The Ultimate Dingo King 💪🏻🐕👑

To start off, I hope anyone who celebrated Memorial Day enjoyed their day off from work but of course it is so much more. That day is to honor and remember all our service men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom here in the US. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸 I do wish you all had some moments of reflection on those TRUE warriors who paid the ultimate price. My daughter was actually born on a Memorial Day 19 years ago tomorrow. How is she in her last year as a teen? Time is a gift and also very precious indeed as she will always be my Memorial Day baby. She will also always be my Gemini girl as Warrior was that too. ♊️

OK~~~ now you are probably wondering about that title. I have come up with some bizarre ones lately, right? 😂 You know I always explain so I’ll go in order. The ultimate word pertains to a certain pic I was planning on using soon. I saw it in the book, snapped it, edited, and kept it a day on my phone. For some reason later on, I was thinking I had already used that one. So, I checked my media but didn’t go all the way through. Guess I got distracted by something else, who knows? I did eventually make my way across the many pics~~~ almost 9 years worth ( minus a few…) mind you and finally saw it. I was right, but when it kept bugging me was when I found myself half awake and asleep. Yes, warriors as previously discussed~~~that’s when intuitive moments “slam” into me. My head was telling me I already used that photo so glad I checked. This has happened before but not quite in such a comical way as that time. It was as if Warrior himself delivered me that message! Maybe he did… 😊

Next, we’ll get into Dingo up in the title. I thought it fitting to end the month with another pic from his early days in WCCW. I had gotten out the book: “ A Life Lived Forever” to look at more possible photos for anyone wondering. Why did they have him pose with that forest around? I did look up some info but no idea if it truly connects to what WCCW was going for. Dingos ( those wild dogs like coyotes here) actually live in many dense areas of Australia, including forest regions. Maybe someone knew that back then but I would have no idea. It can be a “green screen” but looks like he’s holding a leaf? That could be staged also but I still wondered why with the scenery? I may never know but glad to always research on my own anyways! Do I honestly believe they went to an actual forest? Nah~~~ but I will probably never have that answer. 😂🌲🍃

That takes me to the King. No, not those other WWF guys to hold that title! While out last week, (I’ll admit we went for 🍨 ,) my son noticed 2 new businesses going into where the old “ Boston Market” used to be. He was so excited to see “ Qdoba” and a “ Smoothie King” with signs already in place. Of course, I paused a moment to myself… 🥹 For those unaware, the “Smoothie King Center” in NOLA is where Ultimate Warrior was inducted into the WWE HOF in 2014. It is also the name of smoothie shops *** AND** I wrote a story many years past of seeing one when attending a family wedding. My son naturally looked them up as he has “ Qdoba” near college and we don’t over here. There’s “ Chipotle” which is very similar. No “ Smoothie King” (s) although we do have other shops identical.

Both will be opening very soon. Smoothie King opens May 30 while Qdoba will be June 16. Oh my. Couldn’t they have been reversed? Again, a connection as Warrior’s birthday was 6-16 so the Smoothie King shop opening on THAT date would fit better, right? Absolutely it would so darn on that… 🫤 Too funny though as we are excited to go to both!

Another story I will share regards the “ Forest Dingo” photo that I almost forgot. While finding that pic in the book, my eyes darted left as I re-introduced myself to a little bit of Warrior’s days as part of “The Blade Runners”with Sting. Then, after going off on his own and becoming Dingo~~~ he shares a story of being in Texas at the Colosseum in Fort Worth where the big rodeos are. It was also where they did some wrestling matches. He states: “ You actually walk through horsesh*t and mud and everything else to get to the ring every night.” Well, that certainly rang my 🛎️ just a little. It was then I finally remembered the story from MY book: “ Spirit and Belief.” Awww, what a great memory of a beautiful dream I had 9 years ago now. In that dream ( for a quick recall,) SummerSlam ‘92 was held at a fairgrounds. 🏟️ I always loved the fair and they have rodeos there too. I ran through mud since it had been raining in order to get to Warrior. He wrestled Randy Savage for the title. I won’t share the entire story but I will share a quote of mine. Just like Warrior having to walk through horse sh*t, I too in that dream walked or really ran through all that to find my way to the match. Here’s my line from the story: “ We all need to find our way through life’s obstacles by achieving what our heart is calling us to do.”

Yeah… 💖 that was my very 1st dream as I totally got that message from Warrior’s mud filled days to mine, although not entirely the same. Oh~~~ those metaphors which did resonate for me then and still do today…. There ya have it with a 3 count and a little added extra bonus at the end. The Ultimate Dingo King, I’m still laughing at that title plus Forest Dingo! 😂😂 Who would’ve thought those 3 would make a story today? *** I WOULD go through horsesh*t to be up close at a UW match anytime, I would! 💩

Strange title, I know…

Hey all! Did you miss me and my crazy writings? No, not crazy. Let’s say intense~~~ yeah that will work. I am back so hope you readers are doing well. Before gearing up for today’s post, I need to clarify something. It was recently brought to my attention that I was wrong about a movie character mentioned last summer, ironically after a trip. It seems I got Randy Savage’s name wrong in “ SpiderMan 2.” He was not “ Chainsaw McGraw” but “ Bonesaw.” Both cool but I like to know the truth of course. No biggie but guess I wasn’t truly paying attention since I was playing a game! I bet Randy really doesn’t care but I felt obligated to share…

Next, you will see “Dingo Warrior” down below back in his early days with Texas in WCCW. I’ve seen that photo numerous times over the years, so finally had the chance to use it today. I’m not entirely sure of the backstory on that pose but I tend to think it involved those “ Westway Ford” car commercials he was part of back then. They are hilarious if you have not seen any. 🤣 Look them up on YouTube if you want a good laugh and yes, he has more lines than his character “ The Swordsman” from the “Firepower” movie! Dingo was very popular so he must’ve agreed to be part of those car ads and yes again~~~Westway Ford is still there in Irving Texas. I had to check, naturally.

***VACAY NEWS*** We had a fun time hiking some trails in Loudonville, OH on our trip that led to waterfalls and stunning views way up high in the mountains. ⛰️I loved tubing down the Mohican River 🛶 when the rain moved out. We saw many birds at their feeders and even found a brown woodpecker feather which I’ve never seen before. The home was incredibly spacious with a loft space as well which we had in past cabins. I always get a little emotional when leaving but glad to be back home. It’s good to let go of schedules and routines but then we crave our regular stuff once again. The energy was amazing as nature brings it out in any of us. More on that in a bit~~~ just differently. I hope all of you get a chance in these warmer months ahead to enjoy time outdoors as it is what our souls crave.

While there, we had a full moon 🌕 and I do feel the energy which has been mentioned often on here among other types of those topics. It is real to me but of course, many years ago~~~was not at all. Sure, I would notice it in the sky and knew kids acted weird close to that time but that was about it. I do have a story to tell here so bear with me. Again, like I always say~~~if reading along and you don’t “feel” it, then skip ahead. I’m just asking for open-mindedness to perhaps another’s experience different from your own. Just space, that’s it.

Have you ever felt a bit odd when staying someplace not your own? I know many who travel quite frequently and spending the night or several in a bed that others inhabit is second nature to them. They think nothing of it. After all, bedding has been changed and washed, right? I hope so. We just climb in at the end of the day and get that much-needed rest. That has never been me, but is accelerated so much more now that my energies are shifted. Don’t get me wrong here~~~the beds are usually super comfy and I have little problems with that. It’s what comes later or even in dreamland. 😴

I do work with crystals (as many know) and usually keep one under my pillow for protection. Being busy our first night meant no crystal and I also forgot to say my protection prayer. I have not forgotten that in many years. It shouldn’t matter but to me, it does. Well, if this is the time you fast-forward, I get it but I hope you don’t. I kid you not~~~once I began drifting a little still lucid, I felt what seemed to be movement not my own. Nope, no cat in the room but some kind of energy was around. I hope it was positive but honestly, I don’t truly know. What I do know is that it didn’t feel right so acknowledging our emotions in this is key. I also heard a noise almost like a voice but not really any words. Could someone have been outside that late? 😬

It was then I actually DID hear to open my eyes so I listened. The next night, I used a crystal and said my mantra. Nothing like that happened on our trips before and hopefully, not again. What I don’t want you as the readers to think is that when deciding to explore spirituality in any forms, that this kind of experience will befall you. Please don’t think that! You loyalists know my writings are mostly positive but sometimes, I am just susceptible as I’ve shared a few other stories. For most of you, you won’t require “protection” and a bed is just a bed, but I’ve always had these abilities. They just manifested when my soul was ready to receive and of course~~~when several events triggered them to happen. A certain someone’s passing? You bet…. All is well but it served as a reminder to me with my “niceness,” remember that? Nowadays, I have to initiate other practices previously foreign to me or at least deemed as crazy (intense?) in the past, but it’s what I need to do.

I will end with a goodie. We did find this 80 foot 🔥 fire tower you could climb all the way up! The view was amazing but I turned slightly to take a few pics and made my way back down. It was not like just climbing up on the top rope in a wrestling ring at all! It was kind of scary but I kept my wits and was saying : “ I’m a warrior” the entire time. We have to face our fears whether it’s negative energy or even an 80 foot tower… 😱

P.S. Go look up those Westway commercials! Dingo did scale a building in one. 80 feet? Dunno… 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂💪🏻

Two Warrior Ways

I had to use warrior in a title one more time and not just as a 3️⃣ count lately! You will know as these stories play out today. First off though~~~ happy May readers! Month 5, my goodness. Next week, I will be out of town because my family is traveling to the Mohican River in Loudonville, Ohio for a few days. I haven’t been there in years and have never taken the kids. We can’t go in the summer because of their schedules so decided on Mother’s Day for a quick getaway. Possibly more to come on that in a few weeks! This takes the place of my annual week off besides over Christmas so get caught up on your reading if you haven’t yet already… Secondly, I’m wishing all you Mom’s out there a Happy early Mother’s Day in whatever way you do your mothering. I hope you are pampered and spoiled because we deserve it! 🫵🏻🙋🏻‍♀️💐💖

I’ll just mention the photo today quickly, although it has no real reference with the stories. I saw this of Warrior on the set of his movie 🎥 “Firepower” as “The Swordsman.” Every pic I had seen in my magazine was black and white so I took that color one from media. Not sure if he legally changed his name then when the movie was released as “James Hellwig” is introduced in the opening credits. He is Warrior for my post today but well…keep reading.

The first warrior way is this. I was thinking of signing up for another yoga class soon so then remembered my old stomping grounds in that area close to where I grew up. The owner has 2 studios but I like this one better. I drive two different ways as one route I take there and another I take home. The one I take home is part of the story. Quite possibly, I have brought this up when seeing a rainbow 🌈 on my way back once but there are more details.

Every time I leave the studio, I pass the local high school on purpose, EVERY single time. The reason? Well, their football team’s name? —- you can guess here is – the “Warriors.” To think I almost grew up there but we would not have gone to the public schools for sure. I like to pass the stadium which ironically is called “ James Daly Stadium” with a big “ Warrior” sign attached. James and Warrior- how about that? I did recall James being part of the name but looked it up to be certain. That school was never a rival with my kids as they aren’t in the same division. Can you imagine those games? The Bulldogs vs. the Warriors. Wait, the British Bulldogs ? Ha ha, but isn’t it great still? I also love that route back home for all my library memories., Yes, the history term paper of 35 years ago now but then as time went on, looking for books as a preschool teacher.

Here’s the second warrior way. When my daughter transferred to the local community college, I took her a few times to register, look around, and walk the campus. After that, she was on her own with friends and loves it out there now. Hard to believe her 2nd semester and then also 1st year of college is in the books. Pun intended… Last May, we were prepping for her graduation. 🥹👩🏻‍🎓 ***Back to the story now. When driving there and getting pretty close, we slowed down by a light. I looked to the left and saw this cute playground area with lots to do. Its name—- “ James Day Park.” OK, I will always remember the way to go now! I could also see an obstacle course with the word “warrior” written nearby. James and Warrior once again as I smiled inside.🫢🥰 Before writing this today, I wanted to make sure I got it all right and then had ANOTHER laugh. It seems they modeled this park after the “ American Ninja Warrior” show which I wrote about years ago and also is in my book: “ Spirit and Belief.” It gets better, just read. They also have an “Unstable” bridge, which is its actual name as part of this obstacle course!!! I would’ve had no idea. Maybe I’ll go and check out that park more someday.

James has a Warrior football stadium and a park with a ninja course. One is Daly and one is Day, what are the odds of the last names being similar? 2️⃣ ways about 1/2 hour from each other but both involving a physical activity. The *REAL* James (a.k.a.- Warrior) would love both. For those unaware, “ Unstable” was the Ultimate Warrior’s WWF theme music and reading that about the bridge in the description was another connecting moment for the story. Oh, my, my~~ what fun to see, read, and know as the college way with my girl~~~ of course is new to me.

I will share a 3rd warrior way even though those 2 above are the main event today. I planned on this as a PS, but it deserves a little more explanation. Every month, I listen to one of my favorite spiritual people on her YouTube channel give an astrology forecast. I know this isn’t for everyone, but keep with me. She draws several cards from an Oracle deck and I follow my few signs but again, it isn’t my entire being. I just take the guidance and see if it fits in my life with what’s going on energetically. I am affected as I’ve stated before, and let me tell you~~~some points are spot on! She was mentioning a certain zodiac sign and I had to pause the video to write it down. Her statement was this: “ a spiritual warrior understands flow and welcomes it in.” OMG! First, yes~ the warrior word or (way right?) once again but she relates the word flow which I also bring up quite often for me and the word welcome, which was my post last week!

It isn’t about fighting a physical battle as a warrior (which I knew already,) but she connected it to within yourself and just going with events as they come without forcing things to happen. Take some action and then let it go. That is SUPER hard for most of us. I totally got her point as some may not * BUT* her using those 3️⃣ words of warrior, flow, and welcome had me hit that pause button. Another warrior way as it will get added to this list… We all have our own paths to take, literally and metaphorically but just remember~~~ yours is yours alone and we’ll all meet together. My warrior way is mine, but you will have one too. You don’t need a park or stadium either. Oh, James (a.k.a. Ultimate Warrior)~~~ thank YOU for showing us all YOUR Warrior way as you will always be that for me… 💙

My Warrior Welcome

** I started the month with Warrior in a title and am ending the month the same…💙

Welcome everyone! I had to say that to all of you because of the subject today but a few things are first. Regarding last week~~~ shortly after I posted~~~ another funny moment came to be. Not sure if any of you connected this tidbit but a big NOOO from me. I did NOT conjure up the name Amanda because of “ The Brother Love Show” segment of 1990 featuring “ Amanda Ultimate Warrior.” Nope, nope, nope, but it popped in my head as quite a chuckle. 😄

The next thing will just be a paragraph that I will devote to WM41 since no discussion last week. I’m sure fans know results by now, right? I will mention a few things but not every match in detail. I believe the 2 matches spread out over both nights involving the Triple Threats were the most exciting overall. Seth Rollins defeating Roman Reigns and CM Punk on night 1️⃣ and Iyo Sky defeating both Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley on night 2️⃣. What about Paul Heyman? I was not that shocked… I looked up videos of course. John Cena also defeating Cody Rhodes was not a total surprise for me considering his retirement year and besting Ric Flair at 17 titles. I dislike him as a heel but my prediction is hopefully~~~ 🤞🏻 he’ll return to his good ol’ self before he leaves. I did watch most of the HOF as well but really just for Lex Luger and Triple H’s speeches. Both were amazing and incredible. “ The Game” even acknowledged his father-in-law in his hour long speech, how about that? Loved also how Diamond Dallas Page ( aka- DDP) inducted Lex while Shawn Michaels ( aka- HBK) inducted Triple H… There can be more to tell like where was “ The Rock?” or (aka- #thefinalboss) but I will leave it at that. Let’s get into my Warrior welcome…

That photo below ⬇️ is a rare one I saw of Warrior from ‘93 when he wrestled in Germany. No paint but thought it was a good one so it gets used today. 🥰 OK~~~so that takes me to a welcome of sorts. I have this painted cardboard welcome sign that is part of my yard decor. I love shopping for all of that! It’s pretty old now but once we move, I’ll start over with new. I do still like it and it’s over 11 years old now, probably close to 13. The reason I know this is because 11 years ago, I decided to touch it up after fading in the sun. Gee~~~ 11 years ago… I just recently received “The Ultimate Collection” DVD then and couldn’t wait to watch it over the next few days. As it turned out, we had a rainy morning so no walk. While beginning the UC content, I brought in that welcome sign to redo it with my daughter’s art supplies. I could’ve used it as a photo but nah, it’s faded again anyway. Interestingly how it became a post but stay with me on this. It was an * ACTUAL* Warrior welcome with me receiving the DVD and then repainting the welcome sign. The irony is too funny. I always remember when hanging it outside every year. 😉

I was reminded of Jerry Lawler’s speech before his match with UW as part of “ King of the Ring” in 1996. Jerry was addressing the crowd on UW’s return and how everyone was glad to see him come back. He then goes on and states how he believed Warrior “ has overstayed his welcome!” This was after “ The King” 🤴🏻 hit UW over the head with that portrait of him he painted. My welcome sign brought this story to life so back then, I must’ve just put out my yard decor and brought in that to fix. Do you wear out or overstay your welcome? Maybe it’s reversed when you are the recipient of guests. After a few hours, I call it a day~~~ whether at another’s house or hosting at my own. Rarely did we have overnight guests, except my in-laws years ago and even then two nights it would be for out-of-towners. I’m not overly antisocial but also I’m not the hostess to the mostest. It’s not my style but I will do the best I can, briefly. We’ve all been on both sides of this I bet. Which is more challenging for you? I guess it depends on the people you are with. It’s all about the energy we give off and are around.

People can wear out a welcome but just like my sign, objects are more direct. I had a summer welcome mat with beach balls outside my sliding door for years. I loved it and despite putting it away for winter, it still faded overtime. We have to replace stuff when it gets worn or old but people are never replaced. Whether you enjoy another’s company or not, everyone is their own unique self never to be replicated in spite of possible similarities with others. You can decide if that relationship has overstayed its welcome or if you will always accept it as is. Warrior will never wear out his welcome with me and won’t ever be replaced, like that beach mat or even sign.

I’m sure some may remember me sharing those few months after Warrior’s passing when I would think: today is the day when he will wane somewhat, fade, or get worn out (if you will) from my memory. You also may know how that day never came, not EVER. I was perplexed for the longest time as it didn’t seem “normal” after a long while. Again, so grateful to know why NOW but it was quite the match that I physically lost. Yeah, he would fade a little but in other ways, I won~~~ BIG… 💖

So, my warrior welcome was a DVD which brought about a sign, all in one day. I know you fans will always welcome UW with your loyalty and devotion. You don’t need an actual mat or sign by your door either. Perhaps you may feel different with being welcomed or even welcoming others but it’s all in how we respond. I do hope however, that you show kindness in lieu of disagreements. They can have their views and you can have yours but welcome others opinions. Be open to listening to ideas different than your own because we need to be that way. I believe in genuine welcoming but do understand it being difficult. It is for me sometimes as well. I disagreed with Warrior on certain topics but I would never not welcome him then or now. I welcome YOU readers every week too. Until next week, which will be May already!

Blast from the Past 🩷

You will see another selfie below. Honestly, it was not intentional but had to be used today because the pic of me fits more than a pic of Warrior. 2 months in a row~ I would not have guessed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is a *BRAND NEW* story I’m sharing with you readers today as nobody in all these years has heard it, NOBODY. It’s worth sharing because well, you will know soon enough. It came to my thinking so I decided to make it a post today. I hope you enjoy so get comfy because this match might be longer than our usual time together. Load the spaceship with that rocket fuel warriors because we are blasting off. 🚀

I’m going to “introduce” you to a few friends from my past. Some names were changed to protect their identity and their story is edited for content. It’s like a movie which states: “ based on actual events” or “ inspired by a true story.” You get the idea. Now with that being out of the way, here it is.…*** Amanda was a woman I knew back in the early ‘90s who had an almost 13 year-old daughter, Michelle. She was a single mother trying to make ends meet. After getting pregnant in high school by her boyfriend Dave, they did remain together~~~ for a bit. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the military and was killed during training. So horrible, isn’t it? Michelle had no memories of her Dad and her grandparents lost their only child. 😓

Over the years, Amanda got help in raising her little girl from both sets of parents while she attended college and held down a job. She was lucky to be so supported. She did date a few guys but nobody that important worth introducing to Michelle. It was the 2 of them mostly and they became inseparable. Years passed and Amanda wanted to think of something extra special for Michelle’s 13th birthday. It was well known how her daughter loved performing in school plays, drama, and all that so she needed it to involve her love of acting in a way. Michelle loved TV, the movies, theater, and all stuff similar but in particular one guy on a favorite show of hers. I for one knew not to tease her because of my past in that area! 🤭

Amanda had seen how this actor would be performing locally near their town very soon ( as he did many things) so that was the perfect b-day gift. No reality shows or podcasts then people! She got tickets and surprised Michelle by going backstage to meet her hero, Nick. Her daughter’s emotions were ecstatic! Michelle‘s photos of him on her walls had turned into reality as she and her mom made their way after the performance to Nick’s dressing room. Amanda was so happy her daughter could experience this once in a lifetime milestone. She hadn’t truly followed Michelle’s interests the same but respected her girl for honoring them. They both meet Nick and he can’t take his eyes off Amanda despite the birthday girl’s dream coming true. Can you guess where this is going? 💘

I know it sounds cliché but I was happy too when Nick and Amanda started dating. Despite his busy work schedule, he found time to spend with both girls. Michelle imagined her “crush” becoming her stepdad. Only natural, right? After a whirlwind romance~~~it DID happen as several months later, they were married and then a year later Nick adopted Michelle. Parents questioned the validity but Nick proved to them all his true love for Amanda and Michelle. I gotta say this too~~~the song they used for their wedding dance was one of my favorites mentioned on here years ago! I have it on my playlist. They even had fireworks outside at their reception, so cool!🎆🎇

Their romance lasted and then after a few more years, Nick’s schedule became more part-time all while Amanda was pregnant with twins. They had a beautiful life together and I kept in touch with them all. Fast-forward about 10 years or so, with Michelle now engaged and about to graduate college. Time surely flew by, that is for sure. Her Dad danced the Father/ Daughter dance 🥹 at Michelle’s reception when afterwards, it was her time to be with a man of her new dreams. Amanda and the twins danced on the side as Nick beamed happily at this girl, now almost young woman he got to help finish raising. A year later, Amanda and Nick became grandparents and Michelle’s siblings were now an aunt and uncle.

I will stop there because this can get quite lengthy with their lives if I don’t. I know you are thinking: “ what in the world, this has nothing to do with Warrior!” Here’s where I will make the connection, finally right? Whether or not you are a fan of pro wrestling, TV, the movies, or anything~~~don’t you get hooked into a storyline of sorts? Of course you do. How can you not? All that has a way of bringing our emotions to the surface and identifying with the characters. For me, yep this is absolutely true of all that I watch or even read in books. With Warrior~~~ it was no different. As a teen I watched, followed, and got “roped” in with all the content and then later on, once again watching him resurface. The story of Amanda, Michelle, and Nick is the same. Did you feel involved with me sharing their lives? I bet in some way you did just like knowing details about others over the years. I remembered all those specifics to share with you like they never left my memory, similar to Warrior’s return coming back, never forgotten.

If you ARE still with me, as I hope you are, here’s the end dear reader. The match is over~ ding, ding, ding. 🛎️ To preface, I do hope to not offend or belittle you in any fashion but just to prove my creative point. Are you curious about what happened to Amanda, Michelle, and Nick? WELL…, they were *CREATED* by me and my imagination when in my early 20s. Yep, MOSTLY all made up (not everything though…) which has remained with me still 30+ years later. So sorry, but did I get you? I wasn’t trying to trick but again~to share and prove how one can get into a storyline with fascinating characters. To think I didn’t even know I was a writer then~~~ nope, too oblivious. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I still think I could’ve been a soap opera writer or romance novelist. Hallmark channel? Maybe in a past life? 🤔I hope you didn’t get too attached to my “story” but it was my favorite of all the ones I invented during my younger days of relaying ideas out of my head. For the most part, my work is non-fiction (naturally) but sometimes I actually do come up with a cast and go with it. It’s sort of like imagining a WWE Superstar and rebranding as time goes on. I think of those 3 Superstars sometimes and laugh at my humble beginnings. Never would I have thought they’d impact me as much, just like someone else I know too did and still does… 💙

P.S. Try creating your own cast of characters for a story, if only in your mind. No need to share, but who knows where it will take you? We all deserve a happy ending because realistically~~~ not everyone will get one.

P.P.S. Again, so sorry loyal readers for that “letdown” if you felt that way. Here’s my advice though. Read a book and you might find your own escape with an Amanda, Michelle, or Nick. NO….., they were not taken from a book.. Oh, and I rarely came up with a whirlwind romance. That’s not for me, but we need to step outside that comfort zone or familiar wrestling arena.

Oh, those Stimulants..

Before my adrenaline filled post today, I will recall briefly the last event of 11 years ago which was WWE’s RAW tribute to Ultimate Warrior on April 14. Ah, yes… My family playing “ Clue Jr.” and then hiding my tears 😭 in the bathroom… 💔 The song fit perfectly but grateful for the humor my husband provided back then.

OK, warriors- now onto these stimulants with a few of my own personal stories mixed in. First off though to any wondering~ NO, this is NOT about steroids or any recreational drugs many of the guys partook in. My take is the more understanding yet comical way, (like myself) of bringing in how easy it is to rely on stimulants in any form. Like I’ve said before, until you are in a certain position with certain situations~~~ you truly can’t judge until in those boots (as a pro wrestler that is.)

Here are my two stimulants~~coffee and alcohol. Sure, mixing things is not a good recipe as caffeine alone can be enough. We all know as fans guys did many things, (including the few women involved) and even though they would’ve known some side effects, wrestlers did what they could or felt needed to be done to be a star. Also, it provided coping mechanisms they felt were necessary.

Despite contributing to some not too healthy decisions, who doesn’t love some of Randy’s promos about coffee. “ A cup of coffee in the big time!” ☕️How about : “ cream of the crop!” Look those up with Mean Gene, how can you not laugh? 😂 Warrior knew Randy loved his coffee too, but that does impact lack of sleep. I won’t get into all that because we know it, don’t we? I used to be more of a coffee drinker but not so much these days. It started when I was teaching but I only drank it on the weekends! Guess I wasn’t into buying instant then and we didn’t have a pot at my childhood home. My husband had a pot years ago but it’s put away. No Keurig either. I truly didn’t need it but after my son started Kindergarten with that much earlier time, I took it up again.

I will say this, though. Nowadays, I rarely have caffeine. It actually keeps me awake at night despite only having a cup in the morning! No soda pop with caffeine much either. Judge if you may, but my system does not want it and it shows. Once in a while, I crave it and boy~ one can tell. I get a little jittery, have more energy, and my heart rate increases. 😳 My body can’t take too much of all that as others can. I will go get myself an iced coffee at McDonald’s on occasion with a little sugar and milk, not black. No fancy overpriced Starbucks, ha ha! I love it and get this~~~ I get a medium because a small isn’t worth it. Plus, I only drink half and save the rest for day 2️⃣ . Call me a freak, I don’t care. No flavors either. I used to get vanilla or even caramel but way too sweet for me in the A.M. That’s dessert, not coffee. You all can have your espresso or even mocha latte, but not me. I have tried several, but chocolate coffee?, Um… no.

How about those libations many of us love as well? I also don’t partake in that often because of- you guessed it, my sensitive system anymore. When my husband and I were dating, I could drink 3️⃣ Long Island iced teas while hanging out at BW’3’s… I would probably pass out or vomit now. I do still LOVE the fruity and tropical drinks of flavored margaritas, daiquiris, piña coladas, and even martinis like cosmos. 🍸 Wine is OK but after one glass~~~ watch out. So many stories but honestly, I was never a drunken girl~ I knew better. Yes, we’ve all been there but I can count on one hand those times for me. I even tried hard liquor at a work party just to check that off a list. Nope, never again. I’m not a beer drinker at all either. 🍺 Here’s a funny story of mine as I did admire my dedication.

I decided a few years back to not have any alcoholic drinks for an entire year. Nothing but clean stuff. It was a challenge as I did love those Mike’s hard lemonades from our corner store. I did it warriors despite holidays, birthdays, or anniversaries. My husband and I go out for a date night and I ordered a fun, mixed cocktail. We had dinner and headed to the movies. I was fine until about halfway through the movie. Oh no, what was this? My stomach was a mess. I didn’t wanna go to the bathroom and miss an important part. Well, thank goodness it passed but my body hadn’t a drop for 12 or so months and I fill it with mixes. Oh, Kathy~~~ wine would’ve been better to ease back in, but I did not do that. I bet my insides were thinking: “ what is she doing?” “ We thought she was done with this?”

*** Right at THIS very moment as I kid you not warriors~ those 2 expressions totally connect with my relationship to Warrior after his return of 11 years ago or even wayyy back. I assure you that was not in my original post! I totally even crack myself up sometimes. 😂😂😂

All kidding aside, it is so easy for many to become addicted to stimulants that can be mild even compared to others. I have family members who have battled and even a sister who fought against alcohol many years. We all have choices and it’s up to us with our free will to decide how far we can take it. I hope all you proceed with caution in this area and know your limits in spite of some temporary “good feelings.” It affects us all and not just pro athletes like those wrestlers we come to love. Warrior abstained from some stimulants, but then others~~~not so much. I will not condemn or condone, just bring compassion. ❤️‍🩹

“ I Will Always…” 💙

“ I will Always…” Those 3 words just like many others are so very powerful indeed. We just had the 11th anniversary of Ultimate Warrior’s final television appearance on WWE’s RAW and then yesterday with his passing. I did light some candles as per my tradition. 🕯️🕯️🕯️ This date is the actual day I found out which like my many other memories, has been shared. Surprisingly to you readers, (as it was a little to me then) was the fact that I did not shed any tears for the longest time. Often written here is a metaphor of me as a volcano, 🌋 just waiting for its time to erupt. Some that may know me quite possibly assume I am that extreme basket case which I am not at all. Emotion doesn’t just pour out of me like a faucet of joy and pain. Nope, it doesn’t. 😭 I bet when people are faced with shocking news of any kind, it may take a while for it to sink in. If it involves some type of physicality which we could be present for, we need to take immediate action of course. Hearing about Warrior passing didn’t involve me taking any action of that matter. It just had to penetrate through me for a time until I was ready to erupt, in my own way.

“ I will Always…” Well, what can that mean as it becomes very broad? I will not echo Dana’s words of those years ago but for me, they do hold true in other aspects. These are just my expressions of today as I truly had no notes prepared. I can easily list several clichés following “ I will Always” as many fans will have their own. Yes, the Dolly Parton and then Whitney Houston very famous song I can mention here, but isn’t truly necessary. BTW~~~ Dolly ended her 80s variety show with that song as I watched it back then. Most know Whitney took it a whole other level with a huge movie titled “ The Bodyguard.” Another yes here as I did have it on cassette tape. I loved ballads and still due to this day. We are nearing the anniversary also of the Titanic sinking as I think way back to my memory with a certain Céline Dion song from that movie. You all know I love music and singing… 🎵 🎤That story is in my book…

“ I will Always…” identify with this number of 11 as it’s super powerful spiritually. You may not, and that’s OK but if it fits on my warrior journey that I’m honored to be part of. Always will I keep my memories of Warrior tucked in my heart as you can do the same. It started at 15 for me with many years, then some gaps until coming front and center once again albeit a little differently in form. I had him re-emerge for me in 1999 and then 2005 through his website. No idea as time went on of any social media or sites at all. It wasn’t until hearing about his possible HOF induction near the end of 2013 did he “run” back in with me never being the same again.

“ I will Always…” honor him but I need to honor myself too. He wants that for everyone, no matter a fan or not. The ways we choose will vary greatly but they need to be done because honoring our true selves is a big part of our purpose here. Sometimes I marvel at everything that has transpired since finding out he left his earthly life. I’m not overly sad or mad (last year of 10 made that evolve more) but filled with my warrior spirit of handling ALL of it. Just knowing I’m strong enough when sometimes, I honestly didn’t think I was. Humor has saved me numerous times as I will always honor that as well. After all, that was the “main event” with WWF when I started watching, and it has continued with Warrior in spirit. Some of these writings are proof of that as I bet many will attest!

“ I will Always…” love. ❤️ Well, that’s a given but there are 2 words I hear often in song lyrics. I will not share them but they have been mentioned a few times in other posts. They pop up from time to time and yet fit perfectly with Warrior. Music, lyrics, and songs like 2 listed above ⬆️ are at the top of the always things for me. Yep, they have to be because it’s ME which is part of the connection. There are too many to list but they mean a huge deal and keeps me on that cloud 9️⃣ ☁️. Another moment here is yesterday. While making dinner, I heard “ The Warrior” by Scandal on the radio. Wow, haven’t heard that in such a while. No tears anymore but just disbelief! I think I heard it on an April 1 a few years back. How truly ultimate and it made me smile. This was ( of course) just added but how beautiful to hear… 💪🏻

“ I will Always…” have my dreams. You didn’t think I’d end without mentioning those, did you? I have lost count but am hoping for more. He’s around or a reference of late but no biggies so far this year. He’s evolving as I understand and want that for him. Just once in a while, I will get a beautiful reminder so I take what I can. I’m evolving too, so perhaps they will not be as frequent as before. It makes me a little nostalgic but moving forward I must do while trusting his presence in other ways. I heard recently how nostalgia means “longing” and “homecoming.” Wow, once again. I love that, totally resonates. 🥹

“ I will Always…” believe of course as that is his slogan which should still resonate. It does for me. You can take it however you wish but without belief, we have nothing to hope for. No universal Creator, no eternity, and no hope in ourselves as humans to live a great life with passion. I need to always or will always acknowledge also all those on these journeys with us~~~ Warrior’s and mine who encouraged us to keep going despite setbacks or conflicts. I can name many on both sides. He had his challenges but ultimately I’ve had mine too. They are all admired for always pushing us to strive better.

“ I will Always…” have passion, conviction, writing, a legacy, honesty, belief, and a warrior intensity of my OWN…

“Warrior’s Winnin’ It!” 🤼‍♀️🥇💪🏻

“ Warrior’s winnin’ it, Warrior’s winnin’ it Monsoon!”

That line was spoken by none other than Jesse “ The Body” Ventura during the first few minutes of WrestleManiaVI~ “ The Ultimate Challenge” match between Heavyweight champ, Hulk Hogan and Intercontinental champ, The Ultimate Warrior. It came to me a few weeks ago actually as a possible title with the WWE Universe celebrating the 3️⃣5️⃣th anniversary of their very first WM outside of the US yesterday. Toronto Canada in the Skydome (now the Rogers Centre) was set to host the 6th largest PPV event by the then WWF where lots of other exciting things happened. We had the 1st ever Mixed tag team match, Demolition 3-peating as Tag team champs, and so much more! I will stick to that title for title final match between HH and UW of course. Like I’ve said before~~~April 1 is no Fool’s joke for me and hasn’t been for 35 years!

Before getting into more on that, once again~~~we have a part 2 of sorts. Just like last week to end March, we have another to begin April. These remaining WM’s UW were part of are as follows: April 1, 2nd, and 5th. 1st was WMVI in ‘90, 2nd was WMV in ‘89, and 5th was WMVIII in ‘92. Today, marks WMV’s exact date. Fans of UW won’t like to remember WMV when Bobby Hennan (that weasel) held onto Warrior’s leg behind the ring so the ref couldn’t see. That way “Ravishing” Rick Rude could get the pin and capture the IC belt. Not to worry, though as UW got it back that same year at SummerSlam!

WMVIII was when we got a short glimpse of UW coming to the aid of Hulk near the end of his match with Sid Justice. Most fans know Papa Shango missed his cue, but Hulk was getting beat up by both guys so here comes UW to the rescue. He also did a brief press conference afterwards, which I believe was another first. It counts as UW being part of WMVIII but not technically a match like the other 5. So, the dates are 33 for WMVIII and 36 for WMV this year.

Let’s go with that date of April 5 as I recall a few other events. Newbies~ this is always for you but loyalists~well, read on if you wish. April 5, 2014 also brought Ultimate Warrior’s HOF induction as my family attended our first Cavs basketball 🏀 game together in Cleveland that night. 11 years ago this week if you recall how the dates are the same for 2025. 2 signs fell in my home 2 years later in 2016, which are in my book: “Spirit and Belief” as stories but always remembered fondly by me every year. 2018 brought a book event as I chose that date of April 5 on purpose! Close to the library, I spotted “Sherri Apartments.” Another beautiful moment which brought a chuckle my way and still does. Warrior had two women named Sherri (Shari) , spelled differently in his life.

Here’s something *NEW * for ALL of you to read. I told myself a few weeks ago that this year, I was gonna do it. Despite possible comments, it was going to happen on the big 3-5 of The Ultimate Challenge. Every year, I DO watch as a tribute on its anniversary AND my birthday, which I started decades ago with the VHS tape. I’m usually alone but early April would typically fall on the kids Spring break. I shared my daughter’s comment on Hulk once as I laughed so hard 🤭 but this year was set to be different. Instead of it being my possible lunchtime entertainment~ it could be watched after dinner in the evening or when the dog had been walked. My husband would be around and I did not care. I would LOVE for him to watch with me if he chooses, but either way~ it was time. I did watch it then warriors!!! There were a few topics not to be discussed if he watched with me. No mention of it being “fake” and no talk of steroids. Nope, that didn’t matter. He DID watch and we saw a few other things on my DVD as well. I said more about Warrior ( even outside of wrestling), but then let it go as I didn’t want to overwhelm him! He was super impressed with UW lifting guys up to press… 😌 So, a perfect lead into the next part of the DVD when Warrior discusses lifting Hulk… He totally stayed in the room to watch! A win for me too to FINALLY view it with him…

“ Warrior’s winnin’ it!”~ just like that pic below after their “ Greco-Roman knuckle lock.” That was Jesse once more. On my end, I promised not to echo the commentary I know all too well or not to get a little emotional near the end starting with that hug as I tend to do. First time also the WWF used pyrotechnics as UW got that awesome fireworks display. New decade, new year, new champ, a great 3 count!

Regardless of naysayers or even HH’s “take” on how it all went down specifically, it still was an epic match unprecedented between two true icons in the business. Two good guys for the title~~ another first. I was grateful to hear how emotional Warrior was after that match as many may have just thought he felt entitled only. He wanted to get to that level and did. Very few had that chance back then and despite him always saying: “ I didn’t get him all the way up…” ( meaning pressing Hulk) in interviews, true fans didn’t care. Our hero became the new champ, which in turn made “ Hulkamania” live forever, although it died a little that night.

I was a senior in high school- going on 18 with a big history term paper coming up. How could I concentrate on that? That’s been written and now Warrior’s kids AND mine have passed that age. My daughter ended all 4 of them last year. After viewing it for the first time on “The Ultimate Collection” DVD years ago, I cried~ HARD… I had to pause it and walk away…That totally surprised me as of course I had seen it tons of times. Not on DVD though but outbursts came and went back then. A combo of many things rolled into one. 🥺

There ya have it warriors~~~the remaining 3WM‘s of April for UW‘s career in the WWF with a 35th in “ The Ultimate Challenge” of VI being yesterday. Next week brings more memories for this time of year as we approach 11 with Warrior in “parts unknown.” Until then~~~ always believe as I remember the NEWWWW World Wrestling Federation Champion, The Ultimate Warrior!!!

That Time Again

Hey warriors~~~ it’s already the end of another month as next week begins April once again… 😳 We are almost 4 months into 2025 as I still hope you are Rockin’ those goals! This time of year brings my annual “numbers” if you will. Most regular readers know and if you’re thinking: “this again?” Ah well, it’s what I do just like things you all like to do. First off, I wanna share a few personal family events before I slam into UW memories today.

In 2️⃣ days, my son will turn 21. Oh my goodness, we have another milestone as my heart 🥹🥳 gets excited yet bittersweet at the same time. Being in his college pep band meant he got the opportunity to travel with the basketball team who won the MAC championship🏆 ! My husband and I attended that super thrilling exciting game, which ended at the buzzer with his Akron ZIPS winning by two points! It could’ve gone into overtime but did not. Those ZIPS were down at one time by 18 and rallied back to punch their ticket to the NCAA tournament. 👏🏻🏀They have gotten this far before but usually lose after the first round… He got to fly out to Seattle, Washington for round one against Arizona. They also were able to sightsee much in the area as well for a great trip out west! He hadn’t been on a plane ✈️ since he was 12 and did very well. I’m so happy he got such a wonderful chance to be there. I loved seeing all his photos and videos as it’s great having him home a bit for spring break.

Having said that, let’s move onto my yearly dates. To begin, Ultimate Warrior was part of 6️⃣ WrestleManias. Six. Yep, you read that right as this number gets a mention again. Should I list them in order by the dates or WM’s? I’ll do the WM’s~~~ at least the 3 for March. WMIV between Ultimate Warrior and “The Mighty Hercules” will be tomorrow on the 27th, WMVII between UW and “ Macho King” Randy Savage was on the 24th, (this past Monday) and WM XII between UW and Hunter Hearst Helmsley ( Triple H) will be this coming Monday the 31st. Got them all? 1988, ‘91, and ‘96. The other 3 will be mentioned in April. Two very short matches and one longer this month. First as well was UW’s PPV of WMIV marking his debut and WMVII being the WWF’s first ever “ Career Ending Retirement Match.” WMXII marked UW‘s return after 3.5 years gone, but I know fans know those stats.

Do you have a favorite WM with UW? Bet I can guess which few are pretty close to being a tie as I’ve seen much with social sites over the years. It’s pretty obvious to many as one is reserved for next time. 🥰 To be at any would’ve been such an incredible thrill, I cannot even imagine. Always more of a bonus if UW was your favorite and WON! We like that don’t we? Just a recap in another way here~~~ a few more stats I will list. So, it’s been 37 years since WMIV, 34 years since WMVII and 29 for WMXII. Next year are BIG numbers for 2 on this list which means then, all of UW’s WM’s will hit 30+. WOW… 😮 If a fan, can you recall what you were doing in your life for all of them or what age you were? I was always a teen and beyond, from going on 16 to going on to 24. 8 years total, how about that? 1988 to 1996 in all. He had 5 in a row and then 4 years later came back to have his last WM to ever be part of. More on this next time…

Another exciting piece of info to share concerns a recent workshop I attended on manifesting with my beautiful new energy healer. We were a small group of just 4, including her but it was an inspiring time connecting, sharing, and meditating together. I tend to get woozy so had to sit up near the end as no more weak stomach for me. 🤢 Some of you may remember… Anyways, our leader is writing a book as she had mentioned before~ so I brought up mine, just a little. After all, it was in the store but not sure where it got moved as we couldn’t locate it afterwards. The other woman in the group recently just received beautiful 🪶 feathers from a friend who insisted they were for her, but she didn’t truly know why. Cue Kathy to jump or should I say “run” in with that conversation! I honestly don’t know if that meant for her to be guided to my book but she was interested and we decided to meet up so she could purchase. We have not met up yet but hopefully soon. 🤞🏻 I don’t carry copies with me anymore but always so special when, despite the wrestling angle~~~ someone is wanting to know more about the spiritual aspect. I do hope she enjoys it and as you regulars know, SO MUCH more has been written since its inception in 2017. I’m excited to read my healer’s book (when it comes out) as it totally connects for me in many ways. I might just do a nature park adventure with the group again soon if the weather warms up and sticks around! These 30° temperature drops are not good for my skin here in Ohio… 😦

Here’s to a beautiful spring for all my northern friends and if you follow, WMXLI is weeks away. What will happen? Do you care? I care a little but we shall see if that gets a write up here or not. Happy 21st 🎂 🍺🎈 also to my son and to all of you~~~ keep manifesting your goals while moving forward as the warrior you need to be…oh- and yes~~~ I DO watch the WM’s that I OWN on their anniversary dates! The Kindness of Kamala 🤼‍♀️💙🥹

HUGE shift from last week warriors so I am excited to bring you today’s post! The name Kamala above refers to the pro wrestler,( a.k.a. James Harris) and NOT our former VP here in the US~ Kamala Harris. Interestingly enough, though how they share those same names, ha! 😂 James Harris, and James Hellwig, (a.k.a. The Ultimate Warrior) BOTH also shared the name of James and last initial of H. Anyone remember my license plate post about “James H” years ago? ☺️I am sharing snippets of Harris’s book today.

“The Ugandan Giant” passed in 2020 but these statements I will detail are from his autobiography- “ Kamala Speaks” published in 2015. I printed out what was posted to the UW Facebook group by Leighton Baller so I thank him for the inspiration today whether he reads this or not. I had to laugh once printing it all out and looking at the papers. After cutting them down to size, I noticed there are 6 papers. 6~~~ which is my number once again as we near the anniversary of WMVI. I swear, that could not have happened any other way… I was so joyful to read these excerpts from Kamala’s book since it was much needed after the frustration of last week. It’s going to be very hard to quote without sharing it all but I will choose my favorites.

I have to say this though, my thirst for knowledge always inspires many writings so looking up James Harris, who is listed as “Kamala” was a must. I do find much about these former pro wrestlers lives truly fascinating, despite many hardships which came their way.

To all the naysayers of Ultimate Warrior, Warrior, or how he handled himself professionally, read these upcoming quotes! I do hope there are not haters reading, but it’s still worth a mention. Many perhaps are trolling just looking for attention. To all the loyal and true UW and W fans out there, please read or get your copy of Kamala’s book. I will link the FB post as a PS, but unsure if you would be able to find it unless a member of the group. I can always try though. Maybe Warrior and Kamala reunited up in “parts unknown”, and again would greet each other as James. 🙂

Kamala liked his run with UW for so many reasons and that is always wonderful to read or hear since it does seem a rarity. There are plenty of guys who can and do have nice memories of working with UW, but these stories from Kamala’s book are priceless to me. I had a difficult time copying and printing it out so needed to ask for help. You’d think it would be so simple to screenshot the text, send as an email, and then print since that’s what we do. I miss having the printing app! Unfortunately, it wasn’t that easy as it’s from a social site but really~~~ that shouldn’t matter. I still don’t understand what was told to me by my husband with those concerns but I’m thankful I found a way to keep these words. Possibly a glitch is because it’s copyrighted material from a book, but I have done that tons of times so it’s still a mystery as I am not a tech person.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite quotes from “Kamala Speaks” concerning his thoughts on working with The Ultimate Warrior. We’ll start with this one: “ his persistence and his success didn’t at all make him a bad person.” READ THAT MULTIPLE TIMES!!!! Most know Warrior wasn’t a “partier”, but Kamala states how: “ He felt it was disrespectful to their own minds, their bodies, and also the safety of their opponents.” These are things I knew but it’s great to read how someone else totally agreed and was the same way out of the ring. Yes, it alienated Warrior but staying true to principles was Warrior’s game, not snorting “ booger sugar”, as Kamala puts it.

Warrior understood some of the wrestlers situations of not getting paid well and offered Kamala rides in his limo instead of splitting the cost with other guys. UW was a bigger star so had extra perks, but DID help out the boys unbeknownst to many perhaps. Kamala was very humbled by UW’s gesture as he seemed to shrug off the money as no big deal when guys were struggling. Another kind act (as my title can be reversed here) by the other James H occurred a number of times. Kamala writes: “ You see, appreciating my efforts to make him look good, he had picked up my tab for one of the best rooms the hotel had to offer.” Kamala helped out a young “ Blade Runner” named Rock ( aka- James Hellwig) back in the day with face paint so the favor was returned many years later and then some! What a cool story…

Kamala was happy UW got inducted into the WWE HOF in 2014 and was finally understood by those in the business. He even says: “ A lot of people didn’t understand Jim Hellwig, but I did. He respected people that stood up for what they believed in.” THANK YOU JAMES HARRIS ( aka- Kamala) for your kindness towards Warrior which will always be known, felt, and I hope treasured by others outside of reading today. He made a few jokes too, so I loved his humorous take. From one tribal- like warrior to another, they shared similarities, despite not sharing physicalities!

I would love to know more, but so glad to have these pieces of his book. What a life Kamala had as much as extremely tragic. He had a great pro wrestling career though with so many moments to remember. I’m grateful to know Kamala and Warrior were friends. Neither played “the game” of a party lifestyle, and that in turn bonded them. To both James H’s~~ take a limo anywhere you wanna go and stay in THE best hotels wherever you are!
