Learning Life Lessons πŸ’™

Last week was popcorn, this week is well- maybe some tissues. I didn’t intend for this post to be sad although it could come across that way for some of you. As for me, I wasn’t sad but just felt bittersweet and overwhelmed in a new way.

Have you ever had someone say something that surprised or even shocked you? I’m not referring to horrific news but just a statement that made you stop and ponder. 😧That’s what brings us all those life lessons we learn and continue to learn while connecting with others. This was another story that occurred a while back and kept coming to me so I decided to share. It just stood out for me in a new way very much like the Ultimate Warrior did all those years ago.

After this blog had been around a few years and then stories got published into my book Spirit and Belief, I was a guest on Harmonic Journeys podcast. This is the group I belong to where I’m in a book club along with other intriguing spiritual topics like moon ceremonies, meditation, holistic fairs, etc. The woman who hosted the podcast I had seen at a few events and she still continues to have the moon ceremonies. I wish the podcast was still active but sadly, it is not. This was done in Oct. 2018. I may have shared the link back then. She would interview all sorts of us folks wanting to share our stories and gifts. I contacted her to see if I could be a guest. Never had I done anything like this before and was so excited! She had not heard of Warrior but her now grown sons loved Chynna. She also had not known of her passing and said to me: “Oh, I’m so sorry.” It seemed like Chynna was a personal friend of mine. That is just how this woman is with being such a beautiful person inside and out. I love how she says “right on” a bunch too. It’s so groovy (:

After the podcast which she praised me on was finished, my friend bought the book and we chatted a bit. She wanted to know more about Warrior and his life. I love when I encounter those who actually have NOT heard of him because they are non-judgmental and never overly biased in a negative way. You ask me questions, I’ll do my best to share what I can and they are fascinated. After a few tidbits on Warrior, I told her about his passing and how shocking it all seemed to be happening so fast. Her response was:” that poor man.” I had never heard anyone say that, at least not to me about Warrior. It would be more like his poor family or something similar.

Sure, I could’ve got all emotional and said how he did things in extreme ways like with working out and all that but I didn’t. I did share his family history of heart issues but this didn’t change her reaction. Kinda stunned with tears in my eyes, I just sat there not knowing how to compose the rest of my thoughts. I obviously never forgot those words but not once took them as sadness. Remember my post on compassion? It’s about empathy, not pity which none of us want- especially warriors. She also kept adding to that with how young he was. Yes, indeed. Others may have taken “that poor man” in a negative way or even agreed but my feeling wasn’t that and I understand so much more now. Just because we live our lives a certain way and make choices unlike others, does not mean life has to be shorter. It can very much so but that is assuming and we shouldn’t do that either.

Another connecting story actually happened a month or so ago at the end of our book club. We were asked to name a few positive aspects of the person to the right of us. Even if you didn’t know them that well, you had to wing it. The woman who complemented me had this to say: “She’s a good reader.” I was honored as that fits me but then I felt like I was in grade school again. She added: ” I just love your joy and you are filled with such light.” Well, there ya go. Another statement which surprised me a little. I left there feeling so empowered because we need to do this more. This can be pretty easy complimenting those we like or even us fans of Warrior but what about those we don’t? Can you still say some positives in their favor? Try it out. Warrior haters may never do this but I give the rest of you an ultimate challenge. Look to those in your life who need a possible light to shine. You may not be able to say it to their face but think those thoughts to yourself. It will raise your vibe up as all of us have good qualities despite what we perceive to be negative.

Let’s learn these life lessons of being better to others and their situations no matter what our opinion might be. I am working on this constantly too warriors. If you think or say something nice to someone, they may just return the favor. The comments will stay with you and we want those good ones. My friend meant “that poor man” in a way that made me never forget. Be that someone to another. No judging, just understanding. It’s what we all truly need. Warrior needed it too. We can be those warriors who rise above and be the light in their darkness.

P.S. Warrior never would’ve thought of himself as “that poor man” in life or in death. He had a very full existence and never needed to prove it to anyone. πŸ™πŸ»

Bridge the Gap πŸŒ‰πŸŒ

I’m gonna do a little math refresher course here for anyone new but just to “rope” in all these numbers and years. I was never any good at math in school but with things we want to remember, we do the work to find answers. There were so many gaps when I followed the Ultimate Warrior and then for a brief time, Warrior himself. My years of watching him on T.V. were pretty much from late ’87-’92. Am sure fans know those years that defined his wrestling career in the WWF back then. There was that 6-7 month gap after SummerSlam ’91 until WrestleMania VIII.

You may also know or remember quite well his lengthy gap of Nov. ’92 until March ’96 with WMXII. I wasn’t able to watch his 1996 return because WWF had moved to cable and that was a luxury. I also never had seen his 1998 run in the WCW of only a few months because of no cable again. Seeing those years and what he did then had only been more recent for me. After he retired from wrestling, he married Dana in 1999 and had his girls within a few years. This I knew but still not quite sure how. Maybe my brother had told me as I hadn’t been following him anymore.

I do remember during Warrior’s 3.5 year gap all about the movies he made which included Firepower and my blog post. I was also aware of his gym and the comic books since I bought the first one. 1997 even brought the U.W. action figure to me when Warrior wasn’t in the business at that time. When I had found his website in 1999 I believe and then in 2005, again another gap but it kept bridging together for me. As far as social media goes- nope. No Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube of following him either. That was probably for the best as I’ve indicated before… I wouldn’t have been the Mom I needed to be for my young kids in those days! 😬I know he would’ve responded to my comments though. πŸ’™

That takes us all the way from 2005 until Dec. of 2013 when I found out about the Ultimate Warrior being inducted into the WWE HOF. An 8 year gap. I won’t have a gap again of course since that time brought him back never to fully “leave.” Physically he did but emotionally and spiritually for me- never ever. I looked up what it really means to bridge a gap as the expression goes. It states: ” to connect two otherwise unrelated things ( or people as it is for us) by adding something or by finding common ground.” *** I am reminded of the Ultimate Warrior’s speech during the WMVI contract signing: ” … as I take two and become one.” He was referencing both belts of his IC and Hogan’s heavyweight title. It kinda fits here although of course not literally the same. Ah yes, we do have many connectors and some I never would’ve truly realized because they are beneath the physical surface of who we are. Unfortunately, he had to pass in order for me to keep going on my bridge but the grief turned to discovery. What a gift he gave. Of course, I would trade it all for his life back. It was his time though to continue on a new bridge. His presence will forever be felt on each bridge he “runs” across.

So, warriors— have you had or continue to ever bridge the gap between something or someone? I am bringing to mind a little of the 1989 movie “When Harry Met Sally.” Yes, I reference movies a lot and more next week but this one despite being an all time favorite of mine, is an example here. They meet, don’t really like each other, go separate ways, but then keep running into the other throughout the years. I don’t want to spoil for anyone never having seen it but am sure you can guess or already know the ending. “I’ll have what she’s having.” There. I quoted a famous line from the movie, am sure you’ll know that scene! It’s a goodie… πŸ˜‰Of course as with most of my references, this is not identical to Warrior and I. He had popped into my life in many ways throughout the years. Unlike Sally who wasn’t a fan of Harry’s at first, I was always a fan of Warrior’s in and out of the ring.

When coming up with this title, I wasn’t sure of it at first. As usual, the Universe and maybe Warrior himself delivered. It was bouncing off the ropes in my head and within a few days, I heard the word gap by about 3 different people. No, not related in subject matter but just to hear a possible word for one of my posts is synchronistic with me. That’s how it works and those are signs. How do we bridge a gap? Well, we can work on bringing differences together or sometimes they line up on their own. Either way, you will finally realize just like me how that gap that once seemed so far apart is now getting closer based on your life experiences.

I hope we can bridge the gap in many areas throughout the world but it needs to start with each one of us. You can try and if the other is willing to meet you halfway across, you’re already getting there. A bridge reference is actually very cool to picture as we each come from an end to connect in the middle. Maybe we walk together but maybe we don’t. You’ll know those bridges in your life that are worth bringing the gap closer and those that just need to burn. As for me, my bridge with Warrior will always go on and despite an initial gap at first, it will never burn…

P.S. I got some goosebumps a few times while writing this so another good sign! πŸ‘

Find Your Tribe β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯πŸ‘ˆπŸ»πŸ€

Do you have a tribe warriors? I’m not just talking about fellow Ultimate Warrior fans or any other groups like that you may belong to. We are a little πŸ¦‡ sh** crazy though, aren’t we? πŸ€ͺWhat I mean are people perhaps closer in your social circle who really GET you. This can be different for us all but you’ll know the feeling when you feel it. Maybe they’ve known you your whole life or maybe you just met them. Either way, I hope eventually you find your tribe.

I bet at some point in your life, you wanted others to be just as excited about something as you were or are. Let’s use an example of two people. I bet you can guess… Yep, Warrior and myself. I’ll start with him and most fans will know this story but it fits well here. That creativity in him always was there but just not necessarily accepted by others. When he had the comic book idea and even his belief system of Destrucity, both got some PR on the WWF shows then BUT not fully agreed upon. They even gave him a full page in the magazine about Warrior University. I know he wanted Vince to be on board with all that but probably knew those others involved in the process, not so much.

Now, it’s my turn. I may have shared this story before but it also fits here so skip ahead if you’ve heard it. Back when I got this blog started, it was about a month or so in. I still couldn’t believe I was sharing my warrior writings for the whole world to read but hey- I was! At that time, I felt ready to tell my family. The birth family that is. I sent out the info in a group message and couldn’t wait to hear back. The whole time I was typing, a knot in my stomach seemed to get worse. Yeah- that was my intuitive gut trying so hard to tell me :“No, now is not the right time to tell them!” Did I listen to it? Nope… They were supportive but not in the way I needed. I thought my brother would read it every week but it’s only when I mention him and I’m fine with that now. It’s all those expectations but in reality, when you have your tribe— that doesn’t matter at all. I didn’t know that then.

I do remember however, the only one I didn’t tell almost five years ago was my Dad. Guess I just thought he really wouldn’t be interested and with wrestling, he only watched with us a little. He’s a writer of sorts too and when I finally told him, here was his response:” Keep writing. It seems to really suit you.” I never forgot his words and think he wrote them in my birthday card that year. It brought me to tears… Is he totally in my tribe though? Not really but look how he surprised me with his reaction.

The other part of all this is my spirituality. That’s the one Warrior and I share with this whole tribe thing besides the wrestling aspect of his career. As the years went on, he talked more and more about intuition, (of course) evolution, past lives, and all that which I’ve mentioned before on this blog. O.K., he did want that “brotherhood” with the conservatives Dana had mentioned and found a tribe there. The spiritual stuff though is still kinda “woo-woo” for some. No, not “WOOO!” like Ric Flair! Warrior put stuff out there that had been talked about but only in those groups who were already famous with the topic for years. I believe he wanted to find his tribe of followers on that as well. It just got me years later with his passing to connect it with my life.

I have found my tribe of spiritual “woos” but I will always ache for that close friend to share it with. No idea if Warrior ever had a close friend to share it with either. I do have my cousin but so wished she lived closer. We text daily or call about lots of stuff. I did see her a few weekends ago at her grandson’s graduation party. She came all the way to Ohio from Missouri! Very grateful she and I have this connection as do a few of her kids. My daughter has little abilities too that I’ve witnessed but we’ll see what happens as she ages.

Not everyone will be into the same activities as you but our aches will make us search for our own tribe. If you’re not into crystals, oracle cards, or saging like me, that’s fine. You’ll still be in my tribe if you are a fan of Warrior’s or my writing. πŸ˜‰He may not have been into all of it spiritually but Dana is. At least I hope she still believes. Warrior also found his tribe of fellow artists and I am glad he did. He needed that too besides his other passions. There are those who love his fitness videos so that’s another tribe. We do need those connections but need them more in a personal way that isn’t always thru social media.

If you haven’t found your tribe, keep looking. It is crucial for our overall well- being as your spirit knows. You may not believe that but I do. Warrior had his tribe of fellow wrestlers he admired but again, look beyond that career to other outlets. Your tribe is there but as always, you need to do the work too. We will be in this tribe of Warrior fans or writers but explore those other parts of you inside. Listen to your gut. If it feels like a knot, that is NOT your tribe! I thank Warrior for being in my tribe and I thank you all for allowing me in just a small part of yours. πŸ₯°πŸ’œπŸ’ͺ🏻✍🏻

P.S. When I recently went to an outdoor yoga class, another sign was there. My favorite instructor had on a shirt that said: “Warrior.” So thankful I went despite almost missing it! AND another sign— we were watching a Western movie that night which took place in New Mexico, just sayin’!

~ Right before this one beautiful scene in the movie, my left ear started ringing really loud! Hello Warrior… So I connected it to a dream of mine… It was part of a “bucket list” I still need to do ❀️

Alone at the Top πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ’™πŸ”

“You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.” ~Marianne Williamson

I think that quote fits for today as does that photo you see of Warrior above. Do you feel alone at the top? Are you even at the top or do you ever want to be? All interesting questions that I’m bringing into focus or should I say: “FOKE!” like Warrior had said. Whether or not one is alone at the top, this concept can apply to us all in many ways.

Let’s start with Warrior. Did he feel alone at the top? First off, as a champion in the business of wrestling, you alone have that title and nobody else so yes– that applies. But, of course I always mean deeper stuff as you know. Some may like it up there where others may feel intimidated. Warrior wanted that title eventually and most who pursue something similar also have that same motivation. It does come with some issues and sacrifices. Warrior’s title wins made others jealous of his fast rise to the top but he set a goal and achieved it. He got attention a different way than many before him ever got and they had been there much longer. People say Warrior was a “loner” of sorts but does being at the top make you lonely? That all depends as they are not the same thing. I can’t really say if he felt alone for sure but it did factor in with how he already appeared to some. He did it his way and had support from those he trusted.

We all run like the Ultimate Warrior did. πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈYep, you read that right. We do in a way. It’s the running or the chase that excites us to go after that job, relationship, position, or anything that interests us. That strive to get to the top pumps our adrenaline of competition. The question is: When you get there, then what? Do you run to the next goal or revel in the current one for a bit? Being alone at the top can be great when you achieve it but you need to think carefully of your next move. πŸ€”Once you have that elusive thing you’ve wanted for so long, are you satisfied? Maybe you crave more or perhaps are happy with being where you are right now. I can attest to all this with my writing. It’s up to you warriors. Just know that our lives are fluid, not stagnant. We do need to keep pushing ourselves but it’s quite alright to celebrate a victory for a little while- even a small one.

For some of us, we may never strive for that top status and may never be alone. You can be at the πŸ” without necessarily being alone. The opposite is also true. I of course identify with Warrior on many levels and being alone is one I totally connect to. Being at the top— well, that all depends with how it’s defined. I never pursued a career the way he did but still felt at the top many times in my life. It’s not just that career as I’ve said before. You can be at the top with fitness which is how Warrior trained himself to be. It doesn’t need to be taken literally but just being satisfied with how your life is going. We all need to be better though because we learn and evolve always.

Warrior was alone at the top with his disciplined mindset and his spiritual beliefs. Am sure others like myself understand but at the time of sharing his points of view back then, all alone. He totally echoed other great spiritual thinkers and some I follow today. When I first discovered their teachings several years ago, Warrior’s philosophies sounded so much like work they were putting out into the world. So alone? Maybe not totally but to others outside that thinking, yep.

It’s ok to be alone in your thoughts but we do enjoy sharing with like minds. I am grateful to be able to do that now as these past years of gaining or remembering different beliefs have been a struggle. I do like my alone time but some are afraid of it. The mind will wander, oh no.., Warrior wasn’t afraid of that, I’m not either. We are social creatures but NEED time by ourselves even though some may not know what to do. Being at the top will be different for every single person with how you view that idea. If you give your best and be yourself, you’ll know you were at the top when it’s time to hit that pillow at night.

Just because you achieved that dream, wish, or goal doesn’t mean it’s all over. Plan a new one, keep going, and of course- always believe. Take that time to relax if at the top or even at the top alone. You will know what both of those mean and how to interpret them. The running can be fun but know when to slow down once something is caught. The Ultimate Warrior’s running will always be remembered as his time alone at the top wasn’t long. He needed to be alone to use his mind and attained the top win of all. Whatever your goals, be the warrior you need to be to make them come true.

P.S. Wasn’t gonna have a PS this week but just thought of something… Maybe it was Warrior inspired…. Well, his top win of all involved getting that heavyweight title BUT I can hear him saying what his REAL top win was: his girls… πŸ’•

Warrior Birthday Quotes πŸ’™πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏻

“If you remember anything of me after I leave this world, remember that I loved even when it was foolish. That I cared even when it was unwanted. When my body is gone, remember my heart.”

~~~www.tinybuddha.com
I know this is more appropriate on his passing anniversary but it still fits…
I told you all there was ONE more date that lined up this year on my Wednesday blog day and it is Warrior’s birthday. I looked ahead a while back and now it has come. As always, I know his warrior girls and those closest to him will honor and remember in their own way. For this post, I didn’t want it all to be about his birthday so decided to use some quotes I found. A few years ago, I posted several of Warrior’s famous quotes ( in and out of character) but now it’s time to share some I believe connect to him, his beliefs, and US to always believe in ourselves. My spiritual cousin seems to send me the BEST inspiring quotes just when I need them the most. Hers all have a certain word in them. πŸ˜‰More on those in a bit…
Here’s one I posted on the U.W. Facebook page:
“If you are silent about your beliefs because you are worried someone will be offended, then your beliefs are not that important to you, but rather what people think about you is. What people see about you will speak more loudly than how people feel about you because in the end, when we stand up for what is right and true, we will have many who hate us or love us, but all will know what we are fighting for.”
~~~ T.B. LaBerge~~~

***Isn’t this Warrior? I thought of him when I first read it and am sure he’d agree. ***

These next ones were written from a woman’s perspective but you guys- feel free to sub any words of she and her with he and him. Also, you can sub queen for king. My cousin knows how to pick ‘um, that’s for sure. We are “soul sisters” and are in sync with each other. I am so grateful for her on this journey. She has been mentioned here as the widow who lost her husband young, remarried, and her boys were “real” wrestlers. Yep, that’s her. I hope you find some encouraging as I do. They brought me tears but gave me hope as well. Some of it I believe applies to Dana as she is our warrior queen. πŸ‘‘

“She’s done looking back, questioning herself and dwelling on her mistakes. She’s rising like the dawn of a new day, brighter, stronger, and more powerful than she’s ever been. She’s more than a survivor, she’s a warrior queen with a fiery spirit and a strong heart. No longer will she allow others to take advantage of her and she’s turning the page on a new chapter today. She’s casting aside the pain of her often broken heart and she’s using that anguish as fuel for her to rise stronger from the ashes. Sure, she’s afraid, doesn’t have all the answers but she knows she doesn’t have to… The flames made her the warrior she is… her voice will be heard with resounding passion and conviction.”

~~~ Brooke Hampton~~~
Here’s more from Brooke:
“You’re right, I am more than a little weird and a bit awkward. No, I don’t fit in and most people don’t understand me. But at least I’m being real and I think the world needs more people who are brave enough to be real.”
~~~ Think I posted that also to the group but besides the awkward part, that is Warrior since being authentic mattered to him. It should matter to us too.

~~~ A few more:
“I’m slowly learning that life is better lived when you don’t center it on what’s happening around you and center it on what’s happening inside you instead.”
~~~ Rania Naim~~~

~~~ Yet another:
“You see your reflection in the mirror? Don’t be hard on it. Those eyes might look tired but they have pushed through, carried on. Those lines are of years lived and problems solved. That reflection is one of a brave soul. A warrior, a champion in this world, a healer, a giver, a lover, a sweet spirit. Instead of seeing the flaws, celebrate the good. You are strong, wonderful, and more than enough.”
~~~ Chloe Bell~~~

I will end with this:

” Your life becomes a masterpiece when you learn to master peace.”

*** Happy Birthday in parts unknown Warrior. Thank you for being that champion who never strayed from your beliefs, fought the naysayers that misunderstood you, had a brave heart, and learned to master peace near the end. I hope you celebrate in an ultimate way like only you can. I, like countless others who believed in you will always believe in myself. ~~~ 6/16/21. ~~~ Kathy

P.S. While in the store last week, my total came to $16.00. The cashier said that was her first even number that day. Then, she asked what that was on my arm. I just said a tattoo. Nobody really notices my Warrior logo much anymore. She said it was cool… I didn’t put it all together until later.

It was a Wednesday when I blog Warrior writings, the total was 16, ( Warrior’s bday a week early) and her noticing my tattoo. Yes, I realize some may say it’s a “stretch” but not for me. I usually do get something around his bday and that was it. πŸ’™A three count too!

From Parts Unknown…

Ah yes… This expression was used often by the Ultimate Warrior as it became quite famous in of itself. It actually is still referenced today but again as with most concepts he used, it goes deeper. I’m going a little deeper today as I thought of what to share. My thoughts go from sharing to not, details that will be accepted or freak some of you out, and all that in between. Well, after having a few similarities with some other men in my life, I decided to express my views to all of you.

Hold onto those ropes warriors because this post is kinda different and personal in a new way. Just to preface— I’m not getting religious or even super spiritual but just trying to help you find connectors despite perhaps a sad subject. I’m also not going overboard on emotion but explaining details that involve a three count of my uncle, father- in-law, and Warrior. All three have passed but they share some aspects of parts unknown together. They also share parts in my book Spirit and Belief. Now, they are in a blog post together. Imagine that!

All three had the Universe working to keep them around for a few events in their lives before heading up to parts unknown. My uncle had experienced ill health for a while and by the year 2002, was getting worse. First, it was my wedding and then 2 weeks later was my cousin’s who is his youngest daughter. Little did I know with all the planning just how sick he truly was. Here’s another 222 I referenced last week. Our wedding happened, 2 weeks after was my cousin’s, and then 2 weeks later my uncle passed away. I don’t fully know if he asked to be kept around just to be part of these weddings but am so grateful he was. Not only was he my uncle but he was also my godfather. Even though it became a huge loss, he got to be there for those family celebrations. I needed to see the good.

My father-in-law ( who has a big story in my book but my uncle gets a spirit visit dream mention) shared a little bit of a family event just in a smaller way. I won’t describe my experience in the book but in 2009 after surviving the previous year with many problems, he passed a few days after my son’s 5th birthday. We had promised this boy a small family party at Chuck E. Cheese for months now and he was so excited. Nobody wants someone to pass on their birthday although my uncle above did pass on one of his grandson’s birthdays. It was sad then but I like to look at it as a special connection they have now.

Back to my father-in-law’s story. I did ask to please keep him around so our excited boy could celebrate his special day. I know prayers or requests aren’t always answered in the way we hope but for this time, it was. When my husband visited his Dad in the hospital early that morning, he wished his grandson a happy 5th birthday. Parts unknown delivered and even though my father-in-law wasn’t able to join us, he was still here just less than an hour away.

That takes us to Warrior. I know fans will always speculate on so many details of his passing and I’m not dwelling on the sadness. We all have questions like: “Did he know he was dying?” or “Did he ask to just have that weekend before he goes?” Oh, so many, many more that are not for us to know. Despite all that, the Universe up in parts unknown kept him here to become part of WWE history with WMXXX weekend. I thank God or our Creator, Source, and anything you’d like to call it for keeping him around during all of that. It could have been so much worse with what happened based on where, how, who, and all those extra details. I have my questions always too but we need the good warriors, we ultimately do. πŸ’™

With all three of these men, the Universe up in parts unknown delivered some sadness but enabled the good to happen first. Can you connect this to anyone or other situations in your life? It doesn’t have to be passed loved ones at all but maybe just perhaps some events that universally lined up in a certain way. I realize there is never a perfect time for anything as we have our lives to live.

Maybe you got that job raise just when a new baby arrived in your home. Perhaps even you had an outdoor event scheduled, had to change it but luckily your change resulted in a sunny day. Had it not been switched, a rainout would’ve happened. Look at situations like that warriors. We have to because up in parts unknown, they want us happy. Things won’t always work out as we plan them to but eventually we will see the good. Just be open to it.

Of course I didn’t want any of those men to pass away then and I went thru all the stages of grief like we all do. Whether or not you believe in these universal aspects, just know with the right perspective, you’ll understand parts unknown a little better. When looking back on all three, I know the Universe I believe in was helping on those days. My uncle, father-in-law, and Warrior don’t know each other but I DO know they are grateful having been around to experience a few more celebrated days. I love them all and know they love me always from parts unknown… πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

My Warrior Therapy πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‘ŠπŸ»

You want some more?”

That’s what the Ultimate Warrior was saying above. He was motioning to Bobby Heenan at ringside during his 1989 Summerslam match against Ravishing Rick Rude. U.W. won the IC belt back. So, you warriors want more? You got it, here it is. I’m getting a little more personal with my current health issues but like a warrior, I’m doing the work because I always believe. πŸ’œβœ¨

The last several months have been quite the “ultimate challenge” for me. Mostly it has to do with GI issues that I finally had evaluated. As a warrior, I tried so hard figuring this out on my OWN but finally realized I needed help. Even warriors need help, remember that post? So, after a CT scan in the ER and an appointment with a GI doctor, I had some results. Turns out he recommended a colonoscopy to find the root cause. The prep drink- NOT FUN! I kept saying: “I am a warrior…” thru it all. I have diverticulosis (a mild form but is genetic in my family) and an ulcer. So many people around me are sharing their stories and also spiritual folks like myself with similar GI problems. Makes me feel so ultimately loved. Now, I think it’s a little bit of a gluten sensitivity. Could just be ulcer related, I don’t know for sure… Do I need ultimate support here or what?

All of this has caused much stress which led to back and shoulder pain. I decided my home remedies were o.k. but not enough. Do I contact a chiropractor( almost Warrior’s profession back then) or a physical therapist? Hmmm. They are similar for sure and when I looked up info a few words clotheslined me about chiropractors: “inspire and empower.” Wow. Sounds like Warrior, right? People who may still not fully identify with his spiritual nature need to remember how this field of study isn’t just the physical body but the holistic spiritual one. It’s all healing and Warrior has always been my therapy anyway. I look to him for inspiration and empowerment just like his first possible profession.

I decided on a PT because of other body parts giving me problems, geez… πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈThe woman I used to sit for goes to him and I got plenty of feedback from others. My husband and I had gone to the Vitamin Health Shoppe to get some probiotics and happened to mention my back situation with the sales lady. She pulled out a card of someone her daughter sees and it was the SAME PT the woman I sat for uses! There’s two signs warriors so I called him.

He is the perfect person for me and as soon as I walked into the office, I knew. He had hawk bird feathers which is one of my spirit animalsπŸͺΆ, some crystals which I also use, and many books on religions of the world including Buddhism and Christianity. So many others as books are for me too! One would assume books on the body or PT would abound but nope, didn’t see any of those! Already knowing I was gonna love him and I do as we bonded over many topics. We could talk for hours and seemed to that first session. His beliefs are very similar to mine as I even mentioned my writing to him. Seems that my dear friend told him I wrote a book but left the details to me. πŸ₯° He was fascinated and asked what I blog about. He won’t know this one concerns him. 🀫He is quite the spiritual guy believing in alternative methods to heal the body besides traditional medicine. I know we need them also sometimes but it’s about empowerment with PT too.

Another aspect that Warrior wanted was to educate and that is definitely what all this is teaching me. I am doing better but it’s trial and error many days. I do have an Energy Healing session soon so she’s had GI issues too. Talk about the right people coming into my life at the right time. So many of you may not connect but I need to heal in different ways and with my beliefs, the energy healer is a step in the right direction. After all, Warrior was much about that in those two dreams I had recently…

I have a Warrior up in “parts unknown” always and despite these difficult situations, I won’t ever give up. That’s not part of a Warrior’s creed to do so. I am very grateful to have the help I need while still being inspired and empowered everyday. I realize many may experience more challenges than me but as warriors, we battle on.

Even though he didn’t become that chiropractor, Warrior served others in many different ways. We need to do that too. These recent experiences are paving the road for me to share this story so I can serve in my OWN warrior way. Wishing you all holistic health with an ultimate dose of inspiration and empowerment! πŸ’ͺ🏻

A Documentary and DREAMS… πŸ’™πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏻😴🦬

*** A day early once again as I have quite the busy time tomorrow!***

Warrior Fans- how are ya? I totally forgot to mention last week about some possible great news. Recently I was contacted by a reputable producer/ writer/director of Roaming Buffalo Films. He is in the process of working on a documentary about Warrior with A&E. He found my blog and wanted to explore more in regards to Warrior’s spiritual side. We had a wonderful conversation as he has met Dana, her girls, and Warrior’s mother. I am so completely humbled as he wants to show some different aspects of Warrior’s life and asked my opinion on several. I will definitely share more as this fascinating story develops! STAY TUNED!!! All waiting on WWE approval as well. Also, I totally connected this to my dream of a few years ago: “Wild Warrior Buffalo Woman” blogged 10/16/19. ~~~ I was involved in a documentary with Warrior about buffaloes. Can you connect those ultimate dots??? WOW…

Well, it’s hard to top that while thinking about today’s topic. πŸ€”When these most recent dreams happened, I told myself they wouldn’t be blogged. Probably because I’m going thru a lot emotionally, spiritually, and physically right now and anything from Warrior is so personal to me. I decided to share since that’s what I do plus wanting to educate you all. It’s never to brag or boast so I hope you don’t think that.

The first dream took place at a beach with Warrior, Dana, and myself. It was so simple with us three enjoying the sand, waves, and watching the sun in the distance. β˜€οΈπŸŒŠπŸ–We were laughing and splashing each other while in the water up to our knees. I don’t live near an ocean and neither did they but it was so incredible. No memory of much conversation but oh so fun just being there content without any cares. I’ve had a few with Dana so it’s extra special seeing them both together and me included. PLUS, she was also in the Buffalo dream mentioned earlier. Check it out… Humility wins again as dreams just come sometimes with little control on our part. Look for the beautiful messages in yours too.

The next one is something so obvious and I am very surprised it has never happened before. I was actually in an arena watching the Ultimate Warrior do his thing! Get this– he was with WCW for the dream as I recently just used two WCW pics of him on this blog. No clue who his opponent was but both men were outside the ring. I had a front row seat so could see all the action. Don’t know who won as that really wasn’t included. Just the fact that I was there meant everything. You better believe I was ultimately excited!!! I always thought that would’ve been my first dream ever because it makes sense but nope, not at all. At least I was finally at a match. I’ll take it even if not WWF. (WWE) (:

The last two involved more of my spiritual life and very poignant for me. Over the past year, I’ve had so many different symptoms and discussed some with my psychic post late last Dec. 2019. They have intensified and can be quite scary at times. I have had medical help and am still but I do believe some require a different kind of healing. Some days are better than others but it’s been a long battle. I know it’s leading me somewhere so been asking for lots of guidance. I AM a warrior and we always believe!

A few Sunday afternoons ago, I decided to take a nap. Those are part of my life more as I have these energy depleting days. Well, while napping I remember two dreams both with the same message. TWO.. That’s when we need to pay attention more and of course they involved Warrior or I wouldn’t be sharing.

The first one showed me as an Energy Healer. There are so many kinds of healing methods and guess I was very well known as a healer in that area. I was asked to come heal Warrior with my energy. Here’s the more interesting part. He was some kind of tribal King with his “subjects” gathered around. Quite regal. I know wrestling fans are thinking “King of the Ring” but it was more like “The Lion King.” Remember that post of mine? More Native really. This might sound crazy to some but we all do need healing in many ways-inside and out. I was overwhelmed to be asked but so wanted to use my gift to help him. We spent some time talking and my training as a healer benefitted his energy so he could eliminate lots of negativity. I know this topic isn’t for everyone but truly think about it. All of us have trauma, past experiences, and toxic stuff we need gone. We don’t always need traditional medicine either. I know I have healing abilities but still not quite sure how to use them. Warrior’s energy I will take in any form so it was an amazing dream.

The last dream involved this same topic. I was sitting on my bed when the phone rang. I thought it was my husband saying he was running late from work. It was not him. It was Warrior as I just listened. He says: “Hey, it’s just me. I have to tell you all about this Energy workshop I went to recently. It was so cool and I feel so much better... truly amazing and I couldn’t wait to tell you!” *** There was a little more with his words as he was so happy and laughing all at once. I never spoke, just listened. I do plan on seeing an Energy Healer soon as it totally connects for me.

Many years ago, I got a different kind of message thru a phone call about my father-in-law who was alive at the time. That one’s in my book Spirit and Belief. To receive messages thru the phone is indeed remarkable and Warrior’s messages, I don’t ignore.

So, a documentary and dreams for you this week. Take it all in as you wish but I believe in messages always. Warrior is with me and to have so many dreams lately means the world considering what I’m going thru right now. Thank you all for reading. Keep track of your OWN messages however they come. You might be surprised how they influence your life. Warrior’s energy, mine, yours, and everyone are all connected. Let’s all be storytellers, dreamers, and healers to keep his legacy moving onward. ⚑️πŸ”₯

β€œAura of Dreams”

***I know warriors, no true post this week BUT something came up unexpectedly and I just have to share!

My cousin who is also a published author collaborates on different video series and his most recent one “Aura of the Soul” he sent to me. He and another author had mentioned our dreaming state and few recollections on their part. I jotted down notes and said I was their gal on that!

He asked me if I was interested in doing a dream series with him where we’d tackle or “wrestle” with questions such as:

Does everyone dream?

Does our soul astral travel?

Do dreams hold messages for us?

So much more!

Well, you fans KNOW how important dreams have been on this journey of mine with Warrior so I am very excited to be working on this project with him. This is a sneak peek video and it’s slated for mid-January. I’ll post it on all my social sites when completed.

If any of you out there are into science fiction or horror find him at A.L. Mengel.

Disciplines of Destrucity

*** Before I begin today, just wanted to share with you Warrior fans some news. It was recently brought to my attention that Dana and Steve have taken down the Ultimate Warrior website. ( U.W.com) Am not sure of when this happened but since I have referenced it, it needed to be stated on here. I totally respect their privacy and decision although it has saddened me…. No details of course but perhaps financial or even not as much content anymore, it’s anybody’s guess. If looking for gear, the WWE shop may still have U.W. items but so wish his artwork was available to view ): For those who already knew, my heart is sad 😒 but we need to try and understand their reasons which am sure were difficult to make. ~~~ You all still have ME as I was told fans want stories more now than ever. I am humbled and will continue his legacy like I always have while creating one of my OWN..,

Whew…. O.K, moving on warriors…

Destrucity was Warrior’s word in which he constructed eight unique disciplines of self-belief. I share a brief story in my book Spirit and Belief about hanging up that word with its explanations on my bedroom wall 24 years ago. I love it’s tri-fold meaning ( a 3 count works well ya know!πŸ˜‰) That photo you see is from his first comic book but you will also notice Destrucity in the book A Life Lived Forever. This one however adds the third meaning of destiny and reality that the larger book omits.

Interestingly enough, Buddhism also has a system of eight. Their beliefs entail an eightfold path for life purpose. Not exactly like Destrucity but action and effort matter in both. You can look up all those but I always wondered if Warrior knew the Buddhism similarity. Makes me think for sure. πŸ€” He lists the first discipline as physical. This makes sense since we are physical beings here on Earth but remember the spirit is truly who we are. We have a mind that also connects to that true essence of us.

Obviously I connected with this tremendously back then or it wouldn’t have been written down and hung up. I remember getting one of those yellow legal pads and cutting a sheet of paper in half. Warrior lists matches for WMVI on that kind of paper in the book if you have a copy– just sayin’! Then, I used a red sharpie ( jogging that memory) and wrote them out with my own calligraphy style. They weren’t just words I wanted to write because they came from him. I was inspired and needed this idea in my life too. I never questioned the why of that word or any of its meanings. My soul knew it was part of my destiny also.

No, I was not nor will ever be as disciplined as he was but became willing to understand a new way of thinking. It took me years but finally I did apply some Destrucity to my life with meaning. I loved how he invented a new word with his style of belief. I actually do this too and get teased by my husband often. Mine are of course simpler and funny. Our pool jet is called the “bubbler” by me and I said that forever growing up with my first pools. I say the wind feels “blowy” outside and a few others. Do you have your own words too? I think it’s great to have a little secret language but one others will get if they know us. I’m usually the grammar queen but sometimes we just create what works. Formalities aren’t my thing necessarily and I know Warrior was like that too. They don’t always need to be a synonym but an actual new word of your invention.

You may not have Disciplines of Destrucity as an active force in your life but I bet you have others. Disciplines are tough unless they’re something we like or want to do. Not liking or needing make them more of a challenge. Instead of listing many disciplines on here, ask yourself what the hardest one is to do for you. It can be anything at all from personal situations to professional ones. Our free will always determines the disciplines we give the energy to. We need it all to thrive- yin and yang everyday.

I also made the connection with that number eight. He passed on April 8th which is so synchronistic with his disciplines being eight. So, we do have another three count with eight. Destrucity, Buddhism, and that unfortunate Tuesday in April 2014. Wow… This happens all the time and some ideas I don’t even have written ahead as notes.

So, warriors- do you follow a set of self-beliefs similar to Destrucity? I wished I would’ve saved the paper to use for this post but gained so much more on my journey. We need to always believe in order to succeed. Self-belief is also about self-care and without it, we are no good to others. I mention this often on my other site and it’s vital to our lives everyday. Warrior has integrity and wisdom listed as two disciplines also. Those will resonate with all of us in ways we choose on our life path.

You may think his Warrior way of Destrucity and self-belief was crazy but break it down smaller. Look for opportunities to apply it in any circumstance. Without beliefs, we truly cannot fully exist. My reason for writing it down then remains the same today. Thank you Warrior for your Destrucity as I believe in myself always! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’–πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ₯°πŸ”₯
