still with me or have I scared you all away? I can go on and on about this but let’s just say, I like to learn. If it’s something relevant to me or something I’ve had an experience with, it gets researched. Do I believe we’ve been here before? Yep, I do. Did I always believe this? Nope, but after learning more about my journey- it’s there now. I’m not asking any of you to agree but just be open to new ways of looking at your life and all the possibilities that it may include. Warrior was always open to learning and he had mentioned much about past lives, evolution, and other similar topics. He may not have talked or written about exactly my post today but I believe he was interested in our existence and beginnings. Are you a believer? Maybe I am out of this world but I am here now on Earth just like you. However we got here, it’s our duty to be in this life the best we can. Use it well “earthlings!”! 🌍

P.S. I hope I didn’t get you thinking your neighbor could be an alien! “The truth is out there!” ( X-Files history!)

P.P.S. Every time I carry a few crystals in my pocket (which is pretty often), my kids ask why I’m carrying rocks! Lol! 💎

My Warrior Week ❣️

Notice anything different? How can you really tell when I haven’t written yet! Well, maybe you’ve figured it out with that beautiful word of warrior above. Another first here. These posts have either had a photo of Warrior, Ultimate Warrior, other references, or that rare selfie. This time, it’s something entirely new. I do have more pics of Warrior himself coming up of course but my cousin sent that image to me and had to use it today. I have referenced her before in the post titled: “My OWN Wrestling Stories” written 3/4/20. She has two boys who did the “real” wrestling all through high school and we are Spiritual Sistas. After buying my book a few years back, we reconnected in a new way and have shared many experiences of our own in regards to spiritual topics. You can read that post to familiarize yourself with her story but I’m sharing a warrior week with all of you today.

She meditates daily just like me and sometimes we go deeper with music or healing frequencies. I won’t get all detailed but different levels of sound heal in many ways and our brain waves respond. So, when she was almost finished, this popped up on her phone:

WARRIOR TITLE

FULL RELIEF. ***What does that mean? She has native blood so the message might’ve been for her but she thought of me. I can’t possibly guess but she is a strong warrior woman in her own right. She hadn’t typed or pressed anything, wow. Perhaps she’s finding relief from some of her situations but so happy it got sent my way.

It gets more involved with this warrior week of mine. Her one son and daughter-in-law took his two boys to the “Arnold Classic” in Columbus, OH a few weekends ago. I was not familiar with this at all but it’s been around for years. Of course it’s after Arnold Schwarzenegger and is part of the IFBB or (International Federation of Bodybuilding) all about nutrition, fitness, competitions, apparel, booths, and so much more. They sent her a pic of one of the boys punching a machine. Behind him on a sign it read: “Everyone is a Warrior. Everyone has a fight.” Again, she thinks to include me with these warrior words and I love it. The boys had a blast! A few of her other grandsons are still wrestlers and she got a pic from another daughter-in-law. Her grandson placed 2nd but his opponent’s singlet read “Savage.” She sent me that too, “OH YEAH!”

Last is about her only granddaughter by her daughter. She is homeschooled along with her brother and now they are starting archery. My cousin or “Nani” as she is affectionately called by the kids, decided to send this girl her first child youth bow. How nice! She buys one and snaps a pic to send me. The brand name is: “WARRIOR.” How about that? I just kept laughing and smiling all the while at these wonderful warrior happenings. She takes time out of her day across the country to send me warrior inspired messages. We share a lot of laughs but she has truly been a huge support to me as I have been for her.

I knew she’d listen and enjoy the podcast I did with “Kee on Sports.” Here are some of her words:

” You are blessed with the gift to speak and obviously write… this definitely is your forte and such a beautiful way to share and help others. Keep up the hard work and just let it pour from your spirit.” She went on to say how proud she is of me and to reach for the stars! I’m not sharing to boast at all but just to inspire others to continue on in what you truly want to do while helping along the way. I wasn’t expecting such incredible words from her but it felt so good always knowing she’s in my corner. She told me it was my warrior spiritual day and I always believe.

Those warrior signs kept coming as I had gotten a few more emails earlier that week asking about “Warrior’s Web.” I sent them some info and they were grateful to connect. One even wants to buy my book (: You never know the influence or impact you may have on another as I said before. I just do what I love and the rest follows. That’s how we all need to be in every facet of our life. Some days, we don’t really try that hard when the right person, place, or thing just finds us. Keeping being YOU warriors, not anybody else and celebrate all your victories.

That was quite a week and really not just a Warrior day for me but so uplifting and fun. We have enough negativity out there in this world so go and be the positive. We need more of that warriors! Doesn’t it feel good to get compliments from another? Sure, it does but don’t forget to send words of praise in the opposite direction. You all might not have a warrior week or day like mine but be a warrior every day by tapping into your own spirit. Look for those signs that will guide you in the right direction. It just might be a “random” text, photo, or email. There are no coincidences, always believe that...

P.S. I also found several Bluejay feathers on a walk during Warrior week too!

***P.P.S. My extreme condolences go out to the family of Scott Hall, a.k.a.“Razor Ramon.” I thought about posting this first but didn’t want to take away from the tone of the blog this week. His passing hit me really HARD as I had mentioned him in a post several years back. I know Dana and the girls met him backstage after Warrior’s passing during the following year’s WrestleMania weekend and he shared memories of their Dad with them. He had told the girls how they have lots of “uncles” and “aunties” watching out for them now. Scott was inducted along with Warrior as part of the WWE HOF class of 2014. So, it was a little personal for me this time more than with some of the others. I did see a pic of Warrior and Scott shaking hands during 2014’s HOF backstage ceremony. I cried a lot but I do know that he is at peace . So long for now “Mr. Bad Guy.”

💙🙏🏻😓 Thank you Scott for showing us how you truly were a GOOD guy…

Backyard BBQ Bliss 🔥🌭🌳

As I was thinking of a story to share this week, nothing came to mind. Oh my, what to write? 🤔✍🏻While getting ready one morning last week, I glanced at our Christmas card that I keep on my dresser all year. Yes, I do that and love it! I decided last summer how we needed a new family photo which eventually became part of last year’s Holiday card. The previous one taken was almost 8 years ago and of course I remember that time frame quite well as you fans will too. Looking at that family photo made me think of a story that happened last Labor Day early September here in the U.S. Interestingly enough, it involves my backyard as I blogged a week ago about a dream involving another backyard… Oh, I DID just buy some green grapes but anyways… 😉🤭

The Holiday was getting nearer and sometimes we host a family BBQ, sometimes not. This time, we just had my mom over for hotdogs, coleslaw, chips, cookies, and some fun outdoor games. We had a bonfire going also which always is a staple in the summer. Despite my medical procedures of a few months prior, all had been settled but in someways, I was still struggling. I’m going to get a little spiritual here so if it isn’t your thing, that’s all right. I promise it isn’t too “woo-woo” for anyone not open to it all. My pain seem to linger although on the opposite side this time. For those unaware, I had an ulcer plus some other gut issues that needed addressed. Now, I have more female areas affected down there but no worries– I am fine. Guess it’s just all part of a “spiritual cleanse” for me in a way. There’s been A LOT these couple years and now past month but like a warrior, I move forward and take it all in on my journey.

Getting back to the BBQ plans, we had a fun time as I just dealt with my inner pain. Some things are triggers for me as I’m sure you all have as well. Food still wasn’t always working in my favor and my mom noticed. She asked if I was feeling well and for the most part I was. My kids knew I wasn’t 100% but I didn’t want them to worry as I really didn’t feel a medical doctor was necessary. I had been working with the Energy Healer and doing a lot more practices on my own at home. “This too shall come to pass.” Words of Wisdom spoken by Warrior and I needed to believe them. My mom just said: “You and your weird stuff!” Yeah, it’s weird stuff for my mom who can’t connect to spirituality the way I do. That’s OK though, it isn’t for her to learn. Sure, I wish she could’ve possibly understood more but have accepted that’s how she is and I don’t take it personally anymore. At least I try not to. ❤️‍🩹

Some of my internal “pains” were related to energy and negative emotions. We’re all energy of course but with my process which is similar to others spiritually, we need to heal the gut. That is where we store emotions and sometimes old wounds of the past resurface which takes time to heal. This may not affect everyone and can be quite scary, but things are moving in the right direction. I just need patience, trust, and of course to always believe.

I was distracted plenty by our lawn games of giant Jenga and corn hole so had to put my discomfort aside for the day. You might be thinking how bliss fits into this post and of course Warrior. Follow along and you’ll read in just a few minutes. My husband and I rotated playing the games while tending to the fire. My mom and I were on a team playing the kids in cornhole. We scored on a few rounds and went ahead. I was feeling a little better but this was my new “normal” back then. I wanted and needed to put the bad feelings in the back of my head to enjoy this beautiful day outside with my family. The beanbag came my way and landed right by my left foot. Our apple tree provided some shade but as I glanced down towards the ground, there was a big ol’ Bluejay feather just waiting for me. 💙

I felt like time stopped just a minute, just for me. The game was almost over and when it was, I immediately picked up that feather as tears formed. No one noticed it going into my pocket as I went inside to wash my hands. I needed a few moments to myself as those Bluejay feathers are one of my signs from Warrior. Even though I had been struggling, this backyard BBQ brought me the bliss I needed to know all will be well and it is. I hadn’t asked the Universe or Warrior for a sign that day and yet there it was, truly Ultimate in front of me.

Earlier that summer, another Bluejay feather was standing straight up in the grass near the back of our shed. I had gone out with my yoga mat as part of a daily routine and that spot was where the top of my mat sits. Had to do some Warrior yoga moves then for sure! The sun had been shining right at that moment as I kept the feather with me while knowing he was there. I don’t keep every feather anymore but those blue jay ones, you betcha! What I love are the markings. They are so different unlike let’s say Cardinals. The color shade of red may vary but besides that, pretty much the same. Blue Jays have variety kind of like someone else I know who delivered that day as well. He delivers every day in one way or another but when I was feeling down, he picked me up. Thank you Warrior for your Blue Jay bliss as every single one matters to me. Notice those little things because the Universe wants you too- with or without a backyard BBQ. ☀️🧘‍♀️☮️

P.S. I could’ve called this post “BlueJay Bliss” but there’s been several posts about those feathers. There are many cardinal stories in my book too! PLUS, I wanted to keep everyone guessing!!! Oh, mom and I did beat the kids in cornhole!

To Find Yourself 💙🧠

“For a man to truly find himself, he has to go one place that we’re all entitled to go to. Deep, deep, deep in the mind…”

All you Ultimate Warrior fans probably know that speech he gave on RAW back in 1996. I won’t share the exact date because well, you can look that up on your own and you’ll know why. Jerry Lawler had commented that he was a “lunatic” for talking that way before Goldust came out but again, I get it. It does take quite a while for anyone to truly find themselves because we either are afraid of spending time alone or being judged. Being judged would be mine only years ago and not be people you’d probably think.

Back when I watched good ‘ol WWF, the Sunday morning show of Wrestling Challenge became an emotional ultimate challenge for me. That day we went to church so Superstars on Saturday was a no-brainer depending on which T.V. in the house I chose to watch. While in high school, my Dad decided switching churches to another which was a further drive. The service began at 9:30 and wrestling came on at 11:00. We ALWAYS made it back but guess what I’d be thinking about during the service? Yep, of course. If I knew the Ultimate Warrior was going to be on, I’d get so nervous and antsy. I always felt like lightning ⚡️ would strike me down for not paying attention! 😳

After my brother joined the Navy in Sept. of 1991, I lost a part of myself or so it seemed. Watching wrestling pretty much alone wasn’t the same anymore and I missed our funny banter. So grateful to reminisce with him now… My family knew I still watched but for some reason, I became a “closet watcher.” I’d sneak to watch on any T.V. I could access but change the channel when someone came in the room. That reminds me of Warrior’s story from the book “A Life Lived Forever.” He remembered his step-dad doing the same thing after “Jim” came home from being out with friends. If you can recall, I never shared much about wrestling with my friends but to hide it from my own family who knew I watched seems odd, doesn’t it? 🤔Why was I afraid? Probably because I lost a guy to watch with and was so conditioned to believe it wasn’t for girls. I had to find myself again.

I remember a few times after church when my Mom would be making breakfast. For some reason, Dad didn’t want the T.V. on in the kitchen anymore so I might miss the whole show. I actually would make up excuses to not come down so I could watch WWF upstairs in my brother’s room. Let’s see– a stomachache, I’m in the bathroom, ( for an hour?!) too tired and need to lie down, or anything else. Sometimes SNME was on the night before or I’d be babysitting late so being tired would be a legit excuse! I’d eat later around noon. Did Mom or the others ever figure it out? I don’t know. Maybe I just didn’t ever feel comfortable without my brother but I gotta say– never did I miss it despite my excuses. Think I still watched despite U.W. being gone briefly in ’91. Cable ended my run a year or so later but Warrior had moved on and I did too.

Have you ever felt like you lost a part of yourself and needed to find it again? No, I never watched that much after late 1992 but what are your moments where parts needed to come back? You can go deep in your mind or explore other activities like Warrior but be the one to decide if what you lost is worth finding again. I never thought Warrior would re-surface in my life ever. It wasn’t until I bought a magazine in ’93, (Warrior was making the movie Firepower then) and a few years later finding an Action Figure which brought him back to me in a way. Both of those are great stories! Warrior also never thought after all the years of fueding with Vince that he’d ever be found again. Funny how fate has a way of lining things up that we couldn’t imagine ourselves. This is such a testament to my spiritual journey now.

I do know that never would I have looked up Warrior on my own had it not been for some things which became public. Finding myself didn’t mean watching wrestling anymore or even knowing what Warrior was up to. It meant not being afraid of judgments or ridicule for doing something I liked- whatever that could be. I had to learn to have more confidence in myself which took a long time, even into adulthood. Part of this was my own fear. It was me being fearful of all the emotion that would come as a result of not only following anything Warrior was putting out there but admitting it was o.k.

Whatever is preventing you from finding yourself however that looks, don’t be afraid. It’s your true essence calling out and saying: “I know you’re scared but do it anyway!” Once you finally go deep in your mind, heart, AND soul is when the truth will be found. Warrior had to spend lots of time exploring who he really was as a man but stayed true to himself. Sometimes, parts of us get lost, confused, or mixed up but we eventually get led back by fate or the Universe. To find yourself takes hard work but when you do, it’ll never be lost again. Be the warrior who goes deep as we are entitled to go to. Find yourself for your true nature knows the way.

Remember Me As…

BEWARE of my EMOTIONS on this.

Hey there readers… Maybe some of you are aware of the vlogs Warrior put out around 2008 so I decided to use a photo from one of them. You can easily access these thru YouTube and there are many where he discussed various topics. Some of it is business related but some are controversial in nature where he shares his opinions as always. Feel free to watch on your own as I like to share other types of work he made public. Do I agree with everything he says all the time? Unless you are new here, you know that answer which is a no however that moves us into today’s topic.

Remember Me As… Warrior would want to be remembered most as being an innovative, inspirational guy who took his abilities to another level while motivating others. Not gonna use the word intensity of a few weeks ago. Of course, being a Dad was his greatest gift but getting that confidence to truly be himself and believe is what I remember most. Yes, we mainly know him as the Ultimate Warrior but he always wanted to be known as more and in some ways he was. I can for sure say what he would NOT want to be remembered as but we all tend to bring on some drama and suffer consequences. We want to be remembered for the good we do and not for others to focus on the bad which they seem to quite often. Do you share every little detail of your life? I bet you don’t but with fame, some believe your life is an open book. It is not and shouldn’t be. If you want to read a book, read mine😉 …, Warrior had mentioned on the “Ultimate Collection” DVD how he wanted his character remembered which equated with the physicality he created. As a man though, he wanted to be remembered in other areas of his life as us fans know.

Excuse me a minute while I climb on top of the ol’ soap box once again. You may disagree with me on this but let’s get into the celebrity angle just a bit more. Yes, fame has its share of sacrifices, hard work, and being remembered. We will all have our own memories of those that are or were famous. Some stories are still talked about today in regards to celebrity deaths. They are people too just choosing a different lifestyle. Don’t you think they want others to remember the good about them just like us regular folks? Of course but then there are others.

***BIG SIGH*** plus some other expletives I can’t write here. 🤬 Switch roles for a minute. If you were that famous celebrity and you passed, what then? Your family will be grieving your loss a long time and you still want to protect them. Would you honestly want the media digging up any little piece of “dirt” they can find to prove a point? Your family would be drug thru the mud and you as a spirit, are watching. I understand all about honesty and Warrior was very much so but private is another word he was all about, especially later in his life. He had mentioned this over and over again.

With him being private, people would sometimes assume the worst and jump to conclusions. We do this to others too. People also assume they have a right to know everything about a famous person and if they don’t find that “dirt,” there’s a cover-up. Warrior’s HOF weekend and his passing are continuously marked by rumors, speculations, and such but NONE of that will bring him back. He was too proud to let anything get in the way of enjoying that weekend despite ugly naysayers thinking some plotted against him. Many will also attest to the fact that newer additional merchandise is just the WWE profiting too much from Warrior’s passing. They wanted to make amends and did but then again, business is business. It isn’t for me to totally expand upon but they’ll try to sell whatever works. It’s up to us as fans to respond so that’s on all you collectors. You can buy what you like, I’m not judging.

Despite this that never seems to go away concerning Warrior’s life, career, and passing we NEED to remember the GOOD people and we should always. We all make mistakes but respect still needs to be given. Warrior wants all of us to live our lives without going over all the intimate details of his. Some of you may say: “No way, we need to know the whole truth if it’s the last thing we do!” Well, the truth is we won’t and shouldn’t. He discussed knowing “the full story” on the DVD but his physical passing is not the same as details on the character he portrayed as U.W. Will knowing more about a famous person such as Warrior really help you find that peace? Maybe but he wants so much more from his fans. I hope you all know this but some may never come to that conclusion. It doesn’t mean to forget about him or anything he did but just to live your life as an inspiration to others without obsessing in a way over another’s.

Whatever “comes out” once again about Warrior, I just hope others look at it in a new way. We may never truly accept but sometimes, privacy wins that match. It DOES matter which was the subject with a few of his videos only about something entirely different. I agree with those that respect privacy because that could be your family which needs it. I will always remember the Ultimate Warrior or Warrior as being passionate and creative among other things. He put much into his short life here for all of us to remember but let’s not dwell on the resentful and bitterness of every little piece of dirt. Honor his legacy with the real truth which is goodness and privacy. We all deserve this whether famous or not. Remember Me As…What will your answer be? -Soap box put away now…

P.S. I can talk about this a long time but as a warrior, I need my privacy and you should too.

P.P.S. Warrior said this in a WWE video about his character: “It’s o.k., you keep it, it’s yours and we’ll be alright… you know.” ~ Keep the GOOD always…🙏🏻💙

Learning to Teach 🍎📝

Do we teach to learn or learn to teach? Are we the student or the teacher? Those questions came to me when starting my bedtime routine the other night. Guess that was a time for an injection of inspiration or is it intensity? Wait, that was last week and enough with all these questions. ⁉️Oh, warriors- this is kinda a big topic and I’ve shared little snippets before but let’s elaborate some. Those questions are more statements and can be reversed throughout our lives. We have been both and are both.

Think about a quick timeline here. As babies, we need to be taught constantly because we don’t know any better. Our parents are our first teachers and then we have school teachers, coaches, counselors, and other adults instructing us. School especially goes on for many years of our life until we become the teachers. For me, that became real with having taught preschoolers but I gotta say- they taught me stuff too. It goes both ways. Once I was a parent, I taught them lots and still are. Now, I am teaching others about spirituality and hopefully with these writings, you are learning a thing or two along the way.

Warrior followed that same path as he aged just like we all do. Even as his careers transitioned, he was always learning along the way. What he learned in bodybuilding, he applied to wrestling which all started in chiropractic school with the physiology of the body. He also was the student of learning new beliefs, ways of thinking, and expressing himself as that creative person. It wasn’t until many years later that he finally became more of a teacher by sharing what he learned in various methods of social media. He learned so he could teach but again, learning never stops. It doesn’t end when our actual schooling years are finished. Then, new learning begins when we are officially adults.

If any of you that had known me years ago could’ve predicted what my life is now, I would’ve thought you were ultimately nuts! O.K., we’re just talking about the Warrior stuff here but what a student I became and still am. Sure, this path isn’t for everybody but knowing my gifts, it made me want to learn more. I am always being educated while still teaching. A friend of mine and myself created a Facebook group for intuitive people and it is growing. Our new idea is to post live videos on various topics in order to educate. This month’s is all about healing trauma with ancestral work. I know this doesn’t connect to Warrior but just the point of being an educator with shared experiences. We are learning new techniques all the time. I am getting more comfortable going live as a student teacher.

I bet plenty of you find yourselves in situations where you are the teacher and student at the same time. Pro wrestling is a good example of this. You are learning the business as a student but then teaching a fan base about your character, signature moves, and everything in between. I think many of Warrior’s struggles remained with that battle of student vs. teacher. He wanted to learn but just in his own way. He eventually became the teacher but again, with his brand of opinions and disciplines. Learn something new everyday was part of his Warrior way and he showed that through his actions, writing, speaking, art, and all that interested him after wrestling.

It doesn’t even have to be those kinds of ideas either. Look at your life and all that you’d like to put out into this world. We might be stronger in one over the other based on our personalities but they are both there on your journey. Being a teacher or student doesn’t have to involve a building, tons of people, or even textbooks. We have the internet which may replace book learning to many but it’s all in how you educate yourself. It also is up to you with how or if you decide to teach what you’ve learned. Maybe there’s something you want to know about but fear is holding you back. Some answers aren’t for us to know ( MORE on that in a few weeks…) but if you never try, you’ll never get there. Warrior also had said: “If you can, you will but if don’t, you won’t.” So very true for all of us. He also had a speech about how “Fear is an Aberration!” I posted that as well a few years ago.

Be the student even as an adult because you may just motivate someone else to get that confidence to teach what they have learned. It’s part of that natural cycle like giving and receiving. Of course it’s easier learning when it’s something we truly want to do but when it’s the hard stuff, we may tap out. I know throughout my spiritual process there have been many lessons I had to learn but then can pass on my experiences so others relate. It can be painful in many areas but we need to be those warriors our spirit knows us to be. Learning becomes teaching and as life long students, it’s our ultimate job to gorilla press any doubts down to the mat. 💪🏻💙

P.S. A quick mention with Batista of last week. He used U.W.’s rope shake as a tribute and got to meet Warrior at WM 30, Warrior was humbled. Batista didn’t know what his reaction would be. A teacher and student lesson right there….

P.P.S. I just recently found this podcast and they did an episode on Warrior. It’s one hour and they go LIVE every Thurs. at 10 A.M. EST in the U.S. They are based in New Jersey and have a huge shop. Other episodes have been about 80’s wrestlers, managers, referees, and lots more. I listened to Randy Savage’s too! Give them a try…

The Two Anniversaries 🙋🏻‍♀️

Oh my warriors… We have come to another year of these writings as I celebrate two anniversaries. This blog was officially started 5 years ago on the 4th and my book Spirit and Belief will be 4 years old tomorrow on the 7th. I say officially for the blog since June of 2016 was when my warrior writings really started that summer in my hammock. No stats this time but I do enjoy sharing with all of you as the interest seems to keep growing. Thank you readers but especially those who were or are still fans of the Ultimate Warrior or even Warrior. Thank you also to those fans of spiritual gifts because there are still topics some feel too judged to share. I understand, believe me. Despite some detailed and emotional posts, I don’t divulge everything. Just like Warrior, we need a few things to be a mystery.

A few years back, I had posted how Mattigan Warrior ( his youngest) being 17 then was the same age I was when watching her Daddy win WMVI. I was going on 18 but still… My daughter is 15 going on 16 and that was when the Ultimate Warrior first appeared on my T.V. Never had I seen him perform as any other character except as U.W. in Nov. 1987. What a journey it has become minus some missing years in between. That was another post.

I am in awe really when I think back on all this. Sure, I still have some books in my attic that I never could sell but it was a lesson learned. Just knowing that book plus this blog have gone all over the world to many countries warms my heart. Thank you to those who have kept coming back week after week to read, maybe laugh a little, maybe cry, or just reflect on your own life along with Warrior’s. It’s like those wrestling fans who keep supporting their favorites in any way they can. You are my fans so I give you ultimate thanks. Feel free to leave me feedback on the book if you have read it, I’d so appreciate it! 😉📗

Sometimes I actually do get writer’s block which I never use to. I try to connect a photo or video with a post but that isn’t always the case. What I do with most is to either share personal stories which is my favorite way or to share Warrior’s ideas that always aren’t wrestling related. I do hope over the years you have found inspiration or even just compassion in some way. Believe it or not, I also go back and read a few because of nostalgia or even to get motivated myself. If you are new, oh boy you have some catching up to do or should I say running?! Just kidding newbies. Read at your own risk or connect with me. I’ll do my best to answer questions although some topics might be off limits for me. There always seems to be more stories to tell though.

An interesting note to add is about that shirt you see in the photo. Back then, I wanted an authentic t-shirt from the U.W. website. Before all the gear got brought to the WWE shop, I bought from ultimatewarrior.com. Never did I find a pink tank but I love this one and still wear it sometimes during a workout. You’ll find me in a YouTube video with it on and I believe a photo for one of these previous posts. The funny part is when ordering the shirt, I never noticed his image on the back. Guess I just saw the front with being warrior girl and that was enough for me. When it came, I was surprised thinking I might not have gotten it with the back printed. I KNOW that does not sound like a true fan but for lack of a better word- I always say it’s “different” for me. He’s got my back though and I love it.

It’s like getting my Warrior logo tattoo. Never would I get his face or body inked on mine. I know guys do and maybe some girls do but not sure how that would go over with my hubby. 😳😬Despite that, I couldn’t do it anyway. My stuff can be external like these stories but most are internal and emotional so it’s too overwhelming. You fans can do what you want though! Some tattoos really do capture his likeness and I am truly amazed at such creative artistry.

There, I hope you giggled at all that. Another bittersweet story concerns the book. Four years ago before I had sent it out to be published, it was Labor Day weekend here in the U.S. We were covering our pool and this monarch butterfly kept hovering by where I was. I did snap a pic as one had not stayed that long around me ever. Once a blue one came close when I was writing and that has been blogged. I always get sad as summer ends but that butterfly was so beautiful to watch. Later that day, I asked my husband to help a little with emailing the rough draft out. I had been thinking of asking him but was procrastinating. That butterfly gave me courage to go for it and they remain a great symbol to me today. Metamorphosis, change, growth, and beauty are what this process was to me. Every year now I remember that spot where the butterfly was and having the warrior spirit to make my book known to the world. They are still around but not like that afternoon.

Well warriors, “there’s your fix for now” which is from the man himself. I will continue writing as long as I see fit to do so. Whatever comes my way, I will go with the flow. That expression is everywhere for me lately and I have written all about it on my other blog. Am even reading a book about it now. Whatever milestones you encounter, celebrate them how you see fit. Channel that inner warrior spirit to keep going with what you love. I thank Warrior most of all for his continuous belief in me despite any outside naysayers. From my warrior writings to Spirit and Belief, my ultimate thanks because I will Always Believe! 💫
