β€œIt’s Never One Thing!”

Before I begin today, there’s a few things needing to be acknowledged. First, it’s my daughter’s 13th birthday and also the 5th anniversary of my Warrior logo tattoo. You can find that story blogged or in my book Spirit and Belief. Another memory of five years ago, what an adventure! Now, I have two teenagers– oh my… 😬

O.K., now with the present topic written above. That also seems to be a newer catchphrase of mine and I really think it belongs on a t-shirt (: Think about all those things in your life whether good or bad. It can be people, places, objects, or anything. I will bet the reasons you like or dislike them are many. That’s certainly true for me. Even hobbies or interests give many feelings that are never one thing- like with Warrior.

I often times reference that statement when really discussing him with like-minded folks. You gotta get that celebrity thing out of the way first and learn more. For me years ago, um… that wasn’t an issue. Why would it be? Us fans only saw and knew what was on our T.V’s. What a different world today with all the social media out there. There were always other shows I watched with it being more than one reason why. I know you can think of yours and make a list that fits.

How about a job you have? Whatever it is, I know there are many reasons you have for liking/disliking/having/aspiring etc. that involves something other than one concept. It is anything and everything! Sometimes it really can be one reason but that probably is a rarity. Are you a parent? Why do you live where you are? What foods do you love? How about animals? Just some questions to ask yourself with regards to this huge topic. We all can relate in our lives.

It has been and continues to be quite the evolution with me and Warrior. So many connectors and reasons why he has remained with my own longevity. Just like with any start, we all have a drawing point. That point then expands like it typically does. This is especially true with people. Any relationship begins small with little similarities but then grows into more bigger ones. Of course this can be friendship, romance, physical, or even ya know– spiritual! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ’™

I have listed so many attributes of mine and Warrior and even made a YouTube video about a pros/cons list. We all need to get to those many reasons that bring us towards something. Maybe there is one thing that beats them all but they are still roped together. It’s like building a house. It needs that foundation to support the rest.

Always have I tried to share my many things with all of you but with Warrior— there isn’t just one! If I had to pick some qualities they would have to be loyalty, honesty, and trust. I know how he felt about those words based on his experiences and yet they parallel mine. I also show the humor since that is so important and maybe one not too many associated with him often. Always find something good, even in naysayers.

The truth is that none of us are one thing at all. If you ask others what they like or admire about you, it’s more than likely one thing. Disliking is different but respect should be many attributes. At least I hope that’s how it is for any of you. Sometimes relationships end over one element and that’s unfortunate. My wish is that they get stronger over time based on how we grow and evolve. Everyone is different though.

I love how honest kids are with stuff. They might like or dislike something for just one reason. How many times have I heard similar answers from my own!? “It’s just funny!” “I just like it.” (Or don’t) “It’s mine!” It just might be that simple for us adults too. For most though, we have more reasons and want more.

My whole life has never been just one thing with most of the passions I pursue. Can you answer the same? If not, no big deal but just always remember to start small and keep that foundation from crumbling…….

Moments and Memories

This post will conclude my experiences and emotions regarding five years ago with Warrior’s passing. I’m not sharing my whole day of shock upon hearing the news on April 9, but wanted to relate my grief and the tribute on RAW April 14.

When my brother informed me of the tribute, I had no idea of what to expect. I just knew for those brief minutes that WWE would be on my T.V. that night. The whole day my stomach was in knots as time passed way too fast. I became more immersed in my activities while trying to avoid distractions. So many scenarios played out in my head as I anticipated that volcano inside my throat. πŸŒ‹

I had to tell my husband why I wanted to watch RAW which we don’t. So needed to form my words correctly without tears. Prior to this, it was our family game night that the kids initiated a few weeks before. They picked Clue Jr. and Mama calmed her heart to play. Sometimes these games take too long and had to mention possibly cutting it short. There was something on T.V. their Mama needed to watch. Luckily, it ended with about 20 minutes before 8:00–RAW time.

I explained to my husband how my favorite wrestler passed away recently and they were giving him a tribute on RAW. No big deal to him really. Why did I care so much? After all, it wasn’t just his T.V., right? The eerie part for me was where I sat to watch. Really wasn’t even thinking but ended up in the exact same spot I sat a week ago. A week ago when Warrior was still alive making his last television appearance on RAW. That didn’t faze me until later. Very different feelings just 7 days ago.

While watching after several minutes, my husband saw part of the Ultimate Warrior‘s IC title win over Honky Tonk Man. He looked at the T.V. pointed to HTM, and asked:“Is that him?” He meant Warrior. Since I never liked the bad guys as previously blogged, my face grimaced some while slowly saying:“Noo, he’s the other guy…” Not wanting to cry, a little smile formed on my face. Let’s just say emotion-wise that his comment about HTM was better than if we’d seen Undertaker!!! So very glad to see the Honky Tonk Man get inducted this year.

Guess the humor was needed for just a moment. My husband was completely clueless about all this and I wasn’t ready to share. I was actually better than I thought during the tribute but music gets me every time. Every single time. The song “One More Time” by

7 Lions was perfect with the part played. It seemed so wrong to hear the Ultimate Warrior’s theme music without seeing him running or just physically there. I applaud Triple H for getting the crowd going as hearing that music, well, you just can’t sit still. I do have a post about “Unstable” coming soon so stay tuned… Of course the next day, I watched it all again by myself tissues in hand. πŸ’”πŸ˜’

After the memorial tribute was over, I knew that volcano needed to erupt. I tapped my foot constantly while digging my nails into the side of the couch. I told my husband he could change the channel as I left the room.

Going upstairs to be alone seemed too obvious so I made my way into our half bathroom off the kitchen. After a few moments of silenced sobs, I turned on the faucet full blast to mask my tears. My ugly cries came yet again. That early April made me lose my voice from grief but I blamed it on the exceptionally warm spring which brought about my “cold.”

I’m sharing my story not out of extreme sad memories or my horrible emotional state back then at all. It is being written to show how grief knows no barriers whatsoever. We all grieve, even over losing things. It isn’t just people. I’ve even grieved over getting our new van a few years ago after having our first one 11 years. This year, it’s a new pool that’s replacing our old one and yes, I’ll grieve again. Am sure Dana grieved when selling Casa de Warrior a few years back.

Your grief is yours alone and it knows no time. You will know what journey is truly yours and there is no comparison. Some can say I was crazy to grieve so long and hard for a celebrity. Believe me, I questioned it also. Grief never fully goes away but just changes over time. I debunk many myths we buy into in my book Spirit and Belief.

I kept so much hidden for various reasons and very glad not to hide anymore. Slay those naysayers warriors! Don’t ever feel like your grief doesn’t matter because it does!! Perhaps Dana seemed so strong to all of us but she has such a huge support system which I never had.

Remember that we all need to be validated and go thru a process to get where we are today. We all go in different directions but need support along the way. I validate your grief for whatever reasons and truly understand. We need to let it out and not push it down. Without my process, I wouldn’t be doing all I am now in memory of Warrior. He gave me that validation and supported me from the start.

So, I am moving on from these moments and memories as I continue making new ones. Please do that too. My humor will be back very soon as it is the backbone of many posts! I realize sharing your grief or stories can be so challenging but know you are not alone. Grief makes us stronger.

Just don’t wallow too much as the spirit needs to laugh as well. Make that grief your OWN and let it pass as it needs to. A Warrior is strong but also tender. Celebrate how your sadness makes you real because it matters. A relative, celebrity, an object or memory, we have them all. Some we lose but some we keep. Make sure you keep what’s important as it reflects your life. The ones you keep are imprinted in your soul. Never let anyone deny that of you.

I will never forget April 14 as another moment and memory for me but know it let to a higher purpose. My story makes a difference just like yours does for you. Never by defined by myths, they are meant to be debunked. Grief will lead to joy. Go with it and your strong warrior self will make it truly ultimate. Being “sensitive,” “emotional,” or “too dramatic” isn’t a curse. It’s a blessing and what a life lesson it has been for me. πŸ’™πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ™πŸ»~~~ Kathy

Five HOF Warrior Years

With Wrestlemania 35 and the WWE HOF this weekend, I’d like to share a few of my HOF related memories. I, like most true Ultimate Warrior fans will always remember his induction five years ago on April 5, 2014. As readers of this blog and quite possibly my book Spirit and Belief also may know, two signs in my home fell on April 5, 2016. The third April 5 connector was just last year when I attended a book event that became “The Library Lift-off” blog post. So, April 5 will always remain as another of my most fondest memories with dates and Warrior. Maybe I’ll get something next year with those even numbered years?

Five years ago also brought the first basketball game we attended as a family. My husband and I had gone to a few but never with the kids. My son in 4th grade (yet again with that grade!) had won a ticket to see the Cleveland Cavaliers through school. We were all so excited! Our family of four celebrated my son’s birthday a week later even though the Cavs lost. It was so great seeing this boy getting into the crowd with his chants of “DEFENSE!” I can’t believe he just turned 15.. πŸ’™πŸ˜² Where have five years gone???

I remember glancing upward seeing retired jerseys in the rafters. Those names were of players I followed back in high school. Just like a memory of someone else I followed in high school.

While watching the game, my mind thought of Warrior who later in the evening would take his rightful place in his professional home. I did have several moments of distractions of course but all filled with such pride. First my son and then of Warrior. I guess it was a good thing being at the arena instead of home for me that night.

The Cavs may have lost but my son won with inviting our hometown team into his heart. That began those two years of emotion until our BIG title win in 2016. Warrior also won with a different kind of victory that didn’t involve a court or even a wrestling ring. He was gifted with an HOF ring meaning much more than a title or a belt.

So, again where have these last five years gone? I ask that sometimes over the years with my kids but never thought that question would involve Warrior on his passing. That’s why I wanted to remember and share in his HOF more. I’m not one of those mothers who gets all sappy with time. Sure, I can go there in a second but I don’t. It can seem like just yesterday in many ways but the feeling is neutral for me.

I was always home with my kids so heck yeah– the time is very real in its years! They are 15 and almost 13. The same is true of Warrior. Five years can seem like yesterday but then after everything I’ve gone through, it really sounds about right being that long.

When looking at photos, it’s the same yet again. I have a picture of my son from another Cavs game in his photo frame where I see it everyday. That twelve year old looking so intent had no idea Mom was taking his picture. Yesterday and now all at once. The photos I have of Warrior echo that too as is probably true for all of us.

Do you perceive time passing the same or different than me? Guess that all depends on your life and those moments lived which are different for each person. There is no time or space up in parts unknown so as a spirit, Warrior isn’t confined anymore with those terms as we are here.

However you view time, just make it count and become memorable. Warrior would want nothing less from us as he always made his moments count. Gosh, I can still view myself first watching WWF and can’t believe that was 35 years ago! BTW– I was 12. Videos bring memories back even more than photos and that’s o.k. too. It’s good to remember but just don’t live in the past too long.

I reflect on many dates and passages of time but need the happy more than the sadness. I hope you do the same. Five years, thirty, or thirty-five, remember with pride and then live for the now.

~~~ Happy Five HOF years Warrior as I look back on April 5 and know that time passes as it must. ~~~”This too shall come to pass and until we meet again, I will always believe!” ~~ Kathy (with a little bit of quoting Warrior)
P.S. I first started watching WWF 35 years ago as it becomes WM35 this year! πŸ’–πŸ’™πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ™πŸ»
P.P.S. I have used a few HOF pics before so wanted a different one for this post!
The Jump-Start on Journaling πŸ““πŸ“”πŸ“’
Do you write stuff down? Maybe not like my journals but am sure you do in one way or another. Let’s see– grocery lists, post-it’s, or a to do list for the day. I actually still do some of these but maybe you make your lists with your phone or other device nowadays!
Guess I’m just a writer (: Warrior also wrote. Every single day. I loved hearing about all the cute notes written to his lovely warrior girls inspiring their days. He also made a journal for his two daughters after they were born. I can only imagine how he filled those up with his OWN brand of fatherly wisdom. πŸ’–πŸ“
I was always humbled with my writing as evidenced with the notebook on the far left. Here’s another “item” I kept from high school. It was part of my sophomore service project where we had to volunteer for 30 hours at a place of business and keep a journal. This was graded and needed to be a place you’d consider for a possible career. I chose a daycare center since that really began my experience working with young children.
I loved writing my adventures with these pre-k students and gave no thought to what grade I’d receive. At the end of the school year, they were returned. The teacher was handing them out and then proceeded to give a short speech on a certain someone’s. I had no idea he was talking about me at first. Then, while moving towards my desk he held it like it weighed A TON! It was a huge compliment but like most teenagers— I was totally embarrassed! Never did I forget that moment so who knows~~ that might’ve jump started my journaling abilities!! YES, I did get an A πŸ˜‰…
The other notebooks are filled with inspirational quotes, tips for writing, goals/ plans for my book Spirit and Belief, speaking gigs, techniques from others, and all great stuff. I love adding ideas while becoming educated all at once.
If you aren’t a natural with writing and would like some prompts, go for it! Sure, you can google some but you are reading this so it’s my job HERE. Just start with a few, short, simple ideas. Ask yourself personal or professional questions. List favorite activities. What makes you happy? What are some goals for the day/week/ month, etc. Whatever you like. There are NO rules. You can’t go wrong, be creative! Just don’t list too many at once.
Teachers do this activity with school kids as prompts but we adults need them too. If it really interests you, you’ll make the time without excuses. I love reading books and since some are from the library, I can’t highlight! This is a great journal idea. I wrote down some cool lines from chapters that resonated with me. I read them for a quick pick me up when needing confidence. I have bought plenty of books too. This might not be your thing and that’s ok, chose what works for you.
The fun part is to go back a few months later and see if your list is the same or different. Maybe new ideas get added and some get crossed off. Maybe small ones get turned into bigger ones. You don’t need to be a professional writer to jot down what’s important to you. Guys too!! Another great thing is if you write something down~~ you will more likely achieve it than not. This is ABSOLUTELY true! Once you focus on a thought in print, it is more willing to manifest into a reality.
It has kept me focused and not just the business end but personal events too. What a difference journaling has made for me and if you give it a try, I guarantee you’ll benefit greatly. Again, don’t start too big or complex in goals or ideas. You’ll become too frustrated and possibly even feel defeated. My suggestion for beginners is to just make fun lists or mantras you love. That way when you branch out into more challenging aspects, your lovely lists will boost you up!
Perhaps one of these days, Dana will work on releasing some of Warrior’s many journals in print for us fans. She has mentioned that since some were asking but what a daunting task! He wrote so much years ago before significant matches. I would be interested to hear what he journaled before Wrestlemania VI, VII, or others! She did have lots to pack up before her move a few years ago so what became of his many journals? Hmmmm.? I would love that answer…
I do hope you find your OWN way to take a jump start on journaling if it inspires you. Get a notebook and just jot down anything you want! I never seem to have that writer’s block but many do. There are lots of prompts out there as well as benefits but I hope my ideas got you thinking. Maybe you even kept some stuff from school like I did 😜. You’re better than that teenage “angst” but now it’s adult “angst!”
~~~ Whatever you write, just know it won’t be graded. Maybe too you can give it to your kids when they grow up!!

Be Your OWN Boss! (mostly…)

Are you your own boss? I guess you can take that statement however you wish. It can mean literally being your own employer financially or being in charge of your life. Some aren’t both but I so hope you are the latter. Here we are again with yet another commonality I have with Warrior. He had “issues” with authority at times and so did I. Am sure most employees do at some point in their career whether it’s the boss, co-workers, pay, extra time, or the workplace. The list goes on.

When you begin a job, it’s probably the same for most of us. At least I hope so. You’re excited since it’s a new chapter in your life open to all kinds of possibilities. You get to know the “rules” and people while creating your own style of work. The challenge is upon you while rising eagerly accepting mentors. After a while, you want your opinion heard and respected. Little things may begin to irritate you but it’s stuff that doesn’t stick around for long.

Then, the bigger changes occur. We can all relate, right? The boss asks you to come in earlier, stay later, work from home, take a pay cut, come in on your day off, etc. You get the idea. That annoying co-worker just got even weirder… You may not get that elusive raise or promotion after all. Ugh… what to do? Sometimes we don’t have a choice and really need the job and paycheck. Maybe you still really love the work but dislike other factors.

If you aren’t familiar with Warrior’s career in the WWE, you can look all that up and come to your own conclusion. I personally believe he did better creatively being his OWN boss. There’s a reason we butt heads with authority but again like I’ve said before: it’s all about the WHY and HOW, not always the WHAT. Some say he was “difficult to work with” but those same people forget all the consecutive years he DID give– without a break. Some also say he made others wait, didn’t live up to contracts, or any of that. We don’t know the full story. Some have great things to say about him too!

It also connects to the deep down truth of his inner boss coming more and more to the surface. I for one am glad he pursued other opportunities despite not receiving the bigger paycheck. A few business ventures didn’t always work out but he tried a variety of interests. We ALL should. Vince McMahon is also a very highly creative person and sometimes compromise becomes too hard. Warrior eventually became his own boss while still inspiring. That’s exactly what he wanted and needed to do.

For my life, a preschool teacher’s situations weren’t exactly the same as a pro wrestlers but the emotion ALWAYS is. I left both my jobs as a result of “friction” and have no regrets. OK, the second job was because I became pregnant but I was planning on quitting anyway.

Who knows if my future will contain another similar job in the workforce but I gotta say– I feel more fulfilled now. I’m my own boss as a blogger, published author of Spirit and Belief, and now becoming a spiritual coach. The coaching thing is new but that’s my passion as I continue without a boss in my ear. I realize most don’t this luxury and believe me, I am grateful every single day. You can be your own boss in so many other ways though.

I’m learning that more all the time but it’s just feeling more comfortable being ME and loving it. Do a few little extras just for you sometimes that normally aren’t in the daily routine. Remember those things you loved doing but don’t always have the time for anymore? DO THEM and make the time. You will feel better and more versatile with knowing your life isn’t the 9-5 job.

Also, being your own boss is not letting others dictate how you need to be. I’m not saying ” F_ _ __ what others think.” That was Warrior! It means to not hide your abilities and interests just to please others. Be in charge and in control of what makes you happy. It doesn’t mean to ignore everyone but just don’t conform and become a doormat. You are the only one that can do this, nobody else can. It might be difficult doing something new or different but exciting also! Live within your means like Warrior said but also live your life with passion, not drudgery.

This Valentine’s Day, why not express self-love more? Not everyone has a romance and this Holiday doesn’t need to be all that anyway. I can give you suggestions but am sure your creative self can come up with plenty. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ» To be your OWN boss involves some thinking but focus on one area first. How can you best become that boss of your life which is necessary? Take time to answer that but remember to love yourself first. It is so important to know. Enjoy the process and my wish is for you to discover how to truly OWN becoming a boss in your life. HAPPY LOVE DAY SELF BOSSES! πŸ’–β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ₯°πŸ€—β£οΈπŸ’“πŸŽπŸ’˜πŸ’—πŸ’ž#selflove#beyourownboss

Q and A Warrior Time…

I decided with this post to answer some questions asked of me regarding the spiritual connection between Warrior and myself. Some have been asked at events, social media, or on my blogs. There were others but I will list the biggies so if you have another question, fire away! I do hope this will inspire any of you to believe in your own spiritual power and connectedness to the Universe everyday. Let’s begin…

How do you feel his presence and are there certain times of the day he connects?

This is such a great one as it applies to all of us when connecting with a passed spirit. I have a YouTube video on this as well called: “Times Spirits Visit” so you can check that out! With Warrior, I usually feel his presence when watching The Ultimate Collection DVD as goosebumps fill my entire body. They are literally HUGE! Crazy, right? A lot are Warrior and Randy moments or matches involving guys he truly respected. Also, when working out which could be a given but I remain humble. Music is amazing and that works with my basement light going out during certain songs! Be consistent, spirits do respond.😏

Were you ever afraid or doubted anything?

No, because I recognized the source and believed in the signs. I did question myself as the recipient for a long time thinking others were more worthy. I never thought how much I was in alignment with him and even though I know better now, I didn’t back then. The signs made sense from Warrior and I couldn’t refuse them. Some people are scared or have had other surreal experiences not like mine so I can understand their feelings. This process can be challenging but I always try to seek answers. Maybe he knows I’m up for an “ultimate challenge” but maybe he isn’t sure what I’ll do!

Is there one big event that led to Warrior connecting with you?

YES! I have said this time and time again but meditation was the key for me. I had small signs after he passed but the most intense moments came a month after beginning meditation. I’ve blogged about it and made a video so it’s worth repeating! My spirit visit dreams started that whole year of 2016 for me. (This leads into the next question….)

Have you had any dreams with him and what’s the difference between a visit dream and a regular one?

Oh my.. I believe he’s been in 7 dreams of mine so far ( great number!) but a few others mentioning him as well. A spirit visit dream is one in which you will never forget filled with symbolism just right for you. I have made a few videos on this and my first one has over 800 views which is super exciting! They have direct contact with you in some way, are very vivid, there is a personal message, and they aren’t just in the background. Most are right before you wake up so you will remember. Some I’ve blogged or are in my book Spirit and Belief. If you have some traits with others, see how yours match up with my thoughts. They are real and can happen to anyone from anyone in spirit. The message is the gift.

Have you been contacted by anyone else in spirit or other celebrities?

I have had many spirit Visit Dreams over the years from relatives but one from a woman I never met. I believe that opened the door for me to Warrior as well many years prior. No other celebrities as there has to be a purpose and I’m not invoking!

What made you start writing a blog?

All these books kept saying write it down, write it down! I started with the dreams of others I had and then began with the Warrior stories. I truly believed ( with some hesitation of course) they could help educate others on so many myths regarding this spiritual development. Everyone has abilities if you want to tap into them. It stayed in my head until I finally did some research and went for it! So glad I did as that led to the book, website, and blog number two. I didn’t even initially want Warrior’s name linked to my book as I thought I could do everything on my own. I realized later how disrespectful that would’ve been. It’s not a “celebrity tell-all” book but people will believe what they want. I continued the blog even though I thought it was over last year (haha!) since more stories just kept coming. So am hoping others are getting inspired to share their stories too! I just kept listening to my intuition which has been my message since day one.

The last remaining questions I believe have been answered numerous times but will sum up for anyone new. Intuition is your instinct or “gut” feeling– LISTEN to it and follow. Go with it. If you don’t you might get some physical symptoms or uneasy feelings. Instincts aren’t questioned and are easy to decide. My nervous stomach is gone now that I respond to my intuitive self. Warrior used the word intuition A LOT and more than I ever knew.

We can all tap into our intuition and psychic abilities. It can be fun and doesn’t have to be serious all the time! If you have a good intention with purpose, the Universe knows. You need to let go of outcomes and expectations of how you “think” it’s going to go. I never invoked Warrior directly but indirectly was doing aligned actions my brain wasn’t aware of at the time.

With patience, persistence, time, and consistency, Spirits will guide you. Signs will appear. Start small and take your time. Do what works for you. Read books, go out in nature, pray, meditate, do stuff you enjoy, the list is endless! Just stay true to your own values and it will work with time. Don’t let your ego get in the way with negative self-talk but trust and believe. The heart decides. It is the real you. ❀️

There are many common signs from loved ones in spirit and yours are chosen just for you. They will connect if they really want your attention. Just stay open and look for things out of the ordinary. Yours can be subtle, big, familiar, or maybe not at first. Keep track or write things down. It works! Don’t compare yourself to others since your journey is only for you to take.

Yes, it can be different with a celebrity since we might not think we are worthy of their time but we ARE and signs are the same. Once you have that connection, it becomes ULTIMATE! Have fun with your new friend in spirit. I truly believe in educating others and I know Warrior is my tag team partner!!πŸ’ͺ🏻

Kid Warrior-isms

Kids do indeed say the darndest things. These fun stories popped in my head as I remembered this date of November 14 and my Toys R Us connection. So sad how those stores closed but grateful my kids enjoyed memories… πŸ₯Ί I even had a personal one with Warrior blogged about and also in my book Spirit and Belief. I’ll get to the photo above in a bit..,, Too funny!

So, onto my kids and these sillies that didn’t make it into the book. LOVED writing them all down so I wouldn’t forget and then another one came into memory. I’ll share the ones that REALLY got to me and some more than others.

Remember, most of these occurred shortly after Warrior’s passing and ALL made me laugh. Kids are messengers too and I do believe Warrior sent his energy to them. Way too many to doubt. What to start with? Well, my daughter had much more in her than my son and she is a Gemini like Warrior (remember last week’s post?) Warrior has two daughters so who knows?

She is quite the character herself and not long after Warrior was gone, she started thumping her chest and doing a similar snarl out of the blue. I KNOW– crazy!! I asked her so many times as to why and all she would say is: “Because it’s funny!” It was a brief time but I remembered.

When I was watching the 25th anniversary of WMVI in 2015, my daughter came into the room. It always falls on Spring Break so the kids are home from school then. I fully expected some unusual comments as I had never watched this in front of anyone. I was ready– bring it on girlie! After a few minutes, she asked: “Who’s the old guy with the mustache?” I could’ve answered another way but nicely I said: “Neither of them are old, he just looks that way.” I then was ready yet again for another comment but she didn’t say anything about Warrior. I did tell her how Mommy likes the other guy while chuckling to myself about the “old guy.”

Another time she was on the couch playing with her dolls and then I heard her say in the EXACT way Brother Love did: “I LOOOVE YOU!” (insert accent, he was a spoof of the 80’s televangelists, aka Jim Baker) I couldn’t believe that voice was coming out of her. When I asked about it, she just sorta denied the whole thing and laughed….

Oh this girl. Another funny (some are wrestling related and not necessarily Warrior) was when we attended her Literacy Night together at the elementary school. We were in the cafeteria and they were showing a power point on labeling a diagram. The picture was a gorilla and I whispered while elbowing her: “Hey, it’s your soccer team name!” She looked so confused and scoffed saying: “Um, no–we were the Monsoons, not the Gorillas!” I just started laughing so incredibly hard, she did too and we almost fell off our chairs! People were looking and we pretended to notice something outside. I’m laughing now, such bonding and we weren’t home for this one! Gorilla Monsoon was with the WWE back in the day….

I’ll move on to my son and a few of his moments that made the cut. A few times this happened and it wasn’t wrestling related but very Warrior related. Here’s the photo story….

My boy would just walk into the room where I was sitting and sing: “Firepower!” Whaaaaat??? He’d keep walking like no big deal. Was I imagining? It was inquisition time for sure. The poor kid got so annoyed with Mom’s constant questions! It went something like this:

“Why are you saying that?”

“Where do you know it from?”

“Are kids saying it?”

“Is it in a new video game?”

“Did something go on in school, the bus, a cartoon?”

You name it, I asked it. Finally, he said it would pop in his head and he just knows it. That’s all I ever got out of him and had to accept his answer. Sure, kids say things but this expression was NOT my kid and if he had a logical answer, he’d tell me. For all you confused out there, Firepower was the name of a movie Warrior starred in 1993 in which he was a bad guy named the Swordsman. That photo is of him on the set.

It was just the WAY my son said it in a loud voice and then leaving.., bizarre, funny, and yet totally made me amazed.

He also had this water gun called “Warrior Web Ultimate Outlaws” (I think that was it) and hard to believe both words on that. Ah, kids toys. It was always very temperamental and I seemed to be the only one who could get it to work. Kinda ironic, isn’t it?

Both kids would sing: “Macho Man” randomly sometimes around the house while walking around or playing. I might’ve egged them on a bit after playing my Disco 70’s CD one day but this continued for months! I have always loved the Warrior and Randy moments and the Ultimate Maniacs~~ great date today! More are in my book…

The word “ultimate” seemed to appear in both kids vocabulary and believe me when I say they NEVER ever used that word before and now rarely do. For my girl, it was a “grand finale” jumping off the swing set as the “ultimate” ending. For my boy, he used it to describe the biggest water balloon he was saving for last. He threw it at the garage while shouting: “the Ultimate!” It burst everywhere as he ran away inside. I was left to pick up the pieces. What a funny little twist of fate that was but it’s all good.

There you have it. My kids and their weird yet comical behavior mostly being in the spring and summer of 2014. If you knew them, you’d know their vocabulary or behavior. This stuff was not that at all. My girl has more little sillies but these experiences left me wondering and yet without feeling naive, I believed.

They might not sound funny to you but they were to me as I still laugh today!!! Kids REALLY do say the darndest things but they act the darndest too. Look for those constant signs and you’ll be a believer too. After all, kids are honest (well, most of the time) and Warrior’s beliefs revolve around honesty. They were funny and Warrior IS funny! That too, I will always believe…

Virgo and Gemini, I Get It

As you can see warriors, this post is about these crazy birth signs of ours so am referencing those gentlemen in the photo. Vince McMahon was always off-limits for me as I am not examining his relationship with Warrior or any other business related professionals. I am however, going to share my involvement in this as it always connects to me.

Have you ever read your daily horoscope? Not horror– for all you skeptics! Have you ever read up on astrological birth traits? If you have, you might tell where this is headed but if not– let me help you out just a little. I’ve mentioned Warrior and my daughter sharing that Gemini sign many times but Vince and I share the Virgo one. No, I don’t go looking up people but happened to come across this information on twitter a few years ago.

All those Happy Birthday wishes for Mr. McMahon and oh, so sweet! Once I realized we both are Virgos, how do you think I reacted? “OMG, I can’t believe it, how super cool!” Nope– not mine at all. I just said to my phone: “I get it.” What does that even mean? I cried a little which sounds weird I know… I understand what it’s like to be a Virgo and while some traits are not me all the time, most are. You can look up your own but just know mine involves stubbornness, a good work ethic, organized, and emotional. The emotion part is not what it seems. WE CARE A LOT.

I’ve read some quotes from Mr. McMahon and he has said the relationships with some of the superstars back in the day was: “never just business for me.” Warrior and him had a very strong personal bond. Virgos like being in control and being right but our heart is out there. I would always blame Vince for everything bad that I didn’t like with um, you know who. After all, “don’t cross the Boss!” Right? He was the obvious target until fans knew more of the story.

Another interesting so-called “fact” is that Virgos and Geminis are a bad mix and don’t get along. Let’s see— I’ve got that girl/girl dynamic with my daughter, Vince and Warrior had the guy/guy dynamic so I guess that leaves me and Warrior with the girl/guy dynamic. We actually share some traits but I can see aspects of clashing too. I have said also that I didn’t always agree with Warrior’s views but never lost respect for him, never… Geminis are stubborn too and put their heart into what they do. Respecting authority was sometimes difficult for Warrior but again– he didn’t have that much in his past which is the WHY. Forget all the “specifics” of what people say about possible opposites. I can clash with my daughter too but we come together when it counts the most.

I do believe and Vince has said this too but he and Warrior were more alike than different. Intellectual yet creative. They fought passionately for what they believed in and I do too. This helped me understand Vince a little more also and not just from a business perspective. My daughter is passionate too and in fact had to look up info several years ago as I became perplexed with her behavior. I needed more and it was very clear to me as to why she reacted the way she did in some situations.

I realize this isn’t for everyone and I don’t follow astrology regularly but it does provide some insight and it did for me. Sure, it can be fun just to see how your day gets played out but don’t get too caught up as it isn’t healthy. At least I don’t think so.

We should always look to the good and not the bad. When most think of those guys in that photo, negative memories will surface. Isn’t that a shame? I actually want to remember the good they did together despite their differences at times. This photo, great memory. Clashing yes– for a while but like I have stated before as well, you gotta get to the WHY and HOW not just the WHAT. Most people don’t. Things are not always what we think or how they seem. To be without emotion means you don’t care and they both did—- so much.

My relationship with Warrior in spirit isn’t one of clashing at all but it’s different energy in that way. We have so much in common and more than I ever thought. Of course it has nothing to do with money, (my book a little!) a character, fame, or any of that but the spiritual heart of him is the same. I am glad he did walk away from WWE actually since the possibility of being away from his family would’ve hurt his spirit more. He proved he could do other things in his life.

Here’s one final note to add: When I was first going thru all this with Warrior in the beginning, I wanted to use one word to describe him. That’s impossible! I was tired of hearing intense, energetic, disciplined, and others. The perfect word popped in my head— ENIGMA.

That was before I had the book where Vince used that word too. I walked away from the page knowing great Virgo minds think alike! Mystique was another great one but enigma is Ultimate!

I have had other moments when something popped in my head before ever looking at the book… “A Life Lived Forever.” I would then read or see things after I had an intuitive moment. My abilities and Warrior energy hard at work! πŸ€πŸ€”πŸ€”

P.S. Virgos= earth

Geminis= air

~~~ I think this is perfect since we always need both. πŸŒŽπŸ’¨
~~~ I know Virgo is a “maiden” but maybe Vince would prefer an Earth reference as “protector” of the WWE!

100 Warrior Writings

Well, Warrior fans, we’ve come upon another milestone. It’s official that these writings have reached 100 posts. WordPress told me that number happened a few weeks ago but that was including photos I posted without text. That doesn’t count for me but this does.

I was thinking of so many things to include like: “100 reasons…” or “Best Warrior quotes ever…” but then that just sounded so self-indulgent. I wasn’t even jumping up and down or wanting to shout it from the rooftops. Nope, not my style. It’s extremely humbling thinking this all began for me in the summer of June 2016 outside in my hammock. Never did I think blog at the time, or book, or even going longer than a year! I was ready to “retire” this blog last December before beginning my new one at: www.spiritandbelief.com in January.

Warrior kept going and inspiring me with so much to tell. 2 years, 40 countries, and all of YOU. 100 posts. I can’t even begin to comprehend all these writings and how it has impacted me. I sure hope you have been touched in some way or at least in the “Warrior way.”

I’m linking one of my favorite YouTube videos of him and there are sooo many but am sure some of you fans have your favorites also. Feel free to share them with me or connect on here, YouTube, Twitter, or however you wish! I love them all but definitely have my faves.

I will share a quote from Chapter 5 from the book: “Women Who Run With The Wolves” which I’ve discussed before but this TOTALLY applies to my journey with Warrior:

“There is a saying that when the student is ready, the teacher appears…. It is our work to learn. Without a task that challenges, there can be no transformation…” ~~~

Clarissa Pinkola Estes, 1992.

I thank Warrior.

I thank you Fans + Followers.

I thank Myself.

100 means ENERGY that’s self-determined, independent, and has infinite potential. 1 is leadership and 0 is openness, being whole. That’s me and these writings– being WHOLE. Happy 100 WarriorWritings! Don’t worry– 101 is coming about Halloween! I know Warrior is proud and I feel his energy everyday.
