“Hi Kathy” of 35 years! 👏🏻💪🏻

You might not know what that saying in the title references, but you will soon. I am not super vain, ha ha! I wanted this month’s “selfie” to be kind of crazy 🤪 but then thought to end my 3️⃣ count. I had done 3 pics with either UW or W in the past and this is my 4th. Oh my goodness, I mentioned the number 4 after all~~~ who would’ve guessed that? The end of August brings up all the past SummerSlams since that was when they were always held. Yes, it is still summer warriors but now we are in the Astro season of Virgo, ♍️ my birth sign. That pic of UW below was from SummerSlam ’89 with its 35th anniversary being TODAY. Yet another milestone on my blog day. With that in mind, I just had to pose with UW winning back the belt from “Ravishing” Rick Rude. Tomorrow, marks the 36th of the very first SummerSlam ’88 when UW won the IC title after HTM’s long reign…

OK, do you wanna know the title reference? Maybe longtime readers will remember. Near the beginning of the match as UW is standing on the ropes acknowledging the crowd, someone holds up a sign. I had mentioned it years ago while almost choking on my lunch! 😯Maybe some of you have seen your name on a sign but me? Never. It’s not common nowadays as most ladies would seem older. There are some words underneath but I could never make them out. I would love to know. So, whoever that other Kathy was (and spelled the same,) she got a shout out at the second biggest PPV then in the WWF (E.) It is right in view along with UW but I had used that pic back in 2019. Yes, I did check.

I also did a little more math as I tend to do sometimes on here. All you guys or gals who were young when you watched WWF, well~~~ it is generational for sure. If you watched and actually remember matches, promos, characters, or any of it from the past, then you’d have to be at least 40~~~ AT LEAST 40 to have those memories. Any younger would not. 43 to possibly remember “Hulkamania!” I am not referring to the early 80s much here, just late 80s. They say we have our earliest memories at around age 3 so UW debuted there in 1987. You can do that easy math. I had just started my senior year in high school (probably anyway) so I was almost 17. To get those spiritual signs several years back and then to see an actual sign on ” The Ultimate Collection” DVD was just amazing to me. 🤭

May and August fly by or should I say RUN 🏃🏻‍♀️ fast for me. It’s a lot with the kids as those months are swamped with so much stuff, I feel like I’m in a wrestling 🤼 match sometimes! Do you have those moments when activities seem the busiest? I bet you do. We are getting a heat spell now after a colder week. Our pool is still open so we aren’t always the ones to automatically close it Labor Day weekend. I talked my husband out of that a few years back. Even though it technically isn’t that holiday weekend here yet, it does make me think of what WAS happening in my family 35 years ago. Just after SummerSlam a few days later, we headed to Michigan for a family reunion on my Dad’s side. It was also to celebrate the early birthday of my Grandma who was turning 75 in October. I have that special evening on tape, but unfortunately it is on VHS. 😕 Such a great memory it was. A few years ago, my youngest aunt just turned that age and HER kids along with the grandkids threw her a big birthday bash too! Almost 35 years in between with her mom, but not quite. 🥳

If old enough readers, can you recall something significant in your life of 35 years ago? Anything that happened would be back in 1989. Hard to believe 1990 will turn 35 next year. 😳 I can imagine many things which takes me back to living in my childhood home and it seems like a lifetime ago. It’s just like I always say, it can be feelings of yesterday and then ages passed all rolled into one. I’m sure you know what I mean as this becomes our emotions on everything. I’m not trying to be a downer or anything but just to think back and reflect on a different time.

I do hope this month has given you special times as well. We take it all in, however it is but I wish you all the good your heart can hold. September will be here soon as that brings my birthday month. I have photos lined up so stay tuned for those. One I just did research on recently as yet more info was sent my way. You’ll read all about it next time. 😉How are we almost done with 2024? Well, when you are crazy busy like I’ve been~~~ it blasts like a rocket all loaded up with fuel! 🚀 A few family milestones are left as I finally find it winding down some. Both kids are getting more adjusted to college as I can breathe a little more easier. This year has been so incredibly packed, there’s no more room in the gear bag!

Happy 35th to SummerSlam ’89 (among all those other events of that year,) but especially any in the WWF (E.) I do still watch some matches or promos and YES~~~ a few in September will be talked about as they connect to me. Enjoy the end of the month and soon fall will be upon us here in my “arena.” College football games are coming too! 🏈Hi 👋to all or any Kathys out there reading. There could be some! Let me know if you are one. I wonder what happened to the girl who was mentioned on the sign? She made history too and she might not even have known it…

More Warrior Close-UPS 💙

I just had to do a continuation of a few weeks ago with ” The Warrior WHAT’s?” I told you I’d find some more and I did. If you look at the photo below, you’ll see number 5️⃣ on that list with the trunks that inspired my head tilt. Oh, and SPOILER ALERT… “Most Wanted Treasures” mentioned THOSE trunks as I had no idea. 😉🤭 More on that in a few weeks. Glad that episode was finally shown- yay!!! They are there as I went- hmmm… 🤔 I wanted more sillies because I need to laugh. It is the dog days of summer, right? No, wait, that’s August. How about the lazy, hazy days? No, wait, I am seldom lazy. We all deserve to be from time to time though. After just having my daughter’s graduation party👩🏻‍🎓 (with many personalities there…) on Saturday, and her college orientation yesterday, this mom deserves a Warrior break so here it is for today.

It is a 3️⃣ count (as you haven’t read that in a while) with those Warrior close-ups he seemed to be more famous for than others. I had watched the old WWF for years like I’ve said so answer me this fans. Don’t you think the Ultimate Warrior had many more zoom in pics, promos, or close-up shots than most? I’m not sure, but that camera always was going close to either his face or other physical traits of his. I might be biased but come on~ I still don’t wanna see nose hairs, earwax, or tonsils! I never did but it seemed that way sometimes didn’t it? Some guys also perhaps got those extreme close shots but honestly, I really don’t know. After all though, U.W. WAS the sexy rockstar at the time. Just sayin’… 😏🔥

Close-up number 1️⃣. Shortly after Warrior won the title from Hulk, they did this different promo of sorts. I have it on ” The Ultimate Collection” DVD but I’m sure it’s elsewhere. It starts like an outer space scene with lightning bolts all over. Then, colors shoot out of his eyes as they zoom in to his chest which has the painted logo and those flexed pecs, once again. He holds up the belt but yeah, didn’t know all that was going to happen when I first saw it. 🙂‍↔️ I actually did use that as a pic several years ago! Sorry Hulk fans, but I just can’t picture HIM doing that unless he did other types of promos as champ, who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Close-up number 2️⃣. This one I actually got wrong at first as I was confusing interviews. I thought it was before an “SNME” match against Haku where Mean Gene interviewed U.W. but no! This one was shortly before the 1991 “Royal Rumble” where Gene (I got that part right) interviews the Ultimate Warrior prior to his “loss” against Sergeant Slaughter thanks to ” The Macho King.” 😡. Anyways, during that interview those pecs move again, although briefly. How do you guys do that anyway? 😂There were other times but these just came to my mind. You probably are thinking this is an entire post on THAT but I assure you, it is not! I just wanted to do another lighthearted one to escape from the CRAZY summer I’ve had and continue to have. If you’re not into this one, hopefully I’ll catch ya next week…

Close-up number 3️⃣ . This last one is also from 1991 which follows U.W.’s ongoing feud with ” The Macho King.” Warrior had to get his revenge during WMVII and he did. It was the only time he walked to the ring without running. I had never heard why but I could think of reasons. I love the duster jacket he wore with images of him and Randy, as well as the matching kneepads. That takes us to the trunks. Yep, ending with those again so no flexing of the glutes, ha ha! The cameras zoom in once more to see them in an extreme close-up. There’s a pic of the belt with the caption of ” Means More Than This.” THAT was also talked about on “Most Wanted Treasures” as I would’ve had no idea! I write my blogs almost a week in advance as some may know… I can’t imagine the camera shot though on that one!!! It DID mean more than the belt as Warrior respected Randy so much but got the three count for the pin just like today. At least I’m ending with something other than his chest, right?

Well, there you have it. If I notice any others, no part three despite us wrestling fans loving that count. No explanation either as true fans KNOW this is not my typical type of post which will echo Warrior’s trunk statement of “means more than this.” Yep, sure does~ especially as time went by. We are all more than what is perceived but in that business, you get those close-ups that is for sure. Those trunks could’ve been my pic this week but, NOOO… 🫨

I actually have an update on the magazine issue from last week. I’m just an honest person so I couldn’t stand it anymore! I decided to just open up PayPal and figure it out. I’m sure others do it all the time but I haven’t in several years. It just was so confusing to me as my payments usually went through a person, not a business email. I did apologize for the late transaction as I’m sure they have received it. My thing was~ I didn’t want them suing me or anything like that for not paying, ha ha. It was a month ago when all this started so I paid a little late, I’ve been BUSY! I also am not paying for both mags because that was their error so technically, I did get one free. Not returning it either so that’s on them. $25 for two magazines is still a lot even though they pay shipping. It’s a business though. Once in a while, freebies are nice and they don’t happen much so I’m taking it. It isn’t stealing like oops- ( those other stories… 🫣) but their mistake~ not mine.

They haven’t even asked for the money so quite possibly could’ve forgotten? My honesty gets in the way so I needed to rectify. I had a good month though, and it was a one time deal. Never again. You warriors enjoy the rest of this month as August is coming soon. Both my kids will be in college, how is that possible? 😵‍💫This mama heart of mine needs a calming break. Once they are settled in and begin school again, I will breathe easier but then have another set of worries. Such is the life I chose..

So, enjoy all the close-ups in your life warriors since they go by in the blink of an eye. My selfie for this month is coming, but nothing extreme and no flexing! 🤣

P.S. Us girls cannot flex those pecs on our chest, but we can shimmy! 💃

The Warrior WHAT’s?😏😬

Here we are at the end of another month warriors, as I resume these writings after taking last week off. More on that vacation in a different post as this one is “JACKED” with lots of well, you’ll get the idea if you just look at my selfie. It’s a fun one so I hope you stick around until the final bell rings🛎️if you will.

I initially wanted to call this post: “Things that Make you Go Hmmm…” like the C & C Music Factory song but decided to go with my own title instead. I thought of 5️⃣ things but numbers 3 and 5 I knew or at least were aware of prior. 3 are songs or lyrics and 2 reference gear or perhaps Warrior’s look at the time .

Let’s “lock up” and start this match.

Here’s number one.

First up is when Warrior partnered with Sting back when they were: “The Blade Runners.” The music they used was: Styx’s “Castle Walls.” This I had known for a while, but only because someone commented on a YouTube video. I did know that song, but forgot that instrumental part which totally fit with The Blade Runners vibe I think. Look up the song as there’s one lyric which struck me. It’s about destiny at the end. Do you think Warrior was influential with choosing the song or maybe it was chosen for them? I don’t know but just a little trivia once again. I can see him beginning his destiny even back then. This starts the Warrior WHAT’s?

Number two.

Did you fans know when Warrior was Dingo, his theme music briefly became Bonnie Tyler’s blockbuster hit: “Holding Out for a Hero” from the movie: “Footloose?” My girl just was part of her school musical in the spring, where the kids performed “Footloose” so very nostalgic for me. I love all the songs! 🥹I never knew he used that song, only “The Warrior” by Scandal. Perfect song for him, don’t you think? 

Number three.

This one is about Ultimate Warrior’s gear. This one is also probably quite common. Warrior had said he didn’t want to necessarily accentuate his looks but yeah, very much talked about~~~ A LOT… When Warrior and “Macho Man” Randy Savage tag teamed in a match versus “The Nasty Boys” during the SummerSlam Spectacular event in 1992, the Ultimate Warrior came out in a nude singlet. 😮If you read comments on this match from YouTube, the match itself barely gets mentioned but most are asking if Warrior was NAKED?! Really people? 🫢Use your brains, 🧠 but it just shows you what the topic mostly was about. Why did he wear that? Maybe just to garner more attention with him and Randy or to be different as he always was. I’m not entirely sure but boy was that ever the issue. Yeah, he painted his bare A**!!! 😂😜

Here’s number four.

We are back to songs again here. This one also references Warrior’s look as well (or at least in my mind…) Many fans may be aware of some guys after leaving WWF(E), went to Germany in 1995 with their CWA for a bit. Warrior had several matches but of course couldn’t use his theme music of “Unstable” so what to use? Well, I happened to come across some videos a while back as no, I am not looking them up all the time. I saw Warrior come out and thought that music sounded like a band I knew. I kept listening and then finally looked it up. The song is: ” Sticky Sweet” by Mötley Crüe. Not as popular on the radio as some of their others. That’s another song you can look up with some of the lyrics. Warrior was definitely playing to many of those physical attributes of his if you know the song. 😏 That brings out that girl who is always waving at me 🙋🏻‍♀️as I see her~~~ she makes me giggle but I don’t push her aside anymore. She is there for a reason, and I applaud 👏🏻 her. Great song and it worked for The Warrior for sure. I can be biased, but it’s all ME!!! He wore pants then too, there is a line in the song about that. 👖🔥😉

This last one of number five brings us to 1996 involving Ultimate Warrior’s feud with Jerry “The King” Lawler for “The King of the Ring” tournament. 👑This final one is that girl coming back… 🫣On “The Ultimate Collection” DVD, Warrior mentions how he was in the best shape of his life then and coming back after being gone 3.5 years, he wanted to give people what they remembered about the character~~~ namely, his look. They show right at that moment a clip of U.W. and I always noticed his trunks. You’ll read why… Maybe you don’t or haven’t but I just laughed once again right when he says: “his look…” ( meaning the U.W. character,) my head tilts the side. Why? Well, I’ll tell you… His trunks which of course depict the famous logo. He had put 2 on the front pointing inward along with the back so they are positioned just so on the side. Yep, I noticed. His look! Kathy had tilt, ha ha! I promise that is *** NOT*** typically me as I loved when his face paint would wear off but with that intro, how could I not make that connection? I was not always looking SOUTH! 🙂‍↔️Come on guys reading~~~ you notice the ladies and their physicalities right? Why were the logos sideways and not straight? Maybe there wasn’t enough room. WHY??? Always makes me giggle every time as Warrior knew what he was doing. I bet he noticed, but if not, it makes my WHAT’s? list for sure!

There you have it readers. My top 5 of Warrior WHAT’s that made me go hmmm. 🤔I bet you fans can think of your own. Maybe in a future post, I’ll list some others.

P.S. I laughed when writing this as some go way back in my memory but some found their way to me in other ways… Yeah, yeah, I still see her waving. 👋 ☺️

Bad Influence? Nah…🖤🤍💪🏻

It is May. A super busy month for me with so much going on as this is just the beginning… 🥹😭😳 It’ll go fast but like I need to do~~~ breathe through it all and take one day at a time. More milestones as usual and even yet another pic near the very end of this month, but that is weeks away. Today brings “The Blade Runners” part of Warrior’s career into focus ( should I say “FOKE!”) as those pics have never been used. 2 more I believe will be added as NEW but you will have to wait until June to see those. I never posted from that time either so now, they are “running” your way. “Freedom Fighters” pics~~~ I’ve shown a few, but never from his Blade Runner days. There were some creepy poses I couldn’t even look at to use! 😱If I hadn’t known, never could you convince me that guy was Warrior, never.

Bad influence was written on their shirts when working down in Memphis so that got my wheels turning. Many guys (like you all that are fans know) start their careers as heels, villains, or bad- whatever you like to call it. Warrior and Sting were superheroes first as the Freedom Fighters but good guys don’t get notice much, do they? I can and totally disagree but business dictates otherwise sometimes. With a career such as pro wrestling, it’s a lot different being a bad influence than let’s say being that way at the office. You could get fired but in wrestling, people pay more attention to the villains it seems. In our real life, we sometimes feel the need to be “BAD” in order for others to acknowledge us. Yes, Roman Reigns, we acknowledged you.

Who or what are your bad influences and why? It can be exciting for sure but honestly, some of us (like me) just aren’t “wired” for that stuff. Would I have liked Warrior and Sting as the Blade Runners ? Probably not. OK, they were built but as readers know with me, creepy doesn’t work. I would’ve missed the Freedom Fighters with their American look. That’s just me though. When Warrior was younger, he had mentioned getting into trouble but not like the issues of today. He had his reasons for doing so and I believe there were many but when older, nah… I’m not talking about his issues with WWE and wrestling but other legalities. He said Vince and Co. didn’t even have a traffic ticket on him to throw back and say: “See, you ____ ___ .” You can fill in the blank with those two words from that infamous DVD which they were going for back in 2005.

I have posted how my “little” bad things would get noticed but not like others who would do way more destructive or illegal acts. We all choose based on experiences we find ourselves in and don’t want labels attached. When I was in high school, one year I received perfect attendance which is quite the honor and nowadays, my kids had also. Well, being typecast like I was, “perfect” (No, not “Mr. Perfect,” – ha-ha) would never happen again. We all have faked being sick to stay home as kids do but I had my main reason~~~ to not get that award again which embarrassed me. Today, I would be darn proud of being healthy all year but back then, those teen feelings of being seen different as a peer crept in. I wanted and needed to be bad but by MY standards which were still pretty tame.

I also snuck out of class early once to purposely get a detention the next day. I convinced a friend of mine to tag along and she did! Back then though, you’d just work off the detention with the teacher during lunch without staying after school. No big deal. At least yet again, I wasn’t always that “good” girl. I would be so mad at my kids for doing that but we all go through lessons and the pressure is real, at any age. Those are both probably very lame to all reading and being in the present now, I am proud to have done mostly the right things despite not being a bad influence. Don’t get me wrong though. There were plenty of times where I just wanted to do something shocking. I’m not saying a horrific crime here, just stuff unexpected for me but that’s just it, isn’t it? We do all that for others and then possibly feel bad (in a different way) afterwards. Was it worth it? You get to decide. I had stolen a few little items but then went to the store and paid for them. This was way back in my memory while recalling a candy bar 🍫or nail polish💅. Let’s not forget the precious U.W. items I acquired, but those stories have been told. 

We do need to get out of that comfort zone like I have many times. I surprised folks I know years ago with writing a book 📗 so it’s ideas like that we can focus on for the good influences, not bad. Warrior was never a bad influence to me, ever. Maybe as his character he felt that need for power which came across, but it was more about success for him. Sometimes other factors got in the way, but I wouldn’t look at him and think what others may have thought. He was a good guy like he said in his HOF speech but just did life his way. Did that make him a bad influence? Nah… Blade Runners could’ve been but I for one noticed Warrior despite that past. His influence on me was far too great to be bad. I always saw past those “flaws” others inflicted on him. So grateful to know why now. Let’s stick to the good. You’ll get noticed by the right ones. As Warrior had said: “it’s never wrong to do the right thing.” 👍☺️👏🏻

The Stories We Tell… 🤫🙄😬

Oh, my yes. The stories we tell, they tell, she tells, he tells, or anybody else tells. I’m bringing wrestling back into this arena for a topic today. First off though, who remembers (yes, you have to be older here!) playing the game of “telephone” as a kid? One person would whisper a saying or phrase in another’s ear, and then it gets passed through the group until the last one says it out loud. If you get it right, super! Most times, it is all mixed up and misunderstood. Then, we have a good laugh but as adults, that isn’t always the case. We will get things off about a story from time to time. Sometimes, it can be a memory loss but other times, it can be to keep our ego in check. We might recall an event different than another but is it because it’s too far in our past or because we want to feel better? If you’re wrong, just own up to it as I am doing but others will not ever or just keep telling that story to not be the “bad guy.”

Sergeant Slaughter didn’t start out as a bad guy (a.k.a. “Razor Ramon”) but then later on, he became one. That photo below depicts Ultimate Warrior shooting one of several Sgt. Slaughter promos before their 1991 “Royal Rumble” match. U.W. fans know all too well what happened but here’s a story that’s been told by Sarge himself. I do like Sarge and so glad he and Warrior had a funny reunion moment backstage at the 2014 HOF but about that match… I recently heard him on “80’s wrestling the podcast” and my~~~ is he quite the storyteller! Very interesting guy to listen to and maybe fans know his version of their R. R. match.

According to Sarge, he had no idea Randy was going to hit U.W. in the head with the “royal” scepter, and knock him out. He claims Warrior wasn’t moving so Sarge went in for the cover, pinned U.W. and became the new champ which set him up to wrestle Hulk at WMVII . OK, I have some discrepancies with that. On “The Ultimate Collection” and “Always Believe” DVD’s , Warrior explains how they came to him (meaning Vince and whoever else,) and said Randy would get him to lose the belt which would then set up for WMVII being Sarge versus Hulk plus the retirement match between Warrior and Randy. Warrior says he liked the idea and didn’t really give it much more thought than that.

I could be naïve when it comes to wrestling “scripts” as guys went rogue from time to time, but REALLY? One would not be told all that when winning a title belt and the BIGGEST one? Vince loved Sarge. Come on Sarge, what’s going on there? He knew he’d be winning, but maybe not getting the pin at that exact moment of Warrior getting knocked out. He tells the story of thinking Randy really clobbered Warrior with that scepter since he used to play baseball so maybe…? 🤔 Was Warrior really knocked unconscious for a bit? I don’t know and don’t believe he ever addressed that in any interview I have seen. Perhaps nobody ever thought to ask Warrior about that. Would Vince just let them be that spontaneous when a title was on the line? Why wouldn’t Sarge know? So many questions. Quite possibly this is a story WWE wants Sarge to tell for dramatic reasons but we all are guilty of these E’s~~~ embellish, exaggerate, and eliminating parts. Yep, it’s true. We might even elaborate, but with me, it’s a good thing.

Maybe in fame, the stories they tell need those E’s to create a ruse with fans keeping them guessing all these years later. I’m not sure, but in real life honesty matters as there are those who still want to always come out looking good. If anyone can correctly tell the REAL story of that 1991 Rumble match, I would love to hear it. Many folks in these wrestling circles just assume without even checking other sources. Maybe Warrior knew more as well but he isn’t here anymore to ask. Sarge is though. It’s a great story but filled with gaps if you ask me.

What stories have you told that maybe got another wondering about the details? I can think of many and most involve my siblings and remembering memories just a little differently. I’m rarely wrong because of my memory as I stated before but sometimes, a few people are WAY off. It bugs me. The wrestling business is filled with tons of stories told. Just watch those “shoot” interviews I’ve mentioned which I don’t anymore . I so wish fans would stop posting when most are against Warrior .UGH! If you’re in a “fan” group, why bother? It just causes weird drama and comments we don’t need despite what happened in the past. People want their “say” though… “The right story is the full story” like Warrior said, but others may disagree on its validity.

We may not share or tell a story in its entirety for many reasons as Warrior might not have either but sometimes, that’s OK. We all have privacy but also details might not matter in a few areas. It all depends. What bothers me is when I have a happy memory and someone doesn’t remember it the same. 😧 That makes me sad but our memories can be selective. It isn’t just when older either. I do hope the Sarge Rumble story will one day be told correctly but until then, I will have my doubts. I don’t share or tell all MY stories either for my own purposes but when I do, it’s me in all honesty. Fame does have its price but it’s too hefty of a price tag for me… 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😑

P.S. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had told a story on his series “Young Rock” about a time very early in his career on finally getting a push in the business. Whoever he wrestled that night back as Rocky Maivia,( I forget who…) his opponent told him IN the ring- I believe, how “Rocky” would get his first big win. He had no idea and was shocked at the time to know that. So, it happens am sure and maybe today as well, no clue.. That was NOT for a title though! 

Always Ultimate Belief 💙

Hi there warriors. How are you? I hope you are doing well as this new month of March begins. Spring is just around the corner here in my neck of the woods, so I am ready for more of the sun. ☀️ This week I decided to stand by a statement I wrote last week regarding the “Always Believe” DVD. Now that I have finished watching it in its entirety, I do have some views. If anyone hasn’t seen it or even “The Ultimate Collection,” you might not want to read no further. I am not dissecting it all of course but just wanted to touch on a few comparisons and contrasts of both. It’s a rarity I have a part 2 but it has been done before. I also have LOTS of good photos from AB coming up. You’ll be seeing my living room in many… Can you believe it? Another common date is coming soon. You fans can possibly guess based on my writings but that’ll be next month. Let’s stick to today for now.

I will say this, and maybe it’s that teen girl coming out but I love all the promos and interview segments on AB. Sometimes, those get “eye rolled” like I have said when it comes to the nonsensical ramblings of the Ultimate Warrior. They excite me more than a few of the quick little squash matches of AB that I found not entirely necessary. Definitely a few “pause” moments for sure and a biggie for me was Warrior’s backstage interaction with Scott Hall a.k.a. “Razor Ramon.” I know the whys. They were inducted together and I have a few personal stories involving him that have been shared.

His passing last year brought the ringing in my ear just before finding out and he was part of a movie reference years ago. I loved how he said: “What DVD?” Thank you Scott for not bringing up THAT one… Vince’s book “The Little Engine that Could” also gave me pause… 🥹 🚂 That post of mine WAS a part 2 and I have the book as well- in 2 places. Beautiful story and YES Warrior~ you thought you could and you did… I had seen that clip on AB and have it saved…

A different pause for me ( and then I’ll compare a little) was when they mentioned that OTHER DVD. Guess I am talking about it and not Scott… I realize this was part of their lives but what struck me was a “statement” that listed negative aspects of Warrior like a, b, c, etc… I am not repeating them but some were actually laughable to me although probably would’ve angered me back then. One statement I really DID write about out of those 5 listed (not to worry) but *SIGH*, I digress… Both DVD’s did highlight Ultimate Warrior’s major feuds with some Superstars and show different matches so they are nice to have. His beginnings and WCW are also included on U.C. and AB but for me, many more differences than similarities.

So grateful to have WMVI, VII, and XII on U.C. and let’s not forget the book “A Life Lived Forever” which contains lots of content as well. Some repetition with both DVD’s but still cool to look back upon. Now, I can have more references instead of saving much from YouTube. Oh, all 3 were released in an April. Another *SIGH.*

Many matches, promos, and speeches NEVER get old to me and never will. The “Brother Love” segments are always entertaining and I loooove “Amanda Ultimate Warrior.” Seeing his character with kids will forever be etched in my heart. I am very thankful Warrior had his own in 2 beautiful girls who am sure have kept all those amazing hand drawn birthday cards and such from their Daddy. That artistic talent of his was incredible and my girl has it too… 🥰It pulls at my heartstrings every single time… I also love how some autograph signings and his personal barn gym videos were included. A nice addition indeed.

How about the funny from AB because I NEED that too. I love when Warrior mentions “The Golden Era” of the company by saying: “the letter that comes after E!” For all those wondering, he meant how WWE used to be WWF. I laughed at that since I still will use the old name myself at times. Warrior’s talk with Sgt. Slaughter was great too as I had seen it before. I would love to see the actual footage with the 🥔. How cute that he brought a potato to show Warrior! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, that’s ok. Just know it was a funny moment between them. At ease, at ease..

Despite all that had happened, I still love Vince McMahon’s laugh and extra special seeing him laugh during that time instead of always listening thru videos. 😂 On the flip side, the men crying will be a soft spot for me as that trait has always been there in my life but the laughing matters too, it truly does. Warrior introducing his girls to Vince and Triple H as his “babies” is so endearing. I know they knew their names but he says babies about 3 times or so. I wonder what Indy and Mattie were thinking? Thanks Dad but am sure they knew why… 💖💖

What could I do without? Well, let’s see- Papa Shango and Undertaker both come to mind of course. The voodoo man isn’t on U.C. so there’s that. 🙄At least the Ultimate Warrior got his revenge on both. Some other matches were kinda wasteful in my opinion. There is no match with the “Freedom Fighters” on both but according to most, they weren’t that good until the “Blade Runners”, ah well. I would’ve liked to have seen the “mind games” with Goldust which was more entertaining than what they chose from RAW to put on AB. Yes, I know how Warrior’s final match with Owen Hart went down but it was such an odd ending on the DVD. I guess that mirrored real life as Warrior went on and stayed positive like he always did.

There is so much more I can write about but I need to keep moving forward too… Now, I can finally watch his HOF speech all the way through without just seeing clips. I hadn’t seen the whole thing in such a long while… His final RAW speech I won’t watch that often but that’s just me. Other stuff will be on repeat for sure as I have my favorites. I will always have my OWN ultimate belief in Warrior that eclipses his wrestling memories. They will all indeed live forever… 🫶🏻🙏🏻💪🏻

P.S. I wish they could’ve interviewed someone else Warrior worked with like maybe HTM? He always had good stuff to say but just my P.O.V…

I recently had the opportunity to call in to “80’s wrestling the podcast” LIVE last Thurs. 2/9 at 10 AM EST. I have been listening to them for a while now and finally called in- all about WM6! I was also the 1st female caller EVER and my time is around the 9:30 mark into the show. Usually they are about an hour long.. A little longer this time though. It is episode 102 and hosted by Jumpin’ Jay and Tommy Fierro of ISPW. Tommy has a store in New Jersey called:” The Wrestling Collector.” They are all about the Golden Era of the ‘ol WWF years so give them a listen! They DID one on Warrior a while back too. ***Now, onto today’s topic…

I love that photo of the Ultimate Warrior below as it is another one I always thought to use from “The Ultimate Collection” DVD. He looks pretty crazy, doesn’t he? Well, sometimes the character came across that way for sure. If you like, look up any of his stuff or even his post U.W. career. This post obviously is more about me but you regular readers may think I am a little crazy as well, who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Often times, I do try to connect my post with the photo but not always. Today, it all DOES connect as some other little stories came to me that can be funny but at first~ not so much. I initially thought of other words with this title like “breadcrumbs,” “writing on the wall,” and a few more. Don’t worry, I’ll explain those terms in a bit. The Ultimate Warrior’s face reflects how mine was in a way where I believed I was going crazy. I found out later on, I was not. Well, maybe we all are a little bit but not in the context of what I thought. If you’re not sitting down, maybe you should and get ready for that rocket ship to blast off on my exciting experiences with this Warrior adventure once again.

I’m not going to rehash all of my past in trying to figure out the many signs from Warrior but when down in my basement working out, always became a usual spot for my somewhat crazy ways! I had read books, watched videos, listened to some spiritual podcasts, and on and on with so much more to try and connect these pieces of my never ending Warrior puzzle. I use that word often and now my husband and daughter love those 1,000+ ones. Oh boy, so not for me but especially since the word puzzle became quite the metaphor in my life. We will never fully have all the pieces, but sometimes we just want one more and then one more… My new term was “breadcrumbs.” When working out and listening to great music is when I get all crazy with these requests. Maybe music brings it out in me, but I KNOW Warrior is around because well— I just know. ☺️I literally would hold my finger and thumb together and look upward while asking him for just a breadcrumb more to stay on this journey where the ride is one of eternity for me.

Sometimes, I would get another sign but not always. Many come from dreams, meditation, or looking at his work, but some~~~ believe it or not, are never connected to those concepts at all. A few actually happen when I least expect them to as it should be because then BAM— we notice more. I get his humor since I am very similar and now feel more comfortable making jokes back. Nowadays, since I tell all of you to think BIG, I am asking for an entire piece of bread and not just a crumb! Come on Warrior- I want the whole F*CKING loaf! I’ll hear a song and say:“Really? Bring it, I’m game!” All kidding aside. Well, sometimes I’m not but then I would become a little more serious. Oh these lyrics I get and I’ll share one because it connects. No, not one with crazy in the title as there are plenty of those! I honestly can’t even finish my reps, a pose, or whatever I’m working on because the song gets me stopping. Look up “Youth Gone Wild” by Skid Row of the 80s. I know you are or will after reading. 🎼 There’s a part that mentions: “the writing’s on the wall.” Let me explain. Plus, other words in that song make me think of him too. You’ll know if you find it.

So, after a few times of hearing that song it got me thinking. I went over to my white brick wall in the basement behind where my yoga mat was spread out. I “pretend” wrote a message to Warrior which reflected a possible idea I had. This was several years ago now. I asked him:“Is this it? Does this connect us?” I laughed stating how I wasn’t going to “pretend” erase it. Call me crazy if you want but this is how I did things and he always responded in one way or another, even now. Time went by and I would hear those lyrics once more, point upward and remind him how I wrote those few words that I was still thinking about. Sometimes, we have to let things be for a bit but with me~~~ super difficult to do. Patience is one of the toughest virtues as I’m sure you’d agree. So many questions would I ask but had to start trusting my gut or intuition more which is part of the “main event”message to you all.

I never gave that possible connector up and it wasn’t until the visit with my psychic friend did it all finally make more sense a few years ago. See, I’m not crazy after all. My energy healer has since validated much which has been told, but getting two reference points really hit home. I was RIGHT all along but just had to always believe. It is surreal, and every day brings new mystique (of last week) revealed breadcrumb by breadcrumb. At first, I didn’t quite know for sure as there are many possibilities but then that gut feeling became more real. 

Besides the overwhelming feeling (which is still always there,) we have our fun. I’ll get a few different messages and then respond comically like:“Stop it, I’m being serious!” Oh, Many good daily moments all the time… Like I’ve talked about before, communicating with loved ones in spirit is like how it is here only without their physical presence. It does seem like I talk to myself but that has kept me going all my life. Some may call it other things but it gets me through~ it truly does. If you struggle with talking to someone who has passed, just put anything out there like a close conversation. They do and will hear you but you have to do the work on your end. I was researching like crazy (pun intended) and really kept looking for some answers. Despite the spiritual help from others I did receive, my OWN self had to decipher the messages for me as only I can. Remember how Warrior said: “the answers are already inside you.”

I don’t see a psychic regularly and really don’t want to. It isn’t because I don’t believe but it’s just because I want to do what I can before asking or relying on someone else for the answer. The energy work is about clearing trauma and no, it isn’t always Warrior related. Only a BIG part was and it was NOT all about his passing of almost 9 years ago either. I’ve even cut down on my visits with her. Look at your own writing on the wall✍🏻 in front of you (figuratively) and ask for more bread crumbs on your path. You just may get the whole loaf! 🍞🥖 If others think you’re crazy, let them. Always believe in yourself and trust that intuitive gut. It speaks the truth if you only listen. 🫵🏻👂🏻🗣️

The Enigma of Mystique 🫣

Does that title sound intimidating? I hope it does but in a good way where you feel intrigued to read… I’ve been meaning to use that photo of Warrior coming out for his first WCW Monday Nitro appearance back in ’98 and finally got a good shot. It is mysterious as he was but today, I wanted to move the focus just a little. I actually wrote this originally with a red pen too. ❤️

Let’s rewind for just a moment. Several years back, I wanted a word besides the overused word of intensity to describe the Ultimate Warrior character. After a few minutes, “enigma” popped in my head. This has been told before but it gets on repeat today. Vince McMahon also called him that in the book: “A Life Lived Forever.” He was describing the character and said: ” all of that added to the mystique of this extraordinary enigma.” Maybe my brain was remembering reading that many months prior, but there it was. Enigma and mystique so here we are again.

Are there parts of you that are mysterious, or even enigmatic? We need those parts of ourselves that remain puzzling or hard to figure out. Some may see it as being negative but it truly isn’t. We all want privacy and like I’ve said countless times despite my writings, many are edited or not even written. Warrior shared much in various ways over the years and yet again, remained private at times as fans know. We reveal what we like, and leave the rest. If people talk, let them. We shouldn’t know all of the answers anyway and aren’t supposed to. 🧩🤷🏻‍♀️

 OK, now that all those have been a little revisited, let’s move forward. I have discussed this trait of being “in the middle” with my healer as it comes up often in my life. I love to share as you can guess but sometimes need to pull back… 😬 How do I keep that balance? We’ve heard that expression of: “my life’s an open book.” I bet you have and even though I wrote one, not everything is open and shouldn’t be. We don’t want to keep the book closed entirely, so what should we do? She advised me just to switch my wording which in turn changes the thinking. I need to stop saying being “in the middle” and focus on neutrality. This applies to relationships too, not just my writings. It is amazing how one word that changes can completely shift our mindset. I actually was almost crying when posing that question to her. Very relieved some guidance came through.

We went on to discuss other topics but in reality, many came back to the enigma and mystique of ME. We all are but again, things should be selective. Have you heard this expression: “what other people think of me is none of my business!?” It’s harsh, but true. I told her Warrior’s of “F*CK what others think!” We laughed a little, but I always follow that up with “but…” The people pleaser has gone away in many aspects but she is still there sometimes. Can you relate to that? We do want to be liked and accepted but again, this goes back to HOW and WHY. Despite Warrior’s slogan, he did care about some stuff people were doing at times. We are all human and get bothered. Just watch his videos on certain topics and you’ll know. We don’t want to care and yet there are parts of us that do. It’s like the extremes of trusting too much and then not trusting at all. Stay neutral while keeping some mystique.

It is a struggle as I know this is part of my life lessons here. As a child, I totally was that enigma and rarely opened up to anyone about whatever was on my mind. Now, it’s much different but then I might go on and on… 🤭🗣️ It’s those extremes that work against us but when we are passionate about a concept or idea, we want it out in the world. We just have to know there will be consequences just like Warrior knew. Are any parts of your life mysterious and hidden in someway or do you bare all? You are probably in the middle like me or should I say neutral? It is different of course with fame like Warrior had or even sharing on a platform like I am. Very switched up does it become if you just share with your BFF or another trusted person.

Warrior always wanted his character to keep a little of the mystique hidden and yet became more open over the years once his wrestling career ended. We do evolve as we should but always get to decide how. He still was a private guy but did things his way and I so get that. We just need to think about how to best serve without forgetting ourselves. I did just hit another mile stone I wanted as a goal. 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ countries. After almost 7 years, that might seem small to some but not to me. We need goals but it’s all about right timing. I can be more forward with this blogging but I like being an enigma of sorts. Plus, entrepreneurship is not my gig but doing this type of creative work is. Sure, if I had a staff or even an assistant but I don’t so it remains what it is.

I guess the take-away is that throughout our lives, we will go different paths that move us in all directions. Some involve being that extroverted character like the Ultimate Warrior where everything is “balls to the wall” style but other times, we become more introverted with our style. It all depends on your situation and what interests you pursue. When I first started teaching or even writing, I was more enigmatic than I am today. Some people in their life will always just be one more than the other and that is their choice. I love both sides of Warrior and it was great that he showed them to all of us. I’m getting more comfortable in these other roles of mine that are hard to navigate but with a Warrior by my side, I will never lose. We need the mystery folks but let the real you out of your comfortable skin sometimes too. An enigma is a cool word but just remain neutral. Look to that message as a word of advice from the gods up above. 🤍🙏🏻

P.S. I noticed how I had used the word “warrior” in the title for 7 weeks! How about that? This year of 7 again. Never intentional…

Watching Warrior’s Stage

Last week I started with: “that’s me” and today, it’ll be written again. This time, it won’t be me I am referencing but Warrior. Before getting into that, this month of January marks 7 years since all these Warrior dreams started pretty consecutively for me. It is year 7 of these writings as well plus 7 letters in Warrior. For anyone that is into numerology~ this year adds up to 7 too, just sayin’… Oh, and it was 9 years on the 13th how the Ultimate Warrior was announced as part of the 2014 WWE HOF class…. OK, then— Let’s get the stage set as yet another dream watcher I became. 

This is similar to those other premonition type dreams so feel what you want from it. I don’t have many but when I do, they just seem to touch me in such a different way than others. A few coming to mind are: “The Ninja Turtle Warrior Dream,” “Dreaming of a Time,”(with Dana) and even some that showed other parts of his life. How about the TV movie similar to Conan the Barbarian? Or a young “Warrior” in college? Yep, those too. This one showed his life in bodybuilding somewhat along with a little wrestling.

I was watching this dream sequence unfold as it made me so proud. Warrior was standing, looking up at a raised platform similar to a stage or even a wrestling ring. He had his long dark hair and was surrounded by several other guys. They seem to just be talking when a spotlight on the stage arena caught their attention. They all turned as Warrior’s face totally lit up! Once again, it was as if a camera zoomed in on him with his killer watt smile. He was beaming while pointing, and said: “that’s me, look at me!” The guys all patted him on the back and rubbed his head similar to a DVD scene on “The Ultimate Collection.” That clip was shown real quick when Warrior mentioned winning the IC belt from HTM. Many guys congratulated him backstage if you have seen it. This was very similar to that~~~ only without a belt!

We all watched as up on that stage, or in that ring was a young Jim Hellwig as a bodybuilder. Not sure if this was a competition or if he was just posing, but we became mesmerized. Then, it seemed to fade into wrestling but I can’t recall what was shown to us. It could’ve just been him in the ring doing Ultimate Warrior or even a match with an opponent. It went so fast just like he did with running! We were witnesses of the future and he loved it all. I never interacted with any of them and couldn’t tell you who they were. You might say we were watching the past based on how Warrior looked and you can think that if you want. I, however, see it all very uniquely and personal. 🥹

This all goes back to a belief system and my knowledge of now. Remember, it’s how you FEEL about what is happening and your perspective could be different than another. I knew exactly what this meant for me without questioning although years ago~~~ I would have. Why would I be part of all this when I especially didn’t know his career before the WWF? I have those answers as it does become very complex in nature. I’m not a person of predictions and could never have imagined how Warrior’s life would have turned out. Us fans know all that he did so perhaps this dream isn’t all that surprising in a way to some. There’s so much more, but I will keep that in my heart. 💙😴 This blog would take on an entirely different tone if I touched on those specifics. You all might be thinking if it was a future viewing, why was his hair long? Good question and I don’t have that answer but sometimes they appear a certain way for a reason. The DVD clip factors in so between my brain, dreaming state, and connections, they all come together. These are for me so if you are dreamers, yours will be tailored to you. 

That was pretty much the dream but we all loved watching Warrior’s stage unfold before us. The BEST part was seeing his face, so excited watching that future life in front of him. I have never had one about myself but sometimes, we fear the unknown. We may plan things out but only get little glimpses if any at all. The future might sound good in your head but when visuals are involved, it takes on a whole new meaning. Even though I knew these parts of Warrior’s life career wise, it was still so amazing being there near those guys cheering him on in his future life ahead. Would you want to see some scenes brought to life and how would you react? These of course have always been good and positive as nobody wants to see the bad. We all have goals, dreams, wishes, and everything in between. It’s up to us to make them actionable and to always believe. Sure, things might be ugly and we will have that as well. Send your good future stuff out so the Universe can work with you. It may not happen exactly as you picture but you will be better for it all… Always learning processes that we have to go thru. 

Warrior set out to do what he wanted. How is a mystery. Was it perfect? Of course not but he loved those aspects shown to him and seemed ready to accept them. If you were shown the bad, would you still do it all the same? Believe me on THIS~~~ your soul knows what is best despite our initial fear. I can go on but I hope you anticipate the future with a joyful heart. Set your stage and look to those dreams of the good where you will light up and say: “that’s me!”

P.S. Just last week, it was 30 years since the premiere of Monday Night RAW. Yes, they are having a “special” but the date was last week. AND, did any of you fans know last week also marked 70 years since the WWE began as Capitol Wrestling? I did not know that….

*** Vince McMahon’s return just happened to coincide with those dates. Strategically planned I bet… Just like any “followers,” I am unsure as to what will all happen.? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️It’s his company, at least for now so plenty of BIG decisions to be made.. I so wanted WWE to still stay in the family, that makes me 😞… Steph will be missed am sure but it will go on… time will tell… 🫤

My Warrior Conversations

That’s me all bundled up in my backyard. I actually took that photo right before NYE for a Facebook video as part of an intuitive group I administer… Plus, before “locking up” with you all today, I wanted to touch on my post about “Home Gym Stories.” Much interest in that one has prompted me to expand just a moment. A moment here on squats. I actually DO them, just not with weights or too many. Now that the majority of my injuries seem to be on the mend- yay, 🤞🏻 I just might get into more with cardio and my elliptical machine again. Baby steps but this girl needs to lose some holiday weight… UGH…

Now, onto my ACTUAL post today. Remember when I mentioned two 2️⃣ things we all need to be grateful for every day? They are your life and health. Well, I felt the need to add to that which will lead into my warrior conversations. I also believe there are two things we want and NEED in our lives that aren’t the physicality of who or what we are. This came to me when thinking of sharing what I will write today. Any thoughts? To me, the answer is love and acceptance. That’s them, period. Everything else follows and is secondary. Love is extremely broad and covers many topics but we give and receive it. At least I hope you all do in someway, no matter how it’s defined. Acceptance is the toughie which we fight for and defend all the time. We really shouldn’t but we do. To just accept another or situation can be extremely difficult and yet despite our sometimes objective nature, we need to. Sure, it’s gonna be hard but once you do~ it will get easier because you won’t need to fight so much. 

Once you have acceptance, the love comes. OK, maybe not in that way you are used to but how about understanding instead? Let me explain. I am going to share my Warrior conversation I have every day during morning meditation. Once I set my intentions and send my gratitude, requests, and anything else out to the universe- I speak to Warrior. I’m sure some of you do too in your own way (if you knew him are/were a fan and anything similar.) You know what? It was never awkward for me, never… . These are some “convos” I have with him. It’s not in any specific order but I say these “hopes” like this: “I hope you are still reading, writing, and painting. I hope you are playing with your dogs. I hope you are checking in on your girls and good friends.” I am almost certain he does these things but I say them anyway. Some others go like this:

“Ride your motorcycle, tell everybody hi from me, (especially Randy) there’s too many of you up there… – *cue emotion*-recreate some of your favorite matches but maybe a few would want different endings!”

There’s A LOT more and some are too personal but you get the idea. I always say his mantra first about being bold, brave, and strong of course before diving in. Sometimes too I reference his “Fear is an Aberration” speech or a few others and I never know what feeling I will get. It does vary and often times, we need to just be still and really picture the good. I thank him for working with me and strengthening our connection but I don’t ask WHY anymore. I know the WHY or at least most of it and acceptance comes. Do you talk to any passed loved ones in spirit? if you don’t, no biggie and if you think it’s crazy, that’s fine. The HARDER part for me was writing him which became quite the endeavor last year. My healer friend had that come through and as easy as this is sharing on here, I was stumped with penning him a letter! Isn’t that strange? Guess I’m better at talking to him but like I always say (as did Warrior,) you need to get it on paper. It truly helps. ❤️‍🩹

This last little conversation was a phone call I had over Christmas with a cousin of mine. He is the younger brother of my beautiful soul sista. He busted his knee, called my mom, was bored at home, so asked for some cousins numbers. We rarely see each other as adults now but if anyone recalls, he is the doppelgänger of this boy on the “Ultimate Collection” DVD. Look for the match between U.W. and HTM from 12/17/88. It might also be on YouTube. The camera focuses on this kid near the end who could’ve been my cousin around 13 or so. He was actually 14 then… Too funny. He drops the F bomb often just like Warrior did and had me laughing so hard! 🤣 Such great memories and he is also mentioned in “This Brotherhood of Mine.” What struck me is how he KNEW his sister and I had a bond~ even back then. I never would’ve guessed that but he did. He was a little rebellious to say the least like his three brothers but has a much better and sober life now. We could always talk and he remembers that well. 

He called me one of the sweetest, kindest, and honest people he has ever known and I was overwhelmed. 🥹 Sometimes, we don’t feel those complements but I’ve talked about that too. Part of me didn’t accept his words as we become our own worst critics indeed. I never knew he felt that way~ I honestly didn’t. He isn’t that close with his many sisters but calls them all on occasion. I told him I would always talk to him and he knows that. When you are one of 10, life takes all in different directions with lifestyles, careers, and such. Keeping in touch is a lot but we have to want it. Love and acceptance again. It was a great Warrior conversation and I will talk to him soon. His birthday is this month so I am going to zoom in on that boy from the DVD and send it his way. I hope he responds! 😜

Have those conversations warriors however they work for you. Passed loved ones or in person, it doesn’t matter. As long as you do, the love and acceptance is there. It could come in a very unexplainable way, humorous, or not at all for a bit but it will eventually. You have to always believe because the belief gets us through it all. I won’t hear the F bomb from Warrior anymore but he delivered through my cousin who reminded me of some words I needed to hear… Until next time, bring the love and acceptance into honest warrior conversations.
